Outbound deliveries with movement type 311

Hi every body,
My problem is the following :
I need to make a transfert from a storage location to an other storage location in the same plant with an outbound delivery.
I try the tcode MB1B movement type 311, but I have just the creation of a transfert order.
I activate the customizing MM "Set up Stock Transport Order"> Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations>Activate Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations
But I still have the creation of a transfert order.
Anybody could help me?

Hello Kari,
To enable stock transport order you have to customize folowing settings Formation in *OSS note 498143.*
1. You must assign a delivery type to the purchase order document type/supplying plant combination. You can do this in the IMG for purchasing under "Purchase Order > Set Up Stock Transport Order > Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule". NL (Replenishment delivery) is provided for intra-company-code stock transfers and NLCC (Replenishment delivery cross company) for cross-company-code stock transfers.
2. You must assign sales and distribution (SD) organizational units to the supplying plant. They are a sales organization and a
distribution channel. Purchasing > Purchase order > Set up Stock Transport Order > Plant.
3. You must assign a customer master record to the receiving plant. IMG Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set Up Stock
Transport Order > Plant. You require a customer master record for the receiving plant. This customer master record must be
created for the organizational units of the supplying plant
(point 2) (Logistics > Sales and Distribution > Master Data > Business Partners > Customers > Create -> sales and distribution VD01 or total XD01).
For the intra-company-code stock transport (PO DOC TYPE UB), it is sufficent to create the customer master record as a goods recipient (VD01). For the cross-company-code stock transport with shipping and billing documents, a complete cutomer master reccord is required (XD01).
4. For the material to be transferred, you must create the sales organization data for the sales organization/distribution channel
of the supplying plant (point 2), and you must maintain the sales view (general plant data) for the supplying plant.
5. If there is a cross-company-code stock transport, you must create a vendor master record for the purchasing organization of the receiving plant. You must assign the supplying plant to the vendor master record. The assignment is executed in the vendor master record from the purchasing organization screen using "Extras > Additional Purchasing Data".
6. You must enter a shipping point for the combination of shipping condition (from the customer master record of the
ordering plant, see point 3) - loading group (from the material master) - supplying plant, IMG: Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination > Assign shipping points.

hai experts
I have deleted AAA storage location (in spro) actually stock is available in that storage location. now again i have created AAA storage location (in spro), now i want to trf. that stock.. while doing MB1B with mov. type 311 at the time of saving i am getting error message like this: of the required qty. of material 12356789 (material code) 100.00 kgs remain (s) open.
Pl. help me to come out of this problem

Your deletion and recreation has nothing to do with this message, here am very certain.
But to identify what the message caused, you have to give the full message along with its message number (double click message)
It looks like you post your 311 in reference to a document (order, or reservation..). and the quantity that you move is smaller than the requested quantity.

REM- Planned order with Movement type 311

Hi,
I want to use movement type 311 along with planned order in MFBF but system is not allowing me.
Do I need to mention movement type 311 somewhere in configuration of planned order.

Basically Movement 311 will be used for Material Staging.Material Staging can done with reference to the Material or with reference to the Planned Order etc...
You can do the following with MF60:
1. Direct stock transfer : You must select Staging type (Storage location level)
To use direct stock transfer, you must maintain an issue storage location for each component in the BOM (or in the material master record or the production version). The system only displays those requirements for which you have defined an issue storage location
2. Stock transfer reservation : You must select Staging type 1 (Storage location level)
The system then automatically displays the storage location view of the pull list. The system also only selects the corresponding requirements.
In Global Settings, you must adopt the default settings and you must also select Stock transfer reservation.
I hope you must have maintained the Customization Setting for Stock Determination Strategy with reference to your plant with 311 movement.

Stock trasfer reservation with movement type 311

Dear APO Experts,
I have plant 1200 and storage location MRP area CA_03 within plant 1200.
When planning, STRs are created and if ciffed to ERP, reservation with movement type 301 is shown.
My question is as follows.
Is it possible to create these reservations in APO with the movement type 311 (sloc to sloc) instead of the movement type 301 (plant to plant).

