OSDResults does not show unsuccessful domain join
Hi,
is it possible to have unsuccessful domain join info (as it is on MDT lite touch deployments on Final Summary window), when using MDT 2012 integrated SCCM 2012 task sequence with UDI?
The question was not why the domain join was failing. It's about that Deployment summary window generated by MDT component OSDresults.exe does not show any warning/error message when it fails. In pure MDT deployments a warrning message is displayed
(in deployment summary window), but it's not, when using MDT integrated SCCM task sequence.

Wlst command listWebServices() does not show all web services in the domain
Hi, I am trying to use wlst command listWebServices() to display all web services of a domain. It seems that it only displays the web services of enterprice applications (ear apps), but it does not show the web services of web applications (war apps). If I pass ear appliication name and one of its web module to listWebServices, it will show the web services that belong to the web module of this application. However if I pass war application name and its web module name to listWebServices, it will return "Unable to find the SOA Composite or Service. Oracle UCM Native Web Services", although I can see from wls admin console or em that this web application does have a couple of web services.
I also tried to call listWebServicePolicies, again it returned "Unable to find any Web Services with the specified Application".
My purpose of doing above is to use wlst to detach/attach web service policies for some web services. Since I cannot find the web services, I off course cannot detach/attach policies.
Does anyone have any clue how to find web services using wlst command that belong to a war application, and then detach/attach policies ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jian Huang
From Oracle fusion HCMAs of UCM version 11.1.1.6, Oracle UCM Web Services are managed from Enterprise Manager in Fusion Middleware Control, not Weblogic Admin Console!
A document at Oracle support explains this in more detail: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/ui/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?id=1456506.1 :
Setting up GenericSoapService in WLS to use WS-Security:
Go to FMW Enterprise Manager. http://wlshost:7001/em
In the tree, navigate to Weblogic Domain -> <Domain Name> -> and click on UCM_server1. (If the managed server for WCC is named something other than UCM_server1, click on that name.)
From the UCM_server1 drop down menu, select "Web Services".
On the "Oracle Infrastructure Web Services" tab, click the GenericSoapPort link.
Once there you can set the policies you want and restart the server!

Dynamic Portal Page does not show but called procedure behind it works
Hi I run into a bug that I try to solve unsuccessfully for 2,3 weeks. Here is the problem. I have portal dynamic page that execute a PL/SQL procedure to delete and insert data into a remote app table. When I compile and execute the procedure in Toad it does not give me any error or warning. But when I execute this procedure in my dynamic page the page does not show up but I check the results and data does delete and insert. So my procedure works behind the scene but the page does not display. As I look into detail of my code I found out that when I rem out the insert statement my page does show up and delete the data but when I put back the insert statement my page does not show up and data insert to the table. Here is my code structure of my procedure in plain words. I have a procedure that have a cursor for loop that
check if a certain condition exists if it is then it will delete data from the remote app table then insert a select statement data from 2 joins tables. Any one have run into similar situations like this and have any idea, please help. Thank you all.The scripts for this should have shown as:

Sync tests completed successfully.I have found a fix after doing additional research through this forum. Tech Note #328730 addresses this problem and it works for Photoshop Album 3.2 even though it was written for release 1.0.
Here is a link that will take you directly to the Tech Note:
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=328730
When using this fix the Tech Note indicates:
"Imported image data and tags are lost when you re-create the My Catalog.psa file, so you need to reimport images and reapply any tags"
however it did retain the captions (at least it did for me). -

