OSM orders getting stuck at particular task

Hi,
I am facing problem with OSM cartridges . Orders are getting stuck at particular task. I can see in OMS web client that particular task is still in Accepted state whereas it should have gone to completed state and proceeded to next task. I can also not see any error messages in logs.
How to troubleshoot this problem?
OSM version :
Build: 7.0.3.906

Can you please provide answers to below questions:-
1. Have you customized the cartridge?
2. What is the name of the task?
3. What is the activity tied to that particular task? Like some plugin or something.

hi,
while trying to place my first order for a book, I get the message above, with the message that the book order is still being sent to the publisher.
during the book submission, I went through what appeared to be a re-registration (although, using the same details, the right information seemed to be picked up in later stages of the process.)
I am using Aperture 3 on Lion (10.7.1)
oddly, I can't get into my 'order status' part of the Account part of the Apple store either.
i'm not sure if something is incomplete, or what!
anyone have any ideas, or has experienced this in the past?

It seems that closing the application gives you the opportunity to cancel an 'in progress' book submission - the only way that I have come across.
Going in again and re-submitting has *thus far* done what is expected - I am now waiting for my confirmation email.
The address change screens are a bit of a mess, but that should not really make a huge difference if you are not having to change addresses - tabbing around the fields makes some sense of it. (apple, you may well want to fix this - contact me if screen shots would help)

Pro cc gets stuck and stops responding constantly

For some reason my Premiere Pro CC will constantly get stuck performing a task, often incredibly simple ones, never complete it or even start it and then when I right click on it it says it's stopped responding and I have to close program and often restart teh computer and then whatever the task was works perfectly. This happens when adding a new file to the mediaborwser or when rendering something simple very very often. any thoughts?

Firefox won't start. Everytime I end the process/close the last window, it keeps getting stuck at about 2500k memory in the task manager. The only way I have to fix it is to change some kind of compability settings or try and access it in a new way, and every time it crashes/closed/computer blue screens that setting will no longer work.
That is a short term solution, but eventually I'll run out of ways to access firefox successfully. I've tried many solutions, and some worked, but only once. I have yet to find a permanent solution for this problem.

Why am I getting different values based on order of input when the task type remains the same?

I'm having a hard time understanding the results I'm getting when I input task information. Here are the scenarios with different, unlinked fixed work tasks:
I estimate a task will take 2 hrs to complete and put this into work. If I add 1 resource, work = 2 hrs, duration = 1 day?, Resource A = 25%
On the same task, if I add Resource B (along with keeping A), duration = 0.2 days, Resource A remains 25% and Resource B = 100% (no % shown)
If I try the same scenario (adding first resource, then adding a second) on another task, occasionally it will give a duration of 0.91 days??? What the hell is that about?
If I add 2 hrs for work then add both Resource A and Resource B at the same time I get duration = 0.5 days, Resource A = 25% and Resource B = 100%. Why is it giving a duration of 0.5 days and why does it not adjust the unit % for Resource B?
This one is really blowing my mind. If I don't add work but instead add both resources at the same time first it's either making work 8.2 hrs OR 16 hours! I've gotten this result on the same exact task doing the same exact input. How can this differ?!
No work input, both resources added initially and IF I get the correct 16 hours with 1 day duration, then I go ahead and change work to 2 hours, which produce Resource A & B = 100% and duration = 0.13 days.
This last scenario is the duration result I want to see so the resources can work on multiple tasks in 1 day, but I typically try to input the work or duration estimates into the schedule and then resources last. I also don't understand how there can be
such a wide range of results based on such similar scenarios. Also, having to do it this way creates another step since I have to go back and change the work...although I guess I would be doing that if I input estimates first.
Can anyone explain why I'm getting those very head scratching differences, as well as provide some insight into how you initially develop a schedule (order of inputs)? I'm wondering if this has something to do with the change in 2010 regarding resources
that I still don't understand?

