OSX RDP v8.0.24308 Default Resolution/No Fullscreen for new connections

I would like to set defaults so that any new connection I create always are set to No Fullscreen, a specific Resolution, and a specif Color-Depth.  I should not have to change this for all new connections.

Hi,
As far as I know, it does not have the Global Setting, we have to configure the settings separately for every connections.
Thanks for your understanding and I will forward your concern to the product team.

  • How do i set a default group (not staff) for new files?

by default, new files created from within applications appear to be assigned group "staff", regardless of the folder in which they are being created.
i want new files to inherit the group of the folder in which they are being created. if i create a new file from the terminal command-line, this works. note that it also works when creating new folders from the finder and "save as" dialogue boxes.
how do i get this to work for new files saved from all applications?
    thanks.

I usually use the .NET method myself, but if I were forced to poll I would do something like this.  I use a variant to hold the list of filenames.  I would only poll the folder info, when it has been modified then do the Folder List.  Any new files are spotted when the variant attribute does not exist (Replace = FALSE), and this is added to the array.

  • Default user settings template for new IDs

    Hello,
I would like to set the default language in the User Master record (SU3 / SU01) to 'EN' for new IDs.  It is currently blank when a new user is created.   Where are the User default settings defined for Language?
    Thank you,

We did it in one of our system by creating a transaction variant that defaults to EN. We had a issue with MM/DD/YYYY though even with the transaction variant.
Actually there is a paramter zcsa/moddatfm ( Parameter for Default date format when creating users with transactions SU01 ). By default its value is 1 for DD.MM.YYYY and it has to be changed to 2 for MM/DD/YYYY.

  • Setting default "Initial View" options for new PDFs

I usually want most of the PDFs I create to open with the pages panel displayed and “fit to window”. Currently I open every PDF and change that in the document properties under “Initial View”, save and close.
There must be a better way.
Is it possible to set this as the default for all newly created PDFs as part of the job options definition?
I've searched in the different settings panes, but to no avail.
    Any hints appreciated.

The Initial View (IV) settings are not part of the options when creating a new PDF, either in Acrobat or Distiller.
There are several options to apply IV depending on the version of Acrobat you're using. You can create an Action in Acrobat X which applies IV to any open file as per your requirements, and optionally saves it as well. In Acrobat 9 or earlier you can do a similar thing with a batch process sequence.
If you need to attach IV as part of the creation process then you can use an "epilogue.ps" script to add commands which Distiller will append to the PDF, and link that PS file to one of Distiller's presets.

  • Default Resolution of new image

For other reasons I have to do a lot of preference-trashing, opening PS with Shft+Ctrl+Alt to delete the preferences file. What I am finding is that the default resolution of a new file is only 72 dpi.
WFound the place where screen and print resolutions are set. I have both set at 300 dpi. Still, when I create a new image the resolution is only 72.
Would you please show me where the default resolution of a new document is set.

File>New look for resolution and type in 300. As long as you don't select a preset, the 300 ppi will stick even if you close photoshop. This should be true for all versions, but I can only test in CS5.

  • IdeaPad S10e, How to recover default resolution?

I opened "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver For Mobile". Then I adjusted some resolution because I was adding some USB TV tuner to the computer and when the application was started, the application told I should choose resolution 800x600 or better. When I chose this, I found out the windows does not fit into the screen anymore. Now the problem is that the default resolution for this laptop can not be recovered anymore. How can it be done?

    Hi
I got one Ideapad S10 but SetS10e.exe and setxga.exe on the desktop utility does not work. Have you any idea?

It might be worth asking for them.

  • Can I change the default resolution to minimize buffering?

Can I change the default resolution to minimize buffering?

This is a function of the server and content, not the player itself.  You'll have to do this through the different video players (YouTube, Vimeo, Hulu, etc.)

  • Non-default resolution problem

I understand that the default resolution for the MacBook is 1280 x 800. I find this hard to read (my eyes are rather old) and would like to set 1152 x 720 but this gets somewhat blurry, letters are not sharp, etc. like it is slightly out of focus. Is there any way to make a lower resolution look as sharp as the default?

This is the problem with LCD monitors. The way the pixels are set up on LCD's their is only one good resolution for it. Unfortunately the multi task people want more desktop room and so the resolutions have been going up. You can however go in and increase text size through Universal access in system preferences or if it's just Safari you want you can limit how small of font to render their too.
As far as resolution your stuck with the native resolution of the monitor unless you want a bit of the fuzziness that goes along with a different one.

  • Setting the default resolution for sap logon

    Hi, ALL!
I'm terribly tired of SAP interface. It's so uncomfortable for work.
For example maybe you know khow to set the default resolution for sap logon to make it use its widgets of proper size. e.g. when i work with transfer rules, it has only half of screen for useful area (i use 1400x1050), and right part is just empty, but on the left very many small fields and you should constantly use scrollbars (i think you know it well). Maybe there is system customizing for this purpose.

