Osmf strobemediaplaybackair(mobile) XML format to import video

I have downloaded the osmf trunk and import the strobemediaplayair in my flash builder. The xml file given in that is not a valid. I did not know much about XML. Please give me the format of xml used in the strobemediaplaybackair.   I have tried some xml but I think i am missing something.

I'm guessing this is P2 footage, because you mention P2CMS.
What you are doing is all wrong. Sorry to be blunt, but there are specific workflows for Panasonic P2, and what you are doing isn't it.
XML files are for sequences and projects.
Here is the proper P2 workflow: P2 Workflow with FCP 6

  • Best format for Importing video?

    When I create a new event in Imovie and import video it will give me two options, "Large 960x540" (which says it will "reduce image size with little quality loss") or "Full" (which says "selecting full on this computer may result in degraged video playback").
    Here is my dilemma.
    I would think Full would give me the best image quality when I create a "project" and export it.  So I tested it.  I imported the same 15 sec clip with both options.  The clips were shot from my Iphone 4s.  I put both clips in the same "project". So my project is 15 seconds of "Full" video followed by 15 seconds of the same footage in "large" format.  I "finalized" the project and then exported it to my desktop.  I actually did it two ways, one was at 720p and one was at 1080p.
    When I watch the video, it actually looks like the second half of the "project" is slightly crisper/clearer which is the part of the "project" that came from the "Large" import not the "Full" import.
    Is that possible or are my eyes playing tricks on me?  I am viewing it with QTplayer and utilizing my full screen of my computer which is a 13" MBP.  Should the section of the video from the "Large" import look better than the "full" or vice versa?
    Thanks,
    Ehren

    QuickTimeKirk,
    We posted our responses about the same time.
    I agree with what you're saying but he did ask for the best possible quality.
    I imagine with all the reencoding between the formats the video isn't going to look that great.
    As a side note, given the above scenario I've seen better quality video acquired, when the DVD Players output is connected straight to a mini DV camcorder and imported into iMovie.
    That's just my experience when converting video of questionable quality to begin with.
    I don't know how important it is to get the best quality but, there is a program called Cinematize that guarantes no loss in quality during the conversion process (never used it though).

  • Format to import video into Flash

    Since video exported from Flash will be compressed, what is
    the best
    format and compression type to apply to video being brought
    into Flash
    so it is not overly compressed after being exported from
    Flash as Flash
    Video?
    Thanks.

    > 1. What is the best video file format to import into

    Any *uncompressed* format that is at the resolution and
    framerate you wish
    to display within Flash.
    > 2. What are the best setting for compressing the video
    from within Flash
    to

    Well, the higher the bandwidth profile, the less the
    compression, so the
    less degradation in video quality...

  • What is the most plain xml format to import clips and sequence into Premiere ?

    I want to create xml includes sequence and clips to import Premeire.
    In this case, I have a reference xml that is exported from premiere for finalcut pro. But this finalcut pro export format looks so complicated because has alot of property  that is belong to premiere pro. I tested by deleting some of them from xml and imported again, didn't effected anything.
    Here is the question, How can I create an xml which requires minimum property details for premiere sequence and clips ? Is there any reference better than FinalCut Pro export xml format ?

    Bruce from adobe replied that FCP Format is the best to import Premiere.
    So I read FCP Format Documentation from http://documentation.apple.com/en/finalcutpro/usermanual/index.html#chapter=97%26section=3 %26tasks=true

  • Please recommend digital format for importing video into iMovie.

    I have iMovie '09 and am considering a purchase of a new digital camcorder. I want to easily inport video into IMovie for editing and burning DVD's for use on our home player and for importing into Facebook, email, etc. Can you recommend the best digital format for me? Also, if you have any recommended camcorders I would appreciate that too. I'm looking for something portable with High Def and either a hard drive or flash drive memory component (or both-hybrid).

    I would suggest that you pick something from[this list|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3290]

    Hi Gabriele,
    The issue is that the ReadXml method takes an index parameter which is the number of the object that you want to read from the XML data. In your code you are specifying index 0 which is the first product tree in your file so when you call the Update method this is the only record that will be updated. It is not possible to do a mass update using the DI API in this way, you must always load each object separately. You can use the GetXMLelementCount method of the Company object to find out how many product tree objects are in your file and then use the ReadXML method to load each one by incrementing the index parameter in a loop.
    Kind Regards,
    Owen

  • Hi, I have problem with importing MOV files from SJCAM 4000. MOV files are in supported formats for Adobe Premiere Elements 11. But if I'm importing MOV file, only audio part is imported, video part is not imported. How can I solve this problem?