Thank you Julie for the quick reply. As indicated in the first part of my question all these scenarios are dealing with Fixed Work, so yes by default they are effort driven. I should have clarified on the 1st scenario the question mark was just to show duration
had not changed, I wasn't actually questioning why it hadn't changed. Scenario 1 worked as expected. Although I don't fully agree with it, Scenario 2 also worked as expected.
Scenario 3: Yes it is effort driven (fixed work). Resources are just test/fake resources so all information, including calendars, is default. This is one of those cases where I can produce that unusual result only on occasion, not everytime.
4. In my scenario it's fixed work, but I do get the same result as you with fixed unit. Question still remains in both cases of why is the duration 0.5 days on 2 hours total work? Also, why are both units 25% in fixed units, but in fixed work Resource A
is 25% and Resource B is 100% when in both cases they are working 1 hour? Lastly, if Units is going to be changed in this case then why isn't it 13% (1/8 hours)?
5. This is also fixed work and I'm not touching duration in any of the scenarios. Day is still default at 8 hours. I was assigning resources via Resource Names on the Gantt View. I'm thinking this had to be some sort of glitch because I can't consistently
produce the 8.2 hours result, but it happened multiple times.
I also follow the same steps you do, other than I guess the last one. When you say you enter work estimates while assigning does that mean you do that in the split pane/task details form? I've typically done it from the Gantt View, but that seems to be what's
causing my issue because when I tried doing it from task details it is giving me the duration I want. So thank you for that. I still don't understand why there is such a wide range of results, but at least it makes more sense to me that 100% Unit working on
a task duration of 0.13 days is 1 hour.

LOL... this is what I just had to look up... it's not exactly clear or apparent, is it?
When in Full screen mode.. just press Command-F. Voila!

Compressor gets stuck and task bar doesn't progress at all

I have set the settings I want compressor to do but, it gets stuck from after I press submit. Task bar doesn't "progress" and, all the jobs are in "waiting"
Any ideas Anyone ?

I had a similar problem and Digital Rebellion's Compressor repair did not help but their FCS uninstaller did.
You will need all of your FCS discs because there are many shared elements related to Compressor and Q Master. It took a few hours but after I did this Compressor was back to normal.

Job its getting stuck on SIL_PurchaserOrderCostFact_Full

Hi Gurus,
I am running a DAC a job after rebuilding a new env but the Job takes an Hour in prodn env but now taking almost 2 hours in the new env. After investigation, the issue is the Job its getting stuck on SIL_PurchaserOrderCostFact_Full for almost an hour but in prod it complete in 2minutes or less. The job ends up completing in 2 hours.
I applied the following patches EBF189068, EBF191169 and patch 10052370

There is another log file for Informatica that will give you detailed information on the issue. You should be looking into that log file.

UCCX (7.0) Servers gets stuck

We have UCCX 7.0 in HA mode, one of the server (Primary or Secondary) gets stuck and we have to hard reboot the system and then it comes back to naormal. During this phase CRS administration page on that particular server does not open and even we can't access that particular server through remote desktop. What could be possible reason for this issue.

As already mentioned that during this state the machine is no more accessilbe through remote desktop and if by any chance we get into it through remote desktop then the response of this machine is so slow that we can't open anything even task manager.
During this state I have checked on 2nd node through UCCX admin; all the services on the problematic machine were up. Last time when we had this issue on Primary node; i uploaded a prompt through UCCX admin on 2nd node and IVR was not playing that prompt. I did a hard reset of Primary node then IVR started playing that particular prompt; it looks like that replication between servers also stops during this state.
Could you identify the location of MCVD\MIVR logs; may be we can find something in these logs.

Slideshow Module: Slideshow getting stuck, won't auto-advance

We use Lightroom 4.3 in our studio to show our work to clients. One of our slideshows is based on a smart collection of all 5-star rated images. Before a client comes in, we'll click on the smart collection to load the images, go to the Slideshow module and use a preset we've created that has our desired background color, fade time, etc. and hit "play".
Recently this particular combination is not working properly. After a random number of images, the slideshow simply stops advancing and appears to be "stuck". If I hit the right arrow key on the keyboard to advance to the next image, nothing happens. However, if I hit the right arrow key twice, skipping the next image and going to a second image, the slideshow will continue. It will then get stuck again after a few slides. The only thing that I can figure is that by hitting the arrow key twice, I'm skipping a "bad" image that doesn't want to load. I can't tell what image that might be. The images that are held up on the screen seem to be different each time, because we are playing the slides in a random order.
Is there a way that I can figure out if there are some kind of "problem" images that cause the slideshow to hang? Has anyone else had this problem? Or does anyone have a different theory (other than the "bad" image theory) of what might be going on here?
Updating from 4.2 to 4.3 did not solve the problem.
Optimizing the catalog did not solve the problem.
Using a different slideshow preset does not solve the problem.
Using a different set of images DOES prevent the problem from occurring, but of course, I need to show these images. (Ex: a different smart collection that doesn't contain all the same images.)

