OSB 11.1.1.3 version to OSB 11.1.1.4 version patching

Hi.
I’m a newbie to OSB and hence need your help to understand the OSB minor version patching.
Currently , I have OSB 11.1.1.3 version and want to change it to OSB 11.1.1.4 version.
Queries:
1.     Do I need to update the weblogic and coherence versions? If so how can I do that?
2.     How OSB minor and major versions updates done? By using optach or patch set installer?
3.     After upgrading the OSB and Weblogic binaries, do I need to recreate domain to use new binaries.
Please Suggest, It will be great helpful for me…
Thanks one and all!

The upgrade steps involved are described here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/doc.1111/e15032/toc.htm

    Hi,
For your version of SAP, you may need to have SAP IS-U LOCIN 100
    It is available at http://service.sap.com/swdc
select 'Search for all Categories' and put CIN in the search text and hit search , you should be able to get all kinds of existing CIN versions.

Leela KrishnaOpatch should be higher than OUI version.. Your OPatch is outdated that's why you are receiving the above error
you need to download the latest OPatch by searching http://support.oracle.com for 'How To Download And Install The Latest OPatch Version [ID 274526.1]'
After which you can start with the Patching of OBIEE.

5.6.3 is the major version, but you can patch up to get the latest functionality, e.g. 7352374 for bursting.
Search on BI Publisher in Patches on MOS.

  • Problems with older version of fglrx and fglrx kernel version patch

Hi I'm having problems making a package of an older version of FGLRX with the new 2.6.20 kernel update.  Reason why I want to use an older version is <a href = "http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=26888">here</a> (sadly, ATI hasn't fixed this issue).  It appears the newest patch can't find the appropriate source files to patch, I tried switching the names of the files to the ones writting in the previous patch, but that simply fails.
I have the old binary driver, the newest install file and the  newest patch file.  Here's what I'm getting when I run makepkg:
    [root@xenoarch fglrx]# makepkg

    Any ideas?

    this isn't a netbeans problem...
this rather seems to be a problem of packages that can be found or not found.
make sure you have all the correct jars/packages mounted..
    try to recompile it first!

  • Displaying Identity Manager version/patch level

A customer asked how he can tell what Identity Manager version/service pack upgrade he has.
I said use the command $WSHOME/bin/lh -version
Customer reports that that simply displayed the java version he has. Not useless but not what was expected.
So just how do I determine the IDM version?
It ought to be IDM5.0 SP5.

I try the Help tab on the Identity Manager main window
After clicking Contents and the About Identuty manager I am rewarded with an About Identity Manager dialog box in 2 languages!!
The problem is that it shows the version as v5 SP1
But I have not applied Service Pack 1. I installed v5.0 and then went directly to SP5.

  • Find Unity version/patch level.

New guy, old install.  I need to find the version that I'm running as well as where to find patches/updates.
I searched my brains out, but found only the upgrade guides and Windows patching Wizards.
    Thanks!

    Hi
It you don't know the product well enough to work out what version you are on, you probably shouldn't meddle?
The version you have is displayed on the admin interface when you log in.
You can download the server updates wizard that you've seen already to bring your MS patching up to date...

  • Version Patching?

I am using 10.1.0.2 on a w2003 server. This version seem to have a lot of bugs. What is the latest version available for w2003 - 10.1.0.4? Do I need to patch my current version to upgrade or I need to download the full program file in order to upgrade my version. If I need the full program, where do I get it? I know where to get the patches - metalink.

repca 10.1.2 (windows) cannt install repository into
database v10.1.0.3 ... it says "wrong version" ...
but is you install a repository from AS10g 10.1.2 kit
then database v10.1.3 is created ... what is it ?
does it mean any wrong configuration file in repca
    kit ?
any ideas ?in the file <home>\repca\config\prerequisitie.xml:
    10.1:0.4 => 10.1:0.3
    succesfull completition
    other solution:
you need copy repository database template from 10gAS kit then to add it to your database home then to create database with this template and register it with repca.

  • NW2004s ABAP Trial Version  - using 2 SAP-GUI'S

    hi there,
i just download the big files for nw2004s abap trial version. it includes sap gui 6.40, and i have the following problem:
we have sap r/3 4.6c now and on every client (also on mine) we have sap-gui 620 installed.
for 4.6c i still have to use sapgui 620 as i want to be on the same level then all the other users.
can i use BOTH sap-guis on ONE pc ?
    regards, Martin

I do understand, and my answer comes from my culture at my company. Sorry for that.  All of our users are on sapgui 6.20(not sure about patch level),  I always have the latest SAPgui version/patch level,  at this point 6.40 sp 22.  I have not seen a gui problem in some time with the users on 6.20, but when I did, you could usually tell that it is a gui problem by the behavior and/or ABAP short dump.
I understand your feeling about being on the same level of your users, so I won't suggest that you install the 6.40 version.  So, that said,  you will not be able to use the NW2004s system on your machine with your SAPgui 6.20 version.  And I believe that you can not have more than one instance of sapgui.  When you install sapgui 6.40 it will uninstall all previous version of the gui.

  • How to check  that same Oracle software versions(including patch versions)

How to check that same Oracle software versions(including patch versions) is installed on two hosts(machines) ?
    We are using following process:
    On Host A :
    1) Get the Oracle version using SQLPlus -v
From this output, extract the version number.
2)Find the patches installed using opatch lsinventory -detail
From the output , Extract the Patch numbers and Bugs fixed.
    3) Store the version , patch and bugs information in a common file.
    On Host B :
Repeat the steps 1 and 2 and compare with the values from Host A.
Please let us know if there is any other method to do this.
    Thanks.

This is wrong: for Oracle Database version 10.2.0.4 *4* identifies the patch set and does not give information about interim patchs.
It is correct to use opatch lsinventory to get interim patchs.

  • Patches esso LM and PG versions 10.1.4.1

    Hi
I have currently implemented Esso version 10.1.4.1 for about 6 months now. I have not applied any patches to the software as yet.
    1. Is the applying of the patches safe ???
    2. Have their been any problems after applying the patches ???
And could someone provide me with the patch number for the first patch for the Esso Provisioning Gateway 10.1.4.1 please as I couldn't find this on the knowledge base?
    Thanks

Minesh1. Patches are cumulative updates to the package. Usually, this does not require a re-install of the ESSO components, just application of a Patch file to update the files. Is it safe? Yes, the patches are tested pretty thoroughly prior to being released.
    2. As with all patches, the changes have the potential to cause issues, but in my experience, patching has not caused any serious errors moving forward.
For PG 10.1.4.1, try the following patch to get up to the latest version: Patch 9526209
Please note when upgrading your 10.1.4.1 ESSO-LM client, that you must first replace it with FP01 before upgrading to newer FP's, such as FP04. Here is the note from Patch 9309031
"If starting with LM version 10.1.4.1 then first apply the LM version 10.1.4.1 FP01 (patch 8641770)."
As always, its a good idea to read the readme for specific instructions on installing patches.

    Hi Annette,
For the SAP J2EE, do this:
    in QSH or QP2TERM
    cd /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/j2ee/os_libs
