How I can open iBooks and iTunes on my iPad after the update to os7?

Try closing Game Centre via the iPad's multitasking bar and see if it works when you re-open it :
iOS 7 : double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the Game Centre's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
iOS 6 and below : from the home screen (i.e. not with Game Centre 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Game Centre app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then you could try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Delete some stuff to make room on the device.

You can't have an iMac PPC (PowerPC) if you loaded Snow Leopard. iMac Intel are the only Macs that are compatible with 10.6. So the first thing wrong you are doing is posting in the wrong forum, or giving us misinformation.
Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to find out exactly what you are running. A G5 is a PowerPC. Intel is Intel.
Also look at the operating system in that window and update your profile.
What version of iTunes do you have?

New ITUNES Does not allow me to sync and wiped out song on my ipod video

I was prompted to update my ITUNES software (7.02 I believe). Once I did this, it told me that I needed to update my Quick Time Software, which I also did.
I did as I was told and took my IPOD Video out on my walk. It deleted every song on my out except for two. When I attempeted to re synch the IPOD it will not allow me to do it.
The playlists on the IPOD appear to be locked.

I am having the same problem. My library is not showing up on my computer but is on my phone. The only thing on my computer is the 3 songs I just bought. My message says that my Iphone is synced with another library. I do not want to lose the 100+ songs on my iphone. I do not see them anywhere on my Mac computer. Should I sync or will I lose all music?

ITunes does not allow updates to iPhone and iPad

I'm trying to update my devices to iOS 4.3.5. Update downloads okay. However when iTunes verifies the device a message indicates the device is not eligible for the update. This worked before I upgraded to Lion. Firewall has been checked, iTunes updated to latest version, 10.4 I think. I have uninstalled iTunes and carried out a re install twice, and the fault persists.

Ipod Classic does not show up in iTunes and will not sync

My ipod classic does not show up as a device in iTunes. It was working just a week or so ago, but each time I plug it in the screen says connected, then switches to Ejected, you can now disconnect, then says OK to disconnect and then goes to the home screen. Can someone advise me on what is going on and what I need to do to fix it! Thanks!!!

Firefox does not allow me to drag and drop files on FTP site anymore. It used to work before.

Hi. I have a Linux FTP server at a client's office. They used to use IE and I moved them to firefox. They could at one stage, drag and drop (upload) files and documents using only firefox and not a third party software. Somehow this stop working. Is there any setting in firefox that can be changed in order to allow drag and drop without using a third party software? This client is very fussy and does not want to use third party software, as the drag and drop worked before. This is their argument.

1- of course i know i have to accept the change, i just don't recall specifically whether or not iPhoto itself was one of the recent updates i accepted. lol
2-this is not true - a few years back, it was a 2 step process. Then it changed with one of the upgrades, and i have been able (as long as i selected 4x3 *book* as opposed to 4x3 *dvd*) to drag between orientations for the past few years - at LEAST 2 years, maybe as many as 4 (I lose track). I remember thinking at the time what a wonderful upgrade that was because it did away with all that needless clicking. I have been creating an annual 'family photo album' book via iPhoto for several years now, and i use the 4x3 book sizing specifically for that reason, so I've got lots of experience using this setting. I *know* it used to work the other way.

The password features does not work. Open TB, and I can read my email without using the password. Why?

I use a password for security. When I click onto TB, I do not have to use my password to read my emails or it will not download. I cannot figure out how to change my password. When I tried to set the master password,
it claims to have confirmed the new one. But I have to use the old password, or I do not have to use a password at all to read my email, if it downloads. This is after I uninstalled and installed TB 24.4 three times.
Now what, any ideas?

Here is my understanding: the master password secures your saved passwords. In other works, it unlocks your password to connect to the server to send and receive mail. It doesn't prevent people who have access to your computer from opening Thunderbird and seeing what's already there.

ICloud preferences do not load; mail does not exit ; safari does not exit;pages does not allow to open file from cloud

Since Mavericks I am experiencing problems most probably related to iCloud:
the iCloud preference pane takes minutes to open; mail tasks hang on iCloud mail account ; Pages hangs before displaying list of icloud files.
I have managed to stop the problems by disabling the iCloud keychain - so it may well be related to that.
Any similar experiences or even solutions ?

     Turn those off and relaunch Safari to test .

I am new to ipad. I have 3 e-mail accounts, mobile me, a rogers account (Canada) and a business e-mail account. Whenever I send from my Rogers account or my business account I get the message:

I was told there could be a problem with your Outgoing mail server settings and most likley have an Outgoing authentication error with your server. Make sure all your settings comply with your servers suggested settings for IMAP or POP3 etc. Usually located in options of the web version mail.
Most importantly make sure your username and passowrd are correct and added in the Outgoing Mail server settings

Others have commented on this too. It seems to be one of the 'improvements' of the newer version you are supposed to embrace with joy as an exciting new development. You can send feedback to Apple but realize you may be perceived as standing in the path of progress.
