OSX Lion Installation Failure

i downloaded osx lion from the app store, but when it finally finished downloading 3.5gb of the the file, during the installation it stops installation and says "the software could not be verified. it may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading"
i deleted the file, and redownloaded it again, and it still says the same message.
can any of you help me out please.

I own a late 2009 Macbook Pro, and it keeps freezing after OSX Lion installation. I will post my computer's 'specs' below. I installed Lion, from Snow Leopard, through the App store. The first week, it worked like a dream, and was loving my brand new computer, or so it seemed. I then began to run into problems, and I can't confirm this 100%, but I believe it was after I updated from 10.7.1, to 10.7.2.
The freezes are sporatic at best, and cannot be narrowed down to one app. I googled the issue about two weeks ago, and found a fix involving a temporary log-in, verifying the disk, restarting the computer holding CMD+R, and repairing the disk from there. That fixed the problem. For about three or four days. From there I brought my laptop to Best Buy, where I purchased the computer (start the groans, my dad wanted the accidental damage, and he was paying, there was no argument). My warranty there was still good, but all they were offering was to check my hard-drive, and possibly ship it out. That would not be good for me, as I am a High School student, who works online.
So I then decided to go to the Apple store, see what they said. They said a bunch of people had this problem, it would cost a lot to fix, as I would need a new Logic Board. This did not make any sense to me, as I knew it was Lion's fault, so why would they not make the L-2009MBP Logic Board compatible, and why are only a few people having this problem, well a lot more than a few, but I mean not everyone.
So I asked a friend about it, and we decided to run a back up, and erase the computer, and re-install Lion. Figuring maybe my data was corrupted during install. This helped for a day or two, and happened again. So this time, we backed up only files (music, pics, documents, etc.,) and did a fresh install. I got my computer back last night. Now, I am not saying that didn't help. Previously I would have frozen about 18 times well writing this, but I have not frozen once (hopefully I didn't just jinx myself). I have gone from about one freeze every 10-15 minutes (sometimes worse), to about one every 1-3 hours. Which, let's be honest is still a lot.
So, before I just decide to go and revert to Snow Leopard on my merry way, I ask, do any of you have any other ideas? Or guarenteed fixes? I know a guarentee is a hard thing to ask for, but I am desperate, my teachers are getting angry with me for not sending work, and I know this would help a lot of people. Thank you to those who read through my whole spiel, and thank you to those who will help me!
[Ps, while I am somewhat of a noob, I know my way around a computer, so any help, or knowledge you could bestow upon me is awesome. Especially DIY fixes. (if your only advice is, don't buy a mac at Best Buy, don't bother commenting)]

Once it is downloaded you need to restart the computer if it does not restart automatically. When it next starts up you should note a progress bar appearing below the Apple logo. When done the computer will restart once more. The new firmware should now be installed.

OSX Lion Installer Corrupt and can't redownload

Today I began download OSX Lion from Mac AppStore and stuck in 2.5GB and Mac AppStore said that this files has been completed. As far I know, the files is 3.4GB so I try to install with this files and said that I can't install using this app. Snow Leopard said that the installer is corrupt.
So I deleted OSX Lion Installer, and go to Mac AppStore again to re download. But something terrible happen, on my Mac AppStore still said that OSX Lion insalled. So I can't re download it.
How to fix this problem?
Please help, I need to redownload the files. So I can upgrade my OS X into Lion

I am on my 9th attempt at deleting and re-downloading. Called Apple tech and they did a scan of my iMac which I sent to them. Apparently files are getting corrupted during the download process and Apple tech services is saying to just delete and try again, but this many times?

OSX Lion installer disappears

I just downloaded and installed OS X 10.7 from the Mac Store. I upgraded my iMac no problem but now the problem is that the OS X Lion installer I downloaded is nowhere to be found. I wanted to burn it to DVD as a backup.
How can I get back OS X Lion that I just bought from the Mac store?

The Installer is deleted after installation. You have to grab a copy of it before starting the install and then follow the procedure here to make a DVD.
See if you can download the installer again from MAS, or do so on another machine and then make a DVD following the procedure above.

Do I need to take back of all data before installing Lion or will I loose all the data in my hard drive when upgrade Snow leopard to Lion?

