Try uninstalling the software that installed these:
tc.tctechnologies.driver.TCNear 8786
com.waves.driver.soundgrid 2.0.0
Use the uninstaller provided by the developer of the software. If that eliminates the kernel panics, try reinstalling one at a time to determine which one is causing the problems.
You may be able to update them to current versions that work with Mountain Lion.
Also, if those drivers are for external hardware, disconnect the hardware to test.

Logic pro 9.1.7 crashes all the time with OSX 10.7.3
Dear all
Since more or less 7 days my logic pro 9.1.7 crashes all the time. Is there a known bug with logic and the latest OSX?
According to the fact that I have
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000000
I am a little worried about possible hardware issues. Does somebody have an idea?
Cheers
-Marc

5Hi
I confirm that your are right:
Since 10.7.3 uses a newer version of 'ProKit'.
Version 7 won't install.
Maybe I found a workaround:
Curently I am running Logic in 64-bit mode. In my project (36 tracks) I was removing all the plug-in's and re-instanciate them (**** of a waste of time).... since then I did not have any crash.
I also found a issue with iZotope Products that use iLok. I am using iZotope Alloy as well as Ozone 5 advanced, Stutter Edit and Vinyl. All iZotope products produce memory errors that can be seen in the console. The only iZotope product that is running fine is Vinyl... and that plug-in is free and has no iLok security check.
That is the statement of iZotope Customer Service:
1.) Go to the following folder:
(Macintosh HD)/Library/Application Support/iZotope/Alloy
2.) Delete "AuthAssistant.bundle" from that folder.
It is rare, but occasionally this package (which interfaces Alloy with iLok drivers) becomes corrupted on some systems. If you use iLok you will need to use Challenge/Response authorization, but deleting this may prevent instability.
Hope that helps
Cheers
-Marc
PS: I would have deleted the unnecessary error stuff to make it more readable... but I didn't fgure out how to change a posted message. Sorry. -
Trying to download OSX Mountain Lion, but just says waiting all the time? Anyone know what this could be?
You are not specific with your problem or errors but one thing that always throws people off is as follows:
When entering you're login name you must use the entire login with carrier name such as [email protected] The field defults to just your name but not the carrier name. -

before installing osx mavericks, do i have to create a back up of all the stuff that i have on my mac book pro or can i just click install and everything stays without getting deleted.
Never Ever do anything with an operating System without backing up first.
While it is usual for a new OS to install with no loss of data, the time you do it without first backing up will most likely be the time that you wish you had backed up.
In all of the updates and upgrades Apple distributes there is a recommendation to backup your data before installing.
The easiest option is to get an external hdd if you do not already have one, plug it into the mac and follow the prompts to use the drive for Time Machine. Note that any data existing on the external hdd will be erased so use a new one or one that you are confident is ok to erase without a disaster ensuing.
Also ensure that System Preferences -> Energy Saver has been set so the Computer Sleep is Never so that the backup will not be interrupted if this is the first backup or it is a long time since the last backup was done. -
Kernel Panics all the time. Anyone else?
Ever since i updated my Macbook to Mavericks, my Apple experience has been a nightmare. In the last months:
I've been getting the Aw, Snap! page every fifteen minutes or so in Chrome. I've tried disabling extensions, signing out, downloading the anti-virus and even deleting and reinstalling the application.
Programs crash and become unresponsive all the time.
Kernel_task is really high on memory
My computer restarts at least twice a day, and I get the white screen with black lettering in all the languages. (Kernel Panics)
I've tried to identify what's causing the problem, and most of the apps crash on the com.apple.main-thread
Any fix on this? I'm getting quite neurotic.
Thanks!Hi, thanks!
I've tried all of your suggestions. It keeps crashing.
Here's the panic log.

Kernel panics all the time - what is the reason?
during the past few month (must be 3 or 4) I've get kernel panics all the time. there are no specimen programs open. sometimes I've get the kernel right after the start. it is very frustrating because apple couldn't help me so I hope someone know what these panic log means (these are only the three last one):

