Out of 7 applications, 5 have failed to install

What am I doing wrong?
I am downloading the applications using some installer from Adobe but I am continually receiving an Installation Fail message.  the actual error states"Installation complete though some optional components failed to install correctly"
So whats the problem, anyone know?

Quaker what Adobe applications or services specifically are you facing difficulty installing?  Also which operating system are you using?

  • PSE 11 Install problems -  Shared Technologies have failed to install

    Hi All,
I am hopeful that someone will be able to provide me with a little advice regarding the installation of PSE11.
I have attempted to run the install via the BD media, Copeied BD media to HDD and download from Adobe site but I keep on getting the shared technologies error.
    I have followed the advice laid out in;
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-installation-photoshop-elements- premiere.html#main_Error__Below_mentioned_applications_have_failed_to_install__Shared_tech nologies_
    and also attempted to recover the log file as explained in;
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-install-using-logs-elements.html #main_main_log
The installation failure appears to be taking place following the organiser when it tries to install the shared technologies.
I have attempted to install with all non essential windows services switched off and I have also used the CS cleaner as well as ASA log reader but to no avail.
If anyone could point me in the direction of a solution it would be greatly appreciated.
    Edit: The ASA log has thrown up the following;
"cpsid_82829s1: "A restart is pending," bootstrapper error has occurred.
Click here for details and corrective actions related to this issue."
    I have gone in to the registry as per adobe advice;
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-error-messages-bootstrapper-cs5.html
But I cannot find an InProgress key to delete.
    Regards
    Neil

Which download did you try? Was it the version from Adobe store. If so try a different source by using the free trial from the link below. Then validate the product with your serial number.
Before you begin uninstall the existing PSE11 application via the control panel.

  • Installing Pre Elements 11  Error: Shared Technologies have failed to install

    Hi,
having problems installing Pre Elements on my windows 7 laptop.
I'm trying to install the 64bit version as I'm running 64bit windows 7.
I've been working my way though this web page to find a solution to the error...
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-installation-photoshop-elements- premiere.html
First up, I had the demo version of Elements (which installed and ran perfectly), which I uninstalled before installing the purchased product from Adobe, and re-downloaded the installs from the Adobe shop servers.
I have currently also have a CS6 installation on my laptop.
I ran the ASA tool and all it sees is my CS6 installation.
I went though the windows Program file directories and made sure all Elements stuff was deleted.
I've checked the MSCONFIG to see what Adobe services are running at startup, and I turned off everything that was associated with Adobe.
I've copied the downloaded installer exe and packaged file to a folder on the C: root.
I'm running the installer from there and when it unpacks the files I make sure it unpacks them to the same directory in the C:
The problem seems to be with the 'shared components. The install gets most of the way through installing the Organizer when it quits and rolls back the installation.
No extra info is given by the installer on why it has run into a problem.
I've tried to install Photoshop elements too and that stalls at the same point.
    Thanks.

  • Adobe Application Manager: updates failed to install

It may be pertinent to tell you that I have re-installed Win7-64 and all my applications after a disk crash.  I've reinstalled Bridge, Photoshop-- my entire CS5 package.  All was well for a few days, then I got a popup to update several produces.  The above shows what didn't update.  What to do?

Bobbi999 I have heard a couple possible causes.  Some individuals have reported if they set the clock back on their computer they are able to obtain the updates automatically.
Considering it is extremely unlikely there will be any additional updates released for Creative Suite 5 I would recommend applying the updates directly.  You may also want to consider backing up the updates in case you need to reinstall them again in the future.

  • Developer application Failed to install

    Hi
We created a developer application which eventualy failed to install. At the end of the sync with iTunes it generates an error:
    Failed to install [app name]
We double check the provisioning file and checked inside the:
    settings-general-profiles
the profile name exists and signed as verified.
    Any clues?
    Thanks
    Eli

In our case, definitely yes. We're still getting the same problem. we re-created every certificate. Even had 2  sets of eyes on it through every step to make sure we were doing it correctly. Still the 'failed to install' message. on 3 separate iPads. We're stumped.

