Other tools/option to achieve Health check

Hi guys,
I saw that there are a lot threads open regarding health check.
I`m searching for an open source tool/commercial tool, manually created scripts that can check all oracle prerequisite (system information, oracle kernel parameters, packages) and Oracle database parameters. For performance analyze, top events, sql statements I stay on AWR or Statspack.
There are already softs that helps to do health check, operating systems prerequisite checks like, Toad, raccheck, rda but I want to know If there are any other great tools/scripts.

Nothing happens when I press File/New Tab. Under Tools/Options/Tabs I have checked 'open windows in a new tab instead' and 'always show tab bar.' Pressing File/New Window does open a new window. How can I get new tabs to open? That's how I like to work.

Leliforever, cheek you list of installed add-ons, the Ask toolbar can be installed without the users knowledge.

Under tools, options the box for popups keeps becoming unchecked

I select tools, options and place a check mark in the popups section and select OK. This works for a short while. Then I start getting popups. I check back under tools, options and now there is no check mark in the popups option. Place check mark again and select OK. Then again the check mark turns off.

You may have an external application that is turning off that Firefox preference after a computer restart. If that happens only after Firefox is re-started, there might be a hidden preference added to Firefox via a user.js file. <br />

Tool options won't open.

When i right click on any of the tools with a little arrow in the corner to open the other tools options nothing opens: i cannot open the other pen tools for example.
I bought the adobe creative suite 6 master collection, and this function works fine in Photoshop but it does nto work in Illustrator.
Why?
(i admit I am new to Illustrator but I know this should work the same way as in PS but somehow it does not)
Please help?
Do I have a "bad copy", is there a bug/glitch?

I want to have all my tabs return after closing. In Tools/Options/General/ I have' Show my Windows and Tabs from last time' checked, but it does not work. When I open FF again none of my formerly open Tabs show... FF v.4.

When I open FF up again after I have closed it, I want all tabs to return. In Tools/Options/General/ I have' Show my Windows and Tabs from last time' checked-does not work. In addition, the feedback window fails to 'Submit...!'

Firefox won't open PDF files after I removed older version of PDF-xChange Viewer and installed the lastest version of PDF-xChange Viewer. MS Explorer which I am now force to use works OK. I have checked the Applications window in Tools/Options and it l

Firefox no longer opens PDF files. Explorer works OK. I have checked the Applications window in the Tools/Options and it says I am using PDF-xChange viewer....It just does not do anything. I get the message in the Download Error window which says...."could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder. Is the same error which I get when I attempt to open a PDF file on a webpage using the Firefox browser....Explorer works OK so I am now forced to Explorer to read PDF files via a browser.

The error message suggests that the file (pdf) that you're trying to download cannot be saved in the folder Firefox tries to save it in.
This can be due to several things - it could be a non-existing folder (could be a problem with the updated application), the hard drive could be too full to store the file (less likely if you can generally surf the net without error messages) or it could contain an error.
To complicate things a little further, it seems to me that you have (at least) 3 different PDF-handling plugins in Firefox from different programs:
PDF-XChange Viewer Netscape Gecko Plugin
Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape "9.3.2"
Zeon PDF Plugin For Mozilla
This shouldn't matter too much, thou, as it will most likely simply use either the latest installed or the first one it finds when looking up associations for files of type 'pdf'.
First, in Tools > Options... > tab General > section File download, select "Save files in" and Browse your way to a (non-writeprotected!) folder on a drive where you're certain there is enough free space - like the Desktop folder to make the files end up on your Windows desktop.
Second, under Applications as you mention yourself, find all document types related to PDF files, and set these to one of the programs. Check the entire list to be sure there isn't one hiding under one of the other programs' document types (Adobe Acrobat document, PDF X-Change and Zeon).
Restart Firefox, and try opening a PDF again.
If it fails once more, try changing the documents again to one of the other programs, like "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)".
If it STILL fails, change it to simply "Save file". Then you can simply browse your way to the download folder with Windows Explorer, and doubleclick the PDF file to see which program actually handles PDF files as default on the machine, and if it works properly.
If Firefox flatly refuses to save the PDF files in a folder which you're certain both exist and has space for the file, some (probably security related) program is most likely interfering with Firefox, preventing it in storing PDF files on the system.

In TOAD, Need to Enable DB Health check option

I am using TOAD 10.1.1.8 DBA Suite.
As my TOAD DBA Suite, DB Health check option should be there under
Database -> Diagnose -> DB Health Check.
But its not showing this option.
Kindly guide me as How to enable DB Health check.

