OSX Mavericks endless iCloud error message

Since the download I have been getting an error message every 2 seconds that my computer can not connect with iCloud. I am having no issue with iCloud just the error message. How do I make it stop?
Thanks

OK, here's my story:
I re-installed OS X using the re-install partition. When that was done, Mail.app still had a problem. I noticed that my email address was entered as "me.com" instead of "mac.com", but changing it did not seem to work. Then I saw that I had a bunch of old alias email addresses that I don't use anymore, so I deleted all of those, and after that I had a pull-down menu of email addresses to choose from. I chose the "mac.com" address. At first it didn't seem that anything was happening, but when I went back to Mail.app I saw that my mailboxes were being re-filled, slowly. This process continues as I write, but the problem seems to be solved. How, I'm not sure.
It is definitely maddening, however, when Mail says to delete the iCloud account from System Prefs and System Prefs says to delete it from Mail and that pop-up window keeps popping up repeatedly. I did not find this to be a user-friendly experience.

  • Trying to upgrade to osx mavericks, but keep getting message that apple ID is disabled?

Hi, When I try to download my free upgrade to osx Mavericks, I get a message that "We could not complete your request. there was an error in the App store. Please try again later. (100)". When I click the OK on that message, I get another message that my "apple ID is disabled, and it points me to the itunes support URL." I can't tell you how many times I have resubmitted a new iTunes password.
Is this happening to others? What should I do?
    Appreciate your help.

Sometimes they can disable it due to perceived fraudulent activity. You may need to call AppleCare to determine if that is the case.

  • After trying to install Mavericks, got an error message my hard drive was bad.

After trying to install Mavericks, got an error message my hard drive was bad.  Took it in to the Apple Store and the 'Genius' bar guy couldn't see it as an external drive when he connected another Macbook. If I get another hard drive what's involved in getting my system operational again?

    Hi there
Looks like I may be experiencing a similar issue to yours as having issues installing Maverick on snow leopard?

  • . I have an iCloud error message on the screen.

The screen on my iPad is frozen. The hard reset does not reboot the iPad. I have an iCloud error message on the screen. That I can't get rid of.

Thank you. I had tried this before with no success. However, I tried it again. The problem is I don't know who to reboot without a keyboard. I can't get to the on screen key board with the screen locked up.
The error message I get is   "  iCloud Backup      This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when the iPad is plugged in, locked and connected to Wi-Fi" at the bottom of the message is an OK button.
Now with the iPad removed from the keyboard:the screen will stay lit for about 5 seconds and then go blank. Turning power off and on brings up a blank screen with the iCloud message and the slide to unlock. Touching the OK button causes a brief flutter of the button. Trying to slide the slide to unlock accomplishes nothing, since it won't slide.
The battery was at 49% when the problem occurred. I have since recharged the battery to 100%. I  tried earlier to reboot with the iPad connected to AC.
Again, thank you for your suggestions.

I have a 2013 iMac, with OS X version 10.8.5.  Have been trying to download OS X version 10.9 (OS X Mavericks) without success; error message "we could not complete your purchase, the product distribution file could not be verified, etc".  Please help; TQ

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • ICloud error message-"YOU CAN'T SIGN IN AT THIS TIME. TRY SIGNING IN AGAIN".

Can't get ICloud to work on Mac. Always get error message saying "YOU CAN'T SIGN IN AT THIS TIME. TRY SIGNING IN AGAIN". Been trying for weeks but with no success. Upgraded to Maverick 10.9.1 just to have use of Icloud but so far nothing. Any suggestions?

  • An iCloud error message keeps appearing since I upgraded to OS X 10.10

Ever since I changed from Mavericks to Yosemite the error message below keeps appearing on my MBP.
It appears three or four times each day, but when I do the only thing there is an option for, all my iCloud Preferences seem to be correct.
Is the problem likely to be with my MBP, my iCloud account itself or my broadband connection? The crossed out details on the error message of course refer to my email address. This is also my Apple ID, so am I correct in assuming that it isn't likely to be a problem with that email account?
If I do nothing and dismiss the error message it doesn't seem as if iCloud has a problem at all, and it appears to work okay.
The error message is getting a bit annoying now.

  • ICloud : error message when trying to delete iPhone 4 back up

Just wondering if any one else is having this problem. I got my new iphone 4S in the mail yesterday. I went on my older iPhone 4 and did a iCloud back up of it. The only snag I have hit thus far is its still downloading photos. Which does not bother me at all. The thing that I have not figured out is why ever time I try and delete the older 840MB back up of my iPhone 4 it gives me a error message. That says CANNOT DELTE BACK UP This backup can not be deleted at this time. With the option of try again or ok.
I can delete the backup of the new iPhone 4S no problem. The only solution I have not tryed would be restoring my old iPhone 4 deleting it from there and then going back to my iPhone 4S. Would love to know if any one else is having simular issues. And if so how they trouble shot it.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
Almost a year later and I'm experiencing this exactly situation now.
I was in the middle of the process of data migration from iPhone 4 to 4S and due to really slow download speed restoring iCloud backup, I interrupted the process and started a new full restore process through USB and iTunes (reset all setting and configurations on the 4S and did a local machine backup of the old 4 and asked to restore from that).
After a full successful restore process, I'm trying to delete the old iPhone 4 2GB backup in iCloud and the error message saying that "this backup cannot be deleted because its being used to restore another device, or backup is currently in progress".
Of course I ran out of spece (iPad, old iPhone 4 and new iPhone 4S backups) and I tried everything, disabling iCloud, deleting from my MBP, from iPad, and no success.
I cannot restore the old 4 and deactivate iCloud backup because I don't have this phone anymore, probably it's already in use by another person.
    PS: iOS6, Mountaing Lion
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • Icloud error message

I get an error message when installing iCloud on my PC HResult 0x8007054F

I called Microsoft and they stepped me through the update process with my PC and had no luck finding an answer. I searched the net and was directed toward a Microsoft partner product SpeedyPC. I ran the software and it repaired whatever registry system error I was having. I now have iCloud up and running.

  • HT1766 Icloud error message saying that there's no backup available to restore from.

I have just backed up my iphone 4 using icloud. It's showing that the backup was completed, 3.5gb total. Now I'm trying to restore this icloud backup on my new iphone 4s and an error message saying that there's no icloud backup appears. What' wrong? Thanks in advance!

It was an issue with the system version as long as my old iphone had the 5.1.1 already, so I updated the new one (which came with the 5.0 version), and did a factory reset selecting to use the icloud backup.
