http://max.adobe.com/online/session/332
OSMF is an open source ActionScript 3 framework for building video and media players supporting cutting edge Flash Platform features for media delivery.  If you have any curiosity about media players in Flash or Flex, this is a great forum for exploring and getting questions answered.
If you have an ongoing interest in this area, please join this group by logging in at groups.adobe.com/groups/7af970e6e4 and selecting the "JOIN THIS GROUP" link (red graphic on right side).
This online-only OSMF User Group meets regularly at this time and day of every month.  That is the 3rd Wednesday of every month @ 12:00 NOON PST time.  All meetings are recorded.  Links for prior meeting recordings are on the group site in various places including on the group home page under the heading "Previous Connect Sessions".
Following are a few time zone conversions:
London:  8:00 PM to 9:30 PM GMT
Rome/Paris/Berlin:  9:00 PM to 10:30 PM CET
New York:  3:00 PM to 4:30 PM EST
Los Angeles:  12:00 NOON to 1:30 PM PST
Sydney:  7:00 AM to 8:30 AM EDT ** THURSDAY January 21 **

The presentation by Will Law was recorded and can be viewed online, on-demand from the following link:
http://experts.na3.acrobat.com/p47054887/
Will's presentation is an excellent introduction to HTTP Dynamic Streaming.
This presentation is a supersized version of a presentation that Will also will be delivering at Adobe MAX 2010.  MAX session description here:
http://bit.ly/bh77Gz
Supersized in that in the recording above Will spent a bit more time in ActionScript for the OSMF developers in attendance than he will with more general audiences.  Plus supersized in that Will took 1 hour 15 minutes (plus 15 minutes more on Q&A), whereas MAX sessions are 60 minutes, less a few minutes for the Q&A.,

I can't say enough good things about Redmatica, and Andrea in particular.
I've found and reported a handful of issues I found in Keymap, and in each case I had the issue confirmed, and a new build sent to me at most within a couple of days, often much sooner, with the issue fixed. If only Apple were more like that...
Keymap is a stunning piece of software that, in conjunction with Logic (or other soft samplers) make creating sampled instrument content (almost) a pleasure.
Have a good one - do you video these sessions for people who can't attend..?

us in on the details? How many people attended, what was the
format, how was it organized, the dos and don'ts..

    Hi Mike,
Re: the Adobe Developer Days - your message indicates this is about the "LiveCycle set of capabilities", yet I'm confused by the description on http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/events/index.html which states:
"This all day developer event will feature tips on developing with PDF as well as advanced JavaScripting techniques for Acrobat developers."
In my mind there is a big difference between an Acrobat developer vs. a LiveCycle (Desiger, Forms, Reader Extensions, etc.) developer. I wouldn't wnat to attend an Adobe Developer Day, expect to learn how to develop LiveCycle Designer forms and discover that the day focusses on Acrobat forms. Which is it?
Sometimes I find the flipping between "Acrobat" developers and "LiveCycle" developers on Adobe.com to be confusing; as I said in my mind, these are two different beasts (as has been stated several times in this forum, and has been the source for much confusion between "veteran" users of Acrobat Professional forms who are using LiveCycle Designer for the first time).
Perhaps you shed some light on this for me.

  • Announcement - UK Oracle User Group Meeting 09-Sep-2004

The UK Oracle User Group Development Engineering Special Interest Group which covers the Forms and JDeveloper Tools will be holding one of it's regular meetings in Oracle's Reading Offices (UK) on the 9th September 2004. For details see http://www.ukoug.org/calendar/show_event.jsp?id=436.

    I agree.
What's needed is at least 5 years of ongoing active Support (including emerging new Platform Versions).
If Sun/Oracle expects their clients to migrate to a new product, they should provide detailed migration information and usable migration tools (covering existing Components and Plans, inheritance, Dependencies and installation history data) to protect the substantial investments existing clients have made in the N1SPS framework.
Of particular interest for my client are the virtual host concept and modeling of dependencies over multiple hosts for application server (Oracle WebLogic) clusters.
I'm not sure if Sun/Oracle did fully understand the potential of N1SPS - especially for managing (their own) Middleware products - when they decided to EOL N1SPS.
