  • Delayed Email Receive

    I'm using the Office 365 Small Business Outlook 2013 64-Bit, and for some reason it takes over an hour to update emails when doing Send/Receive. The process of Send/Receive itself only takes seconds, but it says complete without downloading the new emails.
    I can see the new emails on my iPhone, iPad, the email server itself on the web, and on my Office Outlook 2010 at home. For some reason Outlook 2013 will not acknowledge the new emails until it has been at least one hour despite showing a successfully completed
    Send/Receive about 10 times in the hour.
    I have the email account setup as IMAP on all of the devices (iPhone, iPad, Outlook 2010, and Outlook 2013).

    Hi,
    Do you have all Outlook updates installed? Please make sure your Outlook is up-to-date and then check the issue again. Also check if you have installed this hot fix:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2837618/en-us
    In addition, please temporarily turn off your firewall/security programs to check if the problem persists.

  • Several hour delay in receiving emails sent from mail?

    for 3 years i've had a pop email account with yahoo and it has worked flawlessly with my apple mail program until a few days ago when people started telling me that the emails i sent took several hours to reach them. so, using mail, i sent myself a test and confirmed the delay. emails i send immediately appear in my "sent" folder yet they don't reach their intended recipients until hours later. this problem is intermittent. there was a brief window the other day when emails i was sending from mail were arriving quickly. but, the problem soon returned and persists now. the problem does not affect the receiving of emails with mail. in other words, i am receiving all emails with mail. the problem only affects emails i send using apple mail.
    when i access my email account directly through yahoo to send emails, those emails arrive immediately.
    i hope i have described the problem clearly enough and i thank the community in advance for any insight and/or suggestions.

    If you select a message in Mail's message viewer, then select the menu item View > Message > Long Headers, the message headers will be displayed. Depending on how the message was routed, there may be several "Received" fields - these get added at each mail server that handles the message. Each "Received" field contains information such as IP addresses, host names, dates, and times - these can be used to tell how the message was routed and how long it took. Note that a sender can fake, or "spoof", their information (usually these are spammers), but once the message reaches real-world servers the information will be correct.

  • Delayed email - sending and receiving

    Has anyone experienced receiving a delayed email. I also received a message from postmaster on a delayed email being sent? If so, do you know of any fix for it?

    Hi Russa:
    That is usually caused by an ISP having server issues. I do not know of anything in Mail that would delay mail. I suggest you contact your ISP to see if they will acknowledge problems.

  • Random delay in receiving emails in Apple Mail

    Hi Everyone:
    I've searched online about this problem but I didn't find anything helpful for my situation. I'm hoping someone here can help me. The problem I'm having is that there is a delay in receiving emails in Apple Mail—and it's happening in random. Here's a list of things that pertain to the problem:
    1. Delays in receiving emails vary from 1 hour to 1 day. The delayed emails are actually sitting on the incoming email server and can be seen via webmail using a browser. So, to me, apparently this is a problem with Apple Mail not downloading the new email where it's clearly received on the server.
    2. The same delayed email, when resent by the sender a few times, randomly downloaded by Apple Mail in no particular order. One of the resent emails arrived with no delay while others are delayed again. This is one same email from one same sender.
    3. This problem happens on Macs running Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.x), Lion (10.7.x), and Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8.x). Different Macs, different email user accounts, same domain name. But, some other Macs with other user accounts on the same domain name have never had this problem ever.
    4. Besides this problem of delayed emails, I've also noticed another problem that seems to tag along: read emails or trashed emails will show up in the Inbox as unread/new emails the next day.
    The steps I've taken so far:
    1. Talked and had the email server provider checked the server and the delayed emails with long headers, and they found nothing wrong with the email server functions. I concurred as I can see the emails not delayed if I use the webmail/browser.
    2. Rebuilt the email account in Apple Mail, reset keychain to the email account, clear cache, fixed permissions on the Mac with the problem.
    And the problem persists...

    I am having a similiar problem with emails sent to my 10.6 xserve.
    I have noticed most, if not all, of the problems are connected to email coming from google servers i.e. [email protected]  As I also administer a google business account I contacted Google and when they looked into it indicated this sometime has something to do with google's 'Undo Send" function.  However in my case google is indicating it is an issue on my server with no further explination.

  • Major delays in receiving emails

    I have been experiencing serious delays in receiving emails at my .mac account. I have seen a number of other people post about this problem, but none of those threads contains an answer, unfortunately! (And all of those topics are now archived so I can't add to them.) What I discovered from those threads is that this problem has nothing to do with the .mac server status. When I check my mail via webmail, I can see all the mail in there without delay, but it's when I try to use the mac mail program that I experience delays. One person will email four times in the same hour, and I will receive two of those emails immediately, and the the other two won't show up for another 12 hours. I use this mail account for my business, but I won't be able to continue doing so if I can't figure this out...
    Those other people were experiencing this problem in Jan/Feb/March/April... I just started experiencing this problem a few weeks back. Some days it's fine, but most days at least 5-10 of my emails are delayed by 6-12 hours.
    Thanks for any help!