    Hi, I have problem with importing MOV files from SJCAM 4000. MOV files are in supported formats for Adobe Premiere Elements 11. But if I'm importing MOV file, only audio part is imported, video part is not imported. How can I solve this problem?

    haben
    From looking at the specifications of your camera (SJCam 4000), we know already what video compression your camera is using. It is H.264.
    A H.264.mov file should be supported by Premiere Elements 11. On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 11 running?
    Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer? And, are you running QuickTime and Premiere Elements 11 from a
    User Account with administrative privileges? Please go to Premiere Elements 11 Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime to confirm that you find
    presets there for the QuickTime choice there.
    What are the properties of these H.264.mov files - is it 1080p30 (1920 x 1080p30)  or something else? Do you know if this camera is recording with a variable or
    a constant frame rate?
    Please review and consider and then we will decide what next.
    Thank you.

  • What is the best video format for importing into After Effects CS5

    Please look at this video, work in progress.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49_wbdKALQk
    The opening, featuring a ribbon of videos, was created in After Effects, using Digieffects Freeform.
    The  issue is the poor quality of the videos that are featured in the  opening -- compared to the higher quality of videos from the original Premiere  project., which you can see at the end of the clip.
    To create the After Effects project, I exported a series of video clips from Premiere  to mp4.
    Then I imported them into AfterEffects.
    The bottom line, and the purpose of this question, is I am thinking that  MP4 was not the best choice for the Adobe Premiere export.
    What  is the best format to export video from in Premiere Pro CS5 to import  into after effects, or to import into any other editing program,  incuding importing right back into Adobe Premiere, if that is eever  needed.
    AVI?
    MOV
    MP4
    And any other settings that will result with the highest qualiity videos for importing.
    Thanks

    To follow on with Wade's suggestion...
    There are lots of ways to get movies and projects and other things back and forth between After Effects and Premiere Pro. This page outlines them:
    "Working with Premiere Pro and After Effects"
    If you must render and export a movie out of one application to bring it into another, there is a very basic piece of video workflow advice that you need to keep in mind (which applies to _all_ video software, not just After Effects and Premiere Pro):
    If you're creating a movie to be used in the next step of a post-production pipeline, you _never_ want to use a format that does lossy compression. You either use no compression or (preferable) lossless compression. Examples of codecs that provide lossless compression are the Animation codec and PNG codec at the highest quality settings; these can be used in a QuickTime container, for example. Never compress a movie with lossy compression except at the very end of your pipeline, when you're creating the final movie for distribution.
    MP4 (MPEG-4) is a lossy codec. The quality loss is acceptable for the last stage in the pipeline, but it's not acceptable for an intermediate file.
    It seems that you would benefit from reading this and and working your way through this.

  • Unwanted Default Formatting with import XML

    I have a problem of unwanted default formatting with import XML. Under InDesign CS6, I  import XML with merge mode.
    One frame is difficult to apply with the placeholder, I should put the XML element A inside by hand. InDesign automatically applies the character style of the child element B to the following text in element A.
    I tried the steps of this article http://indesignsecrets.com/fixing-unwanted-default-formatting.php/comment-page-1#comment-5 62875
    But it doesn't work for me.
    Dose anyone have an idea? Thanks.

    Kasyan, I agree with you!
    So this is what i did in xslt.
    First I added the following namespace to the stylesheet.
    xmlns:file="http://www.jclark.com/xt/java/java.io.File"
    This is not supported by indesign, you have to do this with a parser. I used saxon to parse the xml.
    And this is the part for the existing file lookup.
    If the file exists the image is placed as a href, if it doesn't exist i put the name of the image between brackets. In this case we can see in which image doesn't exist.
    <xsl:choose>
         <xsl:when test="file:exists(file:new(string($imagefile)))">
              <xsl:element name="Articleimage">
                   <xsl:attribute name="href">file://../images/<xsl:value-of select="Properties/Property[@field = 9]"/></xsl:attribute>
              </xsl:element>
          </xsl:when>
          <xsl:otherwise>
              <xsl:text>[</xsl:text><xsl:value-of select="Properties/Property[@field = 9]"/><xsl:text>]</xsl:text>
          </xsl:otherwise>
    </xsl:choose>
    I hope it helps for others.
    Good luck!

