OTL: Timekeeper Layout, Custom Choice List

I have created a custom choice list on timecard. I have modified all templates (Time entry, confirmation, review and notification) I am using.
But when I create the timesheet through timekeeper I am not seeing those choice lists. How can I see custom choice lists on timekeeper.
I am using exception layout and we are on 12.0.4

Until 11.5.10.2, the custom choice lists done thru the LDT files are limited to self-service framework. Timekeeper customizations are handled via TK customization. It is documented in the implementing and using timekeeper white paper.

    Hello Everyone,
    I have the below requirement.
    1. Create a custom field in OTL Timekeeper Form. This field is based on the Element Selected on the timecard.
    2. Once the Timecard is transferred to Payroll, the custom field should go to a specific input value of that element.
    I know how to perform Step 1 above. But i am unable to find out how i can map the value in custom field to a specific Input value of the element.

    This is what i have done so far.
    1. Created a new Value set for the custom field.
    2. Created an alternate mapping to map the value set value to InputValue13.
    3. Created the alternate name.
    4. Added the alternate name to 'OTL Alternate Names' DFF.
    5. Added the Alternate name to the 'Preferences'.
    Testing:
    1. Created a Timecard populating the custom field.
    2. Timecard submitted and approved successfully.
    3. I verified that the custom field value goes into attribute13 of hxc_time_attributes where the attribute category is the corresponding element (should it be against the attribute category: Dummy Element Context? If Yes, then how to do it?).
    4. Then i ran the program 'Transfer Time from OTL to BEE'. This transferred the values into hxt_timecards_f, hxt_sum_hours_worked_f, hxt_det_hours_worked_f. But nowhere in these tables do i see the custom value.
    Did i miss any step? I did not define anything in the 'Define Mapping Components' of Deposit/Retrieval Process because InputValue13 is already part of it unter type 'Dummy Element Context'.
    5. Since it is not in hxt tables, i did not find it in pay_batch tables too.
    Any guidance is appreciated.

  • Can we default a value in choice list in OTL

    Hi,
    Can we default a value in the choice list? To explain in detail the issue is
    When the user enters the time entries he also choses a Yes/No in the choice list directly under the Day for each day. Now there can be an entry for a week where he does not enter hours for a day and hence the choice list value should be No. When the user does not select any value there review and confirmation page does not show them prooperly.
    ex: User enters
    _______________ Day1 Day2 Day3 Day4 Day5 Day6 Day7
    Overtime_________ 1_____________1______1
    Comp Acc________Yes____________No_____No
    The review should also be like the above but it appears as
    _______________Day1 Day2 Day3 Day4 Day5 Day6 Day7
    Overtime_________1_____________1_____1
    Comp Acc_______Yes_____No_____No
    The 2nd No appears incorrectly for the 2nd row. If I can provide a default value such as space when the user does not select anything then that might solve the issue. Can we do this.

  • OTL timekeeper entry - retrieve Hours type

    Hi guys,
    In the Timekeeper(OTL) entry form (where you enter time for multiple workers) there is a 'Hours Type' field .
    I need to retrieve the 'hours type' field value(As displayed in timekeeper entry screen) for a particular person(say person_id=2222) and for a particular period(june 9,2008-june 15,2008)..
    can anyone tell me the query or any pointers will be highly appreciated

    The Hours Type field needs to be configured as an Alternate Name Definition. This will associate a list of values for hours types to the corresponding elements.
    Then you have to associate the hours type alternate name definition as a timekeeper layout item in the Preferences window.

  • Package choice List

    I have created a package choice list as given in the timecard documentation.
    Added a new field called payroll code.
    In my Layout i can see the label payroll code and also the field,but no data which i returned by the function is not visible...

  • Can't move songs to custom play list

    Hello!  I have iPhoto '11 9.2.3 and have a little dilemma.  In creating a slideshow, I'm trying to move music into a custom play list, but when I do, the song will become an icon, and I'll even get the little green plus sign when I move it into the custom playlist box, but the song won't release.  I've tried the following:
    Moving it out the side of the dialogue box and then sideways back in.
    Pressing enter once the icon is in the box
    Holding down control while moving it
    More . . .
    It's like the song just won't release once it's grabbed.
    Incidentally, it's the same thing when trying to move pictures within the slideshow.  They'll grab but not release.  The icon even stays with the mouse pointer when I move it to another application.  So weird.....
    I've also tried:
    Checking for updates: mine is updated
    Closing and restarting the app
    Shutting down the computer and restarting
    I've done a ton of slideshows and have never had this problem.  Any ideas?
    Computer Specs:
    MacBook Pro 2008
    2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    4GB 1067 MHZ DDR3
    250 GB HD (yeah, it's small, I know)

