Other ways to restore?
Hi guys, I've had a lot of issues with my iPhone 4S since iOS 7 upwards has been released. Apple have told me to set up the phone as new and not to install my backup to the phone. Any help as to how I can get my pics, Vids & contacts back on the phone
Thank you for your reply Wjosten
When you say Import the date i presume you mean back it up with iTunes then click the sync buttom afterwards?
I'm useless when it comes to this stuff haha

Hi,my friend has forgot his ipad 4 password, how can he use his ipad?any other ways expect restore??
Forgotten passcode (Recovery Mode)
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device. -
My mail has been building up in storage since switching to iOS 7 . I don't use a computer , only the iPad . They say to sync I pad to computer then restore ios7 , any other way to do it ? I've had 2 iPads , 2 years never used a computer again . Never been synced. I don't even think my computer works any more
This is the main reason to not use a POP email service. In most cases, unless you specifically set it up not to, POP download all messages and deletes them from the server. Neither iCloud, not iTunes backs up actual email messages, only the account settings.
If you need to restore and don't have another computer or device with those emails, they are lost forever.
If you don't have a computer, you won;t be able to restore iOS 7 anyway. But you don't need your own, you can have a friend do it for you.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

I accidentally deleted part of an iphone (4s) note. Is there a way to restore the deleted text? I learned too late about being able to shake the iphone in order to undo my action, so is there any other way?
Restoring a phone from a backup will put the device back to the state it was when the backup took place, i.e. all info that you had on that phone before using the backup will be gone.
You could try to restore the phone, which will back up the actual data on the phone, including the passcode, and use this backup to set up a new phone with. The passcode will still be the same, because it is part of the backup.
More info here, iPhone and iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
Not being able to fill in the passcode is not much different from forgetting it.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

My ipod nano 5th generation will no longer play any of it's loaded songs. It still plays the video that is on it, and the radio works. It is not recognized by itunes and I have gone through all their help steps. Is there some other way to restore it?
If the iPod is defective and not abused Apple will exchange it at no cost under your warranty.

Won't read install disk in drive-any way to restore HD to factory settings?
I am trying to wipe my iMac's hard drive and restore the computer to factory settings so that I can donate it to a nonprofit with none of my data. However, even though the CD/DVD drive works fine with other CDs/DVDs, when I install the iMac "Software Install and Restore" disk (#1), the computer isn't able to read it. It doesn't pop up on the desktop and when I try to restart holding down the C key, it doesn't work either. Is there any other way to restore the computer to factory settings?
I inserted the same disk in my laptop and it is readable there, so clearly a problem with the disk drive, but yet it's able to read other disks... I'm stumped...Unfortunately, neither of these worked. The problem is that the drive is not reading this disk, for whatever reason. When I tried to reboot from the disk by pressing "option", I only get the HD as a choice and after attempting to read the install disk, the CD/DVD drive gives up and the drive tray opens. When I tried putting the disk in and going to System Preferences and Startup Disk, the only two choices I get are "Macintosh HD" and "Network Startup". No sign of the disk in the drive. Is there someway to log on to the install disk online, via the web? or to download the software from the web?
What's particularly baffling is that I just used the drive yesterday to burn some photo archives as well as to view some old disks to see what was on there. The drive worked fine then. -
I have installed the latest version of iOS in my ipad but forgot to backup the content, what should i do!!! I don't want my media and other data erased, how can i find back all the data in my ipad? I haven't restore ipad yet, so any others way can be use? Now my ipad is in recovery mode.
Once you are in Recovery Mode, it's too late to do any backup. I am afraid you are going to lose your data.

My son can't remember his passcode for his iPod touch and for some reason every time I try to restore it, the software gets updated and it starts processing it then it says there was an error and to try again later. Later, it still does and says the same thing. Is there any other way to unlock it without the passcode?
The only way to clear off the passcode is to restore the device. You could always try the restore process on another computer that has iTunes just to get the iPod working again, then you could plug it back into your comptuer to sync all of his content back on the iPod.

I purchased am Iphone 4S from ebay. Sellers daughter restored Iphone but didnt remove password. He sent me the password but after entering it a few times after I had already previous tried passwords before I reached him now I have reached the disabled screen and now have the correct password but am unabke to use it due to disabled screen. It is not synced with my Itunes so I am not able to go that route. If anyone else has any other suggestions please lead me.
If you get locked out of your phone with an incorrect passcode, then the only way is to do a restore and for that you need to connect it to iTunes and that is it. No other way to go.

Hi, I have lost my iphone but i have its backup in itunes, how can i restore using itunes or is there any other way for this
please suggestYou can restore that backup to a replacement iPhone, if that's what you're asking. If you want to extract data from the iPhone backup, you'll need third-party software to do so:

i want to reset my iphone to came back to it's factory setting, but it needs restriction passcode and i can not remember it, i can not even restore my iphone to get rid of this problem, is there any other way to turn off restriction passcode?
The only way to get rid of the restrictions passcode is to restore the device. Why can you not restore the device. The restrictions passcode will not prevent you from restoring, only the regular 4-digit passcode to enter the phone can do that. If that is your problem, then see this support document for instructions. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212

It crushes when the formula in a Formula Node is somewhat complicated.
I call outer Formula Node VIs using Call By Reference Node VI. This works well in general but for some VIs with a little complicated formulas. The system crushes while calling the VI repeatedly. In the attached files, Script1.vi goes well but Script0
