my noetbook wont start windows, and gives this message when i turn it on-
OSEHQ is compressed
Press ctrl+alt+del to restart
The last thing I remember doing was compressing my C drive to save some disk space.
please HELP!

OK Now I can answer my own question. The incomprehensible (inexcusably geeky) error message is actually Apple language for saying simply: "The iCloud servers are down again. Please wait until we've fixed them." I found this out by talking to Apple support. It took about 12 hours for the iCloud server synching calendars to come back online. When they did, my calendar reloaded, and everything was fine.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Twitter loads, but won't update and gives Twitter error message, but only in Firefox.

I just installed my operating system (Ubuntu Linux 12.04, KDE desktop) three days ago, and installed Firefox yesterday. When I go to my Twitter feed, I get a bar at the top of the page saying "Sorry! We did something wrong. Please refresh the page and try again." Refreshing doesn't change anything. At the same time, my feed won't update, and scrolling down the page doesn't bring bring up more tweets, just an error message saying:
Loading Tweets seems to be taking a while.
Twitter may be over capacity or experiencing a momentary hiccup. Try again or visit Twitter Status for more information.
This does not happen in Chrome or Rekonq. I've checked all my add-ons, cleared my history, cache and cookies. I don't know what else to do. Help?

What worked for me was to delete all cookies in Firefox, and then log in again to Twitter. Options > Privacy > clear you recent history. Ask it to clear everything and untick all but cookies.

There have been a few posts about this today, it appears to be due to problems with the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_Name_System DNS servers] that you are using either not directing to or blocking Google.
You can change the DNS servers from those that your ISP uses to one of the free DNS servers. One option is to use the OpenDNS servers, for details see http://www.opendns.com/
Another DNS service you can try is the Google Public DNS servers which are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Sql@loader-704 and ORA-12154: error messages when trying to load data with SQL Loader

I have a data base with two tables that is used by Apex 4.2. One table has 800,000 records . The other has 7 million records
The client recently upgraded from Apex 3.2 to Apex 4.2 . We exported/imported the data to the new location with no problems
The source of the data is an old mainframe system; I needed to make changes to the source data and then load the tables.
The first time I loaded the data i did it from a command line with SQL loader
Now when I try to load the data I get this message:
sql@loader-704 Internal error: ulconnect OCISERVERATTACH
ORA-12154: tns:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
I've searched for postings on these error message and they all seem to say that SQL Ldr can't find my TNSNAMES file.
I am able to connect and load data with SQL Developer; so SQL developer is able to find the TNSNAMES file
However SQL Developer will not let me load a file this big
I have also tried to load the file within Apex (SQL Workshop/ Utilities) but again, the file is too big.
So it seems like SQL Loader is the only option
I did find one post online that said to set an environment variable with the path to the TNSNAMES file, but that didn't work..
Not sure what else to try or where to look

You must have more than one tnsnames file or multiple installations of oracle. What i suggest you do (as I'm sure will be mentioned in ed's link that you were already pointed at) is the following (* i assume you are on windows?)
open a command prompt
set TNS_ADMIN=PATH_TO_DIRECTOT_THAT_CONTAINS_CORRECT_TNSNAMES_FILE (i.e. something like set TNS_ADMIN=c:\oracle\network\admin)
This will tell oracle use the config files you find here and no others
then try sqlldr user/pass@db (in the same dos window)
see if that connects and let us know.

I have bought online books and I am unable to read them unless this is installed.

Most likely you have to adjust WHENEVER SQLERROR and (or) WHENEVER OSERROR settings.
Consider an example below:

HPG62-373DX Notebook won't load Windows 7 after RAM upgrade

Hi there. I recently upgraded the RAM in my mother's laptop from the OEM 3GB that was factory installed to a pair of 4GB Crucial sticks that were recommended by both HP and Crucial as optimal upgrades for this model. After installation, the unit will not boot into Windows; instead it loops the Windows System Repair message, but will not load any Windows files and simply continually reboots. If I go into the BIOS, the motherboard is seeing 8GB active, and both sticks pass the memory test with no problems--so the hardware is ok, but the OS isn't properly recognizing the memory.
Any ideas? I'd love any input on this issue. I reinstalled the original OEM RAM, and the system boots as normal. After doing that, I went into the support center and made sure the BIOS is updated to the latest version (it is), so I'm not really sure what might be keeping the operating system from recognizing this memory.

Since the update my itunes won't load all i get are error messages

reinstalling doesn't work neither does fixing missing components

ITUNES WON'T OPEN AND GIVES AN ERROR MESSAGE HELP

my iTunes won't open, and instead pops up a window saying:
"The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occured (-200)."
Something similar to this is happening with my mac DVD player. When I try to open that, it won't open and says:
"There was an initialization error. The audio output device could not be found. Please make sure speakers or an appropriate output device is connected. [-70027]"
doesn't come in to handy when you are about to watch a new episode of Lost .
anyway, I saw the speaker thing and went online. Any sound online (music, popups) can all make sounds - so my computer isnt permanetly muted. I've also restarted my computer, done the system updates, and gone into system prefereces to mess around with the volume. The computer recognizes the internal speakers. HELP!

Here are the steps that should help:
1. Close all applications.
2. Go into the Finder>Home>Library>Preferences
3. Delete 'com.apple.iDVD.plist' and 'com.apple.iTunes.plist'
4. Restart Immediatley.

Firefox just stopped working! It opens but wont load any sites and gives no error messages. internet working as using safari now.

Was in the UK yesterday and Firefox was working no problem. Arrived back in Denmark today and FF has stopped working. Mac was closed down for the flight over. Firefox opens and does nothing.. when I click on a bookmark the address bar stays empty and the little search icon continues to rotate. Reset firefox and still get the same problem. I am using the same internet connection I used before going away! Please help!
