(OT) Cron + Backup  + Send email

Hello Forero.
Proposal with ethics ....... Answer with ethics.
The truth that I would like to help me, but since this is
more professional
me
would like to highlight a change for this work.
Whoever it measured?
I need to create a cron within the cPanel which each week I
will generate a
backup email, and database files and I sent him a
Email default. Place the code in each domain Cron
Cpanel, configure and run every week that the backup at each
domain installing, I sent an email to 4 days and then be
eliminated
backup of each domain. The backup should be generated
within the Web site or within the space of each domain.
Example
dominioXXXX.com / www / public_html / copy_security
Someone can do?
Makes clear negotiation
I change it to 10 GB of hosting without admin. WHM for
unlimited
domains. for 1 year.
After 1 year alone canceled $ 120 per unlimited domains,
email and
database.

Hola Foreros.
Propuesta con ética....... Respuesta con ética.
La verdad me gustaría que me ayudaran, pero como esto es
mas profesional me

  • Getting backup battery to send email alerts....?

Hello! I've got an APC RS1500 UPS hooked up to my Mac Mini server running 10.6.
Obviously, I've already used System Preferences to configure how we want the battery to manage the power to the machine in the event of an outage. But since APC's PowerChute software (which, from what I understand, used to have the ability to send email alerts in such a case) only works up until about 10.4 until they started implementing the native support we have "lost" the ability for the server to send out an email alert whenever should there be a power issue.
So far, I've found no native way to do this within OSX and the APC software that used to do this for you is no longer supported on 10.5 or 10.6.....how can we do this?
I'm looking for something, anything, really to just get the server to send me an email should the power go down. Terminal command, Automator workflow, AppleScript, third party software....whatever.
    Just....something?
Surely there are other people out there running Mac servers on a battery backup with some kind of notification system in place?
    Thanks in advance.

Pingdom does what you are asking for.  It detects the web server outage.  It sends email, SMS or a tweets.  And it's a free service.
If you're working on an internal server of some sort (or otherwise outside of what pingdom can reach), then this is going to involve a quick script, or some add-on software.
If you're working on the script, do you have a local mail server running on this box?  (That'll make sending mail easier.)
And do you want to know about every outage, or do you want notifications when the shutdown happens?  (If it's the latter that you're after, then you can send mail from the shutdown script.)
Some of the more capable and less-interruptible power supplies have notification capabilities.  (eg: APC less-interruptible power supplies with the APC Web/SNMP card.)
The apcupsd tool might be of interest, too.  Whether that update works on Mountain Lion, I don't know.

  • Cannot send email

I cannot send email from my iPhone 4 16GB OS v.4.3.3. A message come up saying: "..recipient was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying". I have checked all settings with both my ISP and carrier and can find nothing wrong, but obviously something isn't right, with the smtp setting perhaps? Can anyone help with this, It's driving me mad that an iPhone won't send email whan my el cheapo backup phone will.

  • New problem-Unable to send email when on AT&T 2G or 3G only

I have had a problem for the past two and a half days. As of about 11 am PDT on 3/16/10, I was no longer able to send email through my primary ISP email account (Speakeasy.net) from my iPhone when on AT&T's 2G or 3G network, but can if I'm on a WiFi network. I have had my iPhone 3G for about 18 months and this email account has functioned perfectly that whole time. I contacted Speakeasy's fabulous tech support and learned that EVERY Speakeasy iPhone user has the same problem. Apparently it is a problem with AT&T's servers. There is an issue with the "reverse DNS" response and AT&T's servers aren't responding in time or at all so the request to send mail (or verify the identity of the sender or Speakeasy's mail server - I'm not that much of a techie to totally get this) so the request times out. Speakeasy says that AT&T is aware of it and there is nothing they, Speakeasy, can do. I've spoken to AT&T about it twice, and they say they are moving it up the tech ladder and someone is supposed to get back to me within 48 hours. That deadline will come up soon.
The odd thing is that I can continue to send mail from my backup Gmail account while on the 2G or 3G network. Unfortunately it isn't very convenient at all, and that begs the question as to why this is happening in the first place.
At least I know it isn't just me, but I do wonder what other ISPs are affected by it. Hotmail? Earthlink? Astound?
I am running the current versions of all software involved. And since I know it isn't just me, and that there's nothing I can do about it, that is cold comfort.
I have to wonder where Apple's servers come into the outgoing email process as I understand all mail goes through (in some order or other) Apple servers, AT&T servers, and the subscriber's ISP.
Is anyone else having this trouble? Apple-what can you do? I'm not getting the service from AT&T that I am paying for and I'm not a happy camper at this point.
    Thanks.

Mail does not go through Apple servers at all unless you are subscribing to MobileMe, so this is not an Apple issue and they cannot help you. Also, this is a user-to-user site, you aren't speaking to anyone from Apple here. You have done what you can by contacting Speakeasy and AT&T, as you stated your deadline is not up yet. If it passes contact AT&T. You can also contact AT&T customer service and ask for a credit to your account.

