HI
Can any one guide me, how to set the out put device. IN my Ides i have LP01.. i want to assign to my printer. , how to do? pls advise

the printer settings to be done by basis person and not by functional consultant
To specify the printer name in the SAP R/3 client, use the su3 transaction.
Enter su3 in the transaction name area. Click on the green check enter icon.
The next screen is the information maintenance screen for the user. Select the Defaults tab.
In the OutputDevice field, enter the name of the selected SAP R/3 printer to be used by this client.
Check the Output immediately box.
After filling in the necessary information, save the changes by clicking on the save icon (the diskette icon just to the right of the transaction box.)
Click the up arrow icon to exit the su3 transaction.
if the printer is insatlled then for po printing use transaction
OMGF and add lp01 to the pur grp

There are two possible soundcards for this notebook and each has its own driver. There is a Realtek device and a Contexant device. First try to install the Realtek device, here is a link. If that driver does not work for you I suggest trying the Contexant driver. Here is the link.
If neither of these drivers work I'd like to see if Windows is detecting a sound card at all. Try the following.
Click Start, type "Device Manager," and press Enter.
Do you have a "Sound, video, and game controller" section? If so, expand it.
List everything you see here.

Spool: Invalid Output Device

For New S2 you need create a new Output and driver prog can be p1.
You can't define to Smartforms for one Output type.

Maintain out put device in your user master data

Hi Experts,
My invoice is not get printing, it is giving error as maintain an ouput device in your user master data
I have maintained output in SU01->user id->Default->printer name.
still invoice is not printing it is giving same error & if i directly give print it gives error
*An error occurred while output was being issued. It is possible, for example, that the form to be issued has not been activated or has an error. An error may also have arisen while the data to be issued was being edited.
Procedure
Check possible causes of the problem.*
if I go in SP02 & check that spool request gives following error
Spool request 29,663 in system SPS is empty
If i send it by ZPDF it gives following error
OTF end command // missing in OTF data
Error in function CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF
can anybody guide me?

Out put in Background (SM37) not showing All columns

Hi Folks,
Im creating an out put display for my query in background , we have define an output device , after submitting the query in back ground it just showing me only 10 columns . I mean I its not showing me all columns when I went to SE37-> select job->spool ->view (display).
Why its happening?
Please help me

When you are submitting the job in background by exexuting your query from Sq01 or Tr.code , a screen will pop-up ask for you device name, on the same screen youll see properties hit that, itll take you to another screen and change the report format 65 and 200 or 65 and 200. It depends on your out put device . You can only display report till 255 . If you want to active ALV functional enable in background spool job you have to use extracts for that . So you can download your data in correct format.
You can also decrease the length of variables in query so within 255 characters you can see all report columns.

Problem with email out put

Hi SD gurus,
I have enabeld emailing fucnitnality for an out put.
Maintained record for the same.
When I am creating order it is pulling the out put in to the order.BUt when i am saving the order the out put didnt get succes and it is red color.
I checked proceeing log and the error is " Maintain an output device in your user master record "
I even maintined out put device as per above error message in SU01.
But sill getting same error in the out put.
Can somebody help resolve this.

Goto VV12 T.Code.
Select your output type.
Execute.
Click on Communication.
Here maintain the output device as LP01/LOCL or as the entry required for you from F4 help.
Tick print immediately.
Save.

Delivery out put issue

hi,
i am not able to get the print preview for delivery output, i have checked delivery output has got determined, when i goto vl02n, and issue out put then i am able to get the delivery output type, when i select the output type and click on the print preview i get the error "output could not be issued" errormessage no. vl086.
please suggest

Hi,
1) Kindly check what output type is assisgned to the Delivery Type at OVLK.
2) Then goto Tcode-> NACE.
Select V2-> 'Shipping' and click on Condition Record.
Then select the approprieate Access sequence and check whether condition record is maintained or not.
3) If condition record does not exit create , if created then select the approprieate method and Select the condition record and click on the communication button. Here Output Device, Print immediately should be checked.

Out Put issue in Billing

Hi Gurus,
I have customized billing document out put as follows:
1) i have maintained condition table 002 that is Sales Org/Billing document type.
2) i have maintained condition type with Z and given appropriate name and In the overview i have maintained following details against each Tab:
    General Data tab :
           i have given access sequence as 002 that is Sales
                            org and billing type i have clicked on Access to
                            conditions.
     Default values tab :
         Dispatch time : 3 Send with application own transaction
         Transmission medium : Print output
         Partner function : BP bill to party
         Communication Strategy : blank
     Time tab:
         no were i have maintained any value.
     Storage System:
         Storage Mode : printing only
         Document type: SDINVOICE
      Print:
        Print Param : Sales organization
In Processing routines :
in output type : i have maintained my own output type
Application : V3
Medium : Print out
Program : RLB_INVOICE
FORM routine : Entry
PDF/Smart form : ZLB_BIL_VATINVOICE2
Partner function :
i have maintained Out type
                              Medium : print out
                              function : BP
In determination procedure V10000
      i have maintained my output types and i have given requirement 62 for my all out put types.
and i have assigned this out type procedure to my billing documents.
i have maintained condition records (VV31) for my key combination Sales org and billing type.
But problem is after saving my billing document and posting the billing document i am not getting out put type automatically.
Even i am not able to see any billing documents in t-code VF31 after giving necessary details.
So pls tell me where i am wrong in config
My second question is we have made couple of invoices proper to this config so will system pick up those invoices which are pending for print out by giving VF31.
Please reply me on urgent basis since all the invoices are pending for print out and client is panic.
Correct asn will get good reward.