  • Trying to import video but getting "file is unrecognized format" - please help!

    Hey,
    I tried importing videos to my iPhoto '11 library that were taken on a Samsung WB600 digital camera. The files are .MP4 extension but I keep getting an error saying that the file is unreadable and that it is an unrecognized format. I tried changing to various other extensions, such as .mpeg; .mpg and .avi. Each time I keep getting the same message, but the strange thing is that one video captured on the camera from the same import group made it in to the library without any problems. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Mo

    Hi Mo
    The file within that import group, that worked, did that file also have an .mp4 extension? Also, just changing the file extension doesn't work, you need to convert it using a video conversion software.
    It worked very well on iPhoto 09 and iPhoto 11 before the latest upgrade on Nov/2011.
    The original videos that I have imported are still working, but right now if I try to import new movie files (mp4) recorded from my camera, it is not recognized as a valid file, although Quicktime plays it perfectly.

  • What is THE best video file format to import into Premiere Pro CS6?

    What is THE best video file format to import into Premiere Pro CS6? I am tired of the guess work of "this might work if you do this." Just tell me which is, flat out, the easiest for Premiere to read?? I generally animate in Adobe Flash, and some times with a Live camera. Premiere seems to pick and choose which video file it wants. I import from the File drop down box in the upper left hand corner, then move the video file to timeline. Under the "scrubber" there is a thin red, (or when rendered) a green line. The videos I put in the timeline show a thin yellow line which means Premiere is confused. So, in basic terms, which video format is MOST commonly accepted with the least amount of trouble/hassle?

    Premiere has a function now where you can import a clip and drag onto a timeline and it will prompt you with a message about changing the timeline settings to match your clip, (or if there is no timeline it will automatically create one that matches your clip.) This is in CC of course so you might consider upgrading. They have fixed a lot of compatibility issues from CS6 to now. If you don't want to get all of CC for 60/month then you can at least shell out 20/month on premiere. It's worth it. They've made it where you don't have to worry about 99% of all video formats. They just work.

  • I recently reinstalled Snow leapod on my mac because I was having problems. I backed up everything onto disks, but after formatting, i quickly realized that some files did not transfer. I am missing some very important video footage. Please help me!

    I recently re-installed Snow leapod onto my macbook. Previously the system was running snow, I believe I may have visited a corrupt website or something. Anyhow, I backed up all of my information onto disks before reformatting, and the format went well. However, I realized after the fact that some important video footage did not transfer to my DVD-R's that I saved my data too. Is there any possible way I could recover this information? I'm trying to recovery software I found recomended online, but im not sure what the outcome of it will be. I know things are not looking good, but was hoping someone could please help me.

    Also, as for what I did. I put the OS disk into my computer, restarted it and ran through the screens to completely reinstall the OS. Then, I had to install my Snow Leapord CD because my origional OS was not the newer SL. Its my own fault, I just didnt think of every file off the top of my head before startign the process. I assumed everything was on the backup disks I had just burned.

  • Importing video with sound to GarageBand 2.0 and iOS 7.0.4

    Importing video with sound to GarageBand 2.0 and iOS 7.0.4
    My daughter has an iPad 2 with GarageBand 2.0 and iOS 7.0.4.  She would like to import a video file which has a sound track on it to GarageBand for iPad so that she can add an additional sound track to it.  The video/audio file to be imported would be in AVI, MPEG2 or another iPad compatible format.  Is this possible? If so, how would the mechanics work?  Would you: (1) load the file into the Movies section of iTunes and import the file from the Movies section of iTunes; (2) save the file onto an SD card and import the video/audio file from the SD card by inserting the SD card into an "SD adaptor" on an "iPad Camera Connection Kit"; or (3) email the video file to yourself and upload it to GarageBand from email?

    This is part of a mobile training application and I allow the learner to record an audio response in addition to viewing the videos.  When they record a response, you can hear the playback so the device has its volume up and working when the app is running.  Since I posted this issue, I switched to .flv video and that plays ok.  It's apparently the .mp4 video that's a problem.  I'm encoding it with ffmpeg and suspect that it's something with the settings.   Do you have a recommendation for mp4 settings for OSMF?