  • Install of CUCM 8.6.1.10000-43 on VMWare fails on installing progmeter

    Hi, Everyone
First time post here, and first time installing CUCM (any version).
I built a VM using a downloaded OVA template for CUCM 6.5.1.10000-43, and the install fails with a critical stop.  Once I figured out how to dump logs to the virtual serial port, and looked at the install.log, I found the following information that looks like where the install failed (these are the only LVL::Error and LVL::Critical messages in the log).
It looks like install failed to install the progmeter application component.
Does anyone know what this app does?  Any ideas on why it might have failed to install and possible workaround?
I may already have the answer to the question, as I'm attempting install on a VM running on VMWare vServer (rather than ESX/ESXi/vSphere).  It is possible that simply being on an unsupported configuration is my problem.  I'm trying to work with the equipment immediately available to me, but fully understand that I may have set myself up for failure by even attempting this.
    Any help is appreciated greatly.
    Regards,
    Sean C

    Hi,
Has anyone found a fix for this?
I am trying to run call manager 8.6.1 on the following enviroment
    VMware ESXI 4.1
    4GB of RAM
    80 GB HDD Space
I have allocated the VM one CPU
In regards to vsergeyey reponse I have checked the network adapter and this is flexible.
I have run the OVA template firstly before mounting the image
I have tried installing numerous times.
    Each and every time near the "Installing Database Component" I get the following error;

  • App-V apps intermittantly fail to install via SCCM

    Hi,
I have a few sequenced apps deployed using SCCM to our work computers.  These apps are deployed to User collections.  When a new computer is brought online they intermittently fail to install, however if you manually 'retry' the installation in
Software Center, after the 4th or 5th attempt of retrying they install successfully.  Some apps fail to automatically install far more than others with one app failing to install consistently.
When the apps fail to install the streaming-transport debug log shows errors for Auto-Proxy detection and failure to send or receive HTTP responses to the distribution point full path to the .appv package file.  Send failures return an HResult of 0x80190193.
Receive failures return an HResult of 0x80190193 or 0x80072f0c.
The AppEnforce.log file returns an HResult of 80190193 and "The provided URL could not be resolved.  Please check that the URL is valid."  I assumed this to be the FQDN part of the command line that points at the DP package location.
The bit that puzzles me the most is that if it was a problem with the DP then surely none of the apps would install, and certainly a persisting with a manual 'retry' wouldn't produce a successful install result.
We use a proxy server.  AutoDetect proxy settings in IE is disabled and the FQDN of the Site Server/Distribution Point has been added to the Intranet Zone in IE.  If I tell IE not to use a proxy at all I still get the same errors (including the
auto proxy detection error) in the Streaming-transport debug log for the apps that have failed to install.
The App-V 5 deployment types are all configured to stream rather than download and run.  If I switch them to 'download and run' they all consistently install without errors.
App-V clients are configured to use 'shared cache mode' and 'package scripts' is enabled.
Our environment is as follows: SCCM 2012 SP1 running on Server 2012.  App-V 5 SP1 clients installed on Windows 7 Enterprise with SP1.
Any ideas as to what is going on would be welcomed as I've been tearing my hair out with this for a week!

    Hey Tim,
Since we're targeting  vmware view machines in floating pools with roaming profiles we can't really go live with download and execute as the users will stab away at the dead shortcuts and raise calls with service desk until their apps finish downloading.
Going to try and resolve the intermittent Add-AppvClientPackage
    and
    Publish-AppvClientPackage
and return to the SSL issue later.

  • Shared components failed to install

I have recently purchased a graphics  tablet that came with a bundle dvd of software that included Photoshop Elements 9. However, my computor does not have a dvd drive, so I was able to successfully install all the software onto my computor by transferring the files from the disk onto a flashdrive and installing from there- well, that is all except photoshop. It kept failing to install the "shared technologies." From there, I tried installing the programs straight onto my flashdrive and cutting and pasting the files onto my computor. The welcome screen would pop up, but nothing else would happen.
    Any suggestions for my situation?

You can't install to another computer or drive and simply move the files around. There are registry keys on Windows that tell the computer where the files are, so when you move them it breaks things (this is true of any large application, not just PSE or Adobe applications).
But your method of install (copying the disk to a flash drive and installing from there) should not be the source of the problem, that should work just fine. I believe the Shared Components failing to install would have happened even if you had the correct disk drive to install directly.
Take a look at this document for more info about this behavior: Troubleshoot installation | Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements | Windows > Error: Below mentioned applications have failed to install: Shared technologies.

