Looking for more fluid viewing on mobile devices that the Lightroom HTML Gallery. Any suggestions?

How can I create an HTML gallery for video? (in Lightroom..?)

Hi,
I use Lightroom for photography and am able to create HTML and Flash web galleries using the Web module. I find this very useful. However, my day job requires I shoot video and needs a way to create HTML galleries that will play video (.mov) files when the thumbnail image is clicked. I can import the videos to LR and it creates the gallery happily but only goes as far as showing the thumbnail image. It doesn't handle the video at all it seems.
Is there a way to do this? If not in LR, in Bridge or something else?

You may need JavaScript/HTML5.
The landscape is changing for video including 14k as an advance on 1080p.
LR6 may have some advances, when launched although unlikely to usurp Premiere Pro/After Effects/Speed Grade.

This is a windows system running 64 bit Windows 7

Is it wise to keep the Nikon camera files "DSC's" after downloading them and converting to DNG files via Adobe converter for lightroom use. In other words do the DNG files have all the raw data I would ever need in processing or should I save the camera'

DNG files do not contain some metadata supplied by the camera, which can be used by the manufacturer's software. Thus, if you don't keep the original Raw photo, you will lose this information.
If your 1000% sure you're never going to use the manufacturer's software, then this isn't a problem. But who can be sure what software you will be using 10 years from now?

Embed SlideShowPro for Lightroom in iWeb page?

I would like to embed a SlideShowPro for Lightroom gallery in an iWeb page.
Does anyone know if (and how) this would be possible?
Previously, I have used Soundslides for making photo galleries - getting the embed code is extremely simple and embedding into an iWeb page takes seconds.
SlideShowPro is proving to be far more difficult...

So you have a webpage you can display in the browser.
If you want to display it inside a iWeb page, you have to use the HTML Snippet. Paste this line in it
<iframe src="top.html" frameborder="0" width="100%" height="159" scrolling="no">></iframe>
The src is the link to your slideshow page and the width and height depend on the size of that slideshowpage.

SlideShowPro for Lightroom experience.

I'm looking for people who have used SlideShowPro's Lightroom module to create Flash galleries for the web. I'm specifically interested in the ease of creating the slideshow in Lightroom, then publishing it within an existing html document. In other words I want to drop the SWF file into a table cell on my web site so I can maintain my existing banner and navigation bars created in Dreamweaver.

I have used SlideshowPro in LR but have not actually created the a separate HTML as you described. I would suggest you visit the forums at http://slideshowpro.net you may be able to find some experiences there. Also, I did see in the manual a section on how to use the slideshow in a separate HTML doc. You may be able to get an idea of the ease to do it from that.

Some galleries are displayed via JavaScript, so if they aren't working the make sure that you aren't blocking JavaScript.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).<br />
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

There will be no further camera support updates for Lightroom 4 beyond what is already listed in this table.

Only current versions of Lightroom (currently Lightroom 5.3) will have further camera support added.
If you need to work with Raw files from new cameras you'll either have to upgrade to Lightroom 5 or join the Photoshop Photography Program (to get PC CC + LR5 + extras) or convert to DNG using Adobe's free DNG converter.

Iweb 08 and SlideShow Pro 1.0.3 plugin for Lightroom 1.3.1

I have an iweb site I did last year using iweb 06 and slide show pro with the iphoto plugin and then used the slide show pro in Flash. www.mattmosher.com
That worked great just paste the html code into the exported iweb site and put the slide show folder and swf file in the folder and it worked great.
NOW
iweb 08 and slide show pro for lightroom gives you a realtime visuals of your slide show. Awesome plugin.
However when I paste the code into my html document the slide show does not show up. It also generates 2 swf files named loader and slideshow pro. Along with 2 xml files named param.xml, images.xml along with a js file swfobject.js
I really do not know how to fix the problem.
Does anyone have any knowledge on this topic???

I don't want to sound mean, but you should'nt have got any firmware updates from any other site other than Apple's or through iTunes, I'm afraid. I think that's where the problem has come from.

I have a 9.99 subscription for lightroom and photoshop. I only use lightroom and would like to try new version 6, which I think I should be eligible under subscription plan. I can't figure out how to upgrade my existing copy. Creative Cloud doesn't offer this option.

Serial Number for Lightroom 5.7.1 HELP!

When I bought my new camera, I got a package with CD's and serial numbers for Lightroom 5 and premiere elements 12. I only used the Lightroom one, and of course I lost the CD. I just recently formatted my hard drive and when I wanted to download Lightroom again (I thought I could do it online and just use the serial number that I had in this package) I got the 5.7.1 version. The serial number I already had did not work for this version. Can this be fixed or do I have to buy a new serial number?

Can't get serial number for lightroom.

Adobe revel for lightroom 5, unsafe

I recently upgraded to lightroom 5, so..had to download & reinstall the Adobe Revel export plugin. After a frustrating time installing the thing..it worked for one day. Then...my Norton Security quarantined it, stating it was exhibiting unusual behaviour, and it was from an untrusted source ( cloudnet.net) so, am stuck because when i try to install the plugin from "cloudnet.net".. my Norton security quarantines it. I delved into the workings of "cloudnet.net", and found that it is associated with "Delta Search" another site noted for malware & spyware, and other malicious adware. Where can i get a safe Revel plugin for lightroom?...

It appears that the Delta Search software found its way to your computer independently of Revel or Lighrroom and may be interfering with your installation of hte plugin.