        I want a mail to get triggered to the customers personal mail id when raised an order and out put is issued,I gave mail id in sold to party.And t here is external send routine also in BA00,even though i couldnt process that

Use the following method
Defining Output Devices for Printing Using E-Mail
To print using e-mail, you must specify an output device in the print window that has been specially set up for this print method. You can create the output device through the device definition.
This definition creates an output device that sends the print data as an attachment to an e-mail. You can then open and print the print data with the appropriate program.
·        The access method M must be available in the device definition (transaction SPAD -> Output Devices -> Change -> Output device -> Create/Create Using Template -> HostSpoolAccMethod -> Host Spool Access Method).
If the access method M is not available, you must first run report RSPO0075 in transaction SE38, to activate the access method. It will then be available to you in transaction SPAD.
To do this, enter the name of the report in the Program field in transaction SE38, and choose Execute. Select the option Add Access Method, and choose the access method M as the access method to be added.
·        In principle, you can use any device type that can be used in the device definition. However, you must ensure that a suitable printer or display program is available on the target system.
For e-mail printing with device type pdf1, there must be a PDF display program available, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, so that you can open and print the attached PDF file as required.
Procedure
If you want to create a device definition for printing using e-mail, follow the procedure below:
       1.      Call transaction SPAD, and choose Output Devices.
       2.      If you are not in change mode, switch to this mode by choosing Change.
       3.      You can now do the following:
¡        You can create a new device definition by choosing Output Device -> Create.
¡        You can use an existing device definition as a template.
To do this, click the entry for the output device that is to be used as a template, and choose Output Device -> Create Using Template.
       4.      Specify the name of the output device and fill out the mandatory fields of the individual tab pages as follows:

If the user in the print window selects an output device with access method M for printing using e-mail (and for releases up to SAP Web AS 620, then chooses enter), a field appears, in which the user can enter an e-mail address if required. The length of this mail address is restricted to 50 characters.
                            b.      If no e-mail address is specified, the e-mail is sent to the address that is specified in the device definition.
The length of this e-mail address is also restricted to 50 characters.
                            c.      If there is neither an e-mail address specified in the print window, nor in the device definition, the mail is sent to the mail address from the user profile (transaction SU01). By default, the creator of the mail is entered here.
This function was originally developed to replace the frontend printing function that was missing up to SAP Basis 4.6 for the SAP GUI for HTML. The user should be able to send the print file to himself or herself by e-mail and to print it.
       5.      Save your entries.
The message text of the e-mail is defined by default, however, you can change it, as described at the send of SAP Note 311037.
For more information about printing using e-mail, see SAP Note 513352 in the SAP Service Marketplace.
Result
You can use the output device defined for access method M to print using e-mail. If you choose a print function such as , you can specify this output device in the following print window.

Out put is repeating

hi,
i am using smartforms for chalan ,i want to take my print out page like 215 * 139 mm. i created to page format and assinged to format types and assigned to device type also.but when i click the print button the output come 2 pages, i couldn't stop for after first page
finished. i am using epson lq-2170 printer. in that printer settings it's not available for our page format. how do i solve this issue?

For this no need to Create Crystal Report, It can be possible through Group by and Sort by in PLD.
For Using Sort By
Click on the repetative area in field index
Go to Printlayout designer on menu bar - repetative area - sort
It will open another window sort
1.In the field name give item no. and second Item Name
2.sort type alpha numeric
3.Check summary and uncheck new page
All the items with item code 001 will come in series.
Now we have to use group by
For Using Group By
Place Two formula fields in repetative area Above
001 ABC 10 15000 01 05
Put SortValue() for first
and also Sort Value for Second also.
Select two fields then go to Print Layout designer group. Select group 1 over there
Then the out put will be as
001 ABC
001 ABC 10 15000 01 05
001 ABC 10 15000 02 03
001 ABC 10 15000 03 02
Hide the field ItemCode and Name.
We can have
001 ABC
             10 15000 01 05
             10 15000 02 03
             10 15000 03 02

Sales order(out put edit)

dear all,
hi, i would like to know about the out put edit in a sales order, after giving ba00(order confirmation), then i went for comunication method - its given as LPO1,
but i wanted to give it as LOC1 and save the order.
but after giving the LOC1 and after pressing on enter button, i got a caution device LOC1 doesn't exist.
what i have to do to procced further on, if some one knows about this do let me know.

Hi,
Are you using output determination or you are entering manually the output type BA00 in the sales order ?
If you are entering manually the output type BA00 in the sales order than you should just go to "Communication method" button and select what printer you like. At this moment the save button is not active; you should press back and after that "Save".
If you are using output determination and the BA00 output type is coming automatically in your sales order (if wrong printer) than check in transaction VV12 for output type BA00 what conditions are maintained and here you have to change the default printer.

OUT PUT FORMAT MIS MATCHING

Hi Gurus,
One of our user is facing an issue while giving a print out, when he is giving a print the out put of the print out size is very small.
Details : ECC5.0
Printer : HP laserjet 2600
Network printer
Any suggestions how to go ahead with this issue.
For the above details which drivers will be suitable.

Hi,
For HP Laserjet, there are lot of suitable device type of similar type. Choose any HP related device type and also while firing the printout ask user to select the correct format type. Is it a smartform or standard ALV print. Ask user to choose the correct format type.

XML PUBLISHER report in Excel out put problem

Hi Experts,
I have developed one XML report which output type is EXCEL in Oracle Application.
I am getting some -ve value in the report so I need to do the trailing sign
Menace for example I got a value -8645 I need to display the value like (8645).
This functionality is working in PDF output but in EXCEL out put it is not working.
Could any body please help me on this..
