Yes there is check out the feature opening a new window in a new tab.
Firefox menu > Preferences > Tabs the first check box.

After upgrading to firefox 4 im now having a lot of problems using the browser.
if i try an open a link in a new tab it will just open up a blank tab, if i click on links or even type in the google search bar at the top it doesnt do anything, it just says "done" and the circle thing stops as if im on the page already, have tested it with Safari doing the same things and Safari works fine. I'd swap but all my bookmarks and passwords are in Firefox so id rather stay with that.
I tried going back to the older version of firefox (3.5 or something) but seems the bugs are here to stay now.......so.......any ideas? because its really annoying, shouldn't have "upgraded".
Is there a new patch coming out anytime soon or should i start getting used to Safari?

Mark Lavery (Melbourne)I would copy over the entire thing if you have room. With iTunes 10.4 though, you can download any previous iTunes purchases you have made in the past with your current iTunes account. While in iTunes, look at the left hand side of your screen and select "Purchases" and look at the bottom right corner of the screen and select "Download Previous Purchases". If you have an iPhone, iPod and/or iPad...you can do the same thing from each device. Nice new feature...just remember that those ripped CDs need a back-up!!! Enjoy...

Can open multiple copies of single document at same time; is there a way to stop this?
We are running, Mac Pros with OS10.6.8 and CS5.5 . In the past with CS5 if you tried to open an InDesign document that was already open, it would take you to the open document. Since we upgraded to 5.5, if someone tries to open a document already open, it opens a second window of the same document (happens when preference is set to open in tabs also). This is causing problems with saving changes in one version and not the other. Sometimes when the second copy of the document is closed (changes were not made in this copy) it gets copied over the one with the changes. Is there a setting somewhere to stop this?
That makes sense. Until the file is actually saved it doesn’t truly exist as a 5.5 file.
You’ll see the word in the title bar.
Save the file in 5.5 and you shouldn’t have any problems.

firefox 5.0Are you using a bookmark? There is a little-known feature of bookmarks that can load them in Firefox's sidebar. This allows you to work with two pages side-by-side. To change that setting, right-click the bookmark > Properties, then uncheck the box for "Load this bookmark in the sidebar".
(You probably didn't set this yourself. If you use a link on a website to have the site add a bookmark to Firefox, due to restrictions on what sites can do, those will always be targeted toward the sidebar.)

Firefox did an automatic update to 6.01, and now my middle mouse button is not working in the browser. It doesn't close tabs, it doesn't open new tabs by middle clicking a link, it doesn't allow me to middle click to scroll the page..

I'm on Firefox 3.6.21, and I got this problem today after a Greasemonkey update (To version 0.9.10, apparently).
Disabling Greasemonkey solved the problem, and re-enabling it reproduced the problem (middle-clicking links to open in new tab did not work, merely highlighted the link).
I should also note that while Greasemonkey was enabled and the bug was affecting me, Ctrl+Click to open links in new tabs was also broken.

EDIT: It appears this is a known incompatibility/conflict bug between current versions of Greasemonkey and Tab Mix Plus. Read more here:

EDIT 2: GREASEMONKEY HAS NOW BEEN UPDATED with a workaround to fix the problem. Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/versions/ to install the update manually. Firefox is not letting me open another tab when I click the button or the 'new tab' in file. I have restarted my computer, installed an update, and I still have the same problem browsing.
In past threads, this problem has been linked with the Ask toolbar.

Wont open new tab when I click on it
When I click on the new tab it will not open at all. Right clicking on the new tab icon wont work either. I can open a new tab when I click on a link in a web page though.
I uninstalled the Ask.com toolbar and the problem was resolved.

How come I am not able to open new tabs? I clicked on new tab and I've tried to click on the + sign next to the current tab, but still I am not able to.

I can no longer open new tabs, either by clicking on the plus sign or by hitting control T. I tried re-installing, but it didn't help.
Try uninstalling the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and the current version of Firefox.

I installed Lion 10.7.4. Went to use Photoshop Cs and got a popup window. You can't open the application Adobe Photoshop CS because PowerPC applications are no longer supported. Is there a way of getting this to work or do I have to get newest version of all of my Power PC apps?

PowerPC applications are unsupported in newer versions. You can upgrade Photoshop or you can install Snow Leopard in a partition.
1. Open Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities) and select your drive
2. Go to Partitions tab, press + button, create a new partition and press Apply
3. Insert the Snow Leopard install DVD and reboot pressing C key
4. Install it in the new partition
5. If you want to change boot, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and select 10.7 -
Every time when Firefox is minimized to the tray and I open it up again i can't use it until I click on a tab that's not focused or on the search field with the mouse. It's completely locked, I can't press ctrl+1/2/3 etc to change tab or ctrl+e to go to search. Last time everything worked like it should was on release 3.5.14
Is there a way to fix this?
Edit: I've tried reinstalling Firefox and gotten a new profile, that didn't help.
Edit2: Updated to 3.6.9 and I still have the problem.
Edit3: Just installed 3.6.11, the problem is still there.
I can't understand how 3.5.14 can work and not a singel release after that.
Opera here I come, soon...- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
If still problem that indicates you have a bad headphone jack.

Without knowing anything about your computer we can't advise specifically. You can download CS6 versions in CC by checking the "older versions/ other versions" stuff in teh bottom section of the CC app's "Apps" tab, but that may not resolve your issues.