No error message. Slideshow simply gets stuck.
No recent changes to computer or software that I am aware of.
I just had a thought. I am going to go play the slides NOT in random order and see if I can find any pattern. In the meantime, any help is greatly appreciated.

Okay, I answered my own question. My thought about unchecking "Random Order" and then playing the slides quickly showed me the problem files. There were a handful of files that had a black circle with an exclamation point in them. This circle was where the question mark normally goes if LR can't find a file. When I clicked on the exclamation point, it said LR could not access the file, or something like that. I simply changed the rating on those images from 5 stars down to 4, which effectively removed them from my smart collection without having to delete them from my catalog. At some point, I'll go back and figure out what the problem was with those files, but at least my slideshow is back up and running!
The funny thing is that I've been google searching this problem for weeks with no results. Then I finally post in the forum and while typing the question, I figure out my own answer. Go figure. But I thought I'd post this up in case someone else has this issue, because there's NOTHING about this anywhere else I could find. :-)

Rebel T2i Gets Stuck in "BUSY" Mode After Recording a Video

Hey! I've been recording video on my T2i for a while but suddenly, after recording a video, the camera would freeze in busy mode and then eventually shut off. I made a video explaing what is happening:

The camera powering off on you is the firmware crashing.
The on/off switch is really just a "software" switch. It does not actually deprive power. This is sort of like a TV and remote control... in that when you "turn off" a TV it's not *really* off... the screen is off and it's gone to 'sleep' but some part of it is technically 'on' and monitoring for a signal from your remote control. The same is true of the camera and the power swtich... it's actually in a kind of extended 'sleep' mode.
When you open the battery door (or even eject the battery) there's a micro-switch that cuts off power. That actually DOES turn the camera off (really 'off' because the camera has been deprived of all electricity.) Inserting the battery and closing the door causes the camera to 'boot' fresh again... so the power switch (and everything else) will actually be monitored and respond as intended.
So what's wrong? PROBABLY the memory card. In nearly all of these cases with the stuck 'busy' problem it means the camera is trying to write your video clip to the card and for whatever reason it is not successful.
I did notice you're using a SanDisk Ultra card (good). How old is the card?
A few tips:
ALWAYS format the card IN CAMERA (if you formatted a card while it was in your computer, then re-format it using the camera and pick the "low level" checkbox when you format it.)
I do suggest you perform a new in-camera format and make sure you check the "low level" option.
Memory cards do not last forever. It's also possible you've got a dud (nothing is 100%). The process of "writing" to a memory card is technically physically destructive (just a tiny bit) to the card. Reading is non-destructive... you can 'read' from a card millions of times and never wear it out, but each time you 'write' to the card and change the charge state in a memory location you will have ever-so-slightly caused 'wear' to that location. The card will eventually fail (all cards will). But for most cards you'll get something like 100,000 writes before it becomes a problem (years of heavy use). BUT... if you got unlucky and had a weak card, your card may be showing early signs of failure. It happens.
I ALWAYS suggest you own more than one card (I have lots of them) and test with a different card. If this is the only card you own, then you need to buy another card anyway because you never want to be caught without a spare card on-hand for just such an emergency.
Next... there are forgery cards on the market and some of them are amazingly good forgeries. What separates your really nice SanDisk Ultra card from all the non-name unlabled "junk" grade cards ... is that your card has a really nice sticker on it. It's not too difficult for a counterfeiter to print up a pretty convincing looking sticker. I and several others here will tell you that it's not just enough that you bought a top-name memory card... you ALSO need to buy that card from a known reputable dealer to make sure you're not buying a forgery card. Stated differently... I am unwilling to buy a memory card from a merchant I've never heard of before because they sell the same card I can get from a well-known merchant for $5 less. Screw the $5... I want "known" quanity and that's worth far more than $5 to me.
This is not to say that YOUR specific card is a forgery... even SanDisk will just occasionally ship out a card that passed they're quality test after being manufactured... but just barely. You get it and start using it heavily and the next thing you know it's showing signs of failure.
Could it be your camera? Sure... it's just unlikely.
Occam's Razor (a well-established guideline for critical thinking using the scientific method) states that among competing hypotheses, whichever one requires the fewest assumptions should be selected.
In your case the competing hypotheses are:
1) The camera is failing: Except that the camera doesn't fail at any other task... just this one particular task. That's a bit difficult to explain.
2) The memory card is failing: We've actually got well-established and well-understood failure of memory cards (a memory technology which will by it's very design WILL eventually fail.) We don't need to apply many assumptions here.
As I mentioned above... you need another memory card anyway (every camera owner should have at least 2). You may as well just start with that.

