Dear Blackberry,
Every Blackberry phone that I've owned, including my current model, has been equipped with an Otter case to protect it against bumps and drops. These cases are fantastic! Although my wife doesn't use a Blackberry, she does protect her phone with an Otter case. PLEASE CONTACT OTTER CASE WITH THE CLASSIC SPECS SO THAT I CAN UPGRADE TO A BLACKBERRY CLASSIC without being afraid of wrecking my phone by living without a protective case! Thanks!

"Too bulky" is relative to the amount of protection that the phone needs. I'm away from home for several weeks at a time working out of my truck, hotels, and trailers. I'm happy to sacrifice a thicker phone for some protection against breakage when I accidentally drop the phone. I don't wear a suit so I don't have to worry about a slim case design. The hassle associated with a broken phone is too much for me to manage! The bulk is certainly a major problem but I've come to appreciate that bulk equals protection!!!

Case for the classic

I went to buy a classic 80g case today only to be told that they (the shop) do not stock them as they thought the old style case would fit. Does the old style case fit? if not where can i get a silicone case for the new classic on line if poss.

I see you are from the UK. HMV sold me a snug fitting silicone skin for £6 and have skins for all models. The skins are labeled www.exspect.co.uk so I guess you could look up that address if you can't find any locally.

At a guess, I'd say it was the hinge, where the case pivots open, and also where the lanyard feeds through. Perhaps you could ask the seller, although judging by the quantity of sales he/she has, you may not get an answer too quickly.

Hi,
My ipod is being stubborn, everytime i connect it to my Windows PC. Its does a new sync despite having changed its setting.
When I check manually manage files. And then copy music files onto Ipod some times. After eject the music is there sometimes its empty.

I have figured out what the problem is with the connectivity issues with the ipods.. I talked to the support person and once you have the most recent upgrade to itunes and your ipod the ipod should sync without any problems. If one does arise and it says that the ipod is not connected you need to follow these steps..
1. Go to start
2. Click Run
3. Type in the phrase services.msc
4. A new applet should appear that says services and there will be a list of a multitude of different applications that appears
5. Right click on the one that says *Apple Mobile Device*
6. You should see the restart Option
7. Click on restart and you should be good to go
After i did this everything worked fine, and if the connectivity error message would happen to appear again you should just follow those steps. Also i have found that the ipod doesnt always appear in My Computer. However, this does not mean that the ipod is not connected to your computer.

Best Case for a certain need

Hi all,
I realize there are many posts about what case is the best. But i havent found one for my specific need. My problem is that this is my 2nd iphone. The one i had before had a spiderweb crack on the glass and it cost me 200 to replace. I hav no idea how i got it. The phone was in my sweater pocket with only my car keys and the crack looked like a pressure crack that started right at the very right part of the speaker for the ear when u talk on it.
So my solution? Get a case that protects that part completely. Like there is a hole in the case the exact size of the speaker for the ear when you talk on it. Another thing is that i would like a dock adapter for it, universal or not, i just cant find a dock adapter that works while still in the case.
Any input would help, or even a referal to a thread that already has this problem that i may have missed.

I've got the Gear4 Ivak for iphone now and i must say, its great. There are a few discrepancies though. The first a foremost one is the built in screen protector is unsatisfactory. It doesnt seal to the iphone so u have places where it looks like its stuck to the screen and others are not. The quick fix to that is just pop it out and put a static screen protector or whatever else on it. The second is the belt clip. The design is unconventional and it keeps the screen facing outward, which i dont like, and you cant rotate it, its always horizontal. Thirdly the thickness of the makes it hard to pres the very sides of the keypad for space and keys on the very side.
The great things are that you have access to literally everything. It doesnt block the vibrate mode like the otter box does, the front of the phone is protected with slits for the earpiece and the light sensor, even the home button is covered and replaced with a soft touch button. The whole phone feels soft, not slick like most cases. The color design is a perfect match to the actual iphone, which is nice as well. The kick stand is perfect for viewing movies and the clasp holds it perfectly still when not in use.
Other concerns i have are that the pait may scratch off eventually as well as the rubberized feel. So far this, i feel, is the best case out there with allround protection with full access.
If the otterbox had access to the vibrate mode i probably would have purchased that one.

Would a 30GB iPod Classic fit in a case for an 80GB-160GB iPod Classic?

I gave my daughter my old iPod 30GB. She wants a case for it. I found some cases on a site, but they say they are for 80-160GB classic iPods. Would her 30GB fit in one of those cases?

There were several 30GB iPods, from 3rd gen to 5th gen. Is this a "video" iPod (5th gen)?
If it's 3rd or 4th gen, it will definitely NOT fit. If it's 5th gen, it probably will not fit, unless (maybe) it is really rubbery and flexible, or loose fitting. The top edges on the new iPod "classic" are more rounded compared to the 5th gen iPod, although the overall dimensions are similar.
There seem to be a lot listings on eBay, if it's 5th gen. Do a search on "ipod classic 5th gen case." Pretty cheap, because they are old products. NOTE: There were two "thicknesses" for iPod 5th gen, depending on capacity of the hard drive. 30GB is the thinner type (for a 5th gen). If the case is a hard shell, be sure you get the correct match.

I want to buy a case for my 80gb ipod classic (iskin evo3) .... and when it says 30gb or 80gb...does that mean that they haven't updated to the new version of the ipod? or would it not make a difference in size?

I just received my 160 and promptly put it into the iSkin eVo3 caes. It fits snuggly. I don't notice any problems with it fitting. This is is the good news.
The sort of bad news is that the classic's scroll wheel is different somehow and doesn't always scroll properly through the iSkin's rubber. I sort of figured out that you have to first hold your thumb on the wheel for a second or two before you begin scrolling, as if the classic needs to feel its presence. Then you can begin scrolling and the ipod senses the thumb properly, though not as accurately as if the iskin wasn't on. If you take your thumb off the iskin for a few seconds you will have to retrain it again by waiting a couple secs before scrolling. A bit annoying but so far not a deal breaker for me. I'm more annoyed with the iSkin's magnet to lint/dust/hair.
BTW. i left the original plastic wrapping on the ipod before placing it in the iskin. The wrapping doesn't affect strolling when the ipod is not wearing its skin, but maybe the extra layer does make a difference when the iskin is on.

Why is 50GB of music gone? All music should exist on the computer. Only a fool would rely on a single device which could easily be lost or stolen to store their content on.

Need help locating a wallet case for an Xperia T2 Ultra Smartphone that has a slot on the side for the mini-usb

I realize this board is for Xperia tablets, but I don't see a board for Xperia Smartphones. I do hope someone here can help. I have a Sony Xperia T2 Ultra smartphone. I love the phone, but I purchased a case for it not realizing that the case doesn't have a slot on the side for the mini-usb connector, which means that I have to charge the phone with the case open.
I called Sony accessories, and they don't seem to make a case with a slot on the side. They have a very nice case, but again, it doesn't have the correct opening for the charger and you have to charge the phone with the case open.
I have also searched several websites for such a case with no luck.
Does anyone here know where I can find a wallet-style case for the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra with a magnetic closure (or some way of securing the case closed) that will actually allow me to charge the phone while the case is closed? Please let me know.
