sure you want to go there it is a dangerous site. then it wont let me go back unless I shut down phone. network error or no network connection

spacysjpicy2, this is a major concern to me! I want to make sure that you are able to have access to your phone at any time. What kind of cell phone are you using? How long has this been going on? Please keep us posted.

I think I solved the problem by initiating the update in a different way, from the itunes panel where I can click to start the update, instead of saying yes when asked if I want to update when itunes launches in response to the iphone being plugged into the computer.

Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.

if it's a message coming from your yahoo account, it means that your account has been compromised, not your phone itself. i would suggest changing the password for your email account

The space you purchased is in iCloud. It is not on your phone, and there is no way you can use it directly on your phone. The phone comes with whatever memory you purchased it with (8, 16, 32 or 64 GB) and that number will never change. You can use iCloud memory for backups, for syncing your mail, contacts, calendars, notes and photos. Try resetting your phone by pressing and holding the Home button and the power button unti the silver apple appears. If that doesn't work, contact the developer of the app.

Just have to give it some time. The activation and verification servers are all slammed right now 'cause of all the people trying to update at the same time. Give it a couple hours (or overnight if you can wait) and it should sort itself out.

HI Shelby,
It sounds like your available free space is not reporting properly. I would start by quitting the Settings app:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

The taking of photos requires storage capacity on the phone itself. iCloud storage has nothing to do with picture taking, that is backup storage area. You will have to remove content from the phone to increase storage on the phone to be able to take photos.