Disk utilities gets stuck at 50 percent when erasing drive

I was supposed to format this for a friend but when I was formatting the drive with disk utility, it would get stuck at partitioning 50% and stay there.
Specs:

You can copy & remove data from Terminal in Recovery mode but frankly I'd use that as a last resort.
The safest option (make a bootable backup)…
In Recovery mode, Disk Utility.
Select the restore tab for the Macintosh HD, 'restore' that to a new disk.
Next best option (make a 'restorable' disk image)
In Recovery mode, Disk Utility.
Select 'File > New image > New image from Folder…'
Select the base of Macintosh HD as the folder
Save that as a compressed disk image on another disk.
You will have a clone of the entire disk inside disk image.
You can also use the second method to make a disk image of particular folders.
I'm not sure if this helps, but it sounds like you may be on the road with limited options?
You could contemplate installing OS X to the 150GB (assuming it is empty). Then you could boot from that if you need to get work done for a few days untill you are able to reinstall the internal disk.
Do you have any other user accounts? There are ways to create them, perhaps it is just your user data that is in a mess? Ask if you want info on that.

Photoshop CC Toolbar buttons sticking.. getting stuck on single click

Toolbar buttons get stuck in dropdown menu with single click... it's extremely irritating especially being in photoshop all day. I have to click the intended tool button twice in order to get rid of the drop down menu options. I realize it should do this when I double click or hold down click.. but not when I simply want to select a tool with a single click. I've tried everything. Please help!

Try resetting the tools:
Also try changing the mouse settings such as double click speed..

Text won't stop deleting, delete key appears to get "stuck"