    Hello Dmitry,
There is no customizing for this - atleast to my knowledge.
However, you should have to redo the settings again and again unless you are continuously re-sizing the main window.
    Cheers

  • Changing default resolution on XVR-100

For the life of me I cannot find out how to fix this.
I have a XVR-100 installed in a V440. I am unable to administer it via our KVM because the default resolution is way to high. When I change it, it of course screws up the screen and I have to reboot. fbconfig is not setting my desired resolution as the default.

That resolution is unsupported for me. How do I tell oenwindows to use 1024x768 with a 60hz refresh?
    Thanks

From the provided information, I cannot tell whether you are using the HD15 or the DVI port. Furthermore, it is somewhat unusual to be using pfb1 unless you have more than one XVR-100 installed.
By default, the system will probably be looking at /dev/fb. Let's get the Sun to redo the video devices (this will trigger a reboot). Do this as root:
    rm -rf /dev/fbs; rm /dev/fb*; touch /reconfigure; init 6
Do not try to use devfsadm for this step! Do the reboot!
When the system comes up, you should have a newly discovered video tree with your XVR-100 as the default video card pointed at by /dev/fb. If you have multiple video cards then you have more complex commands, but I am going to move forward assuming the simple case of one video card using HD15. If you are using a DVI connection or have more video cards, make appropriate changes to the following (PS: I do not read these boards often so you cannot count on me responding to a follow-up).
Let's set the video mode first. Do this as root:
    eeprom output-device=screen:r1024x768x60
fbconfig -res VESA_STD_1024x768x60 try nowThe screen will get distorted, but as long as you get a screen, agree to take the setting and reboot the system. When the system returns, you should have the lower resolution. This probably does not solve your (implied) color problem, though.
To fix the color we need to change the configuration DT configuration. I am assuming that you have no configuration for DT. These steps may obliterate an existing configuration.
    mkdir -p /etc/dt/config
cp /usr/dt/config/Xservers /etc/dt/configModify the last non-blank line in /etc/dt/config/Xservers by appending this to the end:
-dev /dev/fb defdepth 24The modified line would look something like this:
:0   Local local_uid@console root /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun :0 -nobanner -dev /dev/fb defdepth 24Reboot the system again and when it comes up, everything should be fine.

  • Default resolution for books enough?

    Hello,
I haven't ordered a book in quite a while and in some older versions of iPhoto it was recommended to increase the default resolution (using a plist editor) before buying a book. Is that still a good idea in iPhoto 08?
    Murray =:-)

    Murray:
It's not necessary in iPhoto 08 because the preferences have been changed for the new version, setting the default at 300 dpi.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Change default resolutions provided by ML

    Hi folks,
I'm having an issue at the office that kind of upset me. Basically, PC users laungh at Mac user not being able to display correctly on plasma's meeting room.
They have a native resolution of 1280x768 and this is basically what I want to use.
The problem is that this resolution is not proposed by the system in Monitors. Why is that ? My thought is that the TV is connected through VGA then YUV components cable, and that wouldn't surprised me the EDI informations does not make the way to the mac to announce supported resolutions, so the mac sees a "VGA Display" and proposes a set of default resolutions, this is what I'd like to adjust.
I was able to do this with SwitchResX but I can't ask every mac owner to buy a software to use an external display... those guys are gonna laugh harder !
The TV is a Pioneer pdp-505-cmx
Changing the connection to the screen is not an option, the cable passes from behind the wall to the floor and the meeting room table to a VGA connector.
Please answer if you really know what you're talking about and avoid "Open System Preferences and choose a resolution" !

Thanks... I don't know how that helps me tho !
I don't know hos windows is able to determine a correct resolution, but it can, and it works like a charm !
I still need to send the right resolution to the plasma, and rectangle shaped pixels in plasma monitor is not uncommon at all !
I should add that I tried every resolution provided by Mac OS X and none of them looks right (either pixelized, shaggy, wrong aspect ratio and so on...)
The only thing that worked is sending 1280x768 using SwitchResX. Even the aspect ratio looks good to me.
Here are the spec of the monitor :

  • Default Resolution

What is Mac OS X 10.4.10's default resolution?

Default resolution is dependent upon the monitor not OS X. What Mac model or display to you have? Look in the User Guide for the monitor's technical data and you should find what it's native resolution is.

  • Set default resolution

Hi, I have 6 headless xserves and need to set the default resolution to a different one, if I remember correctly it defaults to 800 x 600. anyone know how to do this? because there is no display attached i get a limited range of resolutions available.

I would like to add that this was happening to me but I didn't know it.  When I synched clips (Canon 5D 1080P 23.98 with separate audio) and I double clicked the clip or cut it into a timeline, I noticed it was rendering (with the redish orange above the timeline). Could not figure out what it was rendering. Now I know. It was rendering the clip in the background to 720p.
When I change the resolution to 1080p like you say, it doesn't have to render anymore.  I haven't figured out why it is doing this nor how to change the default. But I'll post if I figure it out.