  • Delayed email delivery using mail app in Lion

    I'm having issues with delayed email delivery using the mail app in Lion. Specifically I have an IMAP account (AOL) that is working fine on other macs running snow leopard and on both an iPhone and an iPad. I receive an email that shows up on all other devices but does not get delivered on the Macbook Air. Clicking get new messages does not delivery the email, even if other emails have been delivered in the interim. The only way to get the email to show up is to exit Mail and restart it - and then the email shows up, in the correct date/time order and the correct read status (since I had already read it on another device).
    This has happened twice now with my AOL account in the past 24 hours (I've only had the new Macbook Air since Monday). It might also be happening on my other IMAP email accounts but I have not noticed it yet. It's intermittant as I've received many other emails correctly and ontime.
    Anyone else seeing something similar? I've never seen this with earlier versions of Mac OS X or on devices running iOS.
    This is a Macbook Air running Lion 10.7.1. I have 4 IMAP accounts set up. Mail is set to check for email once a minute and I have my IMAP accounts set to use the IDLE command.

    I have the same problem, some photos are not loaded completely and partly grey. This occurs only in Mail.app but not in the web interface of the email provider. Did you find a solution, Florian? Does somebody else have a suggestion?
    Greetings from Finland

  • Delayed email notifications

    I had previously posted about a long delay in receiving email notifications 34 hour lag between posting and mail which had been corrected, but is occurring again.  Currently, I am seeing about a 6 hour delay between posting and mail.

    "fixed" this by cancelling my email subscriptions and just using the activity page.  Works well and doesn't flood my inbox.

  • Message monitoring Status Waiting for email receiver

    Hi Guru,
    Scenario:  SAP ECC will call Error Handling interface class. The communication channel for the Error Handling interface is Email Adapter.
    Below is CC setting:
    Adapter Type: Mail  (Receiver)
    Transport Protocol: SMTP
    Message Protocol: XIALL
    Adapter Engine: Integration Server
    URL: smtp://11.11.11.111/
    Check - Configure User Authentication
    User : user1
    Password: password
    Mail Attributes:
      From: [email protected]
      To    : [email protected]
      Subject : test
      Content Encoding: base64
    I encountered one problem where my email receiver status in message monitoring is always 'Waiting'. I do not know what went wrong in the setting? Does anyone know how to solve my problem ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    XI tries 3 times before changing the status of the message to System Error. One can Manually resend the error messages by using the RESEND button in RWB. In scenarios where XI was trying to send the message to an end system that was down for maintenance, you would want XI to resubmit the message automatically without human intervention. What would be nice is to able to tune the retries like IS_Retry which is available for Integration engine.
    We can achieve this by changing the retry count used by the Adapter Engine, by default its set to 3 times, 5 minutes apart. This count can be changed in Visual Admin->server->services-> SAP XI Adapter: XI.
    Here  change the number Retries parameter from 3 to 10 and change the retry retryInterval to around 10minutes. For these configuration changes to be picked up, restart SAP XI Adapter: XI.

  • Email Receiver Error

    Hello everybody,

    this error is displayed in the RuntimeWorkbench, now everything seems OK in the configuration, any suggestions of what could be happening?, I mean I'm lost on what to look for in this kind of error, cause I've configured another channel like this before and worked really well, I'm sure on the SMTP server name in the configuration, any suggestions would be really appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Back up all data.
    Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
    from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
    From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
    The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
    If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
    If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

  • Email Receiver: how to get the names of stored attachments?

    Hi,
    I hate to spam this forum. But I'm in desperate need of the names of attachments, the email receiver QPAC receives.
    If I select a list variable for the email receiver to store all attachments received into, all filenames appear to be lost. Also the MIME-types appear to be lost. Which is not big a problem, since I may use javax.activation in order to identify the MIME-type of any fileinputstream. But sometimes, I am unable to correctly identify the MIME-type. Then I need to fall back on the file's original name.
    So the simple question is: how do I get the 'filename' attribute of org.idp.Document objects instantiated by email receiver QPAC?
    Did anyone ever do that?
    Regards,
    Steve

    Hi Diana,
    1) I used the XPath expression indicated in the screenshot below. It resulted in the process variable
    filename being
    NULL.
    2) I using the following Java-Code in a scripting QPAC:
    import java.util.ArrayList;
    import java.util.Iterator;
    import java.util.Set;
    ArrayList list = patExecContext.getProcessDataListValue("/process_data/attachments");
    System.out.println("[TEST] num attachments: "+ list.size());
    for (Iterator it = list.iterator(); it.hasNext(); ){
    com.adobe.idp.Document doc = (com.adobe.idp.Document)it.next();
    System.out.println("[TEST] attachment #1, filename: '"+ doc.getFile().getName() +"'");
           System.out.println("[TEST] attachment #1, filename-attribute: '"+ doc.getAttribute("wsfilename") +"'");
            System.out.println("[TEST] attachment #1, file size: '"+ doc.length() +"'");
           System.out.println("[TEST] attachment #1, content-type: "+ doc.getContentType());
      Set attributeList = doc.listAttributes();
    System.out.println("[TEST] num attributes: "+ attributeList.size());
      for (Iterator attributeIter = attributeList.iterator(); attributeIter.hasNext();){
      String attribute = (String)attributeIter.next();
      System.out.println("[TEST] attribute found: "+ attribute);
    Its output in the logfile was the following:
    [STDOUT] [TEST] num attachments: 1
    [STDOUT] [TEST] attachment #1, filename: '646834941068179579'
    [STDOUT] [TEST] attachment #1, filename-attribute: 'null'
    [STDOUT] [TEST] attachment #1, file size: '14624'
    [STDOUT] [TEST] attachment #1, content-type: null
    [STDOUT] [TEST] num attributes: 0
    Is there something I did wrong?
    Or is it even possible that the Email Receiver does not care about attributes of attachments?
    Regards,
    Steve