Kernel version:
Darwin Kernel Version 8.2.0: Fri Jun 24 17:46:54 PDT 2005; root:xnu-792.2.4.obj~3/RELEASE_PPCI have had the same issue since I got my Powerbook (1.5GHz). I'll tell you what I have tried, but it looks like Apple is going to just have to either replace the logic board or the whole computer itself.
Since the very beginning I suspected the graphics card. I really don't know how to decipher the panic.log, but I see NVDA and Graphics repeated a lot in the log. Regardless, I tried every troubleshoot out there, but nothing worked. I reset PRAM, did both hardware tests, fixed permissions, I even erased my hard drive and reinstalled both from the install disk, then from a different OS 10.4 disk. I did an archive and install, a journaled erase, and a complete erase of my hard drive. I even reset the Airport card. I called Apple care and they basically wanted me to do the same things I had already done, so I just took it into the Apple store for repairs. The company they contract their work out to (Flextronics International) did not do any extensive diagnostics, they simply replaced a flex cable between the hard drive and the logic board. I got it back and within a week the kernel panics started again. I took it back in and this time they (Flextronics) reset the Airport card, which made absolutley no sense. I know a loose Airport card causes kernel panics, but by this point they should have done much much more than that. I have been struggling with this for over a month and Apple wants to try one more repair before replacing the computer. It has been extremely frustrating dealing with Apple technical support and customer relations. I haved been extremely patient with them, but at this point I just feel like they have wasted too much of my time on this issue that could have been resolved if they contracted their work out to competant companies.
So like I said. Good luck on getting it fixed. You may be having a different problem, but I tried all the troubleshooting that is recomended to consumers and more, yet my Powerbook is still getting kernel panics. At this point I am just trying to get Apple to fix the problem once and for all. And I think that will involve a new logic board or a new computer. -
Win 7 set up and running OK,but after go back from OSX the wireless net work stuck at identification cause the window working without Internet. Can we fix it or I must use Windows off line all the time?
I already contact Microsoft 2 times for activations.Hope I can fix from Apple instead.Ok....Got "Problem 2 and 4" solved....still trying to figure out this pop up everytime I click something...it's crazy how fast the pop up blinks...maybe once or 3 blinks then nothing till you close the window, then pop up then disappears...then click something
else and pop up then gone....never seen this before...ive seen it when you tried to get online which turned out to be a virus on a customers cpu I worked on some years ago, I think it has something to do with the deleted files that I spoke of on last
post...I notice it does it on start up as well.....think something is trying to install but not sure. Need to figure out where the appdata or start up folder and see whats in there....maybe it's in there.......so I might wait to see how it acts in the next
couple days for "Problem 1"...but other than that it's running like a champ...so right now I just want to get the pop up windows to stop........thx again for everyone's help on this.

Kernal panics - daily? Help?
Hi Folks
Maybe you can help... lately my imac intel has been kernal panicing.. a lot.
I can't narrow it down to one bit of software, or anything. Today it just kernal panic'd and showed that nasty multi-lingual message while I was watching a DVD and not even touching the thing...
Now - I saved the bug report, but it doesn't mean much to me. But can anyone else shed light on it? I'll post it below. It looks like it could be something with USB... anyone? Please? It makes me sad!
Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Thanks for the quick replies!
I ran the hardware test... and nothing showed up. Did the extended tests and all 'appears' to be fine.
So that's a good thing, I suppose.
I've not installed any new RAM or anything, and the only new thing added in the past few months would be my apple keyboard (which is lovely!).
I've disconnected all stuff that wasn't necessary (Sorry, Palm, you served me well but Blackberry has now made you obsolete!). I'm currently leaning towards blaming my HP C4180 printer. I remember that it had some nasty coded error message on it a while ago - and it's not been too reliable lately. So I've disconnected that and am hoping not to see the kernal panic again...
It's hard to troubleshoot something that doesn't happen at a specific point or when I'm doing something... and as this is my main machine I just have to wait it out and see if it happens again.
Hoping it doesn't and I can safely blame the printer! Otherwise will have to blame one of the 5 external hard drives. But they all tested out okay.
I will give it a week and if it doesn't happen again, Hurrah!
If it IS the printer, how can I hardware troubleshoot that? Or should I contact HP?
Thanks again for your suggestions. I spent ages looking for my hardware test disc until I read that it's on the Install disc. Doh! Shows how old fashioned I am, eh?
That Xlab article is brilliant.. have bookmarked it, but hope I don't have to look at it again!

MBP having Kernel Panic (Crash) all the time due to Wireless card firmware.
Hi all,
I am desperately needing helps from the experts here now. I have the latest santa rosa Macbook Pro. It has been crashing on me lately due to the wireless card firmware. I have run all the latest updates from software update including the AirPort.Atheros firmware update. I have tried to reformat the hard drive and installed a fresh and clean Mac OSX. The crash still persists before AND after the AirPort.Atheros firmware update. I mean I was not having this issue when I first bought the computer while others were whining all over the internet about this problem. When the fix came out, everyone
s problems seem to be solved but my problem arose . A recent Kernel panic crash log is as following:
panic(cpu 1 caller 0x0035D113): freeing free mbuf