Your data should remain intact after upgrading; however, it is always recommended to have a full backup of your system before you upgrade. Use Time Machine to create a backup right before installing Lion, so if anything goes wrong you can recover your current installation and try again.

Incredibly Slow OSX Lion Installation

I have tried to install Lion for over 8 hours now with a Download speed over 9 MG
Might not be the best way to install such a major update! Apple should have tested the systems ability to install via the App Store if 100's or indeed 1000's are trying to do so at the same time!
I am going to give up and seek a refund soon this is not worth the hassle to be honest.
I still have 3 more to do! Well given the comments on here about problems I will just try it on one machine for now assuming it downloads before christmas.

My internet connection is 2mb and it took 10.5 hours to download Lion.Some thoughts: A direct internet connection is faster than a wireless, Quit all other programs while running, and download during a quiet time like overnight. Right now I would suspect the App Store is running at full speed with all the users onboard.
With your speed it should be faster but choke points along the way may be determining the speed of the download. All I can add is be patient.

Mac osx Lion Won't Install!

PLS Help! Mac osx Lion won't install on my Mac!
My download was almost finished and then it gave me an error saying "An error occures while running scripts from the pakage "mzm.eqqwamzh.pkg."
Then, when i clicked the Applications Folder there was The Mac osx Lion Installer i clicked on it but it gave me an Error too saying "This copy of the install Mac OS X Lion Application is Damaged,and can't be used to install Mac OS X."

OSX Lion won't boot after Bootcamp installation interrupted

Hello, I started a Bootcamp installation on my OSX Lion Mac Pro. Once I realized that I could only use Windows 7, I had to hold off on the installation until I located my Windows 7 disk. I had set the Bootcamp partition size to 100 GB on a 500 GB Drive. Due to threatning weather, I shutdown the computer.
Now the OSX Lion does not boot! I have been reading much information on this topic to see about fixing the problem. I talked to Apple Support and so far it is still not working. I was able to boot using the recovery partition "Disk Utility -> First Aid -> Repair Disk". When I ran Repair Disk there were some errors reported and repaired, then OSX still not booting. I installed Lion on another drive using recovery and that works OK. I was hoping to install Lion on the original drive and still not disturb my data files like music, photos, etc. That volume with OSX is greyed out and does not mount. I am thinking that the GPT had been modified and since Windows was not installed on Bootcamp, there is no way to boot on the original drive /dev/disk2. I read about a backup GPT, so I am wondering if I can use the backup GPT to fix the boot problem.

Thanks for the fast reply. Ill try this again. Did this the first time, but wouldn't boot again. I've since done a,fresh install of Lion, and it created the proper recovery partition. I didn't have this before, because I cloned my old drive, when I upgraded to an SSD drive. Didn't know about the recover partition. Ill try again, and see if I can get it to work.
Just need to figure out the driver situation, with my Nvidia Quadro Mac video. Not worth trying again, if I have to use default generic video drivers.

OSX Lion 10.7.3 and Airport Utility 6 Installation Errors

I tried to run a Software Update and install the latest upgrades but the installation fails for both Airport Utility 6 and OSX Lion 10.7.3 updates. Each time, the update is downloaded succesfully then after the installer runs for a while an error pops up on the screen saying something like "Error: A number of files could not be installed" and all you can do is "ok" it. Nothing gets installed. When downloading JUST Airport Utility 6 from the Apple website to attempt a manual install, I get the following error:
I've tried running Fix Disk Permissions on the drive, and even Rpair Disk, but found no errors of any kind on the disk. My disk has over 300GB of available space. The Mac is a 2011 MacBook Pro 2.3Ghz with 4G RAM, currently running 10.7.2.
I've never had ewrrors with an Apple Software Update before, so this is very strange...
Apple, can you please help, or let us know if there will be a fix forthcoming?

Examination of the system log shows the following error exactly when the update fails:
xpchelper[1030]: could not open dyld map file: (null)
Installer[1166]: The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

I was able to install on an earlier version Mini with OS 10.7.3 and an Intel Core 2 duo.

I purchased OSX Lion from the APP store. The installation failed, but the store says it is installed, which it isn't. Does anyone have an answer to get the APP to re-download the APP?

