Other options for emailed itunes gift card?

I received an itunes gift card via email. Unlike a physical gift card, it does not have a redemption code. Just a 'redeem' button.
I don't want to redeem this code. I would like to gift it to someone else or perhaps sell it. But I need a physical card with a redemption code.
Apple says my only choice is to redeem it to my itunes account. I didn't want to ask the purchaser to request a refund.
Are there any other options for this gift card email? thanks!

thank you for your reply. i know you could stream in between computers. i guess i just want one device to do everything and i am torn as to whether or not to buy the basestation. i guess the odds of a newer one coming out with the music feauture in the next few months is probably way beyond slim to none!

I'm on my iPod and I made a new Apple ID cause I reset my iPod. I go to download an app, but when it says use exsiting apple ID or Creat a new Apple ID, I say exsisting. it says that my Apple ID was not review by iTunes store I put all the info in so it can read it then it says "iTunes Gift Cards and iTunes Gifts code, I don't have one... what do I do?????

The gift card field is optional, you don't have to fill it in - and as cards are not available in all countries (and they are country-specific, they can only be used in their country of issue) you might not be able to fill it in anyway.
If it's a new account, and you didn't use the instructions on this page when creating it :http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534, then you will need to enter payment details on the account before you will be able to download any item from the store with it.

Seperate Apple IDs for seperate Itunes gift cards with one Icloud account

My wife and I both have Iphone 4s and we have one central Itunes account with all of our music on one Icloud account. We like to listen to "OUR SHARED" music on each of our Iphone's. Now here is our major problem:
We each have recieved Itunes gift cards and would really like to keep the spending sepearate but both of us have access to music and videos to each of us have purchased. We would like the ability to share the music between the two of us. We are trying to avoid the accident of purchasing the same song twice for example. Waste of money in my opinion.
I have spoken to a few apple helpers at the local apple store and were said you can do just look up the Apple support commnities. But I have not found any luck.
I then went ahead and spoke to two Apple tech support by phone one said she was not sure then the second which was a manager said that the Icloud is not made for music it is only made for contacts, notes, backup iphone or ipad, etc.
I thought she was full of hot air. We can download all of our music through Itunes match in the icloud. I tried to explain to her but she was oblivious. Sad that someone in the Apple Tech support does not know her own product.
This is the first time in four years I have become semi frustrated with an apple product. Everything else has been awesome to date.

A couple of years ago, I redeemed an itunes gift card, but I no longer use the email address that I redeemed it under. There's still a substantial amount of money left on the gift card, but it is possible to somehow re-redeem the amount that is left through another apple ID that I am currently using?

How to get a refund for an iTunes gift card

I got an iTunes gift card but can't buy anything on iTunes. How do I go about getting a refund?

I was taken to a page showing my account information, with a "Done" button at the bottom. I clicked on Done. If I remember right, it sent me back to my still full shopping cart. No confirmation of purchase appeared. No message of any kind appeared. I went thru this drill twice. The shopping cart still shows my items, and my $15 credit from my gift card still shows (though rather useless at this point). And I don't see any "Purchased Items" area that I'm told should be there. I probably should mention this is my first purchase from iTunes. Certainly not my first, or 100th, online purchase.
I've already invested more time in this than it's worth. I've read online that Apple never gives refunds on gift cards. If that's the case, then I need to hear that from them so I can tell them what I think of them, warn my family and friends never to buy iTunes gift cards again, and move on. I tried to contact them last night but it was too late. I plan on calling them today to verify their policy. If they refuse to give my son's money back, I consider it outright theft.

Are you able to take it back to the store that you bought it from and ask them to activate it properly ? I am SO mad - made my first app purchase and they never gave me the option for using a gift card. i'm sure they charged my cr card. can I get that straightened out??

I don't think that anyone here can answer that question. We are not Apple employees and would not know what the actual process is that takes place when you send a gift card. I don't think that is totally unusual for the card to take a couple of hours to go through, but like I said, I don't know what the behind the scenes process is that is involved.
Why you have to keep sending the card is another matter but maybe it has something to do with your email provider and a delay on the server.

You can manually copy and paste the code and email it to your sister that way.

Trying to use the page at apple.com for two days. It's the link for info on how to send a email iTunes gift card. However when I click it (over windows, iPad, iPhone) it opens iTunes to a page full of HTML codes

This possibly the dumbest thing Apple can do. I just found out the hard way my father in law will not be getting his christmas present. Yes I should have read the fine print, but I honestly thought Apple was smarter than that.
Obviously they haven't seen the money making potential of this so now I will ask for a refund and take my money elsewhere.
