(OT) Reducir peso .flv

Hola foreros
http://anuack.com/global_2/bandwidth200.swf

Tienes que dar un paso atrás. Pasar el FLV a otro
formato editable (AVI,

  • Reducing "image size" of .flv

    Hello,
    This is my first post. I hope this is clear.
    When I put a .flv onto a page, it's too large, meaning I want to reduce the image size, not the .flv itself. So, I click on Tools, advanced editing and select "Select object tool" and reduce it manually while holding down the shift bar. Is there a way to just click on the image and make it, for example, 25% smaller?That way all my .flv files will look the same.
    Thanks,
    Techwaitress

    Just wanted to say I use Adobe Acrobat Pro 9. (Also, maybe I should have said resize the image instead of reduce.)

  • Cannot import WMV files, converting to FLV reduces volume

    I've got an MP4 video that I can import into PowerPoint/Presenter just fine, but it fails when I try to import a WMV video.
    I've tried using AME to convert to FLV (but don't think I should have to, should I?), but then the volume is not as loud as the original WMV is.
    Another related question ... are there any options for the video controller/scrubber that Presenter adds to video? If I insert a video natively in PowerPoint, it adds a much more elegant controller under the video. Presenter puts a big, clunky one on top.

    The volume change is most likely due to a setting in AME. I would agree that bringing in a non-flash video in to Presenter is not ideal. This is because the inline video converter is too simple for my taste, but it can do an ok job if in a pinch. I know there are some good free video conversion tools out there, but I have always used (and liked) the AVS video converter.
    As to the video controller/scrubber, I'm not sure what you are seeing. With the published version of your presentation, the video should be controlled with the presentation play bar. The only time I see any other play bar is when you do a slide show (F5) preview of the presentation. But this is not representative of the output of Presenter.

  • What's wrong with my .flv?

    Experts,
    I've been trying to create .flv movies for my kid's soccer
    team. I'm using OS X and Final Cut Express to edit the movies. I'm
    using Flash Video Encoder to convert the results from .mov to .flv.
    I'm not happy with the quality (editing and content,
    notwithstanding). Anyone watching any youtube video, can see that
    I'm not doing something right. But, after hours of trying, I'm just
    not getting it.
    I can tell you that I slightly reduce the dimensions of the
    final product. But only slighty.
    Here's an
    example of my output.. I am exporting at the highest quality.
    So, what's with the degraded video?
    So, if you can direct me to a tutorial, or can recognize my
    problem because of your own experience, please provide any tips.
    Greatly appreciated.

    And, occasionally it will boot into open firmware.
    Seems odd to me. All by itself? Did you press any keys?
    I don't know what to do from here. I can still boot into os 8.6 with extensions off.
    Most likely, you have a bad extension. They are in a folder called extensions What you need to do is create a new folder and move extensions to this folder. Move extensions to the folder in groups. try 1/2 first. Move back & forth between folders. See which extension is causing the problem. command + n to create a new folder
    verify that you have the correct firmware.
    Figuring out what level of firmware you have?
    1) Mac OS 9.x or 8.x, you need to use the Apple System Profiler.
    Apple -> Apple System Profiler
    2) Mac OS X, use the System Profiler.
    Apple -> About This Mac
    click on the More Info... tab
    click on Hardware
    read the Boot ROM Version
    3) Open Firmware, boot into Open Firmware.
    Power on your iMac while holding down commandoption+of
    The first output line contains the firmware level. Mine reads:
    Apple PowerMac4,1 4.1.9f1 BootRom built on 09/14/01 at 13.18.04
    Copyright 1994-2001 Apple Computer Inc.
    The 4.1.9f1 will be different on a 333 machine.
    What firmware do you need?

  • FLV Export From Final Cut Pro

    Hi Folks,
    I've been reading and reading and just want to know what is
    the right way to go about exporting video from a third party
    application like Final Cut Pro. Yes, the easy way is to
    Export>quicktime conversion and go from there. If this is the
    best way then great, But i'm wondering if exporting as a lossless
    quicktime codec such as the Video codec or the Anitmation codec
    would be a better choice then go to the flash video encoder with
    the lossless file. I heard that exporting straight out of FCP could
    be bad as the video needs to be deinterlaced before the flv stage.
    If this is the case, what are the best settings when
    exporting a lossless quicktime file? There are about 6 setting s
    that need to be set and I haven't a clue what would be the right
    settings.
    If exporting from final cut straight to flv, are you folks
    dropping the frame rate to 15 fps(cutting your frames in half). Is
    this working better for you?
    Well thanks for all your help, I keep on testing short clips
    and can't seem to find a any certain configuration that i really
    like.
    hanks so much for all your help.
    todd

    Todd ..
    We do quite a bit of video / flv work.
    Our editing software is VEGAS so unfortunately we can't
    render directly to flv .. but avi->flv via Sorenson Squeeze.
    If Final Cut allows rendering directly to flv, my
    recommedation would be to use that functionallity. Caveats .. if
    the encoder can 1. deinterlace i.e. progressive scan. 2. reduce
    your framerate from 29. to 15. 3. gives you the ability to control
    # of key frames.
    The logic being .. use the fewest number of encoding methods
    to get from source to output to maintain best quality.

