Other programs use iTunes scripting?

My pc runs windows 7. I have 64bit itunes v 10. When iTunes is open I can't use Firefox. It won't run scripts. when I close iTunes it reports other programs are using its scripting. There is a count down and then iTunes closes. There after, Firefox works.

well, you're the first one I''m seen reporting this, so that makes me think it is unique to your PC. So I doubt an updated iTunes version is going to "fix" this.
The way to find things like this is by using MSCONFIG as explained in these directions. But it is tedious to find it, requires a lot of PC restarting. You said it's not a big deal, so you might not want to spend the time.

After downloading update on ITunes 10 on windows 7 it freezes. Or something pops up and says one or more application are using itunes scripting interface quit.

Have you got something like iTunes Folder Watch installed and in background monitoring mode? Other possibilities would be any plugin for Firefox/Live Messenger/Other App that posts what you are listening to.

I am curious if other programs use the F7 ket for the Caret control?

I apparently solved my scrolling problem with the F7 key. I also noticed a big improvement with my mouse control in another program.

Yes they do. What I know IE8 uses the F7 function.

How do i open and control other programs using labview?

I'm presently trying to use labview to try to open and operate another program,but having much difficulty.The external program i'm using is called the Foundation program.
This Foundation program will use VHDL programming to create a virtual chip and then synthesising it.This program will then simulate the output of this VHDL program to verify that it is working as desired.Then the last stage is to download the whole VHDL program into a FPGA chip using a xilinx cable.
All this need to be done using a labview program - to open the Foundation program and then extract the saved file and then to execute the download command to cause the VHDL program to be downloaded onto the FPGA chip.How do i go
about doing all this?What is the first step i must do.Also all this have to be done thru networking..looks like its too difficult..I really need help.

I haven't done VHDL so pardon my ignorance.
LabVIEW can call external DLL via "Call Library Function" or C programs via "Code Interface Node", both located in "Advanced" function.
If your program is a DOS program, use "System Exec.vi" found in "Communication" function. If you need to format your DOS command prior to sending it, use the "Format Into String" function in "String" function palette.
Lastly, if you're trying to extract data, assuming it is text, use "File I/O" functions. If the data is binary, use "File I/O -> Binary File VIs".

Trigger ABAP program using UNIX script

I want to trigger an Abap program whenever a unix file comes to SAP.
Can any1 please tellme how to write a unix script to trigger the ABAP program.

you will need to create a batch job in SM37 for the ABAP program, and use an event for the start criteria.
The event can be created in SM62
Then in unix, you will need to call an executable SAPEVT.
This will be in the directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/exe/run
you will need to use the appropriate profile for the SAP system to run the sapevt utility.
example :-
sapevt abap_event -t pf=/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile/<SID>_DVEBMGS00_<SYSNAME> nr=00

I am trying to execute a set of commands from java program
eg: from command prompt
java CommandExecutor c:\winnt\notepad.exe c:\some.exe c:\onemorecommand.exe
and inside the CommandExecutor main method..
public static void main(String []arg)
for(i = 0; i < arg.length; i++)
Runtime.getRuntime().exec(arg(i));
the above code is executing all the command one after the other, but I want to execute the above commands squentially, i.e I want to execute the second command only after finishing the first command and the third after finishing the second and so on depending upon the arguments passed, how can I acheive this...
I have tried to use the Process which is returned by the exec(arg) method but the exitValue() returns same value before execution and after execution.

Did you try to get the process returned and then try
process.waitFor() method. This waits for the process to finish.
After that try the next execution

Copy music from one iPod to other iPod using iTunes

Hi, previously I had uploaded some of my private music files n videos on my iPod, which I wanted to transfer to another iPod. Unfortunately I do not have the backup on that music n video on my PC. Can anyone help me out?

You can't sync your music back from an iPod to iTunes or from one iPod to another, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the files from your iPod and copy them back to iTunes, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.

I believe there that WMP files are compatible with itunes. i know that when i first loaded itunes on to my laptop, it asked if i wanted it to search for all the music on my computer. i clicked yes and it found all of my WMP files and converted them into AAC format.
also, you can click and drag your WMP files into itunes and it should automatically change their format.
