OSS messages in Transaction Monitor

Hey all,
I saw at the Solution Manager Seminar that it is possible to bring OSS messgaes created in the Service Market place into the Transaction Monitor in Solution Manager. Anyone know the config or background job for this?
regards,
Jason

Thanks Raquel,
I read through note 781163.
https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/781163
Which variant do you recommend?
'All systems' or
'X all systems (without SAPNet R/3 Front End)', or
'W Workplace'?

Jason

    Hi Ankita,
Try to trace at ICM level, Go to smicm transaction
    Set level to 3.
Later send your request. Finally trace the request in:
When you have seen the log, check if any exception is raised with your request or the request and share it here.

  • Transaction Monitor u2013 Services Processes into BI

    Hello Experts,
I'm wondering if it is possible to get tickets information from Solution Manager and have some statistics in BI.
For instance the average time of ticket resolution, number of tickets per team/person/month, etc, etc
At this moment Iu2019m using the ZNTP transaction in solution manager to access Transaction Monitor u2013 Services Processes.
I would like to install BI Content to have some summary queries about the activity within ZNTP.
I already connected BI to SMP and also replicated metadata, however the data sources available just by the name donu2019t help me much.
Perhaps I should check the content version within solution manager and BI but I don't know how to performe such verifications.
    Thanks

using rsa3 in the source system I'm getting the follow error:
The extraction program does not support object 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H

  • Chatty replication protocol (2.6 messages per transaction): bad settings?

    Hi,
I'm trying to determine why for a two-site replication setup (Linux, BDB 4.6.21 with the latest patch) it seems like a single transaction can take up to 100 ms to be replicated under heavy load when the non-replicated transaction takes 5 ms.
The transaction in question is a fully-synchronized update (ie: a commit at site R1 should not return until R2 has also committed and flushed the transaction to disk), and there are only two sites in the replication group, the master and the replica.
Here are the statistics I gathered from my application, at the replica after it was promoted to the master (the master having been killed):
    Replication: txnsApplied=3584, repMsgsProcessed=9390, repMsgsSent=17, repMsgsSendFailures=4, nextLSN=1/1162804, nextPages=0, pagesRecords=6, pagesRequested=0, status=3, waitingLSN=0/0, waitingPages=0
    Replication Manager: connectionAttemptsFailed=0, connectionsDropped=1, repMessagesDropped=0, repMessagesQueued=0, permFailed=4
It seems like the replication protocol is quite chatty (2.6 messages per transaction), which may explain some of the latency.
I use 2048-byte pages, and the typical transaction size is no more than 1024 bytes; I experimented with relaxing the transactional guarantees (setTxnNoSync et al) but had a similar experience.
Does anyone have any suggestions for this environment configuration to increase the throughput of this kind of replication setup? Your help would be kindly appreciated.

    Replication: txnsApplied=3584, repMsgsProcessed=9390,
    repMsgsSent=17, repMsgsSendFailures=4,
    nextLSN=1/1162804, nextPages=0, pagesRecords=6,
    pagesRequested=0, status=3, waitingLSN=0/0,
    waitingPages=0
    Replication Manager: connectionAttemptsFailed=0,
    connectionsDropped=1, repMessagesDropped=0,
    repMessagesQueued=0, permFailed=4
It seems like the replication protocol is quite
chatty (2.6 messages per transaction), which may
explain some of the latency. The replication protocol is that each log record written to the
log is also transmitted to the client. Therefore, if your transaction
has a lot of operations, or if even a single update results in several
log records written (splitting a page, for example), each of those
log records will be transmitted to the client.
Does anyone have any suggestions for this environment
configuration to increase the throughput of this kind
of replication setup? Your help would be kindly
appreciated. You can try the bulk message configuration option. Look at
the dbenv->rep_set_config method with the DB_REP_CONF_BULK
flag. That option collects the log records locally in memory and
then sends them all either on a txn_commit operation or if the
buffer fills up. That should result in fewer messages.
However, it is also interesting that there were 4 message send failures
as well as 4 permFailed counts in your statistics. It is likely whatever
caused those resulted in some messages to rerequest the missing
    records.

Sorry again, I am new on any kind of forum, so i am learning now, following is the error massage generated by SQL Server. and its not
an architecture problem, i had just included my complete architecture to be more informative while asking for the solution or suggestion. My real problem is T-SQL, i think and its related to Distributed queries raise in SQL Server in Oracle Link Server.

