OSB Install question on SOA 11g
Hello Experts,
I have installed SOA 111g and below is the environment:
Web Logic -- 10.3.6
SOA -- 11.1.1.6.0
AIA -- 11.1.1.6.0
Created Doiamns, configuration completed and users are testing it..
Forgot to install OSB and Oracle recommends that we install OSB first, before SOA.
Question
Is that ok to install OSB in the same location of SOA, at this point??
Thanks
Rgds
Natrajan
Natrajan,
It is just an recommendation or good approach to Install Osb first before we install Bpel.
But In case you have already installed SOA , you can go ahead and Install OSB . It should not matter to you.
Hoping that this is your local machine and I am pretty sure that It will work fine. Since my OSB is topped on SOA Suite.
Thanks
Tirumala Dixit.

Installation of OSB on top of SOA 11g
Hi Gurus/Experts,
I have installed Oracle SOA Suite 11g(11.1.1.5.0) in my system and working fine as of now.But now I want to install OSB on top of this, so can I install OSB or do I need to deinstall Oracle SOA Suite11g and then freshly install OSB first and then SOA Suite11g because as per the installation guide I have seen we need to install OSB first and after that SOA Suite.
Please advise me.
Thnaks,
SamratHi Samrat,
You can do it the other way around as well, even though OSB and then SOA Suiteis the preferred sequence. If you're not certain, you might wan't to put OSB in its own domain. For the rest, follow the installation instructions for OSB as provided by Oracle.

File Adapter Question in SOA 11g
Hello,
just started with this soa stuff and looks like it can be very useful, i have a question:
i am doing a SyncRead within a bpel process and want the file is not necessarily there as soon as that process runs, so if it doesnt find it i want it to wait 5 seconds and retry and i want it to retry this up to 3 times...
what is the best approach to getting this done?
thanksHi,
You can put the invoke(synchRead) within a scope activity. Now add a catchAll activity, and within it add wait activity(5 sec') and replay activity.
The replay activity will always start the scope from the begining.
You will also need to add an if condition with 3 times counter. 1 branch will go to the above activities, and the second one will continue with the process.

Some problems in finding answers of interview questions Oracle SOA 11g
hi
These questions were asked from me in an interview. could someone please help me to get the answers?
Q1: While using a file adapter if we have declared an elements schema length as 100 and file reading the file adapter that element contains 120 characters, then what will happen ? Is there any way to read that file?
Q2: In a BPEL process there is a partner link which is invoked more than once in this BPEL. While creating assertions in Test suit for this composite how we will write assertions for this partener link?
Q3: In a Flow activity if we have added 2 assign activities in each branch, then will we really have performance improvement as compared if we use them serially?
Q4: In OSB how to restrict the no of messages coming to Proxy service?
Q5: in OSB how to use dynamic URL of business service? (we will get to know the url at rum time or we have to create url at runtime)
Q6: While using fault policy framework if have set the retry count as 3. Now when the retry count is exhausted then how this fault will be clost.faulted or open.faulted?
Q7: can we have two service bindings in one composite if there is only one BPEL process in that composite?
Q8: Q: If we need to validate any message in OSB after pipeline stage according to its destination
thanks in advanceJohn

user10763276Thank you for the reply Anuj,
Now I am able to start the Managed weblogic server .
It is working well when i tried to do it through command window. But the issues is the node manager is not up.
I tried to run the fallowing commands
*1. Run setNMProps.cmd from $ORACLE_HOME/common/bin folder*
*2. Start the node manager from $WL_HOME/server/bin/startNodeManager.cmd*
When 1 is ran i have encountered the fallowing
C:\Oracle\Middleware\oracle_common\common\bin>setNMProps.cmd
C:\Oracle\Middleware\oracle_common\common\bin>ECHO OFF

Issues installing SOA 11G on Windows
I am having trouble installing SOA 11.1.1.6 on Windows 64 bit.
1. I installed RCU
2. I installed JDK 1.7.0.25 in C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0.25
3. I installed Web Logic Server and selected jdk from above path.(since while installing WLS i din't find JROCKIT, so I browsed for JDK from my C:Drive)
4. While installing SOA 11G, when I give setup -jreLoc C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25 I am getting Error "Java Run Time Environment was not found in C:\Program\bin\javaw.exe"
I have set JAVA_HOME in Environment Variables.
Can some one please help me fix this issue.Yes. I validated it. I tried with below 2 locations. I have installed this before in Windows and Linux. Strange that I am struggling to do it now..Not sure what I am missing.
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25\jre
C:\Program Files\Java\jre7
When I try with Quotes i.e, setup -jreLoc "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25\jre"I get a screen with Error:setup.exe has stopped working (below is the log)

Steps to follow for Installing Oracle SOA 11g in 64 bit Windows 7 machine
Hi,
I have successfully installed Oracle SOA 11g components in Windows 32 bit machine by following the downloading the installers for Windows 32 bit and following the steps mentioned in the Quick Start Guide for SOA Suite and BPM Suite.
Now I am trying to install Oracle SOA components in Windows 7 64 bit machine. Are the installation steps I followed for 32 bit is applicable for 64 bit too?Or are there any difference?
In the download section of installers,I could see one for 32 bit, linux and generic. Can you guide me which one I need to download for 64 bit machine?
Thanks in advance.I followed for 32 bit is applicable for 64 bit too?Or are there any difference?Steps followed for 32 bit installation would be same as for 64 bit. The only difference would be 64 bit JDK as it's required for win 7 to run the installation binaries of SOA Suite.
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-se-jdk-7-download-432154.html
I could see one for 32 bit, linux and generic. Can you guide me which one I need to download for 64 bit machine? You can use even 32 bit installer for 64 bit machine ( it works like charm for DEV like environment)...
but as per Oracle doc they prefer to use generic installer.

