Our MAC Books have issues loading search engines like Google, when on the Corp. network, all other browsers work fine.
Our MAC users have trouble loading search engines on our Corp. network when going through our FWs. The browser works fine when they are on our guest network or out side the office.
system details are incorrect.... i am using FF4.0.1 as on the about firefox tab

Have checked firewall and network settings and compared to other computers running firefox. All is ok, but firefox won't load any webpages. This started immediately after it updated yesterday. No error messages.
Have been having problems with updates on serveral of our computers for a month or so. Previous problems have always been that firefox renames a file it needs by adding moz.backup to the file name and I have to search for the file and remove it. This time I'm getting no error messages.A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

when i use a search engine like google, yahoo, etc., when I click on the link, I am immediately redirected to another site. Many times I must hit "back", and click on the link again. Sometimes I am redirected again to another and different site. If I go back again and re-click, it will then take me to the link that is listed.

My Firefox ver. 3.6 stopped loading pages of any kind. Even Google or Facebook! I don't know how this happened. May it is because I tried to download a program that didn't even open up.... But I don't know how to make it work. All other browsers work normally, and I'm scanning for viruses even though my anti-virus did not warn me of anything... When try to connect my iPod touch 4th gen to my house Wifi it won't connect, it used to work fine but now it dosen't work, but it does say that the internet is available, but when I tap on it it just loads. all other devices work fine.
Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I have an iphone 2g unlocked for tmobile. For the past 2 years it has worked fine then out of no where I get this message "your selected cellular network is no longer available" and the service cuts in and out all day. It can't find tmobile on my phone for some reason but for 2 years previous it could no problem? tmobile says it is a problem with my phone and not their service.
Any ideas what to do?I would just explain that this just started happening, that nothing has changed on the phone, that it is an original iPhone and I wondered if they are implementing a change in coverage with their Edge network in my area.

To make our client site search and display results by google / yahoo or any other search engine what needs to be done?
we kept "meta" tag keywords and description in all our html file and mastheaders.
What we need to do for making our site searchable by search engines ( like yahoo search and google search etc)?
Do we need to register with the search engine sites or search engine will search our site automatically by checking "meta" tags in our web pages.?
All our webpages are in KM.

I havent tried this before, but would like to add my 2 cents to this topic.
I guess you could start by submitting your site to google - http://www.google.com/addurl/
Search engines rely on a lot more than just the meta tags and other header information. I guess Google relies on something called PageRank and also track backs in order to determine the relavance of your site to the search criteria.
You may also search for document related to SEO (Search Engine Optimization) but not sure if that would work.

This hardly ever fixes any thing, but it is the easiest thing to try. Go the start menu >> All Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> System Restore. My apple TV has been working fine. Now it gives me error -3906 and says it cant connect to the network. it wont accept the password for my wifi. I have tried to restart and restore both the apple tv and my modem. still the same issue and same error message. any ideas?

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

If you go to the affected site and try to search (upper right hand corner of site) you will have "Suggested searches" popping up. However, with Firefox 4 and newer you are not able to select any of the possibilities. This worked fine with earlier versions of Firefox and works with other browsers. I've seen this problem elsewhere as well but can't remember the web sites. Hope you can fix it with CNET! Thank you.

I had the same problem, i found a solution :
You have to delete the file named chromeappsstore.sqlite, which is located in C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default
(where XXXX is your User name and xxxxxxxx.default is your profile name)
Then restart Firefox, it should recreate the file, and it should be working good now.
Note : Before deleting it, just rename it or make a backup, and make sure everything is working.

Why does my mac air reject new wifi password when all other devices work fine
My mac air rejects our new wifi password, but all other devices are working fine including this ancient mac. The mac air is OSX 10.8.5
Power Cycle
Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
Restart the computer.
Start up in Safe Mode. OS X Mountain Lion/ Mavericks/Yosemite
