OTN FTP Site is out of reach !

Hi,
I'm unable to successfuly connect to OTN ftp site since monday
(I wanted to download the new JDeveloper3). I logged from
different machines with differents accounts. Whatever I'm doing
the site appears to be down. Does someone experience the same
problem ? If so, when will it be fixed ?
P.S. It's quite possible that this topic is addressed in a
newsgroup but I don't have access to any of them for the moment.
Thank you very much for any advice,

Patrick,
Do you mean OTN, or the Oracle Store? At any rate, I've notified
the OTN admin folks. With problems like these, you can click on
the 'Contact Us' link in the upper right corner of the OTN home
page.

  • How can I find out the server port for a secured FTP site and creating a FTP Connection Manager

    I have to create a FTP Task to go out and get the files that our 3rd party vendor will be dropping on a secured FTP site. I have all the credentials to access that Secured FTP Site and have successfully done so through FileZilla.
    Now I need to set-up a FTP Task to go out and get their files and in so doing create a FTP Connection Manager. Is there any way I can determine the
    Server Port number from the Secured FTP site? I let it default to 21 and tried the Test Connect and it failed.
    Thanks for your review and am hopeful for a reply.

    Hi ITBobbyP,
    SSIS has a built in FTP task, while this only works for the FTP protocol, it doesn’t support SFTP. But there are some free clients like WinSCP and
    SSIS SFTP Task Control Flow Component
    available in the CodePlex which can invoked from SSIS.

  • My regular FTP site suddenly times out - after onl...

    Hi
    Not sure if this is the right forum but due to some problems I found myself unable to pay the monthly bill by the due date. After some time going round in circles with the famous auomated menus I managed to find a real person and explained the problem. I asked if I ould have until 19th February to pay. They said the latest they could allow was 14 February UNLESS I was able to  to pay £20 - £30 towards total of £51  before that.
    I managed to borrow £20 which I paid online and I was still connected on the 14th and today too BUT my website FTP which I access daily has suddenly stopped connecting giving me a time out message. No one else using it has experienced any problem.
    So I was wondering whether it was possible that BT have decided to block my access to this IP of this FTP site until the balance of the bill is paid. I have no evidence of this except the co-incidence that the last day they would originally give me to settle the bill coincides with the sudden inability to connect to my FTP site. (I can connect to other FTP sites that I use occasionally with different IP's with no problem.)
    Any suggestions appreciated.
    Solved!

    Hi Shadowmike,
    I don't think this issue has anything to do with BT billing restrictions. When your broadband is restricted due to payment issues you can not access any sites and you get redirected to a BT.com payment page.

  • I want to read a file which is in a zip and this zip file is at ftp site

    i am facing this problem and try to find the solution from last month please help me
    i want to read a file which in ziped and this zip file is at ftp site. and i want to read this file without downloading this zip file to local machine. i have to read it from ftp location only

    You can open an URLConnection to a file on an FTP server (search this forum to find out how). You can get the InputStream from the URLConnection and feed it to ZipInputStream. That should do the job.

  • Error in picking files from FTP Site

    Dear All,
    I m using one communication channel of type FILE to pick the files from a FTP Site. Yesterday, the communication channel stopped picking the files from the FTP site. I checked the adapter in the Adapter Monitoring and it was green and was showing success messages in SXMB_MONI. I then just reactivated the complete scenario and the communication channel started picking the files again.
    Is there a way to find out the trace or log in the server for the adapter or communication channel? Or how can I find out what went wrong.
    Warm Regards,
    N.Jain

    Hello Nishant,
    That is a problem which happens frequently( atleast i faced the same ) .
    The issue is realted to timeout in your FTP Adapter (Connection Issue). Just check out the mode of connection in your file adapter is it permanant or reconnect after a certain time.
    What you can possibly do is contact the team which maintains the FTP server...

  • IWeb page printed from iWeb site comes out BLACK on some browsers

    I made and run a website for a local art group. iWeb works well for this purpose. I publish the site to our domain. The main site is for the public and a second site, password protected and reached through the main site, is for members.
    I've put the entry form for our biggest annual exhibition on the website, intending that members can print it from there (most have hard copies as well). Printing works perfectly from Safari. But many members have PCs (grrr) and use things like Firefox and IE.
    Firefox prints the iWeb pages totally BLACK. IE prints okay on some computers and not on others. A clue is that, if you look fast as you open an iWeb page in IE, you see all the layout components in light blue; it immediately disappears. But that is the part that prints out black.
    What on earth is causing this and HOW can it be prevented?? I have used NO background color on my pages.