  • "Sender Name is Invalid" (can't send email from POP account) iPhone 2.1

I updated from V2.0.2 to V2.1 today. I also swapped out my original iPhone EDGE for a new iPhone EDGE due to unrelated problems with the speaker.
Upon testing things after restoring from backup to the new phone I discovered that I could no longer SEND email from my POP account. I could receive email just fine on that account. Sending and receiving email on my MobilMe account also worked, as did sending and receiving email via the POP account while on the Mac computer I use to sync with this iPhone.
After digging into this with AppleCare we discovered that somehow the Port Address for the Outgoing Mail Server for that POP account had been changed from 25 to 587 on the iPhone.
Changing it back to 25 fixed my problem.
We don't know whether the problem was due to the 2.1 upgrade or due to something in the restore process after swapping the phones.
If you get the error message "Sender Name is Invalid" while trying to send email from a POP account on your iPhone, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and select the line for your POP account.
Now scroll down to the Outgoing Mail Server entry which should show "SMTP" and the name of the outgoing mail server for that POP account. Select that line. This will display a list of servers with your POP account server showing at the top as the Primary Server. Select that line.
In the panel that displays, check the Server Port. If it is something odd like 587, that may be your problem. Select the line and you can edit it to something more normal like 25. Touch the "SMTP" button at the top left of the number entry screen to accept that new value.
We discovered that after correcting that value on the iPhone it STAYS corrected even after doing a new Sync with iTunes, or after MobileMe syncs.
    --Bob

    Sorry you had problems Bob.
Depending on the mail service you are using, Port 25 or Port 587 are usually acceptable for outgoing
SMTP mail. Many cafes will block the customary port 25 to prevent spammers from using their
    wireless access.
There is a superb tutorial posted here:
    http://www.webmail.us/docs/support/Macintosh-OSX-Mail.pdf
Also be sure for each mail account to turn ON the secondary AT&T server shown at the bottom
of the SMTP server list for each account -- it will make your transition from wireless to Edge
to 3G networks much more reliable.
Thanks for sharing what you've learned. Hope this helps.

    Greetings,
    Questions:
    1. What version of the Mac OS are you running (Apple > About this Mac)?
    2. What version of the iOS are you running (Settings > About)?
    3. Do you use MobileMe/ iCloud or another server based sync solution like Google or Yahoo?
    4. Do other changes to synced information like Address Book content sync successfully back and forth?
Based on your description it sounds like you have a 1 way sync issue.  Events sync fine between the iOS devices and fine from the computer to the iOS devices but not from the iOS devices to the computer.
    Try:
Backup your computer and iOS devices before doing anything else:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766
Ensure all the devices in use are fully up to date: Apple > Software Update / Settings > General > Software Update
Make separate backups of critical data:
    Backup your computer Addressbook: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=AddressBook/4.0/en/ad961.html
    Backup your computer iCal: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2966
Reset syncing on your Mac: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627
Reply back if that does not resolve your issue.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to take Backup of Emails and Logs?

i)How should i take the backup of emails sent and received?
ii) Where should i check for email sent and received along with sender/recipient and body of the message, i have checked log in um_system\smpt_in\<process_id>.log, but information is not in presentable format? Can I check the same from es_mail schema, which table should i query for the same, because we want to keep track of communication?
    Kindly Reply Soon

    Manpreet,
Have you had any luck with figuring out solution for what you posted? I have a similar requirement.
To answer your question about tables...under Es_mail schema look for
    select * from es_header
    select * from es_body
    select * from es_instance
    select * from es_recipient
    Thanks,

  • Can I send emails by date?

Can I send emails by date?
This is what I can do using Eudora. In Eudora, I can set the date I want the email to be sent.

you can use cron to run a script, or iCal can run a script, or I'd expect AppleScript could be used.
The bash script you'd use would look something like this:
cat msgtextfile.txt | mail -s "Subject" [email protected]
Or you could find a mail client tool or mail client extension that queues the mail, akin to the way Eudora worked for you. Thunderbird has an add-on known as SendTools (0.4.1) that can be of interest here, as it adds a send date to the message compose window.

  • Default the sender name while sending email from discoverer 11g viewer

    Hi,
Can we put a default value of a sender in the email which are sent from discoverer 11g viewer.??

