Anybody who regularly works with fonts should get a good
laugh out of this
short video. (Have you ever wondered what a font would look
like if it were
a person...??)

  • Ibooks author, how do I get the standard book pages background into my document. I have published one book so far which does not display with a book pages background or options for font size.

    ibooks author, how do I get the standard book pages background into my document. I have published one book so far which does not display with a book pages background or options for font size.

    No on the book title, no problem there.
    The issue is: my book pages appear as on white paper, no background that resembles a open book and also no option to change fonts. The book was created in iBooks author, there was a problem going with the "Publish" menu route so I was instructed my Apple to "export" the file and submit that. I think that's the problem after reading that iBooks author is a hybrid epub file.
    Thanks for getting back to me.

  • Font in SVG file is not displayed correctly. "Error in parsing value for 'font-size'. Declaration dropped."

    I am trying to view an SVG file but it is unreadable because the font in the diagram is too large.
    In the Firefox error console, I see a CSS error:
    Error in parsing value for 'font-size'. Declaration dropped.
    What's happening?
    (Please cc your reply to [email protected])

    Firefox's Error Console (Ctrl+Shift+J) collects lots of those style rule warnings. Some style rules only work in particular browsers (such as "filter" which is for IE), so Firefox notes that it doesn't recognize them. This information is more for the web developer's benefit than yours, since you can't do much to change the site.
    To see serious errors and filter out the style warnings, click the Errors button at the top. Hopefully a lot less clutter.
    Anyway, are you asking because something isn't working correctly?

  • Changing the predefined sap logo and whats the px value for font size

    Hi,
    I am  unable to remove a Sap logo on ajax fwk: masthead . I want to replace my logo with that sap logo .
    but when i  try to set url to logo to that image .it doesn' change.
    Help me to resolve the problem
    and whats the px value for font size more than 10

    Hi,
    The URL to set logo  should work when you edit it in the correct theme. Usually cache issues prevent us from seeing the desired result. By Clearing cache your issue should get resolved. Otherwise if need be you can edit the com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead par file and define the manner in which you want your logo to be displayed in the masthead. Download the par file and open it in NWDS. Search for "logo" keyword you will find it. Edit the current image and upload the PAR file again.

  • Flash Player and Ascender Compact Asian Fonts file format for fonts

    Hi all,
    Looks like ACAF file format for fonts has significant advantages in terms of memory to display CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) characters presumably if embedded into SWF file.
    http://www.ascendercorp.com/pr/2006-10-05/
    Are there any plans to extend next Flash Player versions targeted at mobile phones to support this proprietary font file format?

    I've included also a much more simple example without the xml
    and the font symbol, only the class and a movieclip from the
    library, but I can't still see it on flash player 10
    http://www.forestonfire.com/research/flash/fontproblem/simplyfied.zip
    I have no clue about this problem.

  • Suitcase Fusion 3 for fonts slowing down Illustrator?

    I'm working on a PC in windows 7 and using CS5. I have Extensis Suitcase Fusion 3 for font management but someone told me that this may be why my Illustrator in particular is so slow. I frequently have to sit and wait for it to catch up to me while the top title bar says "Not responding".
    Can anyone comment on this? I don't want to give up my suitcase font manager - I really like it. Surely these programs can get along??

    Sorry that Illustrator is being slow for you. If you think that that Suitcase is causing the problem. I would do two things.
    1. Ensure that your version of Suitcase was built to work with your version of Illustrator.
    http://www.extensis.com/downloads/compatibility-guides/suitcase-fusion-compatibility-guide /
    2. If they are compatible, and you still think that it's Suitcase, please contact Extensis support.

  • Is there an additional Typekit charge for fonts with Creative Cloud membership?

    Is there an additional Typekit charge for fonts with Creative Cloud membership?  I am not clear if these are trial fonts or if there will be a charge for using them permanently in Adobe Illustrator CS6.  Thanks for any assistance.

    You don't purchase fonts with Typekit for "permanent use". You're paying a subscription. You either subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud, and as part of the subscription, you can use the fonts as long as you pay your subscription. There is no additional charge. Or, you pay for a subscription to Typekit only.

  • The tool bar is missing for font,size and color for lettering in elements 9

    Iam missing tool bar for font, style and size and color. where is it?

    Are you sure you have the regular horizontal or vertical type tool and not one of the type masks selected? If you choose the type mask tools you see a dotted outline around the T icon instead of a solid T.

  • Getting CoolType invalid font error 'can't fetch cmaps' for font MyriadPro–Regular when adding text box or text callout

    Just updated Acrobat X Pro on Mac to v10.1.10
    Now if I try to add a text box or a text callout (text box with arrow) I get a popup error saying "CoolType invalid font error 'can't fetch cmaps' for font MyriadPro–Regular"
    Any ideas much appreciated.

    Hi oscar18,
    This is usually caused due to corrupt/ invalid font libraries.
    On your Mac, open up 'Font Book' and follow the instructions below:
    Hit Cmd + A to select all fonts as shown above
    Click on File > Validate Fonts
    This will open up the Font Validator that will scan all your fonts and will notify you if there are any corrupt fonts. If you do see any corrupt font libraries, please remove/ delete those fonts from your computer. Then try opening Acrobat and check.
    Regards,
    Rave

  • Can someone please tell me the default Firefox settings for Fonts and sizes (the advanced font settings, too)? I started playing around with mine and now I just want them back to normal, but there's no reset button for fonts, just the zoom features. Help!

    Under "Firefox," "Preferences," and then "Fonts and Colors" there is a setting that I would like to know the default for, as well as all of those that you see when you select the "Advanced" button for Fonts.

    You can see the defaults in a screenshot in this KB article: [[Some text shows up bold after upgrade]]<br />
    You can check the font setting in: Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors: Advanced
    <br />
    Default Font: Times New Roman (16)
    <br />
    Fonts for : Western
    <br />
    Proportional: Serif (16)
    Serif : Times New Roman
    Sans-serif : Arial
    Monospace : Courier New (13)

              else if (object == gBackground) gBackValue.setText(""+gBackground.getValue());
              else if (object == bBackground) bBackValue.setText(""+bBackground.getValue());
              else if (object == rForeground) rForeValue.setText(""+rForeground.getValue());
              else if (object == gForeground) gForeValue.setText(""+gForeground.getValue());
              else if (object == bForeground) bForeValue.setText(""+bForeground.getValue());

    Okay, that's better. It would have been nice if the code was formatted, and if there was about 20% of that code. (Your example could have been just one JLabel and nothing else, for example.)
    Anyway, now that you've posted that code, what is your question about it? I see you are calling a "getAvailableFontFamilyNames" method; do you have a question about that? If so, what is the question?

  • Dialog for font selection

    I need to select font in the application. Is there standart dialog (how in Windows) for font selection in the Java?

    Not in the standard API. But there are a few out there if you search, e.g.

  • Photoshop CS6 Different Groups for Fonts?

    So I was wondering if there is a way to have a different group for a set of fonts.

    In addition to the one TD mentioned, several other font managers allow you to activate and de-activate fonts through a Photoshop plugin. The one I was using is Main Type from High-Logic.
    Here's a nice set of capsule reviews of a number of font managers, for both Windows and Mac.

    Whatever your problem, it won't have anything to do with
    being in an
    editable region. Post a URL to your page and identify the
    problem area.
