Other Computers Appear then Disappear

At times I will see everyone connected to our network. At other times they seem to disappear. I know they are still on the network because they are sitting near me.
How do I fix this?

I have two separate accounts set up on my iMac for my wife and I plus a shared account where music and I thought photos were stored. My wife and I both have administrator level access and shared read and write access to each others' pictures. IPhoto itself shows that everyone has read and write access. We each upload pictures to iPhoto. When I'm logged in and iPhoto is lauched, when I click on a photo that my wife uploaded when logged into her account, the photo appears briefly, then disappears to a black screen. When my wife is logged in, she similarly cannot see photos that I've uploaded when logged into my aacount. Can anyone help with this? Many thanks!

HT1267 My iPod player in my iPhone isn't working properly it will play for a few seconds then stop and also the volume level will appear then disappear what can I do to remedy this?

My iPod player within my iPhone isn't working properly when playing videos it will start then stop after a few seconds and also the sound bar appears then disappears, and when playing music no sound is coming out when I'm on a call I can hear everything properly and also on loud speaker! What can I do to remedy this? Please help!!!

If you haven't tried it yet, I'd eliminate memory issues first. Close all of the apps with the double tap on the home button method

Its weird, when I plug it into wall AC, I was able to boot into the home screen, but there's wifi cant turn on. Plug out the phone turn off immediately. I tried to jailbreak it with snowbreeze because someone has the same problem with his iphone 4, but snowbreeze doens't work with iphone 4s.

I just got back from the Verizon store and the guy went to my settings and under each email, unsynced my contacts. I lost all my contacts, and it's a good thing I had a typed up a back up file on my computer before going but to my joy- IT WORKED! It's been a week and all my contacts haven't moved and have stayed. It's like a regular phone (contact wise).

This started recently. I think I was in the middle of setting up a custom size for my epson 2880 when something happened. Now when I try to use the photoshop controls printing command, I'll hit print, it will start to respond, the printer icon appears then disappears and then nothing happens. I can print from other apps, I use quad tone rip for b&w and am now printing color using color sync, I can also print from LightRoom, but no luck through PS.

Has most recent drivers.
Yes, it will print from a PDF – it will print from preview, Acrobat, Word, OpenOffice - Anything other than InDesign it seems!
Tried deleting and re-installing printer. No change, unfortunately.

Exchange email appears then disappears after one read !!

Since installing OS 3.0 on my iPhone 3G my Exchange email appears then disappears after 1 reading.
To get the emails back I go to the account settings and switch the Mail off (which removes the account and the folder format) then I switch the mail back on then the email are back again !!
(if it can get through to the server, as I often get a Sever error message)
Anybody else seen this problem?
I don't use the Contacts or Calenders as currently through iTunes sync they seem OK.
Note my Yahoo and other POP accounts have no problems.

Problem Solved- Atleast for me
After going through this issue for more than 3 weeks, I was able to find the solution. For me emails continue to disappear but it was totally random. Calendar and Contact also disappeared but not as often as mail.
The problem resides on Exchange OWA server. On IIS I have connection limit of 10 connections which we was causing this problem. After increasing the limit problem is gone.
STEPS
Search the logs under C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\HTTPERR for "503 1 ConnLimit", if you find this line then the solution is to increase the limit.
To do that, go to, IIS Manager, Right click on Default Website (where OWA is hosted), properties and go to Performance tab. Under Website Connections, increase your current limit. Restart IIS Admin and try IPhone mail again.

Not fishy at all!!!! You really think I would have taken any more of my time to post a bogus rant? We'll no, it is unfortunately all true. I want to hear from anyone who is experiencing such problems not anyone else that wants to put there two cents in. I really don't need anymore hate or negativity. Just people's experiences because I feel like I am the only one having so many problems. Thank you
Yes, I have had some unfortunate bad luck to have so many problems at the same time, but some of them are just things you cannot do on the new OS.

Firefox begins to start but then stops before loading any screen. Profile manager/safe mode appear then disappear. Task manager shows programs briefly in CPU then they disappear. Uninstall & reload makes no difference. Any ideas please ?