    I'd check he settings on your Mouse or Trackpad for starters.
    Other than that:
    Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
    (On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
    (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    What's the plist file?
    For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

  • Creating Choice list

    Dear All,
                I have a choice list control on Search tile. I need to display all customer names when I click it. For this I have taken
    1. Find-choice tileset and added one list tile to it.
    2. Created Business Query and Business object for the Find-choice tileset.
    3. I did not perform any mapping on this tileset
    4. After that, I have linked this tileset (Find-choice) to Choice list control and set the target attribute, business anchor and BO Attribute.
    5. But the thing is, the tileset is getting populated on clicking choice list but the selected name is not coming onto the choice list control.
    Is this a mapping issue?
    Please help me out.

    Please, look at the preoperties for your chioce control. There should be a "Bound Column" and a "List Column" properties. They should be filled.

  • Choice list does not appear

    Hi everyone!
    I have added a choice list to my Applet and it compiled without any kind of erros, but once I view the Applet on appletviewer or on my browser I can't see it.
    I have created a Panel to display the choice list so that it didn't interfere with the other elements of the Applet. I used a setLayout(null) to display it on the position I was expecting it to, but it does not appear anywhere. Would anyone be able to give me a hint on this issue? I would be grateful.

    would be easier if you post your codesnippet, but here's some general info.
    1. get the container: Container contentpane = getContentPane();
    2. create a panel: JPanel panel = new JPanel();
    3. create your elements you actually want to appear (example):
    JLabel label = new JLabel("hello world");
    4. add the label to the panel: panel.add(label); //you can use LayoutManagers for layout
    5. add the panel to the contentpane: contentpane.add(panel);
    6 call setContentPane(contentpane);

  • How to make dependent choice lists grow dynamically?

    Is it possible to have dependent choice list which grow as the new content is added for choice list item?
    E.g If we have countries, states, cities as dependent choice lists. If contributor adds a new country the value should appear in the drop down next time. That value of country can be in turn be used to add states for it. The id of state in trun should be used to add cities. Is this possible?

    Hello All,
    by the way, it is very simple to let opltion lists grow dynamically, and moreover to have a predefined structure before.
    First you create a table and fill the view for this table with you start values, as it has been described before in this thread.
    Then you make the option list for the field Edit and Select.
    And then, as you know, your predefined values are stored in your custom schTable (whatever the name is), but all the values entered by the user are stored in DOCMETA table!
    All you need to do is to create a trigger with SQL Developer, so that on update and insert in table DOCMETA for your custom metadata field it is checked whether this value is already in your predefined option list stored in your schTable.
    And if the value is not there, make the trigger add a new record to custom table with this value and related values as well.
    Simple.
    This is true for any option list with predefined value and updated by the end-user.
    If it is dependent option list, then you need to add both values for parent and child fields in your custom table.
    There is another problem for which I can not find a solution --> if the field depends on two fields...

    Is it possible to perform parallel approval from OTL timekeeper entry form? it is using the following workflow OTL Seeded Approval Workflow HXCSAW(i think) if it is using this workflow can we change this workflow or need to write a new workflow for above mentioned requirement.

    Hi,
    HXCSAW is a custom workflow which do nothing accept approving and that can be change as per customer requirement. This child workflow called by parent workflow process HXCEMP. If u going to change the HXCSAW then u also need to change the seeded package associated with this workflow to embed your logic.
    We have done it through SSHR timesheet entry page, no idea if OTL timekeeper entry form carries approval or not.
    Whts the nature of ur parallel approval ? and how u can able to manage if via workflow ?

    Hi all
    Timecards submitted from OTL Timekeeper screen are auto approved even if I set the Time Store Approval Style preference to Supervisor Approval and link the preference to Timekeeper responsibility using Eligibility Criteria tab.
    I am expecting the timecard should go for an approval to supervisor since the approval style preference is set to Supervisor Approval but its auto approved as soon as the timecard is submitted. May I know the reason why the timecard is auto approved or am I missing any setup to send the approval notification to supervisor. Here the customer would like send the approval notification to supervisor if the timecard is submitted from timekeeper screen. Please advice.
    Please note that timecard submitted from self-service time is sending the approval notification to supervisor as expected.

