Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Try going to the Safari Menu within Safari and choosing Empty Cache. This will clear out images that Safari may be saving that have become corrupt.

  • Why is my Mac storing graphics and photos from the web in iPhoto?

    How can I prevent my Mac from downloading graphics and photos from the web?   How do I remove the thousands of images that the Mac moved into iPhoto when I browse the web?

    This has been reported a few time with no definitive cause. It probably is caused by dragging things to iPhoto. Best solution is to load the back up from just before it occurred. Otherwise you neen to use iPhoto to delete them emptying the iPhoto trash every 100 or so

  • How do I download a photo off the web and save it to my desktop or send to anotherd

    How doI download a photo off the web and save it to my desktop

    Drag the picture off the wb page to a empty spot on the desktop and let go, it will create a file.
    From there you can upload it as a attachment when sending a email.

  • How to upload photo to the web

    I could not upload photo to the web by safari is there any way to do so please help me

    The "Choose File" buttons will only work if you are running Safari (or other browser) on a full computer with a recognizable file storage system (hard drive). As neuroanatomist said, on the iPhone you will need to use one of the photo-sharing apps.

  • HT4847 where can i see my photos in the web?

    where can i see my photos in the web?

    You can only veiw your photos on the web by creating a shared photo stream as a public website, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99.  This will give you a url to view your photos from any browser.

  • Compressing photos for the web

    I'm new to mac and iPhoto.
    When I bring in photos from my camera into iPhoto,
    their file size is way too big for emailing and the web.
    (over 1mb)
    is it possible to compress and edit photos in iPhoto?
    Or do i have to use another program such as Photoshop?
    thanks

    teresita
    If you're on a MBP then I'm going to guess that you're using iPhoto 6, not v5. (You've posted in the v5 forum).
    Select the pics you want to use and go File -> Export and in the resulting dialogue you have the option to resize the pics, among other options. Then complete the export to the desktop. iPhoto will make a copy of the pics with your changes on the desktop. You can use these for emailing and uploading. After they're used, you can trash them - they are only copies.
    If you're using Apple's Mail for email, you can resize the pics in the Mail window (look at the bottom right of the window. You can also create these emails from within iPhoto if you're using Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora.

  • I can't copy, drag, save or even highlight photos from the web. Any suggestions?

    I'm using the MacBook - less than one-year-old.
    I can't copy and paste photos.
    If I try to highlight a photo it highlights all the page rather than just the picture.
    If I right click my list of options does not include saving photo - rather 'save page as..' - which again saves all the web rather than just the picture.
    Nothing happens when I try to drag the picture/photo to iPhotos.
    Thanks in advance for any responses.

    Well, I've come across websites where I could download a picture and others which did not allow it; my take was and is that it is the webmaster's idea of what s/he will allow you to do with their site. So, I am out of ideas on how to help here; having said that though, you really can't compare your two machines - they are two different things and are based on an entirely different set of code. Hopefully someone else will be able to come up with an idea.

  • How do I publish 5,000+ photos on the web, especially for Windows users?

    I currently have over 5,000 pictures in my iPhoto Library. The overwhelming bulk of these are scans from old prints, slides and negatives, with some of the photos over 100 years old - almost all family stuff. I have inherited much of my library from deceased family members and want to make sure that the remaining members can have access to these photos. With only one other Macintosh in our large extended family, I am concerned about getting this information fully distributed to them all. I have been googling [is that a word?] for answers to some of my questions, and I know I can publish the photos using iWeb, but am unclear on some aspects of it.
    • Is there a maximum number of photos that can be in one iWeb file? [I know that the limit is 99 photos when published with my .mac account, but don't know if it's different for iWeb]
    • Since photocasts are made through the .mac account, does this mean the limit for a photocast is 99 photos? [as above]
    • Will photos in the iWeb file include both the iPhoto title and comments? [I need this since many of my pictures show groups and the only way to identify them all fully is in the comments section]
    I will appreciate any help I can get.