Is there any reason why Oracle no longer using "BPEL" name in SOA 11g neither in WLS console nor in OEM? but rather use composite or composer......
Thanks.Hi,
BPEL exists in 11g also. But the difference is that it doesn't exist as an independent entity. Its packaged inside a composite.Unlike 10g where you develop bpel sperately 11g has come up with SCA architecture where you package all you SOA components into your composite and deploy them as one application. The composite.xml forms the core here. -
Hi Gurus,
I have recently started working on SOA 11g and I tried to install it in my machine.. Everything got installed fine without an error.
Below are the component versions:
1. Database : 11.1.0.6.0

3. Weblogic Server : 10.3.2
4. SOA Suite : 11g
5. Jdeveloper : 11.1.2.0

How to use JKS-based Keystore in Oracle SOA 11g
I am trying to do FTPS on third party remote server(with UNIX OS) using SOA 11g FTP Adapter. I have Installed and Configured vsftpd and generated vsftpd.pem certificate file on remote server.
Followed the steps mentioned in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/integration.1111/e10231/adptr_file.htm#CIABDGCF
In one of the step "Setting Up the Oracle FTP Adapter" walletLocation is required, then I went through steps mentioned in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/core.1111/e10105/wallets.htm#CHDGIJDC
Tried to use both 1) JKS Keystore Management 2) Wallet Management
But unable to find both of them in em of Oracle SOA 11g as the steps are not matching.
Can anyone tell me how to use JKS Keystore Management or Wallet Management ?
Many Thanks!!
Regards
YogeshHi Yogesh,
I believe the wallet can be created from the FMW console only if the HTTP server is installed and available. If there is no Oracle HTTP server, please configure one as given under.

Get Realm form Jdeveloper using Soa 11g PS3
Hi
I've a problem with jdeveloper authentication with a Oracle SOA 11g PS3.
I've successfully installed the DemoSeed Community into the server, i've checked into "secutiry realm->myrealm->users and groups" and i found all the seed users.
During the developing of a simple BPM composite with a Human Task, i try to edit the Roles tab into the Organization function and ad a new role "Productor" but when i've tried to associate Members to this new role jdeveloper does not show any realm or any user form the "Identity Lookup" pop-up window.
I've checked the server log and found an exception referenced to this case, the exception was:

I've configured 2 different application server connection, one to the admin server and one to the managed server, but both of them gave me that error.
During my searches for an answer i've found a Oracle Documentation PDF which reports a SOAP endpoint for this IdentityService (the url of the soap endpoint is http://hostname:port/integration/services/IdentityService/configuration?WSDL ) but when i invoked it using the IdentityConfigServicePort and the operation "getConfiguration" i got this error:
<env:Fault xmlns:owspe="http://schemas.oracle.com/ws/policy-enforcement-2007-06">
<faultcode>owspe:PolicyAccess</faultcode>
<faultstring>PolicySet Invalid: WSM-06102 PolicyReference The policy referenced by URI "oracle/no_authentication_service_policy" could not be retrieved. </faultstring>
<faultactor/>
</env:Fault>
I've searched this policy all over the web but i wasn't able to find any clue to solve my problem
Thanks in advice
StefanoHi Stefano,
Is this an upgraded instance of PS3?
I'd check the installation steps again. See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/doc.1111/e16793/patch_set_installer.htm
Specifically:
3.8.5.3 Run soa-upgrade.py to Update the Policy Store and Deploy a Shared Library
3.8.9 Adding New OWSM Pre-Defined Policies

Get Realm Jdeveloper Soa 11g PS3

<Feb 22, 2011 11:55:07 AM CET> <Error> <oracle.webservices.service>
<OWS-04115> <An error occurred for port: {http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/services/IdentityService}IdentityConfigServicePort:
oracle.fabric.common.PolicyEnforcementException: PolicySet Invalid: WSM-06102 PolicyReference The policy referenced by URI
"oracle/no_authentication_service_policy" could not be retrieved. .>
<env:Fault xmlns:owspe="http://schemas.oracle.com/ws/policy-enforcement-2007-06">
<faultcode>owspe:PolicyAccess</faultcode>
<faultstring>PolicySet Invalid: WSM-06102 PolicyReference The policy referenced by URI "oracle/no_authentication_service_policy" could not be retrieved. </faultstring>
<faultactor/>
</env:Fault>
I've searched this policy all over the web but i wasn't able to find any clue to solve my problem
Thanks in advice
