    Hi Vikram,
    Try the below mentioned steps:
    1. Check the connections on BW sysetem and R/3 system.
Use the tcodes: sm58 and sm59. On the context menu of the source system created, check the option for conections. If connections are not fine, contact the basis team
    2. Go to 'source systems' select you source system and right click and select 'Repicate Data Sources' , then try replicating the the infosource for that

  • ALE Change Pointers in source system not active

    Hi All,
I am trying to load 0COSTELMNT using deltas. The initial load is OK and then i use a delta and it fails and i get the error:
"ALE Change Pointers in source system not active"
I have carried out the following steps in an attempt to resolve the problem - but it didnt. Anyone have any advice??
    (1) Checked BD61 – to confirm whether the change pointers are active
    (2) Checked BDCP to confirm the number range is maintained
    (3) Checked SALE (Activate change pointers for message types)  to confirm whether the change pointer has been activated for the type we need:
COCOKA     Control segment CO object/cost element
    COELEM     Cost element master data
    (4) In transaction snum, Selected number ranges and confirmed the intervals are setup
    No. 01
    FROM: 0000000001
    TO: 0000009999
    (5) Activate transfer structure
    (6) Replicate Datasources
    Thanks,

If you are transferring master data from source system, the BD61 setting on the source system should be checked.
Why it has been unchecked - not sure (likely someone did it by mistake).
It shouldn't have any effect on txnl delta. What will be effected though is that you will have lost delta of the ALE based data sources for the period this setting was unchecked.

  • Change to source system not possible

Our source system has a RFC problem conection, and when I try to change the parameters I have this meessage
Change to source system not possible
    Message no. RSAR743
    Diagnosis
The change to RFC parameters is not possible for source systems with manual meta data adjustment and data transfer from files.
    Any idea?
    thank you

    Hi
It looks like, you don't have proper authorisations to change the source system..Please check with authrisations...

  • How data extraction influence other processes in source system?

    hi,
does data extraction influence other functions of source system (e.g. some background jobs can not be executed due to tables lock)?
    Regards,
    Andrzej

    Hi andrzej,
The extraction process will not have much impact on the source system's other processes. But if u have got lots of data , it might have some effect while transferring the IDOCS. but as such, there should not be a problem of not data getting extracted. Is there any particular problem which ur phasing?

  • BW and RFC problem  -- Source system not created.

    Hi Friends,
Before posting this post , i have searched so many posts and docs and but still got a problem in creation of R3 source sytem in BI7.0.
Steps i followed in R3 are as follws:
    1) created  alogical system for R3 and BI7.0
2)assigned this logical system to clients 001 and 800
    001--Bi
    800--r3
3)created user BWALEREMOTE in  su01  with profile sap_all
Steps in BI7.0 are as follows:
    1) Created  logical systems  for Bi and r3
    2) assigned this logical systems to same clients
    3) created  user BWAleremote in su01  with profile SAp_ALL
    with respect to RFC's
    In R/3
SM59--created a RFC name  same as logical system names
for R3 RFC destination-- user is BWaleremote, client is 800
for BI RFC destination -- user is Bwaleremote , client is 001
when i checked the connections , i can sucessfully test the connections , But remote logins are having problems.
r3 to BW is possible, but it is prompting the  password for BI again
BW  to R3 is not possible.
To my knowledge and search in forums,RFC connections are succesful, then it should not prompt for any passwords..so iam  wrong
I also went into RSA!-- global settings-- i gave user as BWaleremote..
    Plz help me in this
    PAVAN

    Hi Pavan,
The RFC configuration is probably wrong. Check the username/pswd that you are using to connect to the other system. Try logging normally through the sap logon pad using that username/pswd that you have mentioned in the logon tab in RFC connection entry. See if you are able to logon. In the remote logon, it should not ask for any password.
If this succeeds, then create the source system in RSA1 in the BI box.