  • Connect to FTP site with Apache commons net FTP client through Proxy

    Hello,
    I am trying to run this simple code to connect to FTP site through a proxy.

    public class MyTest {
    public static void main(String[] args) {

    try {
    System.out.println("connecting");
    ftpClient.connect(ftpHostName, ftpPort);
    System.out.println("connected");
    System.out.println("loging in");
    boolean successLogin = ftpClient.login(ftpUserName, ftpPassword);
    if(successLogin)
    System.out.println("success login");

    import it.sauronsoftware.ftp4j.FTPClient;
    import it.sauronsoftware.ftp4j.connectors.SOCKS4Connector;
    public class MyTestFtp4J {
    public static void main(String[] args) {

    FTPClient ftpClient = new FTPClient();
    ftpClient.setConnector(new SOCKS4Connector("10.148.0.131", 1080));
    try {
    System.out.println("connecting");
    ftpClient.connect(ftpHostName, ftpPort);
    System.out.println("connected");
    System.out.println("loging in");
    ftpClient.login(ftpUserName, ftpPassword);
    System.out.println("success login");
    catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    finally {
    try {
    System.out.println("disconecting");
    ftpClient.disconnect(true);
    catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    So I know the proxy settings are correct.
    The java version I used to compile and run my apps is 1.6.0_06 Does anyone can help figure out what is wrong when I use the Apache commons net FTP client?
    Thank you
    Jon

    Is the old AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS)
    configured so that the option to distribute IP
    addresses is DISABLED? If so, configure the new AEBS
    to act as a bridge.
    Are you suggesting I use a set-up with TWO AEBSs? Set up a bridge (not sure how) and then use the old AEBS to connect to the DSL modem and broadcast to the new Extreme which will then be the router to the other computers on the network?
    Do you have any port mapping or default host enabled
    on the old AEBS?
    I do not understand, not do I see these options in the Base Station utitlity; perhaps they are in the FTP options--but that, I'm sorry to say, is not obvious to my inspection.
    Duane, can you give me a few more basic instructions? Thanks

  • FTP Connection Time-Out Issue

    *THE PROBLEM:* OS X specific FTP clients time-out intermittently when I try to upload files to any given server directory.
    *TROUBLESHOOTING FAILURES:*
    * Tried uploading the files to the same directory using different FTP clients (listed below).
    * Tried using another Mac in the same office with the same client to upload the same files to the same directory at the same time and different times.
    * Tried plugging in with an actual network cable cable.
    * Tried toggling on/off passive mode both in the FTP clients and the OSX system preferences.
    * Tried using the Binary (RAW DATA) upload format.
    * Tried recreating the FTP profiles for the connections.
    *TROUBLESHOOTING SUCCESS:*
    * Tried uploading the same files to the same directory at a different location
    * Tried uploading using filezilla in a Windows XP Pro virtual machine in my otherwise problematic work location.
    I'm a web-designer. So FTP is a major part of my work-flow. My connection follows this setup:
    My office is somewhat remote so my local ISP uses a Microwave transmitter (line-of-site) to make connection with a receiver at my home, which in-turn is plugged into a little wireless router. I connect to the wireless router with my Airport card in my MacBook Pro.
    I use a number of applications that are standalone or have integrated FTP clients including:
    * Fetch
    * Interarchy
    * Cyberduck
    * CODA (AND)
    * Dreamweaver
    Can anyone offer me any explanation why my FTP has these problems.

    Have you tried turning off the Firewall yet?
    Since you have Fetch, let's try the transcipt messages as ScottMcGuire puts it...

  • Not able to connect to the Oracle FTP Site.

    I am unable to connect to the oracle ftp server.
    ftp://oracle-ftp.oracle.com/dev_tools/patchsets/dev2k/Win95NT/d2kwutil/
    I need to download the latest version of d2kwutil for forms 4.5.
    The one with the WIN_API_SESSION call. I got a version for forms 6.0 but I need one for
    forms 4.5 with d2kwut32.dll. Please let me know how to download this.
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks, Prabhu.

    As you said I renamed d2kwut60.dll to d2kwut32.dll and I tried deporting the Forms ver 6 D2KWUTIL.PLL to Forms 4.5 D2KWUTIL.PLL .. but unfortunately it didn't work out. All I wanted was the WIN_API_SESSION for timeout on FORMS application (if kept idle) .. but it turned out I need to modify WIN_API and other functions to accomdate this new function .. and also I think since PL/SQL version is of lower version in 4.5 .. I am having compilation problems also.
    Since I am unable to connect to the FTP site I would really appreciate if you have a version of D2KWUTIL.PLL for FORMS 4.5 with WIN_API_SESSION calls, which you could forward it to EMAIL ID : [email protected]
    Thanks again for trying to help. Appreciate a lot.

  • Cant open ftp site on ipad

    Hello. I have to figure out a way to allow ipad users to open a specific ftp folder from our ftp site on their ipads. so far when i attempt to open the ftp url safari tells me i have no permission. if i try it at my computer it works properly and prompts me for a password. the only option i have found is to give these people access to the whole ftp site via one of the many ftp apps out there. the problem with that is they may end up deleting something they shouldnt or seeing something they are not supposed to have access to.
    ftp://[email protected]/CEB%20Joint%20meeting%20October%2017   is the url

    Try to reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release.