Why when i buy books on my ipad, when i log onto the store it does not show that i have purchased them?
how many books and songs were therefore lost when i had to wipe my ipad?
this is SHOCKING from Apple... this is not in my domain of settings!!!In the iBooks application on the Mac, there is a checkbox to sync highlights and notes across devices.
I don't see a similar setting in the iBooks app on my iPad. It may require iBooks on the Mac as a mediator.
Also:
Can I highlight text and make notes?
Yes, iBooks includes built-in Highlight and Note features. Highlight any word or passage of text within a book. You can also create a Note from your highlighted selection. Review your Highlights and Notes by tapping the Table of Contents button and then tapping Bookmarks. Highlights and Notes appear in their own section under Bookmarks. -
Enterprise subordinate CA does not show up in certificate authorities list
After much discussion I decided the best approach was to clean eveything up and start over. I went through the KB on decommissioning an enterprise CA and Subordinate CA, install a new standalone root, and a new enterprise subordinate CA. Everything appeared
to be working with one exception. The new Enterprise Subordinate does not show up in the Certificate Authorities section of Public key services in AD Sites&Services. It does show up in AIA, CDP and Enrollment services. The standalone root is trusted and
I set up group policy with the certificate of the Enterprise Subordinate as a trusted intermediate. The templates were configured also as well as autoenrollment for computers but so far only the DCs and my workstation has received certificates. I am sure I
am missing something but after 100s of pages and artcle after article I don't see it. I ran the certutil -viewstore query and it doesn't see it either and it doesn't tell me how to fix it. Also, what is the deal with case; it seems no matter how careful I
was with upper and lower case letter AD did what it wanted and my published CA name looks like I can't figure out hows caps lock works.
Thanks in advance
[email protected]yes, it is possible. However, you will need to make some modifications on root CA:
certutil -setreg ca\dsconfig "AD Configuration naming context"
certutil -setreg ca\dsconfigdn "AD Configuration naming context"
certutil -setreg ca\dsdomaindn "AD Forest root domain DN"
AD configuration naming context is (usually) CN=Configuration, DC=rootdomainname, DC=domainsuffix.
To extend Root CA CRL validity, in the Certification Authority MMC, select properties of Revoked Certificates folder and specify validity period (something about 6-12 months). Make sure that Delta CRLs are NOT enabled. Save settings and restart certificate
services.
Then you should republish all CRLs and publish CRL to Active Directory:
certutil -dspublish -f path\RootCAcrl.crl

Server 2008 R2 does not show Internet Explorer 10/11 Group Policy options
Hello,
I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 server that has IE11 installed. I am attempting to create a GPO to control Proxy settings for IE10/11 clients, however, when I go to User Config>Preferences> Control Panel Settings> Internet Settings and Right click,
I do not see an option for IE10, only IE5 and 6, IE7, and IE8.
I have downloaded and installed the Administrative Templates for Internet Explorer from
here, and followed the installation instructions, but still, the option does not show up. I have ensured that all the latest Windows Updates are installed on the server, and rebooted
the server a couple times.
What am I missing here?

This setting determines whether the Properties menu item is enabled, and thus, whether the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box is available to users.
If you enable this setting (and enable the "Enable Network Connections settings for Administrators" setting), the Properties menu items are disabled for all users, and users cannot open the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box.
Important: If the "Enable Network Connections settings for Administrators" is disabled or not configured, this setting will not apply to administrators on post-Windows 2000 computers.
If you disable this setting or do not configure it, a Properties menu item appears when users right-click the icon representing a LAN connection. Also, when users select the connection, Properties is enabled on the File menu.
Note: This setting takes precedence over settings that manipulate the availability of features inside the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box. If this setting is enabled, nothing within the properties dialog box for a LAN connection is available to

PROTECT DOES NOT SHOW CONTACTS IN BACKED UP DATA; 8530
Hello, when I attempted to restore my data from Blackberry Protect I do not see CONTACTS in the list of data that has been backed upand available to be restored.
I checked the under OPTIONS in the app menu to verify that I had selected contacts and as I thought "All Supported Data", which includes Contacs is chosen.
When I look on the website, it does NOT show contacts in the restore area.
Whats going on?
Equipment = 8530/Sprint/OS v5.x

