Oulook contact synchronization

I synchronized i phone contact with outlook when synchronized completed i check my contact it synchronized with an old bacukp file and the contact which i updated in iphone was lost. Is there any way to retrieve iphone original contact (before sync) Kindly help in this regard.

Where was the updated contact that was overwritten? On the iPhone or the Outlook file?
If you overwrote the iPhone contact, then I don't think you can get it back.
But I'm confused. If you updated the contact in the iPhone, and then sync'ed it to outlook, the timestamp on the iPhone for that particular contact should have been newer than the one (in the backup file) in the computer.
The newer iPhone contact file should have overwritten the older backup file on the computer.
Check under the "Info" tab in iTunes when your iPhone is connected to the computer. Scroll down to the "Advanced" section. None of the checkboxes should have anything in them. If they do, the computer will continue to overwrite the contents of the iPhone.
If you do have anything checked in this section, un-check it.
It wont save the data that has been overwritten, but it will ensure that you don;t loose data that way again.

Google Contact Synchronization Issue

When I configure a new gmail account on my device 8520 (OS 5.0.0.681) and choose contact sync option it works fine for few days but after that it stops. In options Wireless Synchronization status shows "Not Available" which I can not change also as it is disabled.
In order to enable it again the only option works is delete the account and configure it again which is a pain as I have to again create my filters which is a hectic work.
Any help on this issue will be highly appreciated.

Try completing the following steps, this may help resolve
your issue with Google Contacts synchronization:
Go
into Options > Advanced options > Service Books > Delete the you Gmail
Sync service book Example: [email protected]
SYNC
Log
into your BlackBerry internet service account and verify the Contacts are checked off for synchronization http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB1927
Then
resend service books to the device, if you are doing this from the device
follow this KB article http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB16383

Contact synchronization problem with Mercedes Audio 50 APS

It seems to be impossible to import iPhone contacts from Mercedes Audio 50 APS system embedded on my C Classe (W or S204 / july 2009) car.
The problem persists with upgraded iPhone from iOS 3.1.3 to iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3G.
My Mercedes agent test with another iPhone's models: 3GS & 4 => the same problem occurs !
After a long search on MB web site (http://www.mercedes-benz-mobile.com/fr/fr/s204/0/bt.compare.php), I fund the official answer: contact synchronization not supported !!!! Simply inconceivable on behalf of a "premium" car brand !!!!
Hereafter a screen copy of the (french version) MB web site...

Contacts synchronize with iPhone 3g OR!!! iCloud. Need help.

Since about a week my contacts only synchronize with my iPhone 3g OR icloud.
Depending on wich selection i make in the adressbook preferences for "standard account".
When i put it on "local" it syncs with the iPhone, on "iCloud" with the cloud.
It started about a week ago when i noticed that all my contact on the mac suddenly are doubled.
So i started deleting the double ones.
After doing that i had some of them on the iPhone and some in the Cloud ( and all in the adressbook ).
Then followed another advise ( from the apple support community ):
    Exported all the contacts from the adressbook on the mac.
    Deleted everything from the Mac, iPhone and the Cloud.
     And then put em back in.
Since then i have the aforementioned Problem. "Cloud OR phone"

If you need to have calendar/contacts/etc in sync, you must opt-out of icloud and not use it on any device. Instead you go back to itunes sync - have iTunes on Mac/PC sync to iphone3g and 4s. But once you start using iCloud, the 3G is out, no sync anymore to the other(s).

Contacts synchronization problem with 9860

Good evening
I would like your help regarding a problem i face with my 9860. I have downloaded the desktop software from the official website and tried to synchronize contacts, pictures & music with mu pc.....
When trying contacts, it seems to start synchronizing but the procedure is freezing for ages somewhere in the middle (122/224 records)....i do never get an error message and the only solution is to cancel which also takes ages..I have tried to unistall / reinstall the desktop software but the problem still exists.
Any ideas?