Thank you
Have a nice day.i would try this in a test user to see if the issue occurs (more than likely it will)also i would reset the smc and the pram
(test user) go to the apple then system preferences then accounts then in the bottom right hand corner you will see there is a lock click it and put in the password for the computer then click ok then click the plus sign and create the test user make sure that you check the box that says allow user to admin the account then click create account (if a message says something about automatic login click keep) then click the apple and log out then login to the other user.
(smc) you shut the computer down then you unplugg all the cables from the computer then you take the battery out with the battery out you hold the power button down for five seconds then you put the battery back then plug in the ac adapter then start the comptuer up and then plug everything else back in
(pram) you restart the computer holding down the apple option P and R keys till you hear the start up chime twice
if that does not work i would boot to the install disk one holding c and then click utilites from the top and select the mac hd and then verify disk and repair disk
if the issue still occurs then i would back all of the information on the computer up and erase and install
hope this helps -
At this time, Firefox is virtually unusable on the Mac now.
This is not related to any particular website, although websites with flash or java script or "fancier" I/Fs are assured to crash Firefox.
For example, a minute ago, I tried to enter a search phrase into Google (main page) and crash. I tried to enter a search phrase into Netflix search window and crash. I hadn't seen a crash on the Fox News pages though and they are rich content.
Firefox wasn't doing this before the 8.0.1 update (but I can't distinguish this event from the update of Flash to 11.1.102)
I do know that Firefox is virtually unusable (and I'm in Safari at this moment).
I suppose its possible that something on the Mac changed (firmware) but why isn't there a problem with Safari then?
Its not like I have time for a full fledged debug of another software application!!! I don't (and I AM a professional software developer that develops on ALL the platforms/OS including OSX all versions, Windows back to XP, and Linux most flavors and I'm a Qt expert also)
I've NEVER had this problem before. At first I was leaning towards the Flash update. But now I'm not sure.
If someone would suggest a progression of moves to isolate this issue, I'll take that much time to troubleshoot this. I can't quite believe that more people aren't having this problem.
ok.. I'll start with disabling plugins. Then I'll start backing up to previous versions, starting with Flash, then Firefox as these were the latest 2 updates.I'm going to back up to Firefox 7 next. I'm getting the drift that 8.0.1 and/or flash on 8.0.1 are unstable.
I'll let you know if that solves this problem.
NOPE. This had no effect. -

The panic log is flagging your AirPort card:
Kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependencies):
com.apple.iokit.AppleAirPort2...
Be sure the AirPort card is installed properly and hasn't come loose.
If that doesn't solve it, see my "Resolving Kernel Panics" FAQ. This FAQ includes step-by-step instructions for identifying and resolving some of the most common causes of kernel panics.
My FAQ is a roadmap: start at the beginning and work through to the end, including the "If all else fails..." section if a cause or resolution is not found in an earlier troubleshooting step therein.
The "uncorrectable machine check" panic, i.e.
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x000A8B98): Uncorrectable machine check...
indicates a RAM problem, low-level programming error, or other hardware issue such as a defective processor or logic board problem. A faulty or improperly installed AirPort Card would qualify as "other hardware issue." However, even though the backtrace sections of the panic logs are flagging AirPort components, there may be other issues causing the panic and the AirPort components were merely engaged at the time of the panic. Hence why it is important to follow the troubleshooting roadmap in my FAQ.
Good luck!

Why dos MacBook 4,2 get Kernel Panics all the time?
I bought the late 2008 White MacBook a few months ago. When I bought it, the battery was flat, so I replaced it with a new one. Then I constantly got Kernel Panics on startp, and could never get to my log in screen. I decided to remove the battery, and run from mains, and this worked with no Panics. I recently bought a new battery (genuine apple), and fit it in. This worked no problem for a week or so, until yesterday it started to panic again, just in the middle of my work. The kernel panics weren't as frequent, but now they are. I removed this battery, yet still kernel panics when running from mains, and now I can't login to my computer.
I am running OS X Lion 10.7.2, 4gb RAM, 250gb Hardrive. I am unsure what to do. ThanksI'm so fed up with these Kernel Panics and Random
shutdowns! It seems like they occour more frequently
now than ever before.
So, you've done all the steps the other people have pointed you to? You've re-loaded the OS? You've swapped out RAM to see if that fixes things?
I don't know what to do next. Call Apple and
complain? I really don't have a clue. Any
suggestions?
I think it's probably time to take it to Apple. Either call them and explain what you've done to narrow down the problem or take it in to a repair center.
From your symptom (that it seems to panic when you move it) I'd wonder if there's a cold solder joint or broken trace on one of the boards, and when you move it a little bit, there's an electrical interruption or short that causes your panics.
I've never looked inside a MacBook, so I don't know if it's possible with that particular model, but I've seen similar kinds of things with other laptops.

MacBook Kernel Panics All The Time
My fife month-old MacBook seems to have a Kernel Panic everytime I try to move it (lift it up, put it down etc). Sometimes my MacBook even panics out of the blue, standing still on a smooth surface. I ran the hardware-tests, but they couldn't find any problems.
My panic.log-file follows:

My white MacBook (not C2D) has a 2GHz prossessor ad 1 GB RAM (All bought and installed by Apple).
I may have misplaced my topic, but I didn't know quite where to post it.
Thanks!I'm so fed up with these Kernel Panics and Random
I've never looked inside a MacBook, so I don't know if it's possible with that particular model, but I've seen similar kinds of things with other laptops.
charlie -
Can anyone decode this Kernal Panic. I've had 6 over the last 2 weeks
Thanks for looking
MacPro 32 gigs RAM 8 core
NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 1536 MB
OS X 10.9.3 (13D65)
Sometimes it'll shut down in the middle of the night while rendering, sometimes while I'm authoring 3d or editing 2d
..and if you decipher the bomb, I'd be curious what portion of this report gives you the clue. Cheers
