OSX Mail account setup window will not accept imap input

When trying to add icloud account to OSX Mail the input dialoge that is automatically sent from iclould to set up the account does appear in the account setup page. But the receiving Imap field remains grey even though the correct information is there (greyed) so when I go to save it refuses because there is no entry in that field. It could be that I am living in China at the moment I have 2 other email addresses that I have trouble receiving mail from so I redirected every thing to icloud because that was the only one I could rely on but now that doesnt work either. All sorts of corrupted keychain entries pop up as well with lots of extra attributes allowing access to many applications. I have deleted them. It would seem that when I access my mail account s via safari the login pops up a second time but looking closely I find Iam already logged in. So I click the another page to avoid it. I feel that there is more to it. I even reinstalled OSX Lion.
My Ipad is not so affected but still delays and missing rerouted emails.

Have u access to the old email address? If not and you fail the apple security process then you need to call them

Cannot log in to Windows; will not accept password

Shutdown my Windows 8.1 tablet last night normally with no unusual issues. Will not accept the password this am. Have checked to see that correct pword was entered.

I am having the same problem. Have a Satellite C55-B5240 running Windows 8.1 that is only 2 weeks old. Shut down last night and this morning cannot get past the log in screen. Checked and rechecked the caps, the password, even went on to another computer and changed the password 6 times. I can get on with any of the other pc's but not the new one. On-line-chatted with Microsoft and spoke to 3 different techs. They all said the same things...it was beyond their expertise and I should contact Toshiba, get the Windows 8.1 key from them, and reload 8.1!! Very funny. I can't even get online let alone download anything. They were no help whatsoever! Spent 2 1/2 hours on chat with them. I don't know what to do other than call Toshiba on Monday.

Can anyone tell me if the apple ID area of the site is having issues? I have tried most of the day to change my apple ID in "manage your account" and it will not accept or allow me to change it. This is irritating since it now requires an email address

Can anyone advise if apple is having issues with the APPLE ID portion of their site? I have been trying all afternnon to update my apple id from "Manage your account". It will not allow a revision with the instructions given. THis is most irritating since with the new update your apple ID must now be your email address which is incredibly old and I would certainly like to change it to my current email address!
You have the option to do that but THAT OPTION is also not working at this time.

I am having the same problems. Firstly found out that I had a duplicate email address on two apple ids so I fixed that but now it wont let me verify the email address. When I click on "verify email address" nothing happens. So frustrating cos cant set up Facetime or iMessage on my iPad.

I entered a mistake in my passcode and now the passcode window will not accept my correct passcode. What can I do?

since i upgraded to ipad 7 ( i think thats what it was) i have been required to put in a passcode every time I open up. ( This is extremely annoying!!) Now since I entered my passcode ( why does it have to suddenly be called a passcode and not password ... as if its not bad enough to have "passwords", IDs,etc etc!!) with an incorrect letter included in it the ipad will not accept my correct password. I am unable to access settings of course so I just do not know what to do. Can someone more ipad litereate than I help me.

iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode

After installing CS4 Master Suite on new Windows 7 X64 laptop, Premier Pro new projects window will not accept input.

I'm migrating my CS4 Master Suite to a new computer. The new system is a Dell M3800 running Windows 7 x64. Install goes fine except for a failure on Flash install. Once install is complete Premier Pro won't accept any input on the New Projects window. You can click on the file name field and change it but that's about it. No buttons will function. If you change the name and leave the field you can not change it again. No further input is accepted and the actual change you made isn't applied. You can exit out of the window with the X. You can also go to an existing project no problem. All other applications seem to be working fine.
Tried uninstall and cleanup and reinstall. Problem does not change. Made sure anti-virus and firewall were disabled before install. No other applications are running during install.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The "none of your preferred networks are available" setup window will not close

I (obviously) am set up on the internet but there is a setup window that stays on top of the screen saying none of my preferred networks are available and will not go away. My mouse will not click in it to cancel, choose a network etc. How do I get rid of this?

Is this in system preferences/networks? If so try a force quit press OPTION COMMAND ESC from the menu that pops up select the offender and clcik force quit.
Try rebooting.

Have 2 ipod but windows will not accept my new ipod shuffle!

I aleady have a ipod mini set up on my computer which is fine,i have also now got a ipod suffle wich windows xp is saying that it has found a new divice but when i go to install it it says that it is not windows logo tested and that i sould stop the intallation. i have no idea what to do please could someone help me :)?

It may be the encryption method your router is using. I know that an iPod will not connect to a router that is using simple WEP encryption. Make sure you are using some form of WPA.

When adding an email account my ipone will not accept my password

I am having trouble adding an email account to my phone. I had to get a new one and restore it to the last backup. However it will not take my password which i know is correct because I can sign in via the internet. Is there a trick or someway to solve this?

Which email provider are you using? If it's google, make sure you don't have 2-step verification set on your account.

Yes, I could play cd's. Through the process of my drive failing I learned that cd and dvd use separate lasers in the drive mechanism. The second sign I noticed was I could no longer burn dvd's, both iDVD and Toast would just stop doing anything before the disc was done. It got progressively worse to the point that as soon as I inserted ANY dvd it would spit it right back out. I hope that your problem isn't the drive failing, if it isnI hope your under warranty or Apple Care....I don't have any idea how much it would cost to have it replaced.

Here is the entire problem. 1. on my contact page built with Flash CS5, I try to enter text into the boxes. Only the characters c,l,o,n,t will actually type. Nothing else enters. What did i do wrong? 2. I can't for the life of me, make a pretty flash link work to go to another URL. /facepalm . I would love some help and/advice (besides delete flash and use frontpage 95.) I haven't taken a look at the file yet, but here are some things you might want to try in the meantime.
For the text box issue, did you embed the font you're using? Sometimes that can cause character display issues. Just go to embed font
in the properties of the text box. For the gotourl, make sure it has www before it, so the link would be

Description:    can be whatever description you prefer, it can be something as simple as ‘GMail’

Server Monitor Notification will NOT accept an outgoing email address

Hi folks. I have a new XServer Xeon. Everything is working great, except for one maddening issue: When I use Server Monitor and go to set up notifications, the "send to" field will NOT accept any input at all...whether it's a bonafide email address or just any old text typing. Nada. I can seem to enter all other info like the "from" field, and the buttons work....just can't add any addresses to send notifications to. Any ideas? I'm hoping this is a "duh" moment for me and not a real issue.

I have quite a few Xserve's (G4, G5) running Email notification from Server monitor without mail services running.
It appears to be a problem with the new Intel's version of Server monitor, I cannot get SM to accept any email addresses either, it will also not remember other settings between launches.
I have submitted a bug report with Appple through ADC on this.
FYI if you setup lights out management on another IP on Xserve and connect server monitor to that IP from another machine you can add email addresses but when hardware events occur on Xserve no emails are sent!
So IMHO server monitor V1.5 is broken right now, only good for manually monitoring the hardware.
If I get an answer from Apple I will post it in this category