  • Playing FLV from CD-ROM

    When running long a FLV from CD-ROM the seek times
    are terrible. Sometimes taking a full 3-4 minutes to seek
    near the end of a 160x120 - 30 minute movie for example.
    And that is on a 3ghz machine.
    How can this be reduced to approx. 3-5 seconds?
    This is what our customers expect from video.
    They need to bounce around the video rapidly.
    Also, splitting the FLV into smaller clips is not a solution
    and we can't we install to the hard drive.
    Thanks.

    HI

  • Can you encode an flv in Compressor with letterbox bars?

    I am trying to encode a 1280x720 Quicktime movie to a 320x240 flv. I have compressed it 8 times already varying settings each time to get it to not squish the content to fit the 320x240 frame to no avail. Each separate setting squish the video. I believe "Padding" the top and bottom of the frame is the way to go, but the controls are deactivated when encoding an flv. I have read through he pdfs and have found no help. I even relaunched the software thinking it might be glitching up.
    Any thoughts?

    What version of Compressor are you using? You could transcode to an intermediate format first, i.e. ProRes or Photo JPEG @ 75% quality, and letterbox it that way, before encoding to FLV.
    From http://codecs.onerivermedia.com/ - 4:2:2 Compressed Codec Formats
    PhotoJPEG at its highest 100% quality setting is actually a 4:4:4 codec. When reduced down to 75%, it switches to 4:2:2 to help with the compression scheme. So why is it included here? The AJA Kona SD and Blackmagic Design DeckLink use this codec at 75% quality for its default offline compressed mode and with good reason. Virtually no banding in the gradients and average mosquito edging on the RGB colors. The compression artifacts are really only noticeable in the NTSC color bars and a little in the color filter test. And look at the x10 generation test... almost a pixel-perfect copy of the first generation! It actually passes through generations better than Kona's own 10-bit Trillions codec. Amazing! And look at that file size! Only 2.7 MB per second! That's better bandwidth (and way better quality) than DV can ever dream of. This codec truly can pass for an online codec with no problem. Best part is this codec is free to any QuickTime user, can be used on any platform and runs great even on PowerBooks.
    To automate the process, you can select your job and choose New Job With Target Output from the Job menu, and add your FLV setting there.

  • Best Compression Settings for Reduced File Sizes

    I've been compressing MP4s and trying to improve the video file size but I'm surprised that Adobe Media Encoder is creating larger file sizes despite reducing the dimensions and audio quality. I've tried MP4 and FLV export settings. Does anyone have any recommendations?

  • Embed flv instead of linking?

    Is there a way to embed flv files (the same way images are embeded) within the published SWF? From this thread I see the default behavior is to link to flv files, I'm just wondering if there is a way to change that behavior without bringing the code into Flash Builder (which I do not own).
    Thanks for any insight,
    Brent

    How large are the video files you want to embed in your Flash Catalyst project? The reason that they are kept external is to reduce initial swf file download. I don't think this setting can be changed within Flash Catalyst. You will have to take the project into Flash Builder to change this. But be warned, the user experience may not be what you want. I would test it on the real server first. You might need to introduce a better preloader to the project to offset the increased download time.

  • Recorded FLVs manipulation

    Hi,
    I'm creating a Flex application that enables users to communicate in a kind of video chat room. I only allow to live streams at any given moment.
    I'm using FMS to record the videos in FLVs.
    What I need to do is post process those videos and create a single video with all that happened in the video room. That means that I need to combine 2 videos, reduce the size of one of them so it appears over the other one. In other words one video will use the whole space an the other will appear at the upper left corner (over the other video,).
    I need a server side solution for this. I created another post here and someone suggest a screen capture solution. That would work perfectly, but since this appliction will be used for several people and any time, I want the process to be automaticaly not manual.
    So, I'm thinking I can do it with FFMPEG, but I need a way to identify in which order I need to compose the videos. Something like adding a time stamp to each FLV in FMS (when they are recorded). How can I add custom metadata to the FLV? would I be able to read it later? any ideas will be appreciated.
    Tks.