Welcome to the BB Community...
If ur facing such issue wth contacts sync, and the priority is to have a backup of ur contacts, then i wud suggest u to download apps that takes a backup of ur contacts and other things n keeps them to ur memory card...
Later, if u even reinstall ur OS n loose the contacts n other things, u just have to install that particular app(cz reinstallation deletes all the Apps that u have installed) from which u have taken the backup n just restore them from ur memory card through that App...
Some such Apps are "Contacts to Excel", "Data Backup" etc...There are lots n lots of such apps in the BB app world...choose then one which will best suit ur need...

Contacts synchronization gets stuck after 8 contacts

Hi,
I have BB Bold 9700 with OS 6, I am using blackberry Desktop SW version 7.1.0.37.
When I sync my contacts with Outlook the synchronization is stuck in:
'"progressing"
Updating BlackBerry Address book data
updating 8 of 497 records'
I've tried updating BB SW (It also happened on older SW BB SW version) but it did not help.
All other synchronizations are successful (e.g. Calendar ...).
It seems that the problems is in my Black Berry since it takes much time to enter"contacts" after synchronization
Note that few of the contacts are in Hebrew
I also have a screen capture that I can send.
After sunchronization when I enter my contact in the BB I get the following error after couple of minutes "uncaught exception application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app(265) is not responding process terminated", then I can enter contacts and I see that 7 contacts were added but I cannot go into them (I get the same error)

PC Suite contacts synchronization E71

I have a brand new E71. Have problems with my blue tooth connection which I recognize now are pretty standard..... I was advise to install the latest software, which I did. Since this installation I am not able anymore to synchronize between my E71 and PCSuite. Anybody can help?

USB Cable / Bluetooth or Infra Red.

Once Sync is over, on your system tray, right click on sync icon, exit the application. Open Nokia PC Sync, create new sync settings(if pc suite allow you to create new sync settings), set your sync data range as one week in the past and one month in the future. Also make sure that your contacts does not have any special characters on first/last names...

Contact Synchronization with Microsoft outlook 2010

Hi I am unable to configure a specific folders for synchronization with my Z10.

Goal is to synchronize selective ( saved in single Folder / group) contacts with Blackberry Z10.
Created Separate group for Blackberry
Z10 is connected to computer with USB Cable and Link
On linke when I select Contacts / Calendar > Contacts Configure > Folders to Sync
I don't get any folder selection on the Link. Not sure if I am doing anything wrong or some bug.

I installed the FiOS Digital Voice synchronization ActiveX control without any problem. I would like to sync my contacts with my Outlook 2007 data. But it fails when I run it. I get the message “Invalid Credentials. Please relaunch the synchronization client and try again.”

Hey tombon22, in order to sync your verizon e-mail address to Outlook. You have to open Outlook click on Tools then select Account Settings and while on the E-mail tab click New to start the e-mail setup wizard. You must select
Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP; then fill out Auto Account Setup window; choose Internet E-mail from the E-mail Service window. In the Internet E-mail Settings window make sure the incoming server is set to incoming.verizon.net and the outgoing server is outgoing.verizon.net if its a regular verizon e-mail but if you have a verizon yahoo then its imcoming.yahoo.verizon.net and outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net don't forget tocheck remember password once you know the password is correct. You click on the More Settings button in the Internet E-mail Settings window click on the Outgoing Server tab then click in the box where it says My outgoing server requires authentication and click on the OK button to save your changes. When you come back to Add New E-mail Account window click on the Test Account Settings button and it should unless the password is incoreect or Outlook has a problem.