The APP store has my purchase of OSX Lion marked as "Installed", but it isn't. The installation failed and I'm tring to redownload the OS but cannot because it is marked as installed.

Are you sure that the installation failed, or are you perhaps confused about what happened. It is a 2 step process for Lion. What gets downloaded to your Mac is an installer. Do you find a Lion Installer in the Apps folder on your Mac? If so, double click to open it and follow the on screen instructions to install Lion on your Mac.
Always be sure to back up your Mac before attempting an OS upgrade in case something goes wrong and you loose your entire kit.

I'm no Lion expert, but I believe you can boot from the Recovery partition by pressing the Command and R keys on startup, then reinstall.

Advice please on Installing OSX Lion on a Partition for FCP7

Always best to ask for advice before messing with the Mac!
I have OSX 10.8.5 Mountain Lion installed on my late 2009 27" iMac, I installed that after a recent complete drive failure thinking that a more up to date OS would be a good idea, in part it was but my most valuable application FCP 7 Studio behaves oddly now especially with key commands and some timeline functions are screwy. So I want to install OSX Lion on a partition on the HD and run FCP7 on that partition. FCP 7 behaved just fine under Lion.
I have made a 700 gig partition on the iMac's HD, and I do have an installation copy of OSX Lion that I downloaded from my App Store account. That is at the moment on my regular iMac's Mountain Lion partition in the Applications folder. I also have a copy of it on an external drive.
So my question is how can I install Lion on the newly created partition, and do so safely? What are the procedures for this?
I have my FCP 7 Studio disks so I will be able to reinstall that on the new Lion partition afterwards.
I'd appreciate any step by step help or pointers to where I can find those instructions. Having messed up with the iMac last month I am nervous about just diving into this without " professional help"!

OSX LION IS BROKEN

Dear Apple, sorry to hear about Steve, but seriously... fix OSX Lion, my 4 year old iMac died 2 days after I installed Lion on it and then I bought a new one cause it was going to cost nearly $900 to fix and everyday, permission issues, freezes, itunes and 30 other apps randomly stop working, I am over it I feel like I am running a Windows machine, I am afraid to restart my iMac incase I get a black screen with continuous lines of Unix coded sprawled across the screen again. After 7 new installs, both a series of upgrades from Leopard and fresh Lion installes, the machine feels like it is a 10 year old computer, iMac 27inc 1 month old with 16gig ram should be like lightining. Also my Macbook Pro doesn't connect to wireless automatically after coming out of sleep anymore, fix this also please.

I understand that, well after Apple care ran me through all the things I said I had done (I swear they must think that a ex IT technician has no Idea on how to use a Mac) I told her that there was definitely a Hard Drive issue, all the errors and re formats are caused by Hardware failure. Simple. Easy Send a Tech out to replace a new one, as I work from home and have no car, you thought Apple would of done something like that for me. She told me to take it back to and Authorised Repairer.
So I ended up taking it back to my local reseller from which I purchased it and they kept it for a week. When I rang back there said there is nothing wrong with it (after they did a hardware test) and they said they just recovered the lion install and everything is fine.
So got the computer home finally, same thing, I haven't had to re-install yet (fingers crossed), but randomly Skype or iTunes will not open, and spew thousands of lines of code errors at me. So I repair permissions and WOW... seems like every file on the computer is stuffed and needs repairing. Then I restart and some other program stops working randomly. Oh and when I restart the computer boots with the "Safe Mode" progress bar at the bottom of the screen.
I have Apple Care, I am trying to run my home business and this is just so annoying, I have never had any problems with any of the operating systems in the last 5 years or Apple hardware, I just feel like they are selling out their quality.

Next problem is that when moving through the installer and get to custom install, as I only want to install iDVD and iWeb, I am presented with the option to install iDVD, Sounds & Jingles and iWeb, but not sure what is going on with the other 3 options iLife Support etc, they seem to be greyed out but still look like they may install over the top of the newer versions already on my imac. Is it ok for me to just go ahead and hit install? Or do I have a problem?

Yep, just install iDVD (plus sounds and jingles) and iWeb if you want it (but note that iWeb apparently won't work if you upgrade to Mountain Lion).
Then use Software Update to get any late iDVD updates.