Sorry if this is in the wrong topic, I have never used the support forums for any of the multitude of problems I have had with my Mac, but this one is severe and odd enough that I couldn't even find anyone else discussing it (although I'm sure someone is, but I tried many search key combinations on Google and only found unrelated things), so I decided to at least get it documented.
I have had an issue that has happened at least 3 times I can remember (I am fairly certain it has happened more, closer to 7-8, those are just the times I am 100% confident about), although very spaced apart and infrequent, where my delete/backspace key seems to get "stuck". However, at least one time I can verify that I never even hit the key. Whatever text I currently have open immediately starts deleting at lightspeed, and I can do nothing to stop it. None of the other keys on my keyboard work, and though my mouse works, if I click somewhere else, it starts deleting the text there. When I force it to go to another window where there isn't an open text box, I get the general Mac error sound, and it repeats non-stop, and faster than I've ever heard it. I have to do a hard shut-down, although once it led to a kernal panic. When I have stopped whatever is happening before it panics though, when I restart, I don't receive any kind of error message, nor the message about OS X not having been shut down properly.
Every single time it has happened when I was typing something that couldn't be saved, like a message on a forum, a private message on a site or an IM chat window. Sometimes I lost a half hour's worth of work or more.
The first time it happened, I honestly thought someone had managed to hack into my computer, but another time I was using a physical modem and Airport was turned off, and when I ripped out the cord, it didn't stop.
I have a MacBook Pro from 2007, running the most recent version of Tiger. I haven't had the money to upgrade. All security updates are up-to-date, with one exception: I have not upgraded to the most recent version of iTunes.
Honestly, I currently am having and have been having a bunch of other severe issues with my Mac, so troubleshooting will be quite difficult as it's not at all impossible it's a result of one of my other problems. I also currently am dealing with some health problems that make me unable to try to find the root of the problem, specifically I have a problem with my hand and wrist that makes typing very difficult.
If someone does recognize this issue and already knows why it might be happening, I'd appreciate the help. I'd also appreciate anyone letting me know how I can prevent it OR what to do when it begins and how to stop it. But I probably will be unable to go through a typical troubleshooting rundown.
As I said, I just wanted this documented, and I also would like to know if anyone else has had this problem. I have never experienced an issue like this with any of my past computers, including Macs and PCs. I do know however that the key is NOT physically getting stuck - as in getting lodged down and continuing to be pressed. There is at least 1 time I can verify I never even hit the key (I wasn't typing anything at the time). I am fairly sure the problem is entirely unrelated to the actual delete key itself.
I'll describe the symptoms one more time:
At a random time, with no discernible warning, text contained in whatever text box I have open begins deleting itself. Several paragraphs disappear in a matter of seconds.
Pressing escape or any other key on the keyboard does nothing. If I click to another area in the text, it will immediately begin deleting wherever I have placed the cursor. If I go to another window with text that can be edited, it begins deleting there. It does not delete in more than one place simultaneously.
If I bring another window without any kind of "deletable" text to the front, one of the general Mac error sounds (I'm not sure which one it is) starts happening and repeats without stopping at a rate that could induce a seizure. To stop it all, the only thing I have found can be done is a hard shut-down. Another time it continued to end in a kernal panic. I wish I had the details of the error, but it was so long ago and I have no idea which panic is the right one in the logs.
I have no way of knowing what programs were running at the time, as obviously that's not something I'm able to pay attention to when it happens, and it has happened so randomly and infrequently it's nothing I've been able to document. Since I have to restart to make it stop, I've then lost that info and I have no time to try to write it down or something beforehand.
I have not had any similar issues that I know of (for instance, for the "g" key keeps repeating and won't stop typing "g's") and I've never experienced this on any past computer.

If you aren't able to offer advice but have had this issue yourself, PLEASE let me know. I can't seem to find anyone who has experienced this particular problem.

Okay, I guess I misunderstood, although I am still confused. You're saying that since the other user did an extensive clean of their keyboard and this did not solve the problem, it is "most likely" a hardware problem, correct? Wouldn't a thorough cleaning without any results show that it's probably not physically related to the keyboard?

Well, I had just said in my most recent post that it has now happened with other keys, and in my initial post that it happened at times when my hands were nowhere near the keyboard. It is not a defective delete key and the cover is not making the keys stick - it doesn't adhere to them and does not have any sticky substance on it of any kind. I am an experienced computer user, and I know my computer very well. While I am not a psychic that can always know what is causing a problem, I am able to discern with much accuracy what is NOT causing it.
Also, I have significant health issues so getting to an Apple store would be a huge challenge for me. And although I have AppleCare any repairs won't be free. Due to some small physical damage my laptop obtained a few years ago, I have been completely refused almost all service that I paid over $300 for, even though the damage is completely superficial. After fighting this, I was told they WOULD repair my computer, however, they would also repair the physical damage despite my insisting NOT to; I had no choice in the matter and the cost would be a minimum of $1,500 (I also would not be informed the exact price until after and my credit card would be charged without my knowledge - I had to give them my credit card number and sign away their right to make any charges and when I requested being contacted before they charged me for the repairs I didn't want done, I was told they did not do that). My family is struggling to pay for my $5 medications.
When my logic board died (that same issue that affected thousands of computer users), I had to print out Apple's report from their site, which stated that they would replace and repair them free of charge to ANY Mac owner with a computer that met certain qualifications (which mine did). When it happened, completely out of nowhere, I knew immediately that was the problem, yet still had to go through the insulting and idiotic "Is your computer plugged in?" list of things and a customer WITH AppleCare was being refused a service they'd offered to people WITHOUT AppleCare, for a known manufacturing defect that has occurred widely in nearly every brand of computer made.
