Outbound delivery confirmation : MM - With Idoc

Hello,
can you let us know if you have already use an idoc type to
confirm the picking of an outbound delivery and create the packing at the same time (HUM created and VL02N GI Posted) ?
It seems that this action is possible in DWM (EWM) but not existing for an MM Business flow (Stock managed only in MM)

when we finish an outbound delivery with a goods issue, we see in VL03N the correct details and packaging information. There is no obvious mistake here, no error, up to Goods Issue we can change everything.

Inbound/Outbound Delivery using DESADV01 Inbound IDOC

We are trying to use Message type DESADV, basic type DESADV01 to represent inbound and outbound material deliveries. Our SAP system is configured to accept these IDOCs and apply process code DESA which calls function module IDOC_INPUT_DESADV.
Our question is which of DESADV01's Segment-Field is used to tell the FM that we are talking about an Inbound or an Outbound delivery?
I have read something related to E1EDL21-LFART, but this field seems only present in basic type DELVRY01. Is there something similar in DESADV01?

We are not having problems with the direction of the IDOC. The IDOC is always Inbound to the SAP system, as we want it to be. However the delivery which the IDOC represents can be an inbound delivery (material has entered a certain plant) or an outbound delivery (material has come out of a certain plant).

Output type not created for outbound delivery while using SHMNT05 idoc type

Hi Experts,
Please help me to solve the below issue.
Problem:- I want to to generate an IDOC(using type SHPMNT06) once the PGI is done for an outbound delivery.
Already it is working fine when used DESADV.DESADV01 or DESADV.DELVRY07. But now the output type is not getting created when used SHMNT.SHPMNT06. I have created a separate output type ZPJ7 just as a mirror copy of the earlier output type(ZPJ6) used for DESADV.DELVRY07.
Question:- Is it possible to use idoc SHPMNT06 instead for DESADV01 or DELVRY07? If yes then what are steps to be followed?
The reason why SHPMNT06 idoc is planned:- We have a scenario to send outbound delivery to 3rd party system via XI. If the outbound delivery is for National(Not for Export) and PGI is completed then send the idoc straight forward to XI otherwise DO NOT generate the idoc, but just create the delivery. Collect all the deliveries in a transport and send it in a shipment. The shipment details can be sent using SHPMNT idoc. Now from XI perspective, if we can utlitze the same SHPMNT idoc for the National delivery(1st case) then perhaps this will require less effort. Hence shipment idoc is required to be generated when the delivery is created and PGI is done.
Also it would be great if you can advice some better way to solve above mentioned scenario.

There could be several reasons. Go to the document and in the extras-output check output determination analysis in the processing log.
If the output has been created successfully then you need to see your printer determination. Ask basis to check it up. If the problem is that even the print preview is not coming. Check your communication in the output analysis and ensure LOCL is selected. Any other printer will need to be configured.
If thats done already then check whether you have maintianed the condition record.
If that too is done then check whether your output type has been assigned to the output procedure and that the output type is listed in the procedure.

Auto Create Outbound Delivery and Shipment from IDoc

Hi Ppl,
Currently, we have a transport company which handles all our transportation of goods to our customer.
We develop a project, phase 1 which we automatically sends sales order in form of IDocs to our transport company and they in turn we send us an excel file on how they have group those sales order into shipment using their own criteria of weight, destination, customer etc.
Now, on our phase 2 of the project, we want the transport company to send us this file in form or IDoc or acceptable file format and which will automatically create outbound deliveries and shipment on how they grouped it.
This should also be able to change deliveries or shipment if the sales order changes.
Please how do we go about this?

As far as I know, you need to have a custom IDoc scenario for this. Here is what you can do.
1. Create a custom IDoc Type to receive Orders.
2. Create a Custom message Type & Custom Process code along with the Custom Posting Program (FM) for this requirement.
3. Perform the validations & process the IDocs by using the WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE & WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE_2 for creating Deliveries & BAPI_SHIPMENT_CREATE FM to create the Shipments.
This being a custom scenario, you'd be required to do some custom development as well in order to meet up with your business needs.

VL01n with BAPI - how to crate Outbound delivery via BAPI with SerialNumber

I have a lot of problem with Serial number manage, i had try to use BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 but without results.
Plese explain me how can i manage Serial Numer in BAPI.
Manually i charge serial number in:
Transaction VL02N , in manu i select " EXTRAS" --> "Serial Number".

I think(It's strictly my opinion), if a suitable serial number profile is maintained in plant/material then this assignment should happen automatically!!

IDOC - Change outbound delivery in SAP

Hello ,
I would like to change the outbound delivery in SAP(with the picked quantity ) using an IDOC triggered from external system .
Im using SHPCON / DELV / IDOC_INPUT_DELVRY . Im not very sure about the fields that i should use to pass the picked quantity and also not sure whether the message type SHPCON can be used for this . Could someone throw light on this.