    You can add custom metadata using ns.send method but this"ns" ie netstream should be the publishing netsream. So you can use the Flash Player client which uses webcam to publish using ns.publish and then again use the same ns to insert custom metadata by calling ns.send. Here is a sample code snippet:
    function netStatusHandler(event:NetStatusEvent):void
    trace("In netStatusHandler...");
        try
       if(event.info.code=="NetStream.Publish.Start"){
       setCustomMetadata();
        catch (error:TypeError)
            // Ignore any errors.
    function setCustomMetadata():void{
    ns.send("onCustomData", "hello");
    To retrieve this you need to use following client code:
    if(info.code=="NetConnection.Connect.Success"){
      ns = new NetStream(nc);
      ns.addEventListener(NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, netStatusHandler);
      client = new Object();
      ns.client = client;
      client.onCustomData= onCustomDataHandler;
    function onCustomDataHandler(str:String):void{
    trace("onCustomData: " + str);

  • How to reduce the swf file size of an imported After Effects file

    Hi!
    I am trying to make a web banner for an internet marketing company, so it has very specific requirements. We had it made in After Effects, and I was able to export it as a FLV file and import to Flash just fine along with the SWF. Now, I need to make the SWF file significantly smaller.
    Right now it is 2.5 MB and we can only submit a 40K size SWF. Is it even possible to reduce the size so much and still keep the animation's intregrity?
    I am more familiar with Flash than After Effects, but can play around with settings, etc if someone can tell me what to try.
    Thank you for your help!

    the easiest way to load and play your flv is to use an flvplayback component.  you just drag it from the component panel to the stage and, in the properties panel, assign its properties (eg, skin and source).
    but that will probably put you just over your 40kb limit and will require the skin.swf to be placed on the server with your banner ad.
    to decrease your swf size to negligible, use actionscript to play your flv.  this is the barebones code needed.  just replace your_video_url.flv:
    var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
    nc.connect(null);
    ns:NetStream = new NetStreamnc);
    ns.play("your_video_url.flv");
    var video:Video = new Video();
    video.attachNetStream(ns);
    addChild(video);

  • Does encoding from a Quicktime movie reduce PC compatibility?

    I'm wondering if encoding from a Quicktime file as opposed to
    say, a WMV file, reduces compatibility of the final Flash Video
    product with PC's? Does the PC need anything special to view a
    Flash movie embeded with a video originally compressed with a
    Quicktime codec or once it goes through the Flash Media Encoder is
    the original form the video was in irrelevant?
    Thanks.

    nope, it doesn't matter from which source you encoded your
    flv file (at least not for the end user) as soon as the flv has
    been encoded everyone with a flash player can watch the video.
    Keep in mind that if you targeting a flash player lower then
    7 you need to use the sorenson codec, otherwise go for VP6 and you
    are good to go
    btw, the source can be whatever you want, but keep in mind
    that it's not a good practice re-compressing videos

  • Why is a 4MB Pages document converting into a 20.7MB epub file?  How can I reduce the size?

    I'm using Pages 4.3 to create epub files.  It converted a 112-page, 4 MB Pages document to a 20.7 MB epub file.  Yet when I converted the Pages document to a mobi file (for Amazon ebooks), it's only 3.6 MB.  Obviously I can't use a 20.7 MB file.  Why is it doing this and what can I do about it?
    Thanks for any information.

    that's the thing that pump size.
    Video files.
    Please take note that FLV is not much better than regular
    video. In fact it's
    larger and lousier quality. So you could import MOV to flash
    and keep it as SWF.
    This would keep the file smaller a bit. Than you can always
    load these files
    in run time, swf and flv. Making main movie small and just
    stream the content when
    needed.

  • How can I reduce the file size rendered by After Effects?

    When I render a relatively simple 5 second project in After Effects, the file size of the resultant .avi is 64MB.  If I change the properties to reduce the file size, the degradation makes the file unusable.  What am I doing wrong?

    Is AE's encoder really that inefficient?
    The thing is, AVI doesn't mean much.
    It's pretty much an empty container box, which doesn't imply a quality level.
    So, AME could default to something completely different as a starting point to produce an AVI file.
    AE defaults to uncompressed video when you pick AVI as a format. So, obviously this produces huge file sizes. There could be similar quality thresholds with smaller sizes if you pick other AVIcodecs, but that's a different subject. And in any case, when you're rendering a production quality master,  file size is usually not your main concern. You typically use this high quality video file as a source for compressed flavors for distribution. So, pristine video files with huge sizes are a good thing - people then wonder why trailers at apple.com, for instance look so good. And the thing is, the most compressed formats benefit enormously from having an uncompressed file as a source.
    Regarding encoding efficiency, yes, AE is less efficient than dedicated encoding solutions. Above all, because it doesn't support 2 pass encoding. Note that for some formats, 2 pass makes a night and day difference, while for others, nothing as drastic as most users seem to believe.
    All of this is a moot point for AVI, because the default AVI codecs don't offer these encoding options, which are more the realm of distribution formats like FLV, MPEG-4/H264 or WMV.
    There are distribution codecs which use AVI as a container out there, but those are a different case.