To the best of my knowledge it may not work as you are expecting. The basis reason seems to be that SLOC is not treated as SLOC in APO when it is defined as MRP Area. MRP area (SLOC) is treated as Plant (Location) in APO. Hence movement type will be 301 plant to plant & not 311 sloc to sloc

Post a good issue against an outbound delivery with movement type 601 K

Hello,
according to my business scenario I need to manage the stock of different vendors into the client's location (plant) at storage location level and I need to post the good issue against an outbound delivery to decrease the stock level.
Since the owner of the goods isn't my client the item is managed only at quantity level (not value) so I'm not interesed in the accounting document.
To do it I'm using the functionality related to the vendor consignment stock but I'm not able to post the good issue against an outbound delivery using the movemement type 601 and the special stock indicator equal to K.
In particular I've tried in two different ways:
- setup the consignment stock indicator (= K) into the sales item category, but when I post the goods issue the system is not able to find out the right vendor
- to create a stock determination rule instead of the setting previous described, but the system display an error message (Fld selectn for mvmt type 601 / acct L534200770 differs for Cost center (010) ) even if the accouting is not relevant in my scenario
Can you suggest me how the system has to be setup in order to cover my requirements?

Please clarrify which material type you are using in this scenario? I suggest you to use material type UNBW (no value updation will be there) and create a material master. Use special stock indicator K. Proceed with 601K to do GI. Hope it works. Thanking you.

Ountbound delivery with MB1B movement type 311

Dear Kari
I am afraid that the approach suggested is not feasible. As of SAP R/3 4.7, it is indeed possible to carry out stock transfer orders between two storage locations of the same plant but you cannot create the purchase order with transaction MB1B. (The movement type, moreover, would be 641, not 311.)
However, MB1B does create outbound deliveries for transfer postings with movement type 311 if the issuing storage location is either Handling Unit managed or assigned to a decentralized WM.

Movement type 311 is not planned in Back Ground Processing

I have created a BDC to run the transaction "MIGO" with movement type 311.
Its working fine in foreground. But i execute in Background i am getting a error message "Movement type 311 is not planned for this operation".
I think there should be some config settings. But i don know where to check configuration ?
If anyone has any sugggestions or answers , Pls post here.

Better you can use the BAPI "BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE".
Check with your Functional Consultant for this issue......
You may also look for an OSS note and in Last raise a ticket to SAP..but there is no surety that every txn will work with BDC in Background Mode.

Transfer posting with Mov Type 311E in MIGO with reference to SC-PO

Hi,
I am working with MTO scenario.
I want to carry out transfer posting of material with movement type 311E against subcontracting Purchase Order which is sale order specific.
However, system does not allow me to do the same. whenever transfer posting, PO & movement type is selected in transaction MIGO, item details entry tabs are displayed blank.
Below steps are being follow:
Scenario is MTO ( special stock subcontracting)
1. Subcontracting PO no. 4500000147 against Sale Order no 61 created.
2. RM code - 61, available stock 100 TO & batch no.0000000127
3. Transfer material to vendor for processing through MIGO ( since it is a special sales order stock, transferring happens from SL 0001- Main Stores to SL VLSC -Virtual storage location) using movement type 311 E
5. Item Data details tabs are blank.---This is the issue / error.
Note: I am restricted to post transfer posting through MIGO-Transfer Posting (will not use MB1B) due to some enhancement of MIGO and interfaces with legacy system.

Movement type 311 E in WM

Hi gurus,
I am working on product support @clients place where we have MTO items.
Now the scenario is that a material XYZ was Goods Receipted in a wrong storage location (0001) by the Production Order confirmation. This was due to the way it was setup was incorrect.
So to create a Delivery for these items, I had to move the stock from the current location (0001) to another location(0002) in the same plant.
For this I used MB1B - 331 E. This worked fine on the IM side.
Now on the WM side there was an entry e.g. 0001 E - Storage type (010) before the change was done.
After the change, the transfer posting entered a negative entry for the same quantity of the item. However this negative entry is lying in the Interim storage type 992 e.g. 0001 E - Storage type (992)
I want to nullify these 2 entries. So i read on some forums & thought of doing a LT01 and transfer the positive value from 0001 E - 010 to 0001 E - 992.
However for storage type 010, negative stock is not allowed.
I am confused & dont know what to do in this case.
Can anyone tell me how to nullify this WM stock ?