    As per my understading, prefereces linked to responsibility wouldn't be considered if the timecard is submitted for approval through timekeeper. In my case, i have three different users employee, admin & manager. If either employee or admin submit the timecard then it should be sent to approval for manager. If manager submits the timecard then the timecard should be autoapproved. Pls note that all three will be using three different responsibilities to submit the timecard. I have created 4 differents of preferences.
    The preferences are linked as follows:
    Default preferece (Auto Approval) linked to All People with precedence 10
    Employee preference (Supervisor Approval ) linked to Self-Service Time responsibility with precedence 20
    Admin preference (Supervisor) linked to OTL time-keeper responsibility with precedence 30.
    Manager preference(Auto Approval) linked to OTL Super Time-Keeper responsibility with precedece 40.
    With the above setup, approvals are working fine as expected but if the timecard is submitted by admin then it's getting auto-approved.
    To fix the issue, i have changed the setup slightly as below
    Default preferece (Supervisor Approval ) linked to All People with precedence 10
    Employee preference (Supervisor Approval ) linked to Self-Service Time responsibility with precedence 20
    Admin preference (Supervisor) linked to OTL time-keeper responsibility with precedence 30.
    Manager preference(Auto Approval) linked to OTL Super Time-Keeper responsibility with precedece 40.
    With this setup, timecard submitted by admin is going for an approval to manager (as desired) but if manager submits the timecard then the workflow sends a notification to the manager for approval which is not expected.
    Is there anyway to have different approval styles for both manager & admin. If admin submits then it should be sent for approval otherwise if manager submits then it should be auto approved.

  • The setup of OTL Timekeeper preference is incomplete

    All of a sudden when I try to open Time Entry in OTL timekeeper, I see the error message: APP-HXC-366338: The Setup of OTL timekeeper preference is incomplete.
    I have checked all the possible reasons for that...like if user login is associated with a worker, timekeeper layout attributes,Timekeeper group. Every thing looks good but still unable to open timekeeper.This is same with all other users .
    If someone can explain what might have gone wrong i would really appreciate the help.

    This might be due to an incorrect version of the Timekeeper Entry form HXCTKSTA.fmb.Recompile this form once using adadmin (Buy your DBA a cup of coffee, he will do it for you ;)

  • OTL Timekeeper Problem

    I am trying to allow OTL supertime keeper entry of hours types and have set up the following preferences for the super timekeeper.
    Timekeeper Misc Setup - N,Y,Y
    Timekeeper Layout Attributes - TK projects, TK Tasks, OTL Elements (*)
    Timecard alternate names - OTL elements(* This is a alternate names for all elements available through OTL.)
    as well as all the other preferences which I have set up for the timecard end users (which work fine.)
    When I select the timekeeper responsibility and search for an employee. I get a timecard which allows me to enter hours but I am unable to enter any associated hours types.
    Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

    You need to have an Alternate name set which should contain all the possible elements which are assigned to user of a particular TK group. Now this alternate name should be added in the "Timecard layout Attributes" preference which is attached to the Timekeeper himself. Just to test you can test with a TK group having only one user and both user, TK having the same set of alternate name.

  • Timekeeper Layout for Projects

    I need to put the payroll hours types as the first item on the timekeeper entry screen and then the project/task/exp type after. I have read that Oracle expects to see the the TK Project List as the item 1 in the Timekeeper Layout Attributes on the preferences. If I put the payroll hours type first (item 1) and then the project items to follow (item 2-4), the task list does not populate. Has anyone done this where the project is not item 1 and if so, how do I go about making this work?

    My Preference tree for the desired timekeeper layout is as follows:
    Preference - Timekeeper Layout Attributes
    Item 1 - Alternate Name Group for the payroll elements
    Item 2 - TK Projects List
    Item 3 - TK Tasks List
    Item 4 - TK Expenditures List
    When I have the items in this order above, the project name will be available in the timekeeper LOV but the task does not populate in the LOV.
    If I have the layout as follows, it will populate but that is not the desired layout. We would like to have the payroll elements first.
    Timekeeper Layout Attributes
    Item 1 - TK Projects List
    Item 2 - TK Tasks List
    Item 3 - TK Expenditures List
    Item 4 - Alternate Name Group for the payroll elements
