OSX Lion download problems

Hi i cant download osx lion that i bought via the app store. i was sent a confirmation code but when i downloaded it, it says i cant download it in the uk.

Quit the App Store.
Turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall
Disable anti virus software and any third party internet enhancement downloading software, (ie., Speed Download, etc.)
Relaunch the App Store. From the App Store menu bar top of your screen click Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads.

OSX lion router problem?

OSX Lion will not download. Error message comes up before download begins. I'm using a BT business hub and read that I need to change some firewall settings? Can anyone shed some light on this please.

I've changed the firewall settings but no there is an Internal server error <face palm>

Very slow Mac OSX Lion download from App Store

Hi All,
I have recently purchased Mac OSX Lion (3 days ago) on App Store (Malaysia). The download is extremely slow and
I am not sure if there could be any other problem contributing to this issue.
Currently I have only completed about 1.61GB out of 3.74GB after 3 days. But, it was not a continuous download but
rather stop and resume every 3 hours. My internet connection speed as I checked on speedtest.net was 4Mbps.
The time left to complete the download is shown as 2 days and 20 hours. I think it's not sensible to have such a
long time to complete the download with an available connection speed of 4Mbps.
Any solutions for this problem ?

Now I'm experiencing better download speeds with remaining time of (7 hours and a few minutes).
The connection speed I have is about 5Mbps.

It may not seem worthy or the "solution for the problem" but it has certainly made the difference for me.

Osx Lion Restore Problems

So I decided to restore my new 2011 21.5 inch imac back to osx lion, I decided this because apparently my macintosh hd wont let my partition it in anyway and i cant put windows on here unless I do a fresh install of lion, then I can do boot camp.
So I booted into the recovery manager option when you start up your computer and I clicked on restore osx lion.
It took about 6 hours to download, and then the computer rebooted, and now I dont know what to do, I went back to the restore lion option in that menu and it makes me download it all again.
Does anyone know what I can do?
Id be happy if someone could help with my partitioning problem if they cant help with my restore problem.

Lion Recovery Assistant should only take a few minutes to download unless you're on the slowest Internet connection known to man. Also OS X is NOT like MS Windows that has to be reinstalled at every hickup. It is INCREDIBLY stable. On the computer I'm using right now in the 4+ years I've owned it it has NEVER needed the OS reinstalled and is totally stable. I have upgraded it from Tiger to Leopard to Snow Leopard and now Lion. It has been through countless updates and still continues to work like it is a new machine.

Where is OSX Lion download?

I have downloaded Lion from the App store and it has installed. I cannot find the installer anywhere on my machine. I am having issues with Mail and would like to reinstall either Lion or Mail or uninstall and reinstall both. Where does the OSX Lion app reside once downloaded and installed? Tried all the usual places, downloads...
Has anyone else had this problem?

Mountain Lion download problems with Lion 10.7.5 (no VirusBarrier issue)

I have a mid-2009 Macbook Pro. From the factory it came with Snow Leopard but has since been upgraded to Lion OS X 10.7.5. I do not have VirusBarrier, I am writing from a recently clean-installed Lion.
I have now been troubleshooting my Mac for several days. When I wrote first, I had an issue with Safari having been damaged and so I wasn't able to reinstall Lion - but after a certain extremely helpful community member I finally succeeded in installing Lion.
But the issues with the App Store still persist. All my Mountain Lion downloads fail, getting the error message "can't verify, might be corrupted" what many here have also been getting. However, most solutions were related to VirusBarrier (which I don't have), or /var/folders errors (Console does not show any var-related errors).
So if it's not a var-related issue, or related to firewalls or virus softwares (I have disabled the Firewall and I have no virus software installed), what could it be?
When the download and install of ML failed last time, Console showed the following messages:

Problem elimination:
* I don't think this is a router-related issue: I have downloaded and installed other softwares outside App Store successfully
* As said, I don't think this has anything to do with Firewall or Virus settings
* Nor has this anything to do with /var/folders as far as I can tell
What I've tried so far:
* Repaired disk permissions several times
* Rebooted
* Restarted App Store
* Following one advise found on the net, I deleted preflight.pfpkg just in case
* All the time I have made sure my OS has the most recent Software Updates installed (most of them downloaded successfully, while with Safari and OS 10.7.5. I had to try several times before they were downloaded succesfully)
I just reinstalled my OS X Lion, only to use it to jump on to Mountain Lion - so I am pending my migration until ML is installed. I would like to fix this soon, since I'd like to get the migration done and my real work started. I would really appreciate your help.
I'm not very adept at using Console or Terminal to troubleshoot, so if someone could guide me through the problem identification, that would be great. Unless someone already knows exactly what's going wrong and can show me a working solution - that'd save my day!

