Our imac cannot run any system beyond 10.4.11, but Firefox is our main browser; why are you leaving us without support?
Our imac is great, at 10 years old. We don't need a new one. Please make the new version of Firefox compatible with system 10.4.11--or continue to support our system. Why unnecessarily require your users to invest upwards of $1,000 in unnecessary hardware?
In my case it seems that Firefox just doesn't "see" (or can't find?) the coupon printer application anymore after the FF update. (and yes, my add-ons are enabled - to answer the tech support people's first question).
For me, the coupon printer doesn't even show up in my Firefox "Add-Ons" list anymore. Is that what people typically see when they're saying the coupon printer "doesn't work" with FF? The coupon printer was visible on the add-ons list before my FF update, and now it's totally Gone! It seems that Firefox just doesn't "see" (or can't find?) the coupon printer application anymore since the FF update.
When I'm on the coupons.com site and I click "print coupons", it tells me I haven't installed the application. But it Is installed on my computer, I can see it in my folders, and it works on IE, so it's definitely there.
BTW - I have uninstalled/reinstalled the coupon printer application. I have tried all the suggestions on the Mozilla help/forum sites, as well as the Coupons.com web site. I have closed and re-started Firefox after the installation. I have also shut down and restarted my pc after installation. I tried installing the application with Firefox open, and tried it again with Firefox closed. I've even cleared out all my cookies/history associated with Coupons.com.
... I can't think of anything else to try, except for the "solution" of using IE for coupons.
If it Really is a problem on the Coupon.com end of things, do you think it's worth it if we bombard the coupons.com support team with messages saying they need to fix the problem? (or just a waste of time?) ;(

Cannot update any system software
I currently cannot update any system/apple software in any way.
If I run Software Update from the apple menu/system prefs, it informs me that my software is up to date, even though this is clearly not the case.
If I download the updates manually from Apple's website, they refuse to install. When I get to the Destination selection screen (i.e. "Select a Destination: <list of volumes>"), my startup disk is disabled! In the Installer log it says the following:

This first happened to me when I tried installing the QT 7.1 and Security Update 2006-003 updates back in May. It's still happening now with iTunes 6.0.5 and QT 7.1.2. The last thing I installed through SU was Security Update 2006-002 back in March.
Any ideas? This really, really *****.

the thing i want to add is that i have repaired both my permissions and the disk itself on the startup volume, to no avail. neither console.log nor system.log say anything when Installer fails on its volume checks. -
Somehow, all of my exe files are tagged as Acrobat files - I cannot run any of the software on my computer - when I start the computer none of the startup programs run because they all try to open in acrobat.

DetailsWhat you should see on a restart is a black screen followed by a screen with the Apple (at which point you let go of the two buttons). There is no progress bar, just the Apple. The Apple will stay there for 15 seconds or so, then the "Slide to Unlock" screen will redisplay.
But, I don't think the reset will fix it for you. I just tested it, and it comes back on with the zoom still on. The only way to get it to zoom out is the tapping with the 3 fingers.
I said to double-tap....MY BAD! You need to triple-tap with three fingers!
Try that and see if it will display the zoom menu for you, or if it will zoom back out.

Well, this is embarrassing. We tried to display this Web page, but it's not responding.
Tell Mozilla about this crash so they can fix it.

Of course other browsers works 'perfectly' onto loading sites.
What can I do. Is this an e10s bug, that I could help to qualify and how?
Also looking for a workaroud. I want to restore my tabs onto a non-e10s window, but really don't figure how to do that. Means, after relaunching FF-nightly, restore my windows and tabs.

After 10.6.7 update cannot run any programs!
Everything was fine yesterday on 10.6.6 Updated this morning to 10.6.7 via Software Update. All went fine. Restarted and now cannot run Finder, Safari, iTunes etc etc ALL crash with unexpected error. Repaired disk in Safe mode but no change. Any ideas?
Because I've had strange problems with past system update downloads, I now always get my system updates from http://support.apple.com/downloads/
I always use the Update Combo version. It installs a fresh set of all previous updates as well as the new one. This gives you a fresh beginning with system 10.6.x. Since I adopted that practice, I've had no more issues with updates. -
IMac cannot detect ANY usb mass storage device.
iMac Core 2 Duo (White) cannot detect ANY usb mass storage device including iPod. Only Mice and Keyboards work via usb. Any solutions? OS X shows absolutely nothing when any usb device is connected.
Try resetting the PRAM. Hold down Option-Cmd--P-R together at the startup chime. Wait for two more chimes, total three, then let go to finish booting.
Try an SMC Reset. Shutdown, unplug from power, wait ten minutes, still unplugged, hold power button in for five seconds. Reconnect to power.
Run the Hardware Test in extended.

I cannot get any java applications to run whenever I try I get

for any application that I try to run. I was able to compile a application but not run it. I tried launching it via java -classpath . jeditinstall.jar and i recieved the error again. I am running RedHat 7.3 on a 686 with 512mb ram. Below are my enviroment variables that I have set.
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.0
export PATH=$PATH:$JAVA_HOME/bin
export CLASSPATH=.
Any help would be appreciated.I'm not exactly sure of the root to your problem but maybe you can try setting the classpath to contain the JAR file that you are running?
Also...I think you should be launching a JAR file by:
java -classpath -jar jeditinstall.jar

I have a trouble with OAS Reports Services 10gR2 (in Windows server) when I connect to Database 11g (in Oracle Linux server), because I can't run any report.
This issue not exist when I connect to another database server with 9i, all reports run fine!
Exist any restriction or compatibility issue with OAS10g and DB11g?
Can be an special configuration in $ORACLE_HOME/reports/conf/<report server>.conf?I found the problem I forget to run rw_server.sql in 11g.

Cannot run any of my CC software.
I have a current subscription to the cloud service and recently I am unable to run any of my programs like Premiere.
I can't open the adobe creative cloud desktop app.
I can't open my programs directly like Premiere.
Adobe Application manager seems to crash every time it launches.
I can't uninstall any of my adobe products as the uninstaller hangs and most likely crashes.
I can't get the installer to run at all period.
I've restarted my machine several times in hopes that it will fix itself.
I run Mac OSX 10.7.5 on a stock Macbook pro Late 2011 model.

I have six products in my home. I can only authorize five using my Apple ID. All my products are Apple - 1 IMAC, 2 MacBook Pros, 2 Iphones and 1 IPAD. This doesn't seem right - We are so Mac'd out in our home and yet we are now being limited to the number of products we can have using the same Apple ID. Any advice as to how to find a workable soliution to this?
