Other software for iPhone

Is there any good way to tell what is safe to use with my iPhone and what is not supported? I see all kinds of new iPhone apps coming out left and right, but to my knowledge there are only one or two apps that Apple has released. Of course web apps are fine, but am I correct in assuming that anything that actually gets installed on the iPhone is not supported?

There's a beta 3rd party AIM client. A remote control for your Mac. But they seem to involve bypassing some sort of locks on the iPhone -- which I'm not willing to do, as the point Steve Jobs made about installing native uncertified apps on a mobile phone can pose problems if it introduces conflicts since a phone is supposed to, you know, work.

I get an error message saying iTunes doesn't include the software for iPhone. It says to uninstall and re-install iTunes. I have done it twice and both times I get the same error.

Where to find MEdical softwares for iPhone

Prior to iPhone, I had a Windows Pocket PC Phone, with loads of medical softwares on it. The biggest dissappointment of getting the iPhonw I have is not many medical softwares are there for iPhone.

I am connected so I ran diagnostics which verifies my Network Interface but Internet Connection Failed as did secure link to Itunes store.
In addition whenever I go into Itunes after a few seconds my AOL home page keeps popping up.
As you see my ISP is AOL and my connection is through a Netgear wifi router.
Please advise appropriate action

I have an iPhone 3GS which includes video recording, so have no experience of any video recording Apps.
The only thing I know is that apparently they are all limited to 15 frames-per-second recording, due to the slower processor speed of the iPhone 3G.

Again, as you've already been told..unless you jailbreak your phone, you don't need any security software.

That would give you Boot Camp 3.0 drivers. With Snow Leopard and Boot Camp 3.0 you can install Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. With Lion and Boot Camp 4.0 you can only install Windows 7. If you install Lion with Boot Camp 3 and XP or Vista already on it it will work.

Did you try the solution given, and if yes, did it work?
I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.
I am happy to suspend AV and FW software, but would like to know if it is a good fix or not first?

Problem downloading software for iPhone

Is anyone else finding it impossible to update iPhone software to 4.3.2 from 4.3.1? I keep getting the following message:
"There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone. An unknown error occurred (12003). Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later".
iPad update performed without a hitch.
Perhaps the Genius Bar can perform the update for me?

I had this same problem and solved it when I realized that the software upgrade download was about 600MB, but I had less free space available on the iPhone.
So I deleted some large music files to make space available, then started the upgrade again and it worked fine.
One caveat: since I had "Automatically fill free space with songs" checked in iTunes, under the iPhone "Music" tab, simply deleting songs from the iPhone's playlist did not clear up the space. Other songs got loaded to fill up the space. I had to uncheck "Automatically fill free space with songs" as well as delete songs in order to free up the space.
