OSX Mountain Lion Dock acts irregularly with PS CS6
When running an action under Photoshop's resize dialogue, from 12mp files down to 1mp files for quicker browsing/proofing, if I move my cursor down to the dock to activate another application, the dock access is slowed down, where I will often click on the wrong app. Anyone else experiencing this? This occurs both on my 2011 iMac with i7 processor and 12gb of memory, and my 2012 Macbook Air. I never had these issues with CS5.
I'm running the latest version of Mountain Lion, and CS6 Bridge and Photoshop.
I've also noticed that the processing of NEF files seems to be rather slow. . though this could be an entirely different category. . . any suggestions?

All owners of the model seem to have the same problem. Presently there is no 10.8.2 updater for your model. The previous updater has been pulled. Wait a while and one will show up when Apple gets it fixed.

OSX Mountain Lion isn't working with my Macbook white A1181

Please.First we need to know which one of the 9 different models of MacBook you have. The A1181 is simply any of the 6 white or black MacBooks with the user removable battery. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
The Early 2006 model 1,1 Core Duo can only run a maximum of 10.6 Snow Leopard.
The models Late 2006 Core 2 Duos 2,1 through Early 2008 4,1 can only run a maximum of 10.7 Lion.
The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody through the Mid 2010 White Unibody model 7,1 can run 10.8 Mountain Lion. -
just bough OSX Mountain Lion, my laptop operating with v10.6.8. Can't install OSX Mountain Lion, on the disk selection screen i cant select the Macintosh HD to install OSX giving a message (This disk cannot be used to start up your computer).only have one disk to select and my partition map scheme is GUID partition table. 24.44gb disk available.

Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
Open Disk Utility and verify the drive is partitioned using GUID and formatted Mac OS Extended, Journaled. If it is then do this:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
Now try installing Mountain Lion. -

See if your friend will let you access the App Store, where you can sign in using your Apple ID and download the installer. Cisco Connect does not run with Mac OSX Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
When I first installed Cisco Connect that came with my E1500 router, I was running Mac OSX Snow Leopard (10.7) and it worked fine. I upgraded my OSX to Mountain Lion and now when I start Cisco Connect, I get:
Unsupported operating system
The router software supports these operating systems:
- Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later
- Mac OS X 10.6.1 or later
- Mac OS X 10.7 or later
I saw some other thread/info/download on Cisco Connect with Lion (10.7) but nothing for Moutain Lion (10.8) - is there a fix forthcoming?

GaryAll i want to do is disable the guest function through cisco. i live in an apartment and everyone logs into my guest account. i was at my neighbours and they were laughing saying they done need to subscribe for the internet cause they just log onto local wi fi. and mine is one of them. i dont know if that'll slow down my internet with so many people using it. but all i want to do is just avoid it all together and get rid of it. but in this case i am having the same problem as all of you. to disable the guest function you need to go through cisco connect and it is not compatible with mac osx mountain lion. grrrrrrr

Problems with a Game - Should I update to OSX Mountain Lion?
Howdy,
To cut a long story short and get straight to the point I've been having problems with the Sims 3 for god knows how long and its starting to drive me mad. What I'm now wondering is whether updating to OSX Mountain Lion would help at all. The reason I've asked this is because I read a post by someone that said the only way to update your video card (which might be causing the problem) would be to upgrade the whole operating system.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