  • Source System not collected with business content Activation

I'm trying to activate some business content and have previously assign the source system (R/3). When I'm selecting an infosource and select as grouping in data flow before the source system is not collected.
This is a new BW 3.5 connected to a ECC. It has to be silly but I don't know what else to check. I was surprise to see that the source system was created with the icon of a BW system. But I think that this is just because the ECC appart of being an R/3 system is also a BW instance.
Well, any help appreciated and kindly rewarded.
    Thanks,
    Alberto Sabate

    Thanks but,
I have tryed multiple times activating my infosources selecting only one source system, all of the available or none at all. No matter what I do the system collects only the Infosource with the communication structure but does not go down to the transfer rules and assignment of the available datasource.
I don't know what to do now. I'm obviously selecting the grouping with "in data flow before".
    I'm running out of ideas.
    Thanks all,

  • RSDS  transport - source system not exist

    Hello Guys
i have a problem during transport of DataSource from DEV to QUA.
    The error is:
Start of the after-import method RS_RSDS_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) RSDS (Activation Mode)
Source system D18CLNT228 does not exist
I have check already the transport table RSLOGSYSMAP and insert item to map the DEV system with QUA system (this done in both system, develop and quality). I check also the source system ID and everything seems update correctly (in both system develp and quality).
Anyway during the transport i have this error and when check in QUA system i have the DataSource, seems map correctly with the right source system but is not active...
    do you have any suggestion
    please let me know
    regards
    B.

    Hi
check in your QUA system if corresponding source system is linked to it. Also currpospong trasports in source systems are moved properly.

  • Transfer rules to the new source system not visible in Transport connection

    Dear All,
Recently our source system has been changed from R3 4.7 to ECC 6.O. Corresponding to that all the activities in BI have finished successfully. All my datasources in 4.7 have been replicated in ECC 6 in BI and transfer rules re-assigned. I have also collected them in a Transport request.
Now when I am checking the entire flow in Transport connection, it shows me the transfer rules pointing to the old system only. That is, in RSA1 it shows the new system assignment. But in Transport connection not.
What I have to do so that I can crosscheck in Transport connection all my objects having transfer rules to new system ?
    Regards,
    Srinivas

I think you should check the source system assignment in the transport connection. It might have directed to the old sytem.
    Cheers

  • Source system not Active error while installing BI content cube

    Hi.,
When I try to install the BI content cube, In logs it is showing the error message as "Source client not Active". I activated the source system in modelling tab. Still the problem continues.  In source system assignment of BI content the source client is also checked. Please give me a solution.

    Hi Selva,
If you want to select only infocube, select "Only necessary objects" in grouping. If you want everything related to Info cube, then system will collect data source also and for that it will check if you are authorized in source system. Please check if the source system is connected to BI or you can do one thing activate the data source in source system and replicate it in BI.
    Regards,
    Kams

  • InfoSource and Source System Not getting collected while activation BC

    Hello there!
I'm trying to activate the business content. If i group all the objects below and install a cube (or update rules), it gets everything but infosources (Transfer Rules, etc.) and the source system assignment. Neverthless, if i assign datasource to infosource, it works properly.
I've installed the data sources, replicated it in BW, and done the source system assignment correctly. Any ideas what is going wrong?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    DKA.

The issue was with Repository Cache. Delete it and everything works fine.
Admin Workbench -> Business Content -> Extras -> Repository Cache (DB) -> Delete (Delivery Objects)
    Thanks, anyways.

  • ECC 6.0 Source Systems are added to 2 Different Folders - BI and SAP

    Hi Experts:
Our BASIS team added 2 ECC 6.0 Source Systems to BI 7.0. One of the ECC 6.0 System is added under BI Folder ( where DataMart Source stays) and other ECC 6.0 system is added under SAP folder where all other R/3 Source Systems are. I talked to BASIS team and they followed the same configuration in SM59 for both of the  RFC connections.
Other peice of Information, Both the ECC 6.0 systems are on same server but just different Client.
    This is how it looks:
    RSA1 -> SOURCE SYSTEM
                  -> BI Folder - 1st ECC 6.0 System
                  -> SAPFolder -  2nd ECC 6.0 System
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    1. Who can tell me which are the steps to execute in BW after the upgrade of the source system R/3 4.6 to Netweaver 2004s (ECC6) ?
    2. Do the delta loads continue to run or must be re-initialized?
    Thanks for your help
    Dominique

    hi Dominique,
you should take care not after upgrade, but also before upgrade
or your upgrade has been done ?
    also stated, before upgrade
If you use Logistic Cockpit, please make sure that you know notes 328181, 396647, 380078.
These are absolutely prerequisit notes for using Logistic Cockpit.
Never change the extract structure (communication structure) when there is data in SM13 or in the DeltaQueue!
Never upgrade your PlugIn System when you have data in SM13 or in the DeltaQueue!
SM13 and RSA7 have ALWAYS to be EMPTY BEFORE you apply any changes to communication structures, extract structures or any referenced Data Dictionary object or BEFORE you upgrade your PlugIn system!!!
SM13 and RSA7 have to be EMPTY also when you apply PlugIn Support Packages!
