I'm looking to update my CS6 filters and I was wondering if Kai's Power Tools 6 will work on my Mac?

From windows, Adobe Download Assistant only gives the links to the windows versions of the trial software. I need to download the mac version trial. Any Idea??

Dreamweaver CS6 crashes after Mountain Lion Upgrade

I'm on a 2012 Macbook Air and recently upgraded to Mountain Lion, now my Dreamweaver won't start, it crashes right after displaying the startup menu.
I have tried all suggestions I could find on the forums however without success.
To confirm the below didn't work:
- Clear cache files
- remove all preferences / rebuild prefences
- Create new OSX profile
- Reinstall CS6 after removing all exisiting Adobe CS6 files.
Has anyone found a solution for this?

i've been hitting forum after forum with so many having this issue.
i'm one of them.
tried everything on this site i could find...still cannot get DW CS6 to open ( or install properly...what ever the issue is)
its doing that little "pop up" for a second in the dock, then fails.
i have got FW CS6 installed and its running sweet.    running OS x lion. this is the first app i've ever had an issue with installing.
really need this up and running to edit my 2 sites asap.    i read somewhere about re-setting FONTS to default, but i dont really know
how to do that without a osx lion disc. i bought this imac a year ago with lion installed on it already.
tried:

- Create new OSX profile ( did not install on that new user either...actually worse. would not even get past the half way of installation)

- downloaded latest updates and DW CS6 from site.

CS6 Building Histograms on every action

I am on OSX using Photoshop CS6.
For a couple months now I have experienced the "Building Histograms" dialog appearing on nearly every move or action; moving an object, adjusting a shape, zooming in & out, simply selecting an object.
The building of the histograms almost always takes up to 10+ seconds to complete.
I have followed other topics where there was no solid professional answer to the problem. The closest thing everyone was able to pin it on was the use of an extension or add-on. I have none of these.
In my opinion an update / fix should be applied for this. I won't be interested in further debugging or providing information. Simply stating that I am experiencing this for history sake.

There was a third party plugin that caused that, and a script installed by a prepress tool (under Event Scripts) that did something similar.
We could not find a bug in Photoshop that would cause that behavior - it was always caused by third party code that the user added to Photoshop.
We cannot put out a fix for third party code: you are going to have to debug your system to find out what plugin or script is causing it on your system.

IOS compiling in CS5.5 vs CS6

My game compiles and plays amazingly if I publish it using Flash CS5.5 (my work computer) using any SDK. However, when I go home to work where I left off, my flash CS6 (home) kicks out an IPA file, it installs, and when I launch the app, all I get is a white screen. Seriously, what happened to CS6 that kills all my work that runs fine when compiled in CS5.5?

Air for iOS: 3.5.0
Rendering: GPU
Final Result: IPA created, Installed on iPad 3 running iOS 6. Game works flawlessly.
SEMI WORKING
OS: OSX Lion
Program: Adobe Flash Professional CS6
Air for iOS: 3.2
Rendering: Direct
Final Result: IPA created, Installed on iPad 3 running iOS6. Game runs ok. All graphics in proper place, but performance is slow.
NON WORKING
OS: OSX Lion
Program: Adobe Flash Professional CS6
Air for iOS: 3.2
Rendering: GPU, CPU or AUTO
Final Result: IPA created, Installed on iPad3 running iOS6. Game sort of runs. All graphics merged to center of screen, not playable.
NON WORKING
OS: OSX Lion
Program: Adobe Flash Professional CS6
Air for iOS: 3.5.0
Rendering: ANY
Final Result: IPA created, Installed on iPad3 running iOS6. Game is nothing but white screen with 3 very very small black dots blinking on top left of screen.
Based on these results I conclude that there is something wrong with either OSX or Flash CS6, as the newest SDK works just fine on Windows with CS5.5 and yet the same SDK doesn't work at all on OSX with CS6. Any thoughts?

Cannot open InDesign CS6 once installed?

Hi, I have just installed the trial of InDesign CS6 but it will not open after being installed. I have a Mac OS X version 10.4.11. Does this mean my Mac is too old to run this software? I got it in 2007...
Any help greatly appreciated!

The fact that I mentioned they already both have creative cloud cs6 installed and that I first mentioned I know how to save back IDML (but CC CS6 for Mac installs version 8, CC CS6 for Windows installs version 9). The issue is that the person that uses the mac finds these files occasionally when there is no access to a PC at the time to do the IDML export. What I am asking is:
1) Is there a quick way to locate just CS9 files by doing a file search either on Win8 or OSX 10.9? (so that as a last resort, yes I will save them as IDML, but I have thousands of InDesign files on the server storage and only a couple hundred may be ID9 files, the rest are all ID files from CS3)
2) Is there a way to set the default save version on the PC to be compatible with version 8 on OSX with the least amount of loss from downgrading the file?
3) Is there a trick for overriding the error on the MAC and forcing it to open the file?
4) are there plans to release InDesign 9 for OSX as a CS6 update in the near future?

