OT: Need help on menu, please (JavaScript)
Hi there and thanx for your help so long.
My question is about this menu:

I must say that I really need this to work.
My effort is here:

It works beautifully in IE but not as beautifully in FF and Chrome.
Problem:
By just putting in the adress as above, the coloured boxes do not appear at all. They only appear when I click on the Home link at the top of the page or I type www.energywa.co.za/layout/index.php in the address bar.
It does this on my local machine as well as the server where it is hosted on.
What bugs me is that it works perfect from the writer's site in all 3 browsers. Unfortunately there is no support forum on the site and I have alrwady mailed the writer but had no luck yet.
Can someone please help me? I am in the process of learning JavaScript but can only copy & paste at the moment. ;-)

Hi Gary.
I eventually got it to work. There is still a lot of clutter in the script which I need to sif through, but it works! I am so relieved. I used the files another person modified (from the link I posted) and changed them here and there.
I also still need to get my menu to the left, but that should be easy.

It works in IE, FF and Chrome.
Thanx very much again for all your help. I don't know what exactly fixed it, but it is there somewhere.

Yea I am. I deleted Logic Pro 9 and moved the App to the Trashcan like normal. Then when I go to install it, it says its already Installed. When I do this with other apps; it works fine, the install thing comes back up like it should once you have deleted the app

I have need help with something Please respond Quickly ok so i have the linksys wrt54g Version 2.2 and i upgraded the firmware to V4.21.4 from this site http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/lbc/WRT54G and i clicked V2.2 for the router. So after i upgraded i lost internet ability i can't use the internet so i had to downgrade back to V4.21.1 but i want the things that newer update sloves. Please Help. Everything thing says DNS error? aka Modem.

Need help translating menu from as2 to as3
Ive been at this for a week now, trying to build a
straightforward accordian menu, translating an existing as2 menu
into as3. I desperately need help, I've reach my conceptual ends in
terms of code knowledge. Could someone please take a look at what

you might do better to check for an as3 tutorial for an
accordian menu. it's a bit more involved than you're thinking. -

I need help on a menu list logic.
There's this main menu which has 6 list buttons, and second
list with 4 buttons.
When I press on one button, it should load the next list.
Problem I have here is when I click on the one button, it
clears the previous main list buttons (which is what I want). On
the second list, it only shows the last button, aka 4th button.
I've attached my code here below, which is in the first
frame.After posting this the solution hit me.
I had to pass the parameter for the createButton as a "_root"
instead of "this" -

I'm hoping someone can help me out with an iWeb issue. I don't usually do stuff in iWeb (I prefer to build my sites from scratch - or relative scratch lol - using Dreamweaver or the like) but I have a client whose ultimate goal is to be able to do websites updates themselves and wanted me to set up a site using a simple template program (and also didn't want to spend the money for a built-from-scratch site) so we went with iWeb.
I have the site 99% complete, but I need to add some functional flare and don't know how to do it with iWeb. What I need is this:
I have a page with a list of name, when I scroll over the names I need for an image to the left of the list to change to correspond with the name I have just moused over. I know how to build this feature in normally, but even putting my already iWeb created page into Dreamweaver doesn't work right, and I don't seem to have full editing capabilities.
Now I have seen some really cool sites that people have built with iWeb, and they seem to have managed to add all kinds of things to their site that I can't figure out how to do. So I'm hoping someone can help me out with this.
I'm thinking about just building this page seperately from iWeb, but that's sort of going to defeat the purpose of using iWeb in the first place.

Thing is I can't see where selection is - no screen. Instruction sequence needed in form: MENU | DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, OK | DOWN,DOWN,OK | DOWN, OK | OK . I could then follow this sequence *blind* with the 5200 connected to PC via USB cable so PC will detect it at right point in menus. Any further help much appreciated. Thanks, J.

i found a previous forum on here that people were having the same issue, but lets just say i need help for dummies. Here is the error message i get when safari crashes:

There is actually a lot more to it but i was just trying to search based on this criteria above. Anyone help? im not the most computer literate, but i have tried simple things like clearing the cache, emptying old bookmarks etc that take up room. any other suggestions? Just installed security update 2014-002, now Itunes will not open, I have rebooted twice with no effect, I don't know what else to do to get my itunes back. Need help please
Believe I've firxed my problem, at least, ITunes is now working again. I followed the information provided from a couple of posts on this thread, (1) re restarting with command-s held down; did it twice, made no differerence; (2) manually re-installed the Security update; no difference; each time restarting, no effect; (3) shutdown the computer; I did for 35 minutes, upon restart, ITunes is back to normal, seems to be working fine. Turning the computer off must clear the cache?

IPhone 5 screen wont turn on. (Need help or info, please and thank you.)
So i got an Iphone 5, and i accedently droped it in the sink. i took it out, whipped it off, i put it in my pocket and left it alone.
the next day the screen was not working, moments later, it(Iphon5) turned off. tried turnng it back on but it wouldnt work.
so, again i left it. everything still works, its just that the screen wont turn on, i could still play music snapshot stuff,
but my screen wont tun on.
I NEED HELP.I don't beleive this is a known problem and you should probably bring your phone to a local Genius Bar (make an appointment here) as this is likely a hardware issue (a problem with your phone realizing that you removed it from your ear).
If you're willing to tinker with it a bit, you can determine if this is a software issue by backing up your iPhone (separately ensure your photos, videos and music is backed up) and then "Restore" your phone. If the restoration solves the problem, you're dealing with a software issue. If the problem still exists, you're almost definitely dealing with a hardware issue. -

um... that's what I meant... the OP had all four sides styled
separately,
with 0 for one side... but mentioned he wanted a border on
all sides....
hence my arrow pointing out the side that had 0 for border
and what could
be used as a shortcut method of styling the border....

1. Targetting two engines.
How to target Illustrator engine when the javascripts is running in indesign engine.
2. Creating text in textframe
How to create a text in textframe and uniquely identifying it for further updation of content of text.
3. Creating form fields in Indesign
How to create form fields in indesign through javascript so that after exporting to PDF it can be modified.
4. Access method
How to access methods defined in start up script from the our own cript folder.

Karthik B1. I have No Idea what you mean. Do you want an InDesign script "target" illustrator? Try Brigdetalk.
2. Described in the Javascript Tools guide.
3. No amount of scripting will make #3 possible. [*] If you "desperately" need this, write a plugin for it.
4. I'm not sure, but as far as I know nothing special is needed for that. At least, not if your own script shares the same engine. If it doesn't, then there is no way because that's how it is supposed to work, and no amount of scripting can work around that.
[*] Apart from writing a complete PDF engine in Javascript, that is. Based on your other questions, it's a fair bet that's not going to happen any time soon.
