Other File Types in Weblogic

Hi all,
I am new in webLogic, I try the tutorial http://www.webagesolutions.com/knowledgebase/wlskb/wlskb004/index.html and when every I use <b>Other File Types</b> unExpect error, and the server have to be turn down, why?
beside where is the location of some defaul database on WebLogic?
Thank you

Sorry for that, so here is my goal.
There is a folder contains may types of files: vi, lvlilb, txt and so on... I would like to make a VI that convert a given folder to LBB.
What file types can be placed insinde and LLB - is required for me to remove unwanted files
How to programmatically convert a directory into an LLB - I hope there is a VI what I can use as LLB Manager does for converting direcotries to LLB.
Yes you are right, the last question is not important...

For a variety of reasons, mostly related to security, the iOS operating system limits what can be done with respect to file uploading and downloading. But whenever you encounter a limitation like this always think, "There must be an app for this."
Check the apps James Ward suggests.

I'm unable to email PDF attachments, this has started in the last 2 weeks - any clues why as other file types are sending?

    Greetings,
That is rather strange. Attachments are attachments.  The big difference between what will send and what won't is usually either who you are sending it to (wrong email address) or how big the attachment is (most email providers have a limit to the total message size between 10 MB and 20 MB).
-- What happens when you say you are "unable to email PDF attachments"?  What error message do you get?
-- Are you sending these emails using the Mail program?
-- What is the file size of the PDF you are trying to send?
-- What happens if you compress the PDF before you email it (Highlight the PDF on the desktop and then go to File > Compress) ?
-- What happens if you send the PDF to yourself?
    Cheers.

Downloads - I want to open some PDFs/other file types from the internet but not have to save them. I can't figure out how to view them and close them without having to save them first. When I click on a file, the downloads box opens and depending on the setting, it auto saves the file or asks me where to save the file. What if I don't want to save it anywhere, I just want to view it and close it?

  • Enable hints in other file types

Hi I am doing some ASP code tweaks on a CMS skin, and the extention ASCX is used, however when I load it, there are no hints available.
is there a way to add file extensions to the edge code so I can get hints for other file types than the usual HTM PHP JS etc. ?

Yes, Edge Code supports extensions.  Here's an extension that will provide generic code hints just listing all the tokens in the current file: https://github.com/bigeyex/brackets-wordhint.  It should work for basically any file type.  This is similar to the simple hinting you get in editors like Sublime or TextMate.  If you're looking for more language-aware code hints, your best bet is to use an ASP-specific IDE like Visual Studio instead.

  • Plugins for viewing other file types?

Hi. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a plugin for Bridge that would allow me to preview other file types, specifically Blender 3D .blend files.
Windows Explorer can preview them, but not Bridge. And Bridge can preview all of the AI and PSD files that Windows Explorer can't.
I'd like to use bridge since it is faster for previewing and changing meta data, etc.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

I'd like to use bridge since it is faster for previewing and changing meta data, etc
If the files don't show in the content window they probably are not supported. First try a purge cache for folder using the tool menu / cache/ purge cache for folder and if still no luck check the file type associations in the Bridge preferences.
If your file is not on the list the only option is to add a feature request somewhere on this forum. The more people want it the bigger chance it will get realized sometime.
I'm not aware of any plug in to add file types to Bridge. Don't think scripts can solve this but you could also visit the scripting forum for this.

  • Add file types to weblog media upload

Is there a way to add more file types to the acceptable file types that can be uploaded to the weblog server?

First which version of MS Office are you using?
In MS Office does the PDF Maker work?
Have you enabled PDF Maker in MS Office?
MS Office does not automatically allow PDF Maker macros to work by default. One has to enabale the PDF Maker macros.
The PDF Maker macros may not recognize the new MS Office file types, so you will have to save your files to the Office 2003/XP types.

  • Data Recover From Formatted Drive? What is the best program to use to get back Logic Projects and any other file type?

I was in the process of reorganising my hard drives so I could RAID them however I managed to corrupt one drive and had to format it which meant I lost all my Logic Files and some other files. I managed to save a lot of files (mainly video files) before I had to format the drive but I need a Data Recovery service that will not alter anything on the hard drive and will put all the formatted files (regardless of the type) back for me so I can get the rest of the ones I need.
    Thanks in advance.

    What about folders and such?
No. FS doesn't reconstruct folders. However, Data Rescue does, depending on how you use it. About the only thing in Data Rescue a Quick Scan ever seems to show you are files that are already live.
So that leaves you with a Deep Scan, or a Deleted Files scan. The first pass of a Deep Scan will attempt to retrieve folders and files, along with their original names. The second pass only looks for file patterns. Like recognizing a Photoshop .psd file. It will recover it, but give it a nonsense name. A Deleted Files scan only results in nonsense names of recognized file types; no folders.
What were you using File Salvage on? A hard drive?
Yes, though you can use it on a flash drive, or any other mounted drive.
At the moment it is estimating 289 hours remaining on a 1TB drive. Can it not go faster?
No, both of the software mentioned are slower than molasses in January. When you delete anything in Windows, its file table entry simply tagged as deleted. So to unerase them, the tag is removed. That's why it works to quickly and easily (assuming you haven't already overwritten the data to be recovered).
In OS X though, the whole idea of the underlying UNIX structure is all about security. It's not supposed to be easy to retrieve deleted items. When you delete items, their file table entries are erased. So the only way to find deleted items is to scour the entire drive for BOF (Beginning Of File) markers that don't have a matching starting block to anything that is in the file table.
Another question, half the drive was empty. Will it fly over that empty space or will it sieve through it incase there was some files stored on it?
If you use the Expert mode is FS, you can choose to do that:

  • Spotlight/Finder Doesn't Search In ASP and other file types?

