OSS - access key

Hi there,
I'm new in ABAP.
I did install the SAP NetWeaver 702e 64bits on Windows 7 Pro 64.
The instalation was successfully, but when i'm going to create a "Hello World" program on SE80 (with the user BCUSER), appears a dialog asking for an Access Key (that could be generated at OSS).
I want to know where i can generate this code.

If you open the start.htm page located on your SAP NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP installation directory and go to the Section "Installation/ Uninstallation" > "Login via SAP GUI", you'll see the information below (probably you'll have tu use the "Next" icon at the bottom of the page).
BCUSER in Client 001 is preshipped with password: abcd1234. Change with Transaction SU01. If not you have to create your development user: BCUSER. Purpose of the BCUSER is to develop applications and maintain the system. If you create or modify SAP objects within the customer namespace (starting with Y or Z), you need to enter the developer key for this user: 29671482393151224771 (Remark: valid after you installed the licensekey. If your system type is "initial" enter: 07222097363139263004). Enter when prompted. (Remark: This is not an access keys to modify SAP objects. Custom development namespace is Z* or Y*).

Asking for Access Key & register in OSS

Hi All,
Can anybody tell me that, while i am tring to create Generic datasource for Transaction data in BI 7, it is asking me <b>Access Key</b> and Register in <b>OSS</b>
What would be the reason for this...

The reason is you are developing new content within the SAP system, it requires an Access Key, you need to request this from your Basis team and you enter the code into Object you want to create and you will gain access and be able to create.

Oss problem for getting Access Key

      I have installed mini SAP . my license was expired that i have renewed... Now I have logged on using   uname = bcuser .
       The problem is-- when I creating any program using se38, I am getting a pop up screen titled "Add Developer".
In that screen, asking for Access Key.. Also , You are not registered as Developer. Please register in the OSS.In OSS you will get Access Key..
      I tried lot , but unable to solve it.. Please give me the detailed solution for this..

The developer key is a combination of you installation number, your license key (that you get from http://service.sap.com/licensekey) and the user name
Object Access key - This key will be available in service.sap.com and is for modifying the standard SAP Objects

Hi,
There is no need to pay for developer key or object access key. You can get them from service market place under Keys & Request tab and SSCR. You need to have a valid S-User with proper authorization to generate the keys. Below is the link for the same where select the Keys & Request and under that SSCR Keys. Then from there you can generate Developer and object access keys.

How to get access key while creating database view in R3

Hi all experts,
I am new to SAP so please forgive my ignorance.
From R3, I am trying to create a new database view named ZVENDOR_ATTR which will be based on LFM1.
When i go to SE11 -> chose view and click create then it shows a pop up window that says "you are not registered as a developer. Please register in the Online Service System (OSS). In the OSS you will receive an access key."
I don't know how can i get the access key and proceed now. Please note that i have installed this BW3.5 and R3 on my laptop. From the default user ddic, i have copied and created a new user 'sapuser1'. I am now using the sapuser1 to logon and attempting to create the above mentioned Database view. It seems like this sapuser1 as it is copied from ddic is not a developer.
So anybody can please help how to create/get this access key to proceed further.
I will give full points. Please help.

Does it mean that i can not create any database object without the access key from service.sap.com? As i told that i installed this BW3.5 / R3 on my laptop to train myself but i don't have an account on service.sap.com.
However i can login to R3 system as admin (i have access to the system using ddic or spcpic). Is there a way that a new user with deveoper role can be created by the admin without going to service.sap.com.

How to find repairs done ( through access key) in SAP ECC 6.0 system

I have to find the Repairs ( ie standard code is edited with access key ) done in my SAP ECC 6.0 system. I want to find out the repairs which was done my some developer using the access key and also want to segregate the ones which were done through the OSS notes and support packages. Is there any table or report i can use in the sytem to view this details. Please let know at the earliest.

Proxy creation/ access key in the how to guide "push data into BW from XI"

I'm experiencing troubles with a step of the how to guide "push Data into BW from XI".
When i want to create the proxy in the BW system (step 10), i'm asked for an access key for the object R3TR CLAS CL_<name of the prefix>_<name of message interface>
I think that access keys are needed when an object has to be modified. Do I really have to modify this SAP object ? I don't really feel like destroying the whole system...

Hi Benjamin,
you are not destroying anything in the system. Since you generating a class for the implementation of the proxy within the SAP name space, you are asked for the access key (you can register developers and objects via the OSS).
The system behavior depends on the setting of the system, whether changes are are recorded, etc..
Ask your basis administrator, who should be able to assist you.

I went into my "SAP online services" account, but I can't find where I'll
find the acess key for the specific object I'm trying to modify.
Can someone help me, please?

You may be needing to enter your developer's key.
You must be a registered developer on your system to do this type of work.
Your system administrator will have to register you thru OSS, and you will be given a key.
The first time you try to edit an object, you can enter this, and you won't see that prompt again.
After that, if you are trying to change an SAP object, you will need to register that as described above.

Getting the Object Access key

This weird question,
But does any one know how to get the object access key for Standard SAP object is changed..
Normally when we try to do any modification on Standard SaP object it asks for and access key.. We need to enter it once, after which the object is open for editing.
I have an SAP object which as been modified .
I want to know that number?? Is it possible..

Hi Samir,
You have to contact SAP Support to obtain the access key for a Standard SAP Object. The correct channel for that is the OSS, where yo can raise a message requesting the same.
But you are saying that there's one object that has already been modified. Who has done the modification ? When they have done it, they must have specified the access key. If you want to modify the same object, then the best thing for you to do is to contact the person who has changed it.
By the way, have the modifications been done using the Modififcation Assistant?

BCUSER Register Access Key

This post concerns a SAP Netweaver 7.02 SP06 64-bit trial version.
I made license renewal successfully.
Now, when I would like to change an ABAP object, system ask me an access key for BCUSER.
It worked before renewal. I thought BCUSER does not need to be registered in trial version.

I had a big problem.
Yesterday, my license SAP Trial will expiration in 3 day.
Then I installed the first license of ABAP Trial after the 90 days trials
All worked fine.
But when I loged with BCUSER, a windows asked "You are not registered as developer. Please register in the Online Service System (OSS). In the OSS you will receive an access key."
I looked for in Internet during 1 day, but I've found YOUR SOLUTION this morning.

Hi,
If you have OSS ID, you can use it to logon to service.sap.com where you have all kinds of support and help services available. That is where you use it.
ABAP workbench will be accessible if you have authorization. I think you mean to say you are not able to create/change objects. For this you will have to register your userid as developer (again at service.sap.com) and that will give you the developer access key that you can then use.
If you are changing any SAP object, you will need to get the corresponding key from OSS.
If you do not have OSS logon, then you can forget about it (well, not strictly so, but that is the official 'truth'.).

OSS is not a tcode , check the site service.sap.com
consult your basis for that...
also check the table DEVACCESS for the access key by giving ur user id if there is one already created for u