DPM 2007/2010 Health Check Tools

Hi there,
I've had a look through the existing forum threads, but am unable to find an answer to my query.
I am looking to find a range of DPM health check tools, or Powershell Scripts, that would help me perform a Health Check on a 2007 environment, with a view to an eventual upgrade path to 2010/2012
I am hoping to avoid analysing each event ID and every backup operation in order to make a report to management.

I can't keep Yahoo mail account open 2 weeks in a row even with a mark in box KEEP ME OPEN. I did go to Tools, Options, Security to check SAVED PASSWORD box

Usually, after opening Firefox, to check my Yahoo mail, I log in with my password, and mark the little box in front of KEEP ME OPEN, I can check my mail, and then close Firefox. Whenever I open Firefox, I can access my Yahoo mail account without typing my password. It stays open for 2 weeks. From yesterday, whenever I close Firefox, to access my mail account, I must log in again no matter whatever I've tried such as: Tools-Options-Security-Saved Password, or log out, then log in, type PW, mark little box to KEEP ME OPEN. I even uninstall Firefox, restart, download and re-install Firefox 8.0. The problem can never be solved. It's very annoying to log in by typing again and again my PW. Please help me out since I don't know what causes this problem. Thanks everybody who can help me out.

Benji, I did get the email server error message again last night around 8PM, but again the email does eventually go. Wondering if the 6PM to 9PM time frame is a busy time for Yahoo email servers and somehow our iTouch or portable devices take a lower priority? I seem to get the error only once a day now around that time, then everything seems fine again...could be a server issue.
Still looking for a pattern with the blank white web pages when I try and view a previous web page. Seems to happen most when I look at the "iPod touch User Guide" (on the included bookmarks)...most of the other times the previous web page loads fine so....humm....
I also had an issue with the Camera app today, the red light button and Picture/Video switch were staying dimmed...finally turned off the iTouch (holding down the Home button then pressing the Sleep/Off button on top) then turned it back on, so the iOS could reboot. That fixed the Camera app. Might want to try that too....seems like it might be a fix for a few things, especially after updating to iOS 4.2.1...

I'm having a problem with FF forgetting Username & Passwords to occasional sites, checked Tools options which is set correctly.

Twice this last few days, on different sites, FF3.6.10 has forgotten well used Usernames and passwords. First time it re-learnt after manually sign in.
Second time FF totally refuses to learn the Username and Password for the site. Tried 3 times after checking Tools>Options
Not blocked via site exceptions
Privacy> Clear history when FF closes>Settings>Data> PSWD NOT set

Do you mean names and passwords in the Password Manager or do you mean that you are no longer logged on to (remembered by) websites after closing and restarting Firefox?
If the latter happens then you have a problem with cookies that are not kept or the file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
* Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
* You must allow that cookie (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions), especially for secure websites and if you let cookies expire when Firefox closes
* Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"

For some websites that I visit every day, it is a pain to have to log in every time. (e.g., Zap2it, which provides TV listings in your local area). However, I like setting Tools/Options/Privacy to keep all cookies until I close Firefox. I would like to be able to configure Firefox so that all cookies would be removed EXCEPT those I specify. If I could do this, I would not have to log in every time.

You can't use [[Clear Recent History]] if you want to keep specific cookies by setting an exception.
"Clear Recent History" is all or nothing.
You can let the cookies expire if you close Firefox if you need to preserve specific cookies.

I cannot access the PRIVACY menu from the Tools-Options menu to make changes to cookies and history. I can access every other menu on that page (General, Tabs, Content, Applications, Security, and Advanced. But Not PRIVACY. Please help.

I need to reset/change/clear my cookies, probably clear my cache, and change my history preferences. This can be caused by in incompatible/malfunctioning add-on. To test if this is the case follow the procedure in the [[troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article.

I have a standard Oracle form open, and I want to open my own custom form, leaving the standard form open, so users can navigate back and forth between the two. I can accomplish this, but I need to go to the Tools menu and uncheck the "Close Other Forms" option. Just wondering if there's a way to do this programatically? Thanks.

Do you want to make the option 'not visible' or 'visible but not enabled'...?
For the first option you probably would need to do form personalizations...
For the second option you can refer to the following metalink note... "Note ID 264461.1"...

You can disable or remove that button, but that won't prevent users from making the changes on the about:config page directly.<br />
You can lock the related network.proxy prefs if you do not want users to change the connection settings.
