Out of Warranty Cost

My laptop runs good, every part works but after owning it for 6 years, it has had its share of being dropped. Do you all offer a flat out of warranty fee that would cover replacing the lower housing or the casing?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. Glad to hear you have been pleased with your Notebook. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook. Here is a link to your manual for the parts number. 3-2 page tells you the parts.
Plastics Kit 5979162-001 comes with the following.
1 ExpressCard door
2 Hard drive port bezel cover
3 Memory module compartment cover
Here is a link to order parts in the USA. Just put in your serial number and it will give you a list of parts available.

IPhone 4s (out-of-warranty) cost of screen repair?

So I have an iPhone 4s that I know is out-of-warranty. I do not have Applecare+. Today at work my phone got knocked off a table onto the floor, and when I checked the phone, everything was working fine. But when I went to check it on my break a couple hours later, the screen was shades of blue/whiteblack with vertical lines running up and down the screen. My phone still vibrates/rings when getting a call, and it will light up the screen when I get a notification, but the screen itself has no functionality. I can't see anything. And everything else about the handset is perfect--no cracks or broken glass, just a small chip on the back bottom left corner and a small scratch on the front bottom left corner glass that have been there since about 6 months in when I dropped it in a parking lot. I know it is some sort of internal hardware issue and not a software problem because I took a screenshot of my blue striped screen and then looked at the photo via the iCloud photo stream on my PC. The screenshot looks like my normal screen with the time and everything on it. I really feel like the screen just has a connection knocked loose or something.
I know that the phone is out-of-warranty, and that I will have to pay for a repair/replacement--I don't mind having to pay to fix it--but I am wondering if it will be even possible to get it fixed at the Genius Bar, or will they just turn me away and tell me I need to purchase a brand new handset at full price (which I really cannot afford) because I am out of warranty.
Any advice?

Powerbook G4 out of Warranty - Cost to fix?

I have a 1Ghz G4 powerbook with the horizontal fritz issue. It is out of warranty. I read the other "long" post on the fritz issue, but could not determine if Apple still offers the fixed price repair of this issue? I saw that it was $350, but could not tell if that is still offerred. Can anyone confirm or deny the availability of this service?

There are 387 posts in the thread you refer to, not 5000. Since that thread was finally locked last fall, there have been no new posts here about the multiple different symptoms and underlying problems that all got mixed up in it, or about how Apple dealt with any of them. You can wait for people who contributed to that thread to tell you what the outcome was for them. But like it or not, only Apple is going to decide what it's willing to do about your problem.

IPhone -no wifi - out of warranty costs UK

I have a 3G phone which is a replacement issued in May for a previous fault. Since the 3.0 upgrade I have had intermittent problems with no wi-fi and despite restoring, various resets and so on, the problem is now permanent. I called Apple and, in short, they told me it was out of warranty (3 months since 11 May) and I could pay for a repair at £140. Even if this repair took 5 minutes in a retail store, it would still be £140.
This appears to be a known fault, and it started well within the 3 months (that I did not know applied). I do not think the repair charges are at all reasonable, and my only option appears to be to put up with this for the remainder of the contract and then get a new device, not an iPhone. I will be unable to sell this one as it is broken. I would sooner smash the phone with a hammer than pay £140 for the repair, but I need Wifi too, especially when travelling. The network, 02, are useless and no help.
So I guess I will be getting a pay as you go something else and sitting out the contract with O2, then that is the end for me an the iPhone!
Pity because my house is full of Apple stuff (G5 powermac, 2 x iMac, Macbook, old iPhone, Aple TV, 2 x old iPod and a iPod Touch)
Any suggestions to help resolve this, or choice of a new phone?

I have had my iPhone replaced three times in total by Apple (despite having insurance with O2). On two occasions, the phone was replaced due to Wi-Fi problems. I demonstrated in store that the Wi-Fi was not stable, and they replaced it no questions asked.

Apple does not have a trade-in program. You can either try and restore your iPod, or you can try and sell it yourself. In some locations, Apple does provide for a recycling program, but the amount provided for devices is quite low.

Getting the screen repaired by Apple Store.
I am located in India and had bought the phone from India only.

Apple no longer sells the iPhone 5. They keep a number of units on hand for out of warranty service, which is $269 in the US.
Buying from Craiglist (or on-line) is usually risky as the phones turn out to be not what they are advertised as.

I am not sure what device you are trying to replace the battery on, but usually the battery is at least 30% of the cost of the device from what I have read. Apple likes to keep a monopoly on batteries I think. I have never seen them replace a battery at the store, usually they have to ship it out. You can find batteries for sale online, but you will have to crack the device open yourself.

I would have expected this cost to decrease not increase with the announcement of the new iPhones yesterday.

I think they must have increased it recently because I was told $269 to replace my iPhone 5 on 9/13/13. I don't know how iPhone 5 replacements are going to work out now that they won't be carrying them anymore.

Cost to repair out-of-warranty t60

I love my out-of-warranty t60 and rather than store it, i wanted to see if fixing is worth it.
The only problem it has is the display screen. The blacklight gradually grew dim/red and now it does not come on for longer than 2 seconds on first boot. Thus, the laptop can only be used with an external monitor.
How do I got about paying for repairs via Lenovo/IBM paid repair service? What would be the estimated cost involved? I remember about 2 yeas ago i paid around 250$ to replace my cooling fan. I tried emailing the rep I dealt with but got no reply.

Apple should be fixing this problem for free. It is a hardware issue. Check the Web. A lot of your customers are having the same problem. If I have to spend money to fix this I will be choosing a different cell phone provider

That the problem has happened to someone else, or even to a couple of dozen people, does not make it a "widespread problem". Apple has sold millions of iPhones, so even if hundreds have experienced the problem that's still a very small failure rate.
Your iPhone is out of warranty, so you will need to pay for service. If Apple finds this to be a screen issue, in many Apple Stores they can replace the screen for US $149. If it's not a screen issue or your local Apple Store can not yet replace the screen, then Apple replaces the entire iPhone. Those are their policies, and complaining about it, particular here in these user-to-user forums, will accomplish nothing.
You are free to pay some unauthorized shop to attempt repair, or attempt your own repair, if you wish, though you will void any further support from Apple, for any price, if you do.
