Oulook 2013 not saving any sent messages

Why won't Outlook save any of my sent messages. I set up anew account a couple of days ago and just noticed that none of my saved messages are showing up in the Saved folder. I have checked that sent messages be saved box but nothing happens. I honestly
can't understand how this is an issue?

Which type of email account are you using? If you are using IMAP account, please go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Double-click your IMAP account to open the
Change Account wizard > Click More Settings
button > Advanced tab > Make sure the "Do not save copies of sent items" option is unticked.
In addition, how many email account did you configure in your Outlook? Please check all Sent Items folder and see if the sent messages are saved to another folders.
Please let me know the result.

Some sent mails do not appear/are not saved in "sent messages" and are lost

i work with mail and 4 different imap accounts. about every 15th sent email "gets lost". i.e. i can follow the sending process in the activity window, and i hear the sending confirmation tone. and, usually, the mails even reach the receiver. BUT, the mails do not appear/are not saved in the "sent messages" folder and are lost. this is very unsettling, as there seems to be no recognizable pattern. can anyone help, or should i change to "entourage"? big thanks for replies

I, too, have had this intermittent issue and wonder if you had found a solution?
In the past 3 weeks, two messages have been sent from my mac mail account, using the mail application (the only apparent common factor being that both messages had iphoto attachments), the recipients have received them - only I do not have a copy in my 'sent' folder.
They are not stored on the macintosh server either...
I have not altered any settings and this intermittent issue has just emerged.
Any help from 'Top Users' would be welcome. Thanks.

Message not saved in sent messages folder

Hi everybody,
When I send a mail by the Collaboration Launch Pad and check the option: "Save copy in Sent Messages Folder" I get this error:
"Message has been sent, but could not be saved in the sent messages folder; check the mail server entry in your user mapping data."
Please is anybody there who can help me to properly configurate that option or tell me how to remove it from the body?

Hi Antonio,
Saving the mesage means writing that e-mail in the senders "sent item" folder in the mailbox. Thus make sure that the users mail server name and user and password is correct for the system Exchange.
Also check SAP Note 738965.
Also there is this this specific port that should be open on the SMTP server for the mail to be saved in the "sent items" folder. I dont remember what port is it. Will try to figure out and let you know.
Also make sure that your Exchange transport has the sent items folder name.

Using telnet check that the SMTP server can be reached on port 25. If not then there is no way you can save the messages in the sent items folder using the collaboration tools.

Problem with not saving the sent messages option

I tried to deactivate the option to save sent messages--- messages--> options---> settings-->other---> save.... Yes /no, try this please and reply .... Its a very big problem for me please nokia help----
and if that is not enough my battery is dead very fast because of the wifi connection that I can't turn off if keeps reconnecting alone!!!!! Even I turned every thing off

I've got the solution for one of your problems, but I want you to solve one that I have related to the sms. In order to stop your phone from connecting to the wifi set up your emails account first and it will stop. you have to go emails>>settings>>select the email account>>synchronisation>> retrieval days>> select none, because if you don't have data on your phone, it always try to retrieve the mails, and then it when the wifi comes out. Now my issue is that i can't see the ID when I got a sms even if I had it saved on my contact list, it is driving me crazy, I'm about to throw the phone away, please reply

How do I retrieve my sent messages after upgrading to ios5. the synch did not provide any sent messages

I just did an upgrade to ios 5. Some different things happened that I have not encountered before. It indicated I was synch more apps than I had - in the order of 240 when I have maybe 50. When I opened mail - all my inbox, sent and deleted messages were missing. Any advice and sugestions would help.

The iTunes sync process does not include email account mailboxes and messages.
If the account is a POP account, all received messages tha remain on the server will be downloaded as new and unread messages. Messages in the account's Sent and Trash mailboxes will not be available since these mailboxes are not stored on the server with a POP account.
If the account is an IMAP account and you were storing the account's Sent and Deleted mailboxes on the server with the account settings on your iPhone, messages in all server stored mailboxes will be available again but must be re-downloaded which will occur when a server stored mailbox is selected.
Not sure why the apps in your iTunes library that were not selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and were not on your iPhone were selected and transferred, but the apps can be removed by deselecting the apps under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.

Sent messages not saved in sent mailbox

Lately some iCloud sent messages are not saved in the sent mailbox. this is an intermitant problem. sometimes msgs go to the outbox even though mail is on line; when they are eventually sent sometimes they do not make it to the sent mailbox. I call the recipient and the msg has actually been received. The lost messages do not appear in iCloud. Rebuild does not help. any suggestions?