If you want to change the PICK values use SDPICK message.

Sales Order - Outbound Delivery IDoc scenario.

Hi Friends,
I have the below urgent requirement. I would be gratful, if someone suggest possible options.
Scenario: This is related to Sales order to Billing scenario.
We are creating Sales orders by using ORDERS05 Idoc. After the Real goods despatch happens at legacy system, we will be getting despatch feed (IDoc) for outbound delivery trigger. Here if all sales Order items are complete, the system is creating Outbound delivery by using this IDoc and then PGI will follow. This is Ideal scenario.
Practically what happening is, our sales orders are created with few incomplete items (Ex: Net price missing) because they are created via ORDERS05 Idoc.( Manually, we can't create sales order with incomplete items, unless we force the system to do so). When the Out bound delivery IDoc triggered, it will pick up only completed items and creates partial delivery and becomes 53 status. Now the sales order is left out with open and incomplete items.
Now our aim is how to make this outbound delivery IDoc fail, if this is not able to create delivery for all items?? (I mean, if the sales order items are incomplete, the delivery Idoc must fail. So later, if sales order becomes complete, this Idoc can be reprocessed again) How can we make this scenario possible??

HI,
I suggest you to think of similar solution as below.
1.As your issue is at order (few items are incomplete with Pricing issue or some other issue), at sales order level while saving each sales order write the code in user exit_save_document_prepare to check if any items exists as incomplete. if yes then populate a delivery block in the sales document header.(you can use a new delivery block to distinguish the reason for the block)
2. While creating delivery for the order through Idoc since the incomplete orders have a delivery block at the sales document header level SAP wont create delivery for the entire Order.
3.Handling this delivery block at sales order header: when ever a sales order is popluated with this new delivery block triggere a workflow which will shoot a mail to your End user team or customer representative team. they will correct the issue in the order and remove the delivery block. if you dont want to go with a workflow then you need to incorporate a process to remove the delivery block in the sales order

Hi,
Message type is DESADV
Basic type is DELVRY01 to 03 (can check the latest version or supported version)
Function module : BORES_IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1 or IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1
This is used for creating outbound deliveries, shipping noticfication etc.

Create outbound delivery with GN_DELIVERY_CREATE

hi,
how could i create an outbound delivery without reference with fm GN_DELIVERY_CREATE?.
It is no problem to create this kind of delivery when the delivery positions have a material number. delivery item category is 'DLN' (=standard).
but i can´t create an outbound delivery with positions which have no material number. delivery itemcateory is 'DLTX' (= text positions without an material number.
currently i use a batch input programm which simulates VL01NO. But i want to change this.
can someone please help me how to create an outbound delivery without reference and only with text positions?

I have resolved this issue, I'm posting here so that it could be useful to someone.
To trigger output from Inbound delivery, I have setup a new output and also developed a process code XXXX. A new FM is developed for this process code.
In the new/ customized FM, I have called the standard FM 'IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS' which is used to pull PO data for ME10 process code.
It is know that we have to pass PO number as object-key to the FM to pull the PO data but when a output is triggered from inbound delivery object-key will be a delivery number.
Write a simple select statement which will get the PO number from EKES and set this as object key and pass it to FM 'IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS' .
Thus, you can generate an outbound IDOC which has PO data when triggered from E1 application (Inbound Delivery).

Pack existing Handling Units into outbound delivery

Hi,
The current scenario is that a WHSCON IDoc is passed into SAP which will pack handling units onto an inbound delivery. As part of this processing the IDoc will create the HU records on VEKP.
Now, we are sending in a similar WHSCON IDoc to pack the same HU onto an outbound delivery. However, the IDoc is failing. It appears that the IDoc wants to create the HU instead of simply using the existing one.
Has anybody faced a similar issue.

Yes, I have the same problem now.
In the past we had 2 wm sub systems which send data via WHSCON to SAP and pack the delivery items.
To avoid error messages we "kill" the old vekp-record by setting the vekp-status to "0099" with a hart update and create new hu records.
Nowadays this solution is not sufficient, because the old hu has serial numbers.
Any solution in sight?

Condition table for outbound delivery

Is it possible to create a new condition table for outbound delivery output type with a field sold-to, although this field is available in the field catalogue , it does not show up during a table creation in the FieldCatlg,why?

Hi Dominik,
You need to Append the new fields which you want to see in the Field Catelog to create a condition table.
Please follow the following process
Got to T. Code SE11 andGive the Table name
Then click on the Button Append Structure and
Key in the name of you append starting with letter 'Z'.
Add fields whcih you want.
Activate the table.