In cases like this, if you have an Apple store near by, they will most likely install the OS free of charge for you, if you can't bring your Apple ID along to prove you've paid for it.

HELP..I received the message..."403 Forbidden" on the OSX Lion download.

Make sure that you use a DHCP server to assign the IP automatically instead of defining a fixed IP.<br />

I have bought and downloaded OSX Lion on my macbook air, and I love iit, but I want to download it onto my iMac. Is it possible to download Lion to just one account and have Snow Leopard on another on the same computer? Thanks!

No. You need to use a second partition or drive to install or use multiple Mac OS X versions on one machine. Creating an additional partition on the internal drive may interfere with Boot Camp if you are using or intend to use it.

HT1338 Mountain Lion download problems

Tried to get Mountain Lion download/install on my computer. Got message "An error has occured" so can't download. Computer is up to date with plenty of space.

Went to Genius Bar. Solved my problem but I'm not sure how helpful. He ran some diagnostics (hardware diagnostic progeam; Mac Disk Utility for Hard Drive Verication and repair. Don't think he found much wrong. Then, he went for download on their connection, which worked just fine. He explained it was because of the extremely fast download connection. So, I guess you have to get your Mac to somewhere with a super-fast connection (Apple store, but also our local libraries have a very fast connection) for download.
That's all for this problem, as far as I can tell. Over and out.

Lion Download Problems...

my lion download has reached 900 mb then it said that there was a connection problem, I clicked Retry and it started to download again but the dim icon that is supposed to be in the doc is gone but the app store status is downloading.... help me!!! should i restart???? where do i find the downloaded file?

it does not show Dling as partial in /application its somewhere inside /users/library/apllication support/ apptore...

I received a redemption code for my purchase of OSX Lion, went to download it and now can't find it. I've tried repeating the process but it says "already redeemed". I'm working off a 2007 MacBook.... Please help?

The installer download should be in the Applications folder.

Mac osx lion install problem

when i install osx lion on my mac it installs perfectly until it has to restart i get a do not enter sign then i am forced into installing snow leopard please help

you bought a computer iwth the smaller SSD and you could swap SSD out for 120GB or larger.
60GB is not going to provide enough storage for both Windows 7 and Lion.
Also, good to have some free overhead space for an SSD to manage its own 'garbage'

I have been trying to download OSX Mountain Lion from the appstore on my 10.6.8 mac mini but the file stops downloading after about 10mb. I was able to download 10.7 without any problems but I am not able to downlaod 10.8 on either of my two machines. Both stop at about 10mb. Anyone seen this or have any possible solutions?

I have seen this, unfortunately there are 100 & 1 different things that can cause this. If you want to trouble shoot, let's power-cycle both your modem and router and see how that goes.

Mountain Lion download problem

I have been trying to download Mountain Lion for about 5 hours now and I keep getting errors saying the download cannot be completed. The last error I recieved was The download could not be completed becasue of a Hash Mismatch Error.
A download of about 4GB of data on my Internet Connection would usually take about 1 hour.
If I do get to succesfully download the Installer will the Installation begin automatically or is it started manually. I would prefer manually so I can make a backup copy first.

Contacted Apple Store Tech support requesting a solution. I received a reply from a gentleman telling me his area of expertise and that this problems didn't fit in his area of expertise and suggested I look on online forums and the like for a solution!!
All I have found out is this is a very common problem

I have tried:
Logging out and back onto the Online Store
Deleting the Apple Store cache on my HD
Connecting via an Ethernet cable instead of WI-FI
Using my iPhone 3G Data, teathered
Connecting via a totally different network
Restarting, restarting, restarting...
Nothing has worked. And still no solutions from Apple. I kinda of thought they might have suggested I go into a real Apple store and have them put a copy on my Mac or something.