Tks for your answer. I have a .Mac account and in already try in Preferences-Accounts- and I only see three tabs: " Account Information ", " Mailboxes Behaivor " and " Advanced ". I don´t see the " Special Mailboxes " tab that you mention and I have also read about it. In Mailboxes Behaivor I can choose the option " Store sent messages on the server " and the Delete sent messages option is in " Never". If I choose not to Store sent messages on the server, nothing seems to happen. I hope you can help me with this information and I want to thank you again

Icloud sent messages on device not saved in sent folder

My icloud email is set up as an IMAP account on my Android phone and Windows computer (using EmClient). Sent messages are not being saved to the sent folder. I tried a message online in icloud and on my ipdad mini and there was no problem there with saving my sent message in the sent folder. How can I fix this?

This is a long shot, but Apple is going to start requiring you to set up app-specific passwords in order to allow third-party apps to access data from your iCloud account. This is outlined in this document: Using app-specific passwords. This isn't supposed to be implemented until October, but maybe changes are already taking place behind the scenes in the way third-party apps sync with iCloud that is causing them to "misbehave".
Ask EmClient support if they are hearing from there customers that they can no longer sync with iCloud, and if is, if it is because of this new policy. If so, you may need to just put up with it until Oct. 1st. when you can generate a password for these apps.

Mail settings are not saved any more

Hi,
after my mailbox structure has crashed, I tried to reset Mail as explained in this answer: https://discussions.apple.com/message/22302114#22302114
After restarting Mail all settings were deleted (as expected) and I set up my accounts and settings again. Then I recognized that the settings are not saved any more. I tried some times but Mail didn't save the settings.
I hope there is a chance to fix this problem.

Thanks for linked document but I find it funny and someone rude that the article assumes that EVERYONE knows the lingo used - i.e. Profile Folder is in "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\" . Where the hell is that???? Jesus, it's much easier to switch to Chrome.

Mail not saving large outgoing messages

i've recently noticed that when sending large outgoing messages (typically 10mb or more), mail sends but does not save the sent message. i'm using IMAP Gmail. everything else (ie, anything smaller) sends and saves fine.
anyone else noticed this/got a fix? i'm using mail 4.1 on OS 10.6.1, but i had trouble with mail in leopard where it wouldn't send large emails at all.

Yes I am having the exact same problem - email just disappears totally whilst being sent - nothing in drafts or sent items - the email has totally disappeared - very very annoying...
I am feeling very angry with Apple and things that should 'just work' that just 'don't work' any more - the whole OS is becoming totally unreliable - I'm seriously considering ditching this junk (after 3yrs of Apple purchasing) and going back to Windows - Apple are the most arrogant and uncommunicative company I have ever known...

Mail does not (always) display sent messages w/attachments

A frustration: my Mail 8.2 (using iCloud and OS X 10.2.2) often does not display particular Sent messages -- this most often occurs when I have multiple attachments and have spent quite some time, often approaching half an hour, composing the message -- but sometimes it occurs when only a single attachment and a quick, 10 second, composition period. Recipients report receiving the emails and the attachments. The vast majority of Sent messages are properly displayed.
I have searched for the missing Sents by recipient, subject line and even text and .... they do not appear in any mailbox.
Wi-Fi connections are strong and not problematic. The issue is not particular to any one recipient. All software updates are current.
While it has been some time since I Repaired Permissions I am not detecting any other problems.
The frustration is "OMG where did that half-hour of work GO?" followed by a usually unnecessary follow-up email or call to the recipient.

A: We can execute the command that is shown in below image to check the status of the configuration that has been made.
Note: For example I made changes to the default VAP profile and executed the command "show master-configpending" which shows the pending configuration to be saved/sent to local controllers.

But that jar file loads without images and icons when it is in other directory.Images should be accessed via a URL rather than using a filename because they will exist as entries in the jar archive not as files. Could not read any NLS message catalogue! while applying patch

I am posting on behalf of someone.
We are trying to install an Oracle patch (the patch p3948480_9206_AIX64-5L) on AIX 5.3.
We get the error Message:
ERROR: Could not read any NLS message catalogue!
I have checked the Paths and install additional language packs to match the install of another machine we have the Oracle path installed on which hasnt helped.
the NLSPATH leads to directories which are correct.
Is it critical that the LANG environment variable be "C" ?

Oracle Universal Installer needs some files in the directory where the runInstaller (UNIX) or setup.exe (Windows) is running. So, when you invoke runInstaller (UNIX) or setup.exe (Windows), you should invoke it from the directory where this command is present, or you must specify the complete path.

Could not read any NLS message catalogue (10gR2/Centos4 kernel 2.6.9-34.EL)

I'm trying to install Oracle 10gR2 on CentOS4 (kernel 2.6.9-34.EL).
I followed the pre-installation tasks the best I could, but when I try to launch runInstaller from the location where I uncompressed the setup files, I am getting error "Could not read any NLS message catalogue!"
I'm new to both Oracle and Linux, so I don't really know which direction this is complaining about.
Any pointer would be appreciated ;)
