Our county uses a filter named SOPHOS. If we use firefox it blocks everything. We are told to use Google. We cannot download the latest version of Firefox.
The County IT Department is very sketchy on why they are making everyone give up using Firefox. I'm an open source guy and so are a lot of other employees. We want to know if there is an ongoing effort to eliminate Firefox for public employees?

My guess is that Sophos is implemented as a proxy server. If you try various different proxy server settings in the following dialog, does it make any difference? Can you compare the corresponding settings in IE and/or Google Chrome?

As for the larger question, I can't think of any reason your IT would want to get rid of Firefox, other than aggravation over updates or concern over some add-ons. I have Photoshop Elements 12 for both PC and Mac (I use both). I have a new camera, Nikon D810. I downloaded the latest version of Camera Raw, 8.8. My D810 is listed as a supported camera model. However, when I try to open a raw photo in Photoshop Elements, I keep getting the message "Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw. I have tried reinstalling Camera Raw many times, and have tried to open many different raw files in Elements, and still get the same error message. Please help.
How did you try to install ACR 8.8. The only way I know of that works with Elements is to use the Updates Choice on the Help menu.

In your case, the Nikon D810 needs Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 8.6 or Lightroom 5.6. (Congratulations on buying a new camera!)
To get to that level with Photoshop Elements, you will need to replace your Photoshop Elements 12 with version 13. Adobe caps ACR updates on version 12 at 8.5.
The most convenient way to get around it without spending any money is to use the FREE from Adobe DNG Converter. Download and install it from here for FREE: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=5855&fileID=5890 Once it is installed you can convert your D810 raw files to an Adobe RAW version with the .DNG file extension that most, if not all, versions of the various Adobe software programs can use. That includes old versions of Photoshop, Elements and Lightroom. DNG converter can be used as the tool to move your files from your memory card to your computer, is efficient, will convert in batches and is completely lossless. There is no risk of any image quality degradation or RAW functionality. -

I have a iMac version 10.6.8 and used to have adobe flash player my laptop requires me to download the latest version of the player but warns me that there is a "risk" downloading from the internet. Anyone else experienced this and may have some solutions
Install it directly from Adobe. Ensure that you use the uninstaller before installing.

When I start iTunes, how do I get rid of the message "To use this machine for downloads, enter you Apple ID and password" which I now see twice since I downloaded the latest version of iTunes. Once is enough and no checkbox exists to say "do not show this message....."

I'm having a wee posting spree today after lacking the inclination to respond to the same old threads for the last few days. Safari is part of OS X and isn't available as a separate download. How did you get a newer version than the one that comes with Lion?

Is it no longer possible with the updated software ??Correct, Apple have removed that feature. However, you can still see the artwork of the song that's playing; it's shown in the Now Playing indicator at the top of the iTunes window. It is small, but if you click on it, a larger version pops up.
Also, in Albums View, you can see the album artwork. -