  • Put Message in the Monitor

I am trying to write a message to the monitor from the start routine of my update rules.  I am using the below code:
          MONITOR-MSGID = 'RSM1'.
          MONITOR-MSGTY = 'I'.
          MONITOR-MSGNO = 799.
          MONITOR-MSGV1 = 'Load Error: '.
          MONITOR-MSGV2 = 'No Material for Specification: '.
          MONITOR-MSGV3 = wa_dp-ehs_spec.
          append MONITOR.
However, the only message that shows up in the monitor is "*****  Scheduler".  I do not get the error message text that I specify to show up in the monitor.  Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

    Hello Mark,
Depending on the BW version and the supportpackage level, an error can occur when the monitor functions are used. This is described in SAP Note 886222 “Note 859813 - MSGNO is not displayed in monitor.”
The monitor entries are filled with the custom messages in the start routine but the values in  MSGNO and MSGV1 of the message are not passed to the monitor and are not displayed. This note corrects a problem that was introduced with note 859813.
If the BW system is on the support package level described below, the problem can occur.
    BW release     3.0 B
    Problem occurs in SP 28
    Problem solved in SP 29
    BW release     3.1C (content)
    Problem occurs in SP 22
    Problem solved in SP 23
    BW release     3.5
    Problem occurs in SP 14
    Problem solved in SP 15
    Hope this helps

  • SCOM2012 Web Transaction Monitor - Displaying the Request Status

I have successfully created a 'Web Application Transaction Monitor' using the SCOM 2012 R2 Console wizard.  The monitor goes through several listed website URLs and completes.
What I'm interested in is how to display the 'Request' status objects.  I use the MS-Visio plug-in to display various dashboards within Sharepoint and I would like to display the part of the Web Transaction which is showing an error.
I can see the individual requests under the Availability of the created 'Web Application Transaction Monitor'.  I just need to capture those objects for displaying within a view or MS-Visio diagrams.
The email notifications show which of the URLs are having the issue, but I do not seem to find a view or object I can display.
Any ideas on what could be done would be appreciated.  I was hoping NOT to create individual Web Txn Monitors for each URL, but that maybe the only solution.

When I create a Dashboard View and add the Alert Widget, I can get the URL from Name Column.

  • Web Application Transaction Monitoring Alerts with "wrong" Path

    Hello,
i have created some web transaction monitors, such as
http://foo.htm who is  hosted on the server foo123.cologne.org.
    It works.. but
we have also a mssql monitoring, the discovery of the mssql management pack discovers the reporting part of mssql server on our managementserver Operations12.cologne.org. So (it's right..) the server Operations12.cologne.org is a member of the SQL Instances;SQL
    Compontents;SQL Computers group.
When the web transaction monitor generates an alert, it have the pathname Operations12.cologne.org and not the pathname of the "right" server foo123.cologne.org.
For our mssql admins i have build an email-notification, when somethings going wrong at our sql servers (member of the SQL Instances;SQL Compontents;SQL Computers group) they received a mail.
The problem is, that they received a mail, when a web transaction monitor generated one, because the pathname is the name of our management server, because the management server is a member of thos sql server groups.
Someone have an idea to fix my "problem"?
    - Best way: changing the path names of the web transaction monitorings... but how? i can't find anything to change..
    Kind regards
    Wolfgang Winter

Thank you, it's a help to decide, what to do, so i have to solutions:
    - installing an agent to the web-appliction-hosting-server and configure it as a watcher node
(may be i will have problems with our firewall admins, because they have to allow the communications and.. when the hosting watcher is down, i have no alerts.. when i use more than one watcher nodes (good).. i have the wrong path names..
    - configure a part of our management server group without  SQL-Reporter Component as a watcher node
(more easy, because i have to tell my firewall admins: "the server foo456 is the standard watcher node"
Crazy.. because i don't know, how to assign the web transaction monitors to the "causing" server.., for mail notification and for our integration to HP Service Desk...

  • Table that stores the application logs messages for transaction CRMD_ORDER

    Hi Guru's,
I would like to know which CRM table that is used to store application logs (consist of error / warning / information messages) in transaction CRMD_ORDER? I would like to retrieve the text messages of the application log.
    Thanks.

    Hi there,
The logs are on tables BALHDR (header) and BALDAT (detail).
In BALHDR you can fill OBJECT with 'CRM_DOCUMENT' and EXTNUMBER with the document GUID (you can obtain it in CRMD_ORDERADM_H table).
The BALDAT is a cluster table, so the information is a little 'encoded' there for direct consulting without abap code.
Alternatively, you can use FM APPL_LOG_READ_DB to read the messages that are contained in any CRM document.
    Kind regards,

When using Transaction Monitor I notice that there are two available filters:
Org Unit (Service) and Service Organization
When I try and use these filters only some of the Org Units I have created using PPOMA_CRM ae visible and most of the other org units are not.
How do I make all the other Org Units I have created visible to this filter option?
    Thanks

    Hi Naveen,
We assign these Org Units on the support ticket in the support team field when creating the ticket. Do I need to make any further configuration as all the support teams I have entered on the tickets do not appear as a selectable option when using the Org Unit (Service) or Service Organization filters in Transaction Monitor.
I am sure there is somethign I am missing.
    Thanks for your assistance.