    Forget using iWeb to "share" your images. By design any image is resized (800X600) when the page is published making them nearly useless for printing.
    Photocasting does use your full size originals (good news) but requires .Mac account to generate. You would quickly run out of bandwidth trying to share 5,000 files. File names would be used (not iPhoto titles you've applied) and the comments would not transfer either as they aren't part of the EXIF data in those files.
    Best practical method of sharing that many images at original dimensions would be a data DVD.
    You could also use iPhoto to create a Slide Show (nicer way for older folks to view on TV) and send those shows to iDVD for burning. There's an option in iDVD to include the original images on the burned DVD (as individual image files).
    In iDVD you can create a "master file" so you could burn as many copies of them as needed.
    Sharing 5,000 of anything via the Internet is an exercise in frustration.

  • How do I improve the quality of photos on the web?

    I have noticed that a lot of websites I visit the image quality is shocking, its driving me mad and cant figure out how to improve it for good instead of pressing SHIFT + A or whatever it is... please help

    Your web browser doesn't control image quality on web sites. It's controlled by how those images were optimized.
    The sites that look really good were probably put together by people who understand how to balance contrast processing, sharpening, and data compression settings to produce an image highly optimized for web display. Also, if you have a Retina screen, some websites are Retina-optimized and many are not.
    When images look bad on a web site, it's because the production people don't understand how to sharpen for the web, or maybe the site imposes mandatory over-compression to save space but that destroys image quality (e.g. Facebook).

  • Saving photos to the web by creating events. Called the destination folder does not exist.

    Hello,
    I ask you for advice (assistance). A week ago I re-installed the PC and installed to the computer again Photoshop CS5. Everything works for me except for the function of storing images for web by creating events. Called me constantly destination folder does not exist. The problem I had before. I ask you this advice on how to solve this problem.
    Thanks for the advice

    hi,
    i don't know if i integrate your code correctly, but it doens't work for me. I presently create skin for client and this plugin is really usefull for me.
    i use win7 64bit home edition, and photoshop cs5
    there is how i integrate this :
    // EDIT ALEX GRENIER
    function getPreferencesFolder() {
         var userData = Folder.userData;
         if (!userData || !userData.exists) {
              userData = Folder("~");
         var folder = new Folder(userData + "/xtools");
         if (!folder.exists) {
              folder.create();
         return folder;
    function exportChildren(dupObj, orgObj, dupDocRef, folder) {
    if (getCSVersion() >= 10) // CS3 Only
         // Create assets folder in Flex app's directory
         // var tempFolder;
         // tempFolder = new Folder (folder + "/assets/");
         // tempFolder.create();
         // EDIT ALEX GRENIER
         var tempFolder;
         tempFolder = getPreferencesFolder();
    i put the code creating the folder in comment and put your code in place, i also put your function before the function creating file.
    With the base code (without modification) photoshop is able to create my folder assets, but when it try to export the png, it export nothing, so i have a empty folder.
    thank you,
    Alex

  • Shared Photo Streams: ...they can view your photos on the web. How...?

    I tried with my iPhone 4 using iOS 6... got myself an invitation to my 2nd iCloud account as well as to some friends that don't have an Apple-ID.
    Using my other iCloud account worked fine... but my friends were not able to see the photos.
    Does it work with the updated iPhoto (9.4) - haven't tried it yet.

    Photostream was never directly viewable on icloud.com.  You can use the iCloud Control Panel to do so.  On a Mac, it's in your system preferences.  For a PC, you download it here: iCloud for Windows - Apple Support

  • Sharing Photo Stream On The Web

    Creating a Photo Stream to share. One option is to open it to the public on the web. I tried one photo sharing via iCloud on the web.
    Where is the public photo on the web? Thanks.

    The URL for the public Photo Share is in the Info tray for that PS:
    Click on that link which will take you to the PS web page where you can copy the full URL or Command (right) - click  on the link in iPhoto and select "Copy Link in the contextual menu.