.asp and .c file types are nothing more than .txt files with different extentions..
Am I correct in thinking that Spotlight doesn't search inside these files? I have a folder full of asp files and spotlight doesn't seem to find anything when I type text that I know is inside one (as a test)
It does appear to search INSIDE .html files in the same folder.. Can you add different file extentions that spotlight will search into?
If not, then "Spotlight" is much ado about nothing as google desktop search, X1 and the msn desktop search (Windows) released years ago search inside ALL files..

Spotlight makes a content index for files using mdimporter, and that process depends on mdimporter modules for the specific file type. Thus in /Library/Spotlight you will see a collection, such as Microsoft Office.mdimporter, of "extras" for special file types. There are also the built-in ones in /System/Library/Spotlight. If you installed Xcode/Developer Tools, there should be a SourceCode.mdimporter, which I imagine would index the asp and c files. If not, some people have modified it to also index php files, see this discussion:
    http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20050514182520714&query=spotlight%2 Bphp%2Bfiles
at MacOSXHints. I think you could do something similar (at your own risk of course) for other pure text based files. Be sure to expand the the replies and read them.

  • What is the "other" file type?

When I go to [ > About This Mac > More Info... > Storage], I get this bar (that is just like the one in iTunes for the data storage on your device), telling me how much space my different file types take up.
Most of the space is taken up by the yellow "Other". What documents are this type? I don't have hundreds of .pages - or anything - documents.

  • 'Other' file type support? AI, INDD, FLA, SWF, FW, HTML, PHP

this may seem like an odd question, but I'm just wanting to gauge 'how far' you can push FCS as a general purpose asset manager.
If anyone has or could try these file types with it and let us know the outcome, I'd greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks

Final Cut Server is able to create an Asset out of any file. You can apply metadata, search for it, version it, check it in and out etc, drag the asset to local applications, etc.
Depending on the format and the quicktime components you have installed, it may or may not generate thumbnails and proxies, and you may or may not have the ability to transcode to a different format.
For example, you can happily store a HTML or PHP file as an asset, check it in and out, but you won't be able to convert to something else and the thumbnail will be the default white asset thumbnail.

  • Writing an .xls file or other file type

    hi all,
is there another file type i can write out instead of Excel file? I have more than the limiting no. of 65,536 data pts that excel can save or am i just stuck with buying the DIA-DEM product from NI? I routinely use IGOR data plotting and manipulation s/w that can import any space or comma delimited asci text files.
thanks for any help on this subject.

You can write to any file format that you want - text, binary, xml, database, etc. There's Write to Spreadsheet file for delimited text files (comma, space, tab, or whatever) and several shipping examples show how to write binary files.

  • Convincing spotlight to index other file types

I have a large number of LaTeX documents on my computer, but Spotlight seems unwilling to index them. How can I convince spotlight to go ahead and index/search files with a .tex extension just like it would any other ASCII text file?
Details: LaTeX source code is standard ASCII text, but the files have a ".tex" extension. These files never seem to show up in Spotlight searches, even if I search for terms that I'm certain are included. I'm guessing that Spotlight sees the extension, says "I don't know how to index files of this type" and moves on. How can I tell it to index (and then subsequently search) these files just like normal .txt files? (I'd probably like to do the same with other "source code" file extensions too...) Thanks!

I found that Spotlight would index thousands of my old LaTeX files if I dragged them to another location and then dragged them back again. Unfortunately, I found that just moving the folders they were in was not sufficient.
This move added the metadata "public.plain-text" to all the .tex files, even though, since OS X 10.4, cp amd mv is supposed to preserving metadata and forks (according the man pages of CpMac and MvMac).
I did this after I had modified TeXShop's Info.plist by adding the public.plain-text string to the UTTypeConformsTo key. This is described in the Link: [macosxhints: Add Quick Look support for certain file formats|http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20071028184428583] and by Tristan Hubsch in the Link: [Apple Discussion Topic: How to Spotlight (and QuickView) Hidden and Programming Files?|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6880380]. I don't know if this is necessary for the change.

  • Files of "other" file type filling my iPad

I have a 64G iPad 2. When I look at the files that are filling it up, the largest type is "Other", taking 38G
I've turned off music and podcast syncing, Apps are about 12G. Photos. 1.85G. What could possibly be in the "other" category and how do I reduce it?
iOS 8 installation seems to have multiplied this effect.

    What is "Other"
    1. Cache for apps, browser, mail, messages, reading list
    2. Saved games
    3. Documents and data
    4. Notes
    5. Voice Memos
You can backup and restore to reduce "other" but they will start building up over time.

  • Is it possible that a document (in this case an Appleworks or Movie Magic Screenwriter) can be lost forever, but it's contents somehow remain as other file types elsewhere? I have an old hard drive and I need to locate the contents of these files.

I have a 20 gig hard drive from a 2001 iBook. When my iBook crashed back in '04, there was a screenplay on there that was not saved anywhere else. It has tremendous sentimental value to me, and I would really like to retrieve it. I've ran some data recovery software that's uncovered a gargantuan amount of data, most of it being completely unreadable to me.
Additionally, I have found an AppleWorks file that could be the script, but it is ZERO bytes in size, and Pages won't even open it, saying that it is not a valid AppleWorks file.
So I'm curious...is it possible that the document is lost, but somehow the contents of it are somewhere else on the drive as metadata in other unreadable formats. And if that's the case, how would I go about translating the unreadable data back into something that IS readable?

if the size of this file is really ZERO bytes, either the original file contained an empty data fork and a resource fork which was stored elsewhere (*) or the file is too damaged to retrieve anything.