Outlook contacts synchronization issues

I cannot modify a contact in Outlook which has been created for me by Beehive - I get an 'Oracle Beehive Extensions for Outlook, Synchronization Issue, Updating Contact <name>'.
Beehive automatically created contacts, many of whom no longer work with Oracle (they were external contractors), or that I already had in my contacts. Now I have many contacts I don't want and I can't clean this up, since when I try, the next day they are all back again.
I click on the link in the message and it says the cause is "Cannot move, update or delete a contact that was created automatically for the workspace.".
- but I don't want any of these contacts.
What can I do? - this getting Kafkaesque.

as far I remember, you need to block / delete thus users from the messenger. This is the reason for sync. (in additonal you will receive all directs and pre-set user from the messenger automatically in outlook).
I use an iPhone. what worked for me:
- Killing the messenger,
- creating a Outlook sub-folder in contacts ("iPhone").
- Moved all my valuable contacts from a backup into this folder new folder.
- set- iTunes to sync with the contacts sub-folder "iPhone"
no more interference of the auto created users from beehive!
This will not work on Blackberries and iPhone that use notifylink! In notifylink the sync folders are pre-set and cannot be modified by the user.
With Rel 2, it is expected that you may make modifications to the auto created users. Wait till Rel 2 (which is expected to be rolled out sometime this calendar year).

Google Contact Synchronization

I just got a iPhone4 and trying to synchronize my google account. I could get gamil and calender right but not contact. As a matter of fact, when I'm registering my gmail account, there are fields for "Mail", "Calender", and "Note", but there is no option to synchronize "Contact". I went through some websites showing how to do it and they all show the "Contact" field, contrary to what I saw in my iPhone. I wonder somebody could shed light on this issue.

Trying to sync with Google is a DISASTER. I'm going to the Apple store and let them fix it. I have been screwing with trying to synchronize my Iphone and Google for 9 hours. What a piece of crap. I really wish I could go back to the old OS

Tour Outlook Contacts Synchronization Problem

Every time I wire synch my BB Tour with my MS Outlook, the Contacts on my computer (Dell PC) have added lines in the address of the contact and a repearted duplicated line of the street or suite part of the address. Is there a way to stop this. It does it on about 100 of my 1400 contacts every time I synch.

The following steps will help you to configure synchronization -
Connect your device using Desktop Manager and click on Synchronize
From the menu on the left click Synchronization under Configuration
Again click Synchronization button on the right which will give you option to Select Device Application that you want to synchronize
Put the check mark and you'll get a prompt to Select Desktop Application
Highlight the application name and click next button
Under Synchronization Option you get Direction of Synchronization
Check the radio button with Two way sync
Note: above mentioned steps are explained as per Desktop Manager 4.7
Example: Synchronize address book/calendar -
Connect you handheld with your desktop Manager in your PC. If you device is set to wireless sync then you need to turn off wireless synchronization.
To do so go to Address Book -> click Menu -> Options -> Wireless Synchronization: No -> click Menu and Save the changes. For Calendar, Calendar -> click Menu -> Options -> choose desired Calendar -> Wireless Synchronization: No -> click Menu and Save the changes.
Click on the Synchronize button on Desktop Manager -> Click on Configuration Tab then click on Configure Synchronization -> Click on Choose under Address Book/Calendar (on the right side of the pop up window) -> Click on you organizer apps (like, MS outlook, Lotus notes, Yahoo! etc) -> Select desired apps -> select Synchronization radio button and click OK twice go back to Synchronize tab ->click on Synchronize Now.

I have set up the icloud as the default account for contacts. but now i would also like to have updated these contacts on my gmail account. How to do this?

Google contact synchronization problems

I have a IPhone 4 and just upgraded to 5.0 os. I have two gmail accounts on my MacBook Pro (one for business and one for pesonal). I had no problems synchronizing with the old os. Now, when I synchronize, a get lots of changes to my Google contact list.
Examples are:
Prefixes to names are selectively added
Some contacts appear up to 12 times with exactly the same information
New account names and addresses are added. Dont know who they are. Some are from an old unused Microsoft Entourage file that has not been used for years. The IPhone shound not be picking up any contacts from any other files since I have specified sync with Google contacts only.
To solve the problem, I completely stripped all contacts off the IPhone. Then I spent hours correcting all contact errors from both accounts. I then used ITunes>Info>Sync address book accounts>Sync Google contacts>configure>sync.
All of the corrections I made in Google are gone. All prefixes, multiple accounts, etc. are back on both Google and on my Iphone.
What gives? Is this a software glitch? What am I doing wrong?