    Hello
Yes, you can do this but you have to edit one of the UIX files to do it. The following is taken from my new Discoverer 11h Handbook which will be out later in the year.
If you want to force users to send Discoverer reports from a prespecified e-mail account, use the following workflow:
    Locate this file: $MIDDLEWARE_HOME/user_projects/domains/ClassicDomain/servers/WLS_DISCO/tmp/_WL_user/discoverer_11.1.1.2.0/<tmpfolder>/war/Email.uix
NOTE: In my system the name of the tmpfolder was 51oeh7. You may have a different name for <tmpfile> on your system and so may need to do a search for Email.uix.
Make a safe backup of Email.uix.
Find the following line and add the information in bold, changing [email protected] with your default email address:
    <contents>
    <messageTextInput required="yes" name="sender" disabled="true"
    tip="[email protected]" columns="40"
    prompt="${uix.data.nls['email.text.sender']}" text="[email protected]"/>
NOTE:  In the above, you will be replacing text="${uix.eventResult.sender}" with your default email address like: text="myemail.mycompany.com"
Find the following line and add the line in bold below it:
    <formValue name="event" value="sendEmail" />
    <formValue name="sender" [email protected] />
NOTE: Make sure the domain name you provide is the same domain you are using for the SMTP server; otherwise, your Discoverer Viewer users will not be able to send e-mail.
Take a backup of the modified file and place it somewhere safe.
Stop and restart the WLS_DISCO server in the WebLogic Server Administration Console.
Notes concerning editing of UIX files:
Never make any changes without first backing up the UIX file you intend to work on. You need to go slowly and carefully, making backups as you go and trying your modifications on a test system first.
Any changes you make to a UIX file will not be supported by Oracle, and if you run into any problems with changes you make to a UIX file, you will be on your own, which is why you need a backup.
If you need future support, you will need to be able to prove that the issue you are encountering is not because of any changes you have made. You will basically need to have a clean instance to prove that the issue is still there.
Any upgrades or patches that you subsequently apply may overwrite any custom changes that you have made to the UIX files. It will be your responsibility to keep copies of any changes you have made, and it will be your responsibility to make sure these changes are still valid after any upgrade or patch.
NOTE: I cannot be held responsible if you tamper with your UIX files and mess up your system. You have been warned! That said, there are many examples for editing UIX files on Oracle’s Support site. So long as you are careful and heed the warnings mentioned, you should be fine
    Best wishes
    Michael

  • OEM Not sending email notifications..

    Hello All,
I have setup all the parameters required for email notifications in My OEM Database Control..
I have even tested my by pressing test mail while configuring outgoing SMTP server..
Even marked to send an email in all the rules i needed..
So everything seems like i have setup all the parameters and even when i click on one alert and its details it shows *"The following notifications will be sent: 1 e-mail messages, 0 SNMP traps, 0 PL/SQL procedures, and 0 OS Commands."*
And as i expect it should show one more entry the email has been send to [email protected] but even after waiting for long time OEM is no sending the email specified in notication schedule..
What might be the reason for the same.. Any help would be great..
    Oracle DB Version : 10.2.0.1
    OEM : OEM Db control
    Thanks

It might be one of the fllowing reasons
1.SYSMAN jobs are broken, re-enalbe the same.
2.Check Preferences--> Notification Rules--> And make sure all Rules are checked for Send Email.
3.Check dbms jobs are running under sysman schema on the repository.

  • My iPad 2 has suddenly stopped sending emails.

My iPad 2 has suddenly stopped sending emails. It puts them in the outbox but that's as far as they go.  I've tried turning off ect but no joy. It puts them in the outbox but thats as far as they go.

The restrictions should have no bearing at all as to why mail is not being sent. It will prevent you from making changes to the emai account, so I don't know how you were able to try what I suggested if you can't get into your mail settings.
As for the 10 attempts ...... You get as many tries as you need with that passcode. But the catch is that if you cannot remember it and you need to get into the settings, you have to restore your iPad back to factory settings and start all over again. The only way that you can use a backup is if the backup does not contain that passcode. If you restore from a backup that has the passcode in or, you will jut end up in a never ending loop.
So after having said all of this I would have to assume that you tried my suggestion before you locked yourself out of the settings.

It's not a good idea to use a network disk for both Time Machine backups and other things.  By design Time Machine will eventually consume all the space on its output disk, which will then cause problem for your other files.  I'd store those other files on an external disk connected to the Time Capsule.  The problem with that is that Time Machine will only back up files that are local to your Mac.  That means that you'll only have one copy of the files on or attached to your Time Capsule.
By the way, you've been misled by poor field labeling on this forum into typing a large part of your message into the field intended for the subject.  In the future just type a short summary of your post into that field and type the whole message into the field below that.

  • Kern-Exec Error when sending emails from 9500

    Hi There
My first post so hopefully someone may be able to help and I'll try to help others if I can.
Just recently I have been unbale to send emails from my Nokia 9500. I don't think I've been doing anything differently but I keep getting KERN-EXEC error reason No 3, when I try to send email messages. Strange that I'm able to receive messages ok though.
I looked at some of the other posts and followed mobile manic's advice for other KERN-EXEC errors. I backed up the phone contents to the PC, restored the phone to default settings and then re-loaded all the backed up stuff.
Sadly, I still get the KERN-EXEC error message when I try to send emails. It seems to conect to GPRS ok but then the message just sits in the Outbox waiting to go but never does. So when I close the program (after leaving it for a few mins) that's when I get the KERN-EXEC error message.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Cheers
    Sparky007

    Hi there Sparky!
I don't suppose you tried to send an email before you restored the backup did you? Sometimes backups can back up the problem as well which is a bit annoying.
If you can send an email ok before restoring the backup then the problem must be embedded in the backup... otherwise the only thing I could suggest is contacting a Nokia engineer to get them to have a look at it.
Not sure what else to suggest... good luck though and let us know how you get on.

In the meantime, make a temporary, backup copy of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
