OT: Calling on Vista & Tablet users for help
Hi there.
Vistia Ultimate (SP1 plus updates), Wacom Graphite 2 Tablet (latest software) and PS CS3.
Thank you so long for your help.
I have formatted my HDD, installed and activated all my software and still having huge problems. I also have Office 2007 installed.
It happens now that when I open Outlook, I het a VERY annoying message telling me the following:
"Microsoft Windows Search Protocol Host was closed". This message ONLY pops up when opening Outlook 2007 and while it is opened; NEVER when Outlook is closed.
I have Googled this message extensively as well as looking for answers on Microsoft's website. The closest I could get, was MS sending me a "Hotfix" saying the cause of this message is that Vista has some difficulty recognising for Outlook the hand writing from the tablet. Funny this is that I NEVER use my tablet for writing.
What I cannot understand, is that I have never had this message popping up in the ±12 months I have moved to Vista. I have started receiving this message after I had to replace my HDD and installed all the software that was on my old HDD. From what I can remember, the only thing I have done different to the initial installation, was that I installed SP1 from a VD and not from an online update. Can this be the reason?
I am really hoping for some direction from someone here who use a table together with Vista and Outlook 2007. I am on the brinck of dusting of my XP Professional case and install XP. I never had these kind of problems with XP.

Hi, need help. Safari app working fine until just now. Webpage not appearing and when trying to open the app, its a white page. Like you see pages, bookmark, the search tab, but when trying to press any of the buttons, it is unresponsive. When i try to go to setting to see if the problem can be fix, my safari setting isn't open either. I try going to icloud and try to turn off and on the safari data, in hopes that it would work. Nothing. I have done reseting network, and currently resetting all setting to see if this will work. I also did a soft restart, hard restart, turn on and off the phone multiple times. All other apps are responsive but safari. My itunes won't let me sync my phone and in order for me to do that, i would have to reset phone to factory setting, which would be a last option for me.
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
No data is lost due to a reset. -

I need help, i tried locating my son's ipod, which was in our house yesterday afternoon, in Utah. But now the ifind says it is in Calgary. We never left our home yesterday.
- For location the iPod uses the location of a nearby router that is in Apple's database. The iPod does not have to be connect to that router to use its location but it has to be connected to a network to report back the the location to via iCloud.
- Before you lost the iPod did the iPod correctly locate itself on the Map app?
- Have your tried having the iPod play a sound and listen for the sound? That is an option in FimdMyiPone in iCloud.com. -

I need to create one connection between PI and SAP, all right, i can use RFC Adapter Receiver, no problem.
But, for each call i need to use User and Password different, then, I would pass SAP User and Password in my XML Payload.

sure we can help you but no in this way:)
it is possible to change the user for RFC adapter but using
principal propagation:
/people/alexander.bundschuh/blog/2007/01/16/principal-propagation-in-sap-xi
this is the way you need to go and not send password in XML payload
(this is certainly not the way and no client will approve it)
why use a password is anyone can see it ?

Hi All,
Can we have use different user IDs to make RFC calls to SAP? Do we have option to call RFC using different users like DEV1, DEV2 etc which is specific to the user logging in to MII. This is required to maintain the change history record while posting data back to SAP
As per the current set up its always user which is configured in SAP server editor in MII, makes the change in SAP.
Any input is appreciable

It is like passing any other parameter to your BLS.
For example :
1.In your BLT, create 2 trx params
UserName,Password.
In your Jco Action Block assign these params in the Links Tab of the action.
2. Create a xAcute Query Template wrapping this BLS transaction.Set Param1 as UserName and Param2 as Password.
3. Now in your frontpage screen, create an iCommand applet wrapping the above xAcute Query Template.
4. In your screen have 2 input fields to enter username and password.
In the "OnClick()" event, use the setParam() method to set the values from the Input fields.

How to use an authenticated user for a proxy call

I am currently working on a JEE application where the user needs to authenticate (for this I have configured the web.xml).
Now inside this application I need to do a proxy call to a PI webservice.
I would like to use the user credentials of the already logged in user in order to call the proxy.
What I don't want to do is to use a service user for the proxy call.
The code I am trying to call looks something like this:

from the first screenshot, what I understood is that, you are calling an inbound PI web service that is intended to create an integrated configuration object (this is used for whole lot of other reason completely) but not actually calling a development web service.
For this, you would have to generate your client classes from the WSDL provided by the PI developer for that particular service. Once you get those client classes generated, you could used the method provided in the other screenshot to extract the user and password and call the intended web service.

I bought a iPhone and I was able to log into my iCloud with no problem and when I tried to update it it kicked me out and now it's asking me for the old apple user please help what can I do...?
Contact the original owner, and ask them to remove the device from their icloud.

Form A calling Form B, can I prompt the user for parameters?
I'm in the learning curve for Oracle Forms. I have one form that is little more than a menu of buttons that each call other forms. Let's say for the sake of argument that I have a button marked "Quarterly Report". I believe I have to put a call_form('quarterly_rpt_parms.fmx') on that button. The quarterly_rpt_parms form would just be plain with a single field the user fills in (quarterly ending date) and another button that issues a call_form('quarterly_rpt_view.fmx').
Is there a built in method of prompting the user for that date, rather than create a separate form just for that purpose?

DarrenYou can very easily put a prompt for the date on the top line of your Quarterly Report form, or you could put it in the form, but on a separate canvas, which would show only when the form starts. Once the user enters the date and clicks the report button, you could show the report canvas and hide the input canvas.
...and you don't need the '.fmx' in the call_form. -
Never once has my phone updated without deleting everything. It says "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes. I can't call for help because my phone is frozen on the screen with iTunes. On line live chat won't chat until I give them my serial number which I can't get to because its frozen and can't call for the same reason!! Omg! Someone please help me!?
