OsX 10.8.2 in App store

Hello Apple,
Recently I bought a new Mac mini for my personal computer.
I want to create USB install disk so, I checked OS X Mountain Lion in App store but, it is not a downloadable S/W as per the below.
So, I check Purchased section but, there has no OS X Mountain Lion.
However, My computer OS is Mountain Lion & I could see updates in Updates section.
How can I download OS X Mountain lion in App store?

You can't download an OEM copy from the Mac App Store; instead, there's a preloaded recovery partition in the event the OS needs to be reinstalled. If the computer originally shipped with 10.8.2, you won't be able to download or buy the Mac App Store version from it until the next patch.

I downloaded Mac OSX Mountain Lion via the App Store. My understanding is that you can download it on up to 3 machines?
I have downloaded it to one iMac and one MBP but have one more to do. I've accessed the App Store with my admin logon on my last MBP to download it but can't seem to find it in my purchased history to do it.
I can go into iTunes into my account and then purchase history where it's recorded, but there's nothing here about how to download it again?

Log into the Mac App Store using the EXACT same Apple ID as before when you first purchased ML, and in your Account look under "Purchases", where you can download it again.

If Apple launches Mac OSX Lion only via the App Store (no CD), how do we have to install the Windows drivers on Bootcamp?

But OSX 10.6.8 is still there & the image of OSX Mountain Lion is in my dock with the caption "OSX Mountain Lion -- Paused" !!! ...Now ANOTHER 20 minutes have passed & no change nor other prompts nor info have come up!! WHAT'S GOING ON??? PLEASE HELP!!! ~~~THANK YOU!!!

I had never turned my iMac off so I still don't understand why the download paused, & when I looked in my Applications folder there was no Mountain Lion, but your words, "However, you can pause and resume the download as many times as you want" encouraged me to look deeper & try harder!! I clicked & double-clicked (& multi-clicked!) the Mtn Lion icon in my dock to no avail but finally, I clicked & HELD the click for about 7 seconds . . . . . . . & then a little pop-up came & asked me if I want to "Resume the download" or stop it!! So I slid the cursor over to "Resume..." & it's downloading again!! ~~I HOPE!! I guess 4.4 GB of OS update will take more than a little time to get in there!

I cant redownload OSX 10.8 in Mac App store

I purchased a copy of OSX 10.8 in Mac App store.
After that, when i wanna re-download this, i can't find it in the purchased list, even when i use the Option button!
So please show me how to re-download the installer again without cost, i paid it!

I am trying to re-install OSX onto my second hand MacBook - I need to redeem my OSX purchase on the Mac App store

I need to get the OSX redemption code logged into my App le ID account for the OSX re-install to work.
I cannot log onto the App Store from my MacBook and I have no other Apple devices.
The Mac App Store only allows log on from an OSX device.
My friend is concerned that if I log on to the App Store with my credentials it will corrupt his iMAC (used to run his business) - is this an issue?
If not, when the redemption code is entered, I trust this won't overwrite his existing OSX?
Will this get my MacBook re-istalled once we get the redemption code in?

As long as you're running OS X, 10.6.6 or later, you should be able to.

Absolutely not. He would have to login to your App Store account before anything could possibly happen.

You'll have to explain this further. What version of OS X is your Mac running now? What model MacBook do you have?

OSX Lion and the Mac App Store

I have 2 computers... I need to buy OSX Lion two times (one for each computer in the mac app store) or I only need to buy it once and I can install it in my 2 computers?

Have you bought Lion with the same account you're trying to install Lion Server?
Normally you didn't have to pay Lion twice. You only have to had installed Lion with the newst update to load and install Lion server

Downloading osx 10.8.5 from app store?

This morning I tried to update to the latest version of XCode on my mac mini. In 'About this mac' it gives the version as 10.7.5. The XCode installer says that I need to be on at least 10.8.+ to do this.
I purchased the upgrade in the Mac App store. Clicked 'download' and now i'm stuck. Nothing happening at all. I have a deadline to complete the upgrade of an iOS app but can't tell if anything is happening at all.
Could anyone advise? Is there I direct download link anywhere? The bar is just not moving at all.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
Go to Applications folder, delete the OS X installer and restart. Then, go to App Store > Purchases and download Mountain Lion

Also keep in mind, that with the recent (or maybe not so recent) password update, the Apple ID password must include:
At least 1 letter
At least 1 capital letter
Must not contain multiple identical consecutive characters (eg: ffffff)
Must nor be the same as the account name
Be at least 8 characters total
and must not be a common password (im not going to lie, i have no idea what that means)

I keep trying but the download wheel starts to spin then nothing...
No downoad or instructions. ANy one else having this problem?

It would help to know which one of the 9 different models of MacBook you have. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.

Buying OSX App store on my imac and mounting it on a USB for my old MBP legal?

I want to buy OSX mountain lion in the App store on my imac and mount it on a USB to update my old MBP (running leopard so I can't use the app store.)
If I am using the same apple id for both computers is this legal or will the app store think I am putting it on extra computers, and shut me down or something?

Just to be clear the OSX mountain lion installer will not open even from a clean install, because the laptop is running 10.5.8
(My imac is running the latest mountain lion and the app store is already installed, I am not installing the appstore as the subject of this thread is a little confusing i realise now.)