When we clicked as usual on the firefox icon the egg-timer started then went off. Nothing started up.
Checking the Task Manager showed firefox.exe briefly using the CPU then it dropped off the list.
We tried to uninstall and reload from the mozilla site (http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/). Installation seemed to work ok, but the same problem recurred when we tried to start firefox.
Did this again, this time removing bookmarks, etc. same result.
Tried to use the profile manager - the screen came up but disappeared before we could use it.
Same thing happened when we tried to start in safe mode - screen briefly appeared but then disappeared.
Tried googling in IE to solve the problem but nothing seems to apply.
Have run all security checks but no apparent bugs or problems.
Have had to abandon firefox and use another browser. How do we get it back please ?

Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

Why does the scrollbar sometimes appear but then disappear? When I open a window the scrollbar is sometimes there for a just few seconds. If I select it within a few seconds and use it everything works fine. If I don't use it, it disappears and I can't get it back. How do I get the scroll bar back? Why won't the scrollbar show up at all on web pages?

It's a feature which is supposed to enhance your interface with your Mac and its operating system on screen. It is a "visual aid" that is meant to remove on screen clutter.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

New episodes appearing then disappearing

I'm encountering an unusual problem with my podcast. The latest episode, published Dec 31, 2008, keeps appearing and then disappearing from my iTunes podcast listing. I've checked my blog and my feed, everything checked out as valid and I've also pinged the iTunes server. Each time iTunes updates the podcast episode listing and everything is up to date but then a few hours later it reverts back to the old episode listing, including episodes that are no longer available on my feed. I've repeated the steps of checking the feed and pinging iTunes a few times in the past 36 hours but the problem keeps occurring (iTunes listing gets up to date and then a few hours later reverts back to old listing.) What could be causing this? According to Feed Validator, the feed is valid, contains the latest episode and does not contain the old episodes that iTunes keeps reverting back to.

On checking just now, iTunes shows the latest episode, and matches the feed except that episode 32 is missing - I can't see any reason for this; it's difficult to read Feedburner's XML but it does appear to be valid.

My SD card appears then disappears on Mavericks OS?

I've recently upgraded to Mavericks (starting to regret my decision) and when I stick in my SD card from my camera into my Macbook, the icon will appear for a few seconds, turn translucent then disappear completely. I've read other discussion but haven't found one quite like this. I did try turning off time machine but that did not work. Any help is appreciated!

Your USB bus is "dropping" off. When it does, it unmounts or ejects the disk.

I have been using PE and PRE 9 for e few years, I just purchased the upgrade bundle PE and PRE 10. My problems are :-
Having installed the PE 10 after falling into all the traps eg installing without Norton 360 running, Disabling Adobe Bridge, and learning to disable running programs without FEAR using the Task Manager. I thought I had conquered all the install problems. I then clicked on the ICON behold the organiser sprang into view, breifly about 2 sec then disappeared from the screen. The Task manager shows that the program is running.
I spoke to Support by chatting with someone for about 1 hour but ended up being told that they could not help me and gave me a phone number to ring in Australia. I rang this number to be told to wait asIi was being transferred, this wait was for 2 hours, I tried again and waited for 1 hour no answer.
I am waiting to see if any one can help befor trying to install PRE 10

Dear Ken I sent a long reply but I dont think I sent it correctly.
Here is the abbreviated version
1     Found and loaded the 2 shortcuts
2     still unable to load the program   the organizer starts is visable for 2 seconds then minimises and flys into cyberspace
3     The Task Manager displays that the program is running.
4     I have started receiving The instruction atxxxxxxxxx ref memory at xxxx could not be read and Font capture photoshopserver.exe application error reports.
5     I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times with no success
6     As I am in the middle of movie making quite ok with PRE 9 and PE9 with huge data files, I am not willing to risk losing any projects
7     Thanks for your help and maybe ifyourself any one else reading this (including Adobe Support) has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it
8      I have another computer almost identical which I installed the program on and it is working fine the I call this no 2 machine   the number 1 machine is giving me the trouble

Why after uploading to FTP does the site page appear then disappear?

Hello Everybody,
I am an amateur when it comes to Muse but am capable of making minor text and image changes, saving as HTML, then uploading to my FTP server. I have an accordion menu on my main page that I had previously made some changes to by adding content (text and a pic). Last Friday I went in to make similar changes as I had before. After I uploaded through Filezilla, I checked out my changes online and was confused by the result.
Basically the main page as it should look pops up for an instant then disappears. In its place is just one of the boxes from the accordion menu (not all of them); in this case, it is our Twitter feed.
I don't know if I pressed something to make this menu come forward, or mask the rest of the site, but I'm having lots of trouble figuring it out. Obviously the main site has not been deleted, but it is just being hidden somehow.