If my understanding is correct. You want to transfer post a stock of material from one storage location to another ( IM perspective ) and from one bin to another bin belonging to different storage types but same plant ( WM perspective ).
As this transfer posting does not involve any Sales order what is the logic behind the selection of movement type 311 E.
I hope you can very well make use of 311 movement type for the transfer posting in IM which will lead to the generation of a PCN in the WM side. On confirming the same you will be able to do the reflection of Transfer posting in WM side also.
I would suggest you to follow the above steps.
1) First check the transfer posting 311 E which you have already completed a PCN in the background. If it is availble, just try to confirm the posting Change notice which will clear off the negative entry and a correponding postitive entry in the receiving storage type.
2) In case if the system have not generated the PCN, then better to cancel the material docuemnt and re do the transfer posting to carry out the process from the start with the movement type 311 which will yield a PCN which can be confirmed to see the stock in the required storage type and in the respective bin accoring to the strategy set.

Issue with Mvt type 311

Hi friends,
I have a issue with stock transfer from one storage location to another with transaction MB1B using movement type 311.
When ever we transfer stock for a material, it transfers from unrestricted to quality restricted stock. eg. if a trasfer from 0001 sloc to 0002 sloc, then it will transfer 0001 unrestricted to 0002 quality inspection.
Can plese some one tell me where these settings are maintained?

This is not the SAP Standard Practice,
While transfer of material from one storage location another stoarge location thorugh 311 movement type, the stock type should be same in both the storage locations.
you can directly transfer from Unrestricted 0001 storage location to 0002 Storage location (quality inspection), before that you should match both stock type , through respective movement type 321 or 322.
then you can transfer one storage location to another (stock type should be same)

Disable Shelf Life Expiration date for Movement Type 311

Hi All,
Whenever we run the transaction MB1B with the movement type 311, it copies the batch and its shelf life expiiration date. Due to this, there are time when the user unknowingly enter a differrent SLED and hence change the batch unknowingly. We want to stop this. We want that while we are doing 311, the batch record and the SLED should get copied from the batch master BUT the field for SLED should be grayed out or the user should not be abale to enter ANYTHING in the SLED and the system should take the default SLED from batch master. Can we achieve it through config ? Please suggest.

Please get a user exit developed and add it to the program SAPMM07M which is used in MB1B which will solve your purpose. The User exit should be fired when using 311 movement type during copying of Batch Characteristics. Hope this helps you.

Deliveries using movement type 161

Hi experts:
I am working with an escenario with movement type 161, the process flow is the next:
1. In transaction MB01, I create document material with movement 161, there isn´t purchase order (returns)
2. When I create document material, the system create purchase order (return) automatically.
Settings are configured to create a purchase order at the same time when document material is created, but __I need to create a delivery after document material to process goods issue to vendor because I am working in a Decentralized WM_.

I have other question, is it possible to create outbound delivery if I want to create the document material firts in transaction MB0A without purchase order (return)?

Multiple receivng storage locations on Reservation (movement type 311)

We have a requirement where we create a reservation document either using BAPI or BDC (MB21). At the time of creation we require to maintain different receiving storage location on the reservation. Currently SAP allows to maintain receiving storage location on the header field RKPF - UMLGO only and then copies the same value on all line item field (RESB-UMLGO)..The line item field is not editable or set as I/O field therefore working on finding a user exit or BADI to update fields RESB - UMLGO in background. Has any one had this requirement and in case yes can you please advise how was this addressed.

Elmka,
There are several things that could stop the Transfer Order from being created. Please check the following:
Is the source bin blocked due to inventory?
Is the material in unrestricted stock?
If you are transfering partial stock from one Sloc to another, and the stock is maintained in multiple warehouose bins, then SAP may not have been able to determine which bin to select. Test this in the WH activity monitor (Tcode LL01) - there should be an open transfer Requirement. Select it and process in the background. If it errors, try processing it in the foreground and manually select the bin and quantity.
If the stock is in one bin or you are transfering the ENTIRE quantity but the TO still wasn't created, check configuration to ensure auto TO is configured (2 places to check):
>IMG: Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Activities > Transfers > Define Movement Types
>IMG: Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Interfaces > Inventory Management > Define Movement Types >> LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management - - Here you ensure your IM movement type 311 & 312 are assigned to WM movement types 311 & 312 + have Immediate TO creation set to "A" (automatically in the background)

Value in Movement Type 311

Dear All,
We are transfering material from One Storage location to another using T-code MB26/MB1B. When We see material movement through MB51 it shows no value. We know, system is showing zero value, as there is no financial transaction in movement type 311. How can we know how much value of material transfered from X storage location to Y storage location from (a) date to (b) date.

In 311 movement funtion for material transfer from one storage location to another, Once this movement will hit, Only Material document will trigger to create, Account document will not create,, If you need to find the value of transfer material.Plz check plant level stk with mvt type