  • IWeb To FTP site........Having trouble doing it.....

    Ok, so last time I asked about uploading my iweb to a web site that I own and it was answered with a video that a teacher made for other teachers at her school. Well I finally tried it out and umm kinda didnt work out for me. So this is what I did.
    Made my web page, publish to a folder, typed the url I want it to got to in the url line, went to my FTP program (its yummy ftp, not sure if thats the problem) and grabbed both files and uploaded them to my folder on the ftp site, went to my url www.uopaintball.com, nothing Any ideas ?????

    Hi Jonathon, The following advice is from Fetch -- another FTP program; but it may apply to your situation...
    "The most common problem when trying to upload pages created with iWeb is that for your website to work correctly once you upload it, after you publish your website to a folder, you need to upload the contents of the folder - but not the folder itself - to your server."

  • ASA5520-Access to FTP site

    I thought I would run this by the forum in case there is someone out there who experienced the same issue.  I have users behind an ASA5520 firewall running 8.x code who are unable to access a particular ftp site through a web browser or an ftp client such as FileZilla.  Keep in mind that other ftp sites are accessible.  I was notified of this as it worked in the morning of a particular day and then stopped working in the afternoon on the same day.  Accessing the site from our guest network(different firewall) is possible.  The SysAdmin insists it is a firewall issue.  I have run the packet tracer on the firewall and the traffic is allowed.  FTP inspection is configured.  I get the same results when I try to access with IE or Firefox.  Anyways, I thought I would post the questions to see if anyone has seen something like this before.  If anyone is interested, the site is ftp://authordev.healthstream.com.  TIA for any help or advice.

    Hi,
    You could always take a packet capture on the firewall and/or on the actual host to see where the communication stops.
    You could for example configure the ASA to capture the traffic between the client and the server.
    Example configuration could be
    access-list FTP-CAP permit ip host host
    access-list FTP-CAP permit ip host host
    capture FTP-CAP type raw-data access-list FTP-CAP interface buffer 10000000
    You could naturally also capture the traffic on the internal side of the firewall if you want to compare the 2 captures on both sides of the firewall
    access-list FTP-CAP-INTERNAL permit ip host host
    access-list FTP-CAP-INTERNAL permit ip host host
    capture FTP-CAP-INTERNAL type raw-data access-list FTP-CAP-INTERNAL interface buffer 10000000
    You can then use the following command to confirm if traffic is captured
    show capture
    You can use the following command to show the capture on the CLI
    show capture FTP-CAP
    show capture FTP-CAP-INTERNAL
    I would suggest copying the actual captures to your computer with following commands and then viewing the contents with Wireshark
    copy /pcap capture:FTP-CAP tftp://x.x.x.x/FTP-CAP.pcap
    copy /pcap capture:FTP-CAP-INTERNAL tftp://x.x.x.x/FTP-CAP-INTERNAL.pcap
    You can remove the captures from the ASA with
    no capture FTP-CAP
    no capture FTP-CAP-INTERNAL
    The ACLs will have to be removed separately.
    These captures should give you a picture what happens to the FTP connection.

  • How to list all the files in a FTP site?

    I am now using LV7.1 and trying to list all the files (with file name, file size and modified date) on both a local drive and a remote FTP site. I can manage to do on a local drive, but is it possible to list the files on a FTP site?
    Thanks,
    Cola

    Listing files on a local drive and listing the contents of an ftp site are two different things. Access to an ftp site uses a totally different protocol. Off the top of my head, you have a few options:
    Use a third-party tool that can map an ftp drive to a local drive letter. WebDrive is one such client. Note: I'm assuming Windows here.
    Use the Intenet Toolkit.
    Use the LabVIEW TCP/IP functions to write up your own ftp client to connect to the server, change to the desired directory, and send the command to list the contents, which you can parse and spit out as a nice little array of filenames. Check the LabVIEW examples, as I believe there's some examples on this. You should also search this board for "ftp client", as this has been brought up before, and samples have been posted.

  • Adobe reader not able to open links to files on FTP sites (10.1.3)

    Hi,
    After the recent Reader upgrade to 10.1.3, we are no longer to use the existing documentation that has hyperlinks to our company FTP site.
    The document is published using Adobe Acrobat 9.5.1, and the staff open the document using Reader 10.1.3.
    In reader when they click on the hyperlinks to the FTP files, the following error is shown:
    'Could not open the file: 'ftp://******(doc name)****.zip'
    In Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended - when you click on the hyperlinks you get this error;
    'This file is set to be launched by this PDF file. This is currently disallowed by your system administrator'
    Can someone please let me know how to fix this?
    Thanks!

    Hi Pat,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I'm confused at why this worked in March 2012, but not now (May 2012).
    Previously having a hyperlink in a document to download a ZIP file from a FTP site worked.
    I did take a look at forum you listed, but I couldn't work out how the document could help me to fix this situation.