  • IPhone configuration utility fails during install

Hi, I'm trying to use the iPhone configuration to setup the APN settings on an iphone 4, but every time I try to install, it says the configuration profile cannot be installed on device. When I look at the console, there doesn't really appear to be any type of error that stands out. Why would this keep failing to install for. It's the 3.6 version on a 6.0 IOS  This apple stuff is such a pain?
Here is the log after trying to install the profile.

  • Photoshop CS6 update is failing to install

The Photoshop CS6 update (uisng the Adobe Application Manager) is failing to install. It download correctly but halp in the install it fails without any errors. What is the solution to fix this.
    TIA

I'm having the same issue and your tech support told me that there is an issue with the update(s) and wireless connections.  I switched to wired and the same issue exist.  On the page from the link you posted, there is no update for Photoshop CC CS6 BUT the Adobe Application Manager AND "updates" within PS says that there is.  I just signed up for CC 1 app but if you cannot support the end-user(s) any better than this I will cancel my membership.

  • Workflow Manager 1.0 - We're sorry the product failed to install

I know the title is the same as a previous post, but that was over a year ago and my issue was not in any of the replies.
I have a development SharePoint 2013 system running on a VM of Windows Server 2012 R2.  SQL Server 2012 R2 Enterprise is also installed on the same VM.  Has 30GB of free disk space and 12GB RAM.  This VM is NOT a DC but is patched with all
    the latest updates.
Each time I download and run the Web PI and Add WorkFlow Manager 1.0, it appears to install, then I get the message:
We're Sorry.  The following products have failed to install.
    Windows Manager Client 1.0 Refresh
This product did not download successfully:  An exception occurred during the WebClient request.
    Microsoft Windows Fabric V1 RTM
This product did not download successfully:  An exception occurred during the WebClient request.
    Service Bus 1.0
This product cannot be installed because a product that it depends on did not install successfully.
    Workflow Manager 1.0
This product cannot be installed because a product that it depends on did not install successfully.
The following products were successfully installed.
    Execute ASP.NET IIS registration tool
I have attempted several times and different ways, but it will not install. Even tried the Offline installation as well with no success.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi,
For CU there are Prerequisites, please check the following requirements:
    Software requirements:
PowerShell 3.0 must be installed on the computer to be updated. PowerShell 3.0 is included in the Windows Management Framework 3.0 installation. Go to Windows Management Framework 3.0 to install this update.
Workflow Manager Client 1.0 must be installed on the computer.
For computers that have Workflow Manager 1.0 installed, the following additional requirements apply:
The Service Bus for Windows Server cumulative update must be installed on the whole computer farm before you install the cumulative update for Workflow Manager 1.0
also Service Bus for Windows Server must be installed on the computer.
You must have administrative credentials on the computer where you are installing the software.

  • FP17 Pepper debugger fails to install on Chrome 42 (OS X 10.8.5)

With today's update to Chrome 42, the Flash Player content debugger for Opera and Chromium based applications – PPAPI silently fails to install. Does anyone know who needs to know? A colleague is also having this issue and they're using a later version OSX.

    Hi Scott,
    On Windows,
    1. Uninstall Existing PPAPI Flash Player using Uninstaller on Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Page
    2. Install Flash Player Debugger for PPAPI from Adobe Flash Player - Downloads Page, here you will find Download the Flash Player content debugger for Opera and Chromium based applications – PPAPI
    3. Once PPAPI Debugger is Installed on your system,
In %WINDIR% [32-bit and 64-bit Windows: frequently asked questions - Windows Help]
    If Win 32 Bit,Goto --> C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash, here you will find pepflashplayer32_<current version>.dll
    If Win 64 Bit,Goto --> C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash, here you will find pepflashplayer64_<current version>.dll
Copy this file to Desktop and Rename this file to pepflashplayer.dll
Open Chrome, in the Address bar type- Chrome://plugins
    Click on Details
Goto Adobe Flash Player - Version: <current version> row
Select the Location from where PPAPI Installer is been used,
Location will look something like this - C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\<current version of chrome>\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll
    Goto this Location
Take back up of this Plugin
    Paste the Debugger Plugin
    Done.