Same machine, running bootcamp, photoshop runs great on windows 7 but laggy on Mac OSX mavericks

Dont know why this is happening but on mac OSX mavericks photoshop CS6 and photoshop CC 2014 run laggy. 2014 is even worse than CS6. I tried both Yosemite and downgraded to mavericks to see if it would help and it didn't. If I draw a rectangle on a layer and drag it around, it jumps around the screen rather than being smooth. On the same computer Im running bootcamp Windows 7 and CC 2014 runs great on there so its something on the mac side. Any ideas on what this is? It can't be drivers for mavericks at this point because its been out for over a year now I think they would have fixed it.

Need help fixing a stuck pixel in Premiere Pro CS6

Editing on a MacPro, OSx.6, Premiere CS6, I have found a stuck pixel (red) on some of my footage. Tried removing with cc wire removal in AE, but that did not seem to want to work. Everytime we applied the wire filter to our comp, it turn the whole comp black. Does anyone know of another work around to fix a stuck pixel or another plug in to use?

I've got the same issue - when CC Wire Removal is applied the entire screen goes black. I tried it on two different systems running at significantly different specs - same result. There is another blog on here someplace with many people reporting the same issue. I'm curious as to why there isnt a fix for this already? I've got a video to deliver by tomorrow for an international construction giant and I can't remove a freaking dead pixel! I can't use the clone stamp as the pixel is right in the left corner of the mouth, so it's (depending on the frame) either just outside the mouth, in the mouth, on the tongue or on the tooth. Very frustrating (also admit that my limited AE ability restricts me to applying the CC wire removal fix).
I'm hoping I can render the footage in a different codec and maybe CC wire removal will cooperate...

Media Encoder error upon adding media

When I add media to encode, I get the error: [/ame6_mac/main/external/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac/../../Src/PathUtils.cpp- 202]
I'm on a Mac running OSX 10.8, CS6 Production Premium.

Hopefully someone else can chime in that knows something. I am having the exact same issue.
I cannot import any video (.mpg, .avi) from any source (local machine, network), including videos that I previously imported and encoded successfully. This is not something that I do on a regular basis; the last time was in January of this year. I suspect an Adobe update applied between then and now is the culprit.

You may be able to install and run it on 10.6.8, but as I understand it the rules for generating thumbnails has changed with Apple and CC writes them to suit the required OSX.
Photoshop CS6 will always give you image thumbnails but CC and CC 2014 have had thumbnails generated differently for the required OSX.
You will have to upgrade to 10.7,10.8, or 10.9

I have my sequence placed in Encore through the Dynamic Link option, but when I go to "Build" the project onto a disc, the "Build" button cannot be clicked.I have the project set to "Use current".
Any ideas why I can't get Encore to burn a disc?

I no longer have a "Sign" option in version 10.1.6

Up until last week I was able to sign documents with Adobe Reader X v 10.1.6. I attempted to click the "Sign" button one time and it just disappeared. This seems to be an office-wide issue, but our other location has the same version and is not having these problems. The company I get the forms from only has certain ones designated as "fillable" but even the other ones were able to be filled in using the Sign and then Add Text option. I'm getting really really frustrated as it seems I've tried everything to fix this issue. Any advice?

Can't format text when entire text box is selected

I'm having trouble with text formatting. I have a document in which I can't format text at all if the entire box is selected; all formatting menus are grayed out. (I can format text if individual lines are highlighted using the cursor.) I've tried resetting preferences and resaving the document using IDML. If it matters, I'm using OSX Mavericks, iD CS6, and the Suitcase Fusion extension. Can anyone help?

Are selecting the text, or the frame? If the latter, you can only format text when selecting the frame if it isn't threaded to other frames. For the former, turn off suitcase, to start, and if that doesn't change things see Replace Your Preferences

My first question in this forum. Be kind.
I am a Post mixer who has used ProTools HD since version 1. Now 11. I teach Sound Design at a local Arts College who wanted me to change from their previous DAW (SoundTrack Pro) to Audition. I really like Audition after spending these past few weeks with it.
My question is: In a Multitrack session, if I select a clip and nudge it in either direction the picture doesn't follow. For example, placing footsteps in a scene. It would nice to actually have the picture follow the edited movement. What have I missed?
I have searched in vain, and on end and, have found no solutions. This seems like such a must have for any Post audio editorIng platform.