My fcp purchase does not show up as a purchased app
I purchased FCP X on my laptop and I want to download it to my desktop. I was thinking that this was ok license wise but I do not see it in my purchased apps page?
I downloaded a trial thinking I would enter the serial# but I can not find this either.
Please help if you can
HenryI have the same problem and I can tell you straight up, there is absolutely no way I purchased this under a different apple ID. I purchased it in July 2012, and my previous ID was a work e-mail address that was inactive and changed since early 2010. I joined the oh so fruitful Mobile Me program and have had the same me.com address and ID since then. Since my purchase I have always updated FCP X from the App Store under the same login, the only one I have had for almost 4 years.
But something is definitely up. Like the above, I have no hidden apps to click on any account page. When I go to July '12 in Purchase history, it does not show up. (Purchase history btw is incredibly sluggish to navigate pages and browe, for no good reason I can think of. Really bad.)
I'm wondering if this has to do with 10.1 being out and my not having Maverick. I'm trying to reinstall to 10.0.9 but they seem to have made that process as obscured and byzantine as possible.
I wouldn't put it past Apple to have somehow placed my FCPX purchase under some remnant of my old account & ID. Apple had somehow created two accounts for me when I was simply trying to change my old one. The ordeal to straighten it out was ridiculous; I went through all bloody heck trying to get everything switched over to my new ID, and logins for certain iTunes related things were still accessible only under a by-then defunct email address ID - meaning I couldn't change anything with this account. Even more of a delightful surprise, I couldn't have anything changed for those account settings, because it requred an Email confirmation - and I couldn't enter my current E-mail address because "another account already has that address." Yes, idiots, my account has it. Hair pulling stuff.
Anyway, back to present issue, I uninstalled my FCPx before finding it was not listed amongst my purchases - again, as it used to be with everything else there now. Foolish perhaps, except probably not because performance issues were making it unusable and I had tried just about everything else possible including the full array of Pro Maintenance Tools and Onyx procedures.
So I used Time Machine to grab an old copy. Clicking it seems to have reinstalled it, but there was no re-installl wizard or anything, so I'm wondering if it means I have everything I need?
Also wondering how to get Final Cut back in my purchases where I can update in the future.
Thanks Apple. Another job so well done, I'm practically burnt to a crisp. -
Entry in contact list does not show up when you try to edit the list in v4
When clicking the "To" box for a new message I have as the last entry a name in bold that is not something I recognize and when going into my contact list so as to remove it, it does NOT show up.
How do I get rid of it? IE: find it so as to delete it. Search in windows 7 does not locate the file. Below is header when asking for source.

//If you created a new AppleID with the new email address, then that is exactly what will happen. Purchases are permanently tied to the AppleID you used when buying them. Anything tied to an old(er) AppleID is forever tied to it and you need that older AppleID's password to update those apps.
Your only option is to buy those apps again, paying a second time, to get them under your new AppleID.
For future reference, if you just wish to change the primary email you are using for your AppleID, you should log in to the "Mange your AppleID" section at https://appleid.apple.com and just edit the primary email address for your existing AppleID. -
How to install software that does not show in add\remove?
I have a agent that i need to install on all our computers but the program does not show in add\remove when installed correctly.
It does however have a service that runs and some processes that run.
Can someone tell me what the best way of installing this is?
Should I create a collection based of the Service\Process or even based of the file sitting in C:\Program Files.
I wanted to create a collection of computers that had the software already then create another collection that had all computers with it missing and create a advertisement from this..
I am just not sure how to do this one when it does not show in add\removePlease create the new SCCM query based collection for computers which have required software installed. We can create this collection based on service.
For example :Below SCCM query will add the computers which firewall service is in disabled mode.
select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_SERVICE on SMS_G_System_SERVICE.ResourceId =
SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_SERVICE.Name like "MpsSvc" and SMS_G_System_SERVICE.StartMode like "Disabled"
Create another collection for computers which have software not installed and add the below query for the collection. Replace the "CollectionID" with collectionID of first collection.
select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System where ResourceID not in (select ResourceID from SMS_FullCollectionMembership
where CollectionID = "CollectionID") -
Windows 7 32 bit computer does not show in network neighborhood
If I go to Windows Explorer only certain computers will show (both Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit computers) under network. Why would
another computer not be showing.
The computer is on Windows Server 2008 domain.
If I a computers that does not show and open Network and Sharing Center, Change advanced sharing settings, I see Turn on network discovery and Turn on file and printer sharing are checked. After upgrading all the computers on a small LAN (about 10 workstations) I found that only a few of the workstations would show up in network neighborhood. This was a using a clean install of Windows7Pro on all the computers. After a great
deal of checking settings and verifying that the really could be accessed by mapping a drive to a known computer name and share such as:
\\SERVER1\data, but unable to see the computers in network neighborhood, out of frustration I changed the workgroup name from the default WORKGROUP to WORKGROUP1 and like magic the network neighborhood became populated.
I saw hints about this in several other forums, but nothing on Microsoft, so wanted to pass it along that this really works. OTH, I have other workgroups that work just fine with the default WORKGROUP name,
So, after changing all the computers in the workgroup over to WORKGROUP1 all became visible and my problem was solved. Oh and this was just a typical TCP/IP network with a Dynex router providing dhcp services and internet access. Absolutely plain
vanilla, no 3rd party firewalls, just the default tcp/ip network settings that are pretty much installed automatically when installing W7Pro. And all the computers were set up as WORK networks with Network Discovery and sharing enabled. I verified
again by changing some back to WORKGROUP that when I did so those computers were no longer visible on the network.
Hope this helps someone else.

Safari does not show correct page
A friend of mine uses Safari, but it does not show the correct page. He tries to view http://www.ventanasalmar.biz. This is hosted as one of my 10 domains on my acount with a hosting company. He is for some reason redirected to my default account. When he uses Firefos from the same location, everything is OK. As I do not have the same program (Safari) myself, I cannot test. My friend is in the US, I am in Norway, so I cannot just pop over
Any suggestion about what could be wrong?
Windows XPaskim --
Welcome to Apple Discussions !
I tried on my Safari, and also on another browswer, Shiira.
Your site works great on both.
Your friend probably needs some housecleaning of his safari caches, etc.
Ask him to do these and try again:
1. Empty your cache & History settings via the Safari menu
2. Trash your Icons Folder:
HD>Users>Home>YourName>Library>Safari -->Icons
Restart Safari and a new folder will be automatically regenerated.
(This folder saves favicons of all the sites you visit. Needs cleaning periodically -- or you can change that file's preferences to "Read Only"
rather than "Read & Write." This will keep it from growing in size.)
3. Launch Font Book and check all fonts for duplicates. A duplicated font will have a bullet beside the font family and you can resolve duplicates by selecting the font and at the menu bar, go to Edit > Resolve Duplicates.
Do this for each font with a bullet next to it.
If he's still having problems:
4. Shut down your computer . . . unplug the computer, modem, and router, if you have one. Let everything sit for 2-3 minutes. Plug everything back in, start up your modem & router first, let the lights set up right, and then restart your computer.
Hope this helps -
View does not show column type
I have two views containing a column, which is defined exactly in the same way. One view shows the column type as VARCHAR2 (200 CHAR) and the other does not show anything as the type.
Here is the screen shot:

First question: why is there a difference?
Second question: why is the type VARCHAR2 although the modeler does not know VARCHAR2 but only VARCHAR as a column type?

Edited by: 931739 on 09.05.2012 06:37I just found out that the engineered version (10g) is also quite strange:
http://public.ceving.de/2012050900/postaladdress_10g.png
It shows the values in the columns for the types.
This looks very buggy.
Is it not recommended to create views with the data modeler?
